Food is delicious as always and portion sizes are huge! Would highly recommend :)

Lovely staff and good breakfast

We stopped here for lunch when returning from Devon recently. I chose it because of the good Tripadvisor reviews. We were not disappointed. It's a lovely little cafe with friendly staff and good service. My pastrami, lettuce, mustard sauce and cheddar cheese sandwich was AMAZING. The inside was warm and the pastrami the best I have ever tasted by far. My husband had pancakes, bacon and maple syrup- also very good. Well done Papas cafe. Thanks for a great lunch.

I don’t often leave reviews but we have just left This Ancient Boro and I feel I need to tell everyone how amazing our tapa was. We had 8 plates and we both commented on how delicious every single one of them was. I can’t recommend highly enough, the food was excellent and Sarah was amazing was well worth the trip 🥰

This family run restaurant is amazing the food was stunning and the service was outstanding we have been to have lunch and dinner there. We have built a wonderful relationship with the owners and staff. We will be popping in again in the next couple of days

Delicious Mediterranean food on offer.

Era nuestra primera visita con algunos amigos que habían estado antes. Ordenamos que comenzaran el borek y el sujuk, seguidos por el Boscaiola de Cordero y el Karniyarik. Nuestros amigos compartieron halloumi para empezar, y tenían chuletas de cordero y Penne Pesto para la red. Todos los platos tenían un tamaño generoso, por lo que no había consideración alguna de tomar un postre. Me gustó especialmente el Karniyarik, ya que la berenjena estaba tierna, y el picado y las verduras con las que estaba relleno estaban llenos de sabor. El servicio fue atento durante todo el día. Los precios de las bebidas son un poco altos, pero los precios de los alimentos eran justos para la calidad y el tamaño de las porciones.

Excellent venue for an authentic family run Turkish experience with warm welcoming atmosphere. Food was excellent always a delight to come back and see Naz, Hasan, Aliona and all the staff. Ghalib & Janice Al-Nasser

Lovely restaurant with a nice ambiance. The food quality is fab, really tasty and presented really well. Was disappointed with portions, as our dishes appeared to a lot smaller than others we saw served, so something that needs to be addressed. Service was very slow, but that may have been because we were sat outside, staff were lovely though!

After recommendations from a friend our party was very excited to go to this restaurant. The waiting staff were very efficient and friendly the food was very good. Unfortunately the owner did not seem very inviting? My friend ordered a water as she was a designated driver which was received by an eye roll, by the manager. Upon paying we were told that 1 party member did not arrive so we would need to pay the bill for this but the owner would wave this if we left a tip for the floor staff, we chose to pay the meal and was abruptly told that we had not also left a tip, because the staff has worked very hard. One of the floor staff spilled a tray of food over another friend which was mortifying for the waitress bless her we understand it was an accident. (this did stain our friends white jacket) but the manager did not address this or apologise at the end of the evening. To summarise: *Waiting Staff friendly and did work hard *Food nice *Vegan option not great I would not say *vegan friendly, but humous and bread was lovely. *Manager brought the atmosphere down and made us feel unwelcome. For this reason I would not return unfortunately.
