Motherchip in Norwich

Best burger I’ve had in Norwich 100%!! I’ve tried all the others but nothing was close to what MotherChip had to offer. I had the triple smash burger with DrPepper pulled pork loaded fries. Honestly go try it !!

Just no - or yes if you like your food swimming in oi. I lved the sound of the SF chicken with stilton etc etc but it was chewy and such a let down.

A great treat to have with a beer in the pub. Very dirty, very filling and great value for money! Can't wait for my next visit.

Never a mis-step, always evolving. Burgers are awesome too. Very generous and flavorful chip toppings.

I didn't eat as already had at home but when family did wish I hadn't and joined them great pub so many beers my favourite is stouts there is loads to choice from if you love Ur ale go you will not be disappointed I spoke to a few locals they love it there after hard days work especially weekends my sister said food spot on

Based at the Brewery Tap pub/microbrewery, the chips I had were fab. They came in a Dr Pepper flavoured BBQ sauce which, although sounding strange, was surprisingly tasty.

Had the Dr Pepper pulled pork, delicious!

Carbs on carbs, on carbs... Very generous sized portions that'll keep you full for an evening of drinking

Has the buffalo and blue chicken chips. Very nice, had three chili's next to it but wasn't hot at all (that's not a complaint on my part, just an observation)

Been wanting to visit for ages and finally got to go and have to say I was alittle disappointed. I had the mac and chicken fries which in reality was mac with very few fries. I wasnt expecting so much topping and very little actual chips. Don't feel it was very good value

There are lots of loaded chips or chips in buckets people floating around Norfolk and I've tried all of them in Norfolk, Motherchip gets the balance between topping and chip just right they are the one to beat. 10/10

I had a delivery of one of Motherchips burgers and a side of chips and mushy peas. If you like a filthy burger this is a must. That and a Fat Cat Brewery Tap pub beer during lockdown what else do you want.

Disfrutamos del gato gordo y de todas las cervezas y sidras encantadoras que ofrece y hemos estado esperando un chip madre por algún tiempo. . . Sin embargo, esta noche estábamos muy decepcionados. Las patatas fritas estaban frías y cocidas. Los platos estaban fríos, así que pedimos platos frescos, una vez que regresaron estaban muy calientes, los sabores eran muy fuertes pero sabrosos también, desafortunadamente, todavía encontramos que las papas estaban demasiado cocidas, sin mullido medio. También quiero mencionar que el lado del pollo con suero de leche es en realidad el pollo frito del sur. Me encanta la idea de este menú y espero que puedan solucionar los problemas en el futuro.

He estado recibiendo Motherchip durante el tiempo que puedo recordar en FCBT y definitivamente ha pasado por una evolución. A pesar de todo, su pollo Buffalo con queso azul o stilton siempre ha sido mi favorito. La salsa de ala de búfalo legítima realmente la une. También el nuevo - ish Crispy Beef one. . . wayyy mejor que cualquier carne crujiente que he probado de cualquier chino en Norwich sin dudarlo. Las papas estaban nadando en la salsa, pero los sabores eran perfectos y el nivel de calor era justo. Sus chips han pasado por la mayor transformación y puedo decir que actualmente se encuentran en un nivel de alta calidad. Muy abundantes ya menudo parece que son dos veces, o incluso tres veces frito, lo que es genial. También probé el bistec y el queso azul esta vez y quedé muy contento. Muy buen tamaño de la porción, y sus nuevos tazones redondos son una alternativa muy atractiva a sus viejos cartones plegables. Muy alta calidad y lo que yo llamaría "chips de lujo" a un precio muy justo por lo que obtienes. Sin duda lo recomiendo y va muy bien con una pinta!

I’ve been getting Motherchip for as long as I can remember at FCBT and it’s definitely gone through an evolution. Through all of it, their Buffalo Chicken with either blue cheese or stilton has always been my fav. Legit buffalo wing sauce really pulls it together. Their chips have gone through the largest transformation and I can say they are currently at a high quality level. Very hearty and often seem like they are twice, or even thrice fried which is great. Also tried the steak and blue cheese this time around and was very pleased. Very good serving size, and their new round bowls are a very attractive alternative to their old foldable cartons. Very high quality and what I would call “posh chips” at a very fair price point for what you get. Definitely would recommend and goes great with a pint!

Nipped in whilst the rugby was on, the pub itself was packed inside but there was loads of room outside both to the front and rear of the pub. Had bratwurst with sauerkraut ( could barely find any in mine), curry mayo, crispy onions and chips, tasty if a bit greasy I think this as down to the onions - , quite expensive for what it was at 6.95 but service was swift considering how busy the were.

Greasy floppy chips and thick gooey batter on the fish. Just a no no for me as I am an expert on fish and chips coming from the coast. Shame really as I was so hungry and looking forward to some proper home cooked batter and lovely, hot crispy chips but didn't get it.

Good selection on the menu and funny named dishes as well - have had the fish and chips a few times and always really good. Worth a try next time you're in the pub or in the area!

Unhealthy carbs loaded with more unhealthy toppings not good value albeit it is what it is quick fast food with alcohol

Really liked the idea of this as I already liked the pub so adding chips could only be a good thing. Despite sounding exciting, they were quite disappointing. The chips were quite dry and not fluffy inside, and tasted like oven chips. The "guacamole" was basically green sour cream, maybe it had some avocado in but I couldn't detect it. The chilli was OK but also quite dry. My boyfriend had the salt beef chips and enjoyed them more, especially the mustard mayo.
