The best restaurants serving Mediterranean food in North East

I had a good experience at this restaurant. The staff were friendly and the food was good. I went to this restaurant 2 times when in Middlesbrough for the night before getting a coach the next morning. I would definitely go back when next in Middlesbrough.

This place never ever disappoints... service, food, drinks .... its so well run. We all had dishes from the BBQ section of the menu I had chicken shish which was cooked to perfection and the rice is absolutely mazing ive never tasted rice like it. My hubby loves the mixed grill not greasy or oily just well BBQ'd meats. If u haven't visited u need to it's consistently good ... never ever have u had a bad meal here and staff are serond to none, u just don't get places like this anymore. We will all be going back k sooner rather than later.

Realmente fabuloso, lugar concurrido en Fenwicks. El personal es bastante bueno, aunque me pareció un servidor muy familiar, que no creo que sea apropiado para este tipo de lugar. Cócteles deliciosos. El tablero de catas mediterráneo fue una gran selección. Pedimos un pan de ajo de tomate también, que era pequeño pero agradable. El punto de precio es alto para el tamaño de las porciones, que es la única razón por la que le he dado 4 estrellas en lugar de 5.

Wonderful lunch, Brilliant food. Lovely staff. Warm and cosy and a fabulous menu. What more could you want.

Took my granddaughter tonight. Staff were fantastic including the new member. Food was amazing.Definitely be back. Lovely experience.

I have eaten the food from Armenian Kitchen twice now, both takeaway. The food is so fresh and delicious I look forward to being able to eat in the restaurant when it reopens :) would recommend to friends and family and would definitely eat here again

We visited for the first time yesterday just by chance as we were out walking. What a find! The deli sandwiches we ordered were absolutely divine. Great choice of toasties, bagels, sandwiches - was hard to choose! The homemade soup was delicious too! Didn’t have room for anything sweet so we’ll try another time. Lovely decor, attentive service - overall a lovely little place. We will most definitely be back for more!!

Really good portions, not hot on arrival but for how far it’s travelled I’m not surprised and not the end of the world to reheat! Salad and sauces lovely!

Best breakfast ive had in sunderland. After 4 hrs up A&e was very tasty. Very reasonbly priced and lovely little cafe . Even had heinz ketchup

Food delivered on time but was food barely warm.

Would not recommend. Hadn't been here for years (no particular reason for not coming back sooner, just didn't), and decided to come back as had loved this place in the past. We were totally shocked as the food tonight was abysmal; the belly pork was microwaved, the sea bass was overcooked, the steak was very chewy, the stifado meat was dry, the calamari was chewy and not crispy. The patatas bravas, the spinach croquettes and chicken croquettes were nice (however, the croquettes barely had any spinach or chicken in them). The waiter asked if everything was ok, I said no, but he did not reply, apologise in any way, or try to rectify the situation. When we asked for the bill and another waiter came with the card machine, we asked for the service charge to be removed and explained it was due to the food being terrible, the 2nd waiter didn't apologise or offer any solution to rectify the situation either. It was a totally shocking experience, we definitely won't be coming back, and would not recommend coming here. Also, I don't believe service charge should be added to the bill. It's a form of emotional manipulation; a lot of people could feel uncomfortable asking for the service charge to be removed as they may feel rude, so they'd feel forced to pay the service charge, regardless of how much it is. A customer should only give a tip if they feel like it, and they should give the amount they feel comfortable giving.
