Brilliant place excellent staff but very expensive. I bought 2 things it came 2 £23.00 1 pint of diet coke & a pasta dish

Out for lunch with friends celebrating a birthday. Some of my friends were reasonably happy with their meals. However, the Spaghetti Al Gamberoni (a grand name I know ) which was described on the menu as ‘spaghetti tossed with king prawns in a fresh tomato and garlic chilli sauce’ was terrible…. I would liken it to a Heinz tinned spaghetti type sauce with 4 prawns thrown in. Even a generous dose of black pepper didn’t raise the flavour. I’ve been a regular patron of this establishment but over a period have seen such a decline in quality….. shame really !

Brilliant friendly service fast even when busy very welcoming and children friendly. Looking around the staff work hard to keep this place clean and nice. The food was beautiful and prices are really decent. Great place to eat out highly recommended.

Rather than choose from the Early Doors menu I choose sea bass from the a la carte. I have ordered this before many times and enjoyed it however this time the fish was overcooked and very disappointing. I have put this down to the fact that it was only 5.30 and perhaps this meal had been kept warm for far too long? Staff were lovely and attentive so its such a pity that my meal choice fell far short of what I would normally expect when paying full price.

Had Sunday lunch and it exceeded our expectations. Welcoming atmosphere, friendly prompt service and plate warmed. Tasty gravy, perfectly roasted beef, good selection of vegetables.

Still the best to visit in this area.

Tre amici is so good i love the parmos here i have been 7 weeks in a row and still going the staff here are lovely and the food and drink are very affordable i have never been dissapointed here and the doorman always tries to fit me in, i have tried many dishes including wraps,pastas,risotto,chicken dishes and burgers and they are all amazing

Used the online booking system and received a confirmation pending email. Never received final confirmation so rang and was told it had been rejected. We could've turned up and been turned away. Don't trust the online booking system. Simply not good enough.

A place which I have visited on weekend evenings on several occasions & have yet to be disappointed. Convivial atmosphere, lovely decor, trained efficient staff. Food has never failed to please. Highly recommended

This place was starting to to become the first choice for when we were in the town. However we had been out for a walk and although we'd been in a few times we were denied getting a table because of the way we were dressed. There was many tables free but the head waiter t"the guy who has modelled himself on Fred Sirieix 😬" looked us up and down and said he had no tables free. Don't worry we won't be back and you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Disgusting behaviour 😔

Hosted a team party, service was superb. Food was spot on. Prices more than reasonable. No doubt we will all be returning.

We visited here for Sunday lunch. I opted for the beef, which was lovely and tender. The roast potatoes were average, and the mash potato was watery. The portion sizes are very generous. Good selection of drinks available. Overall, I would say the Sunday lunch was average, but I will be back to try the main menu as the actual restaurant had a lovely, chilled vibe.

Great choice of food, reasonably priced

We came as a family for a Christmas meal. We had a shared garlic bread starter, one kids meal and two adult mains. Chicken Crema with rice and chorizo risotto for the adults and a pizza for the child! The food was absolutely delicious, piping hot and the service was brilliant! Cocktails were strong and yummy and overall it was a wonderful meal out. Fab service, quality food, value for money and really nice decor. The only negative was that we were seated near the main doors and felt an arctic blast every time they opened! It seemed generally cooler sat there anyway but we were unable to move due to being fully booked! Was a shame and we hurried to finish our food due to being cold. Was the only thing that was wrong with the whole night.

Sunday lunch Jan 2024 absolutely wonderful tender tasty meat sensible price for drinks with a great selection of wines. First glass, brightened a rather dull day. Went for happy hour good price and big portions very well cooked and great service.

The meal started with prosecco, which was a bonus for me as other half doesn't drink so 2 for me. They ask if you are ready for each course so you can take your time or in our case let the previous course rest no time restrictions. The meals were amazing I had scallops and chorizo he had soup both were delicious. We were people watching and checking the food out. The main course was massive so much so we brought a full meal home. Desert champagne sorbet mmm. There was nothing to fault, friendly, efficient, attentive staff including the Grinch (waiter). We will definitely be booking next year

This is the second time we have been to Tre-Amici as a large group and would highly recommend. The service was excellent and lots of variety and choice on menu. The food and drinks were brought promptly and all the waiting staff were very friendly and attentive. The food and cocktails are nicely presented and served in a timely manner for a large group. They were also very well organised in helping separate the bill at the end so our group had no problem working out who owed what and paying separately. Will definitely go again and highly recommend.

We were a party of 16 (work outing) and cannot fault our whole experience. The restaurant was very busy but we were made to feel as though we were their only customers. Nothing was too much trouble, we had pre-ordered and our food (starters and mains) arrived at the same time and were deliciously piping hot. They asked if we wanted more drinks throughout the meal and the staff were all very friendly and cheery - they had real enthusiasm! Paying the bill was straightforward, we had paid a deposit in advance and everyone was able to pay individually for food & drinks and deposit was removed. A fantastic evening was had by all, made even better by the fab staff and brilliant service at Tre Amici.

I turned up without a booking, which given it was midweek shouldn't have been a problem, however it was still very busy and I was still welcomed and given a table for two. I ordered a beer while I checked out the menu, this is when my taste experience started, jucy prawns in my Gamberoni Diavola had me requesting the red wine list, and asking for something to compliment my main of Spaghetti Frutti Di Mare. I was not disappointed, I was recommended the Primitivo Masseria Settearchi, which was extremely tasteful with each combined bite and sip. I can't recommend this place enough, I'll be back soon, probably next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. When you find a place like this, why would you not go as often as you can?

Lovely place..very nicely decorated..clean and tidy..staff very polite and pleasant...food was lovely..First time there will definitely be back...Christmas menu as well as normal menu..lots of acholic drinks to choose from as well as soft drinks..kids menu..if planning on an evening meal best to book a table before it can get very busy...

The restaurant is really nice and it has a party atmosphere. The staff was really polite but they offered us a bill which was not for us and then I jokingly asked them for a free drink 😁. They got us our bill and we happily left the place.

We came as a group of 6 friends for dinner this evening, The meals were tasty and well presented. Larrissa was very friendly and professional making sure we had everything we needed. We will be back. Great service.

Quite cramped restaurant/bar, portions ok, not badly priced. Slow alternating light colours become annoying after a while. Bit annoying that salad/chip are not included in most meals and need to be ordered as extras.

Popped in for lunch. Wow absolutely lovely. My daughter had a wrap which came with chips I had pasta. We both had a drink, desert was a red velvet cheese cake which came with a huge dollop of ice cream. I had a coffee. The bill came to £32. Which I thought was reasonable. The staff were polite and attentive. With three Italian restaurants next door to each other and all competing for customers they all need to produce great food. When I visit Darlington again I'll certainly give Tre Amici another try.

I've been a little disappointed lately as they don't appear to vary the Sunday menu to include more salads for the summer season. I go with a group on a regular basis and many feel the same. Having said this, we can't fault the staff there who are always courteous and helpful.

Gorgeous place, great service, truly exquisite food. Goats cheese and caramelised onion garlic bread. Adrian was an excellent host and very professional.

Visited this resturant with my family. The server, Andrei, was kind, courteous and well versed in the meals and thier ingrediants. We had three seperate servers. All were well dressed, well groomed, and took pride in thier appearance and the restaurant. This is reflected in the service. The atmosphere is great. This is clearly popular with the 'Ladies at lunch' brigade. The room is well lit and the conveniences are very clean and accessible. Access can be gained by a set of stairs, but there is a purpose built and discreet ramp that leads directly up to the main door.

A couple of nights ago, my friend and I decided to call here and enjoy some food. I previously worked at this venue as a Barman when it used to be just a pub, so it felt strange to see it all changed on the interior. The meal I had, tasted fantastic. I opted for a Cajun spiced chicken burger. It was so tasty. Then I finished off with some Tiramisu. The ambience was lovely and calm. I would say that it is accessible to any wheelchair users as there is a ramp up to the main door. Although you could take children here for meals, the people in the restaurant that night tended to be young couples and older adults. I would definitely go back again.

Relaxing and chilled dining atmosphere to meet friends for lunch. Staff & service were impeccable as always, never rushed or pestered during our 2hr stay. Bravo.

I got food poisoning I think of an under cooked pizza that was stacked with peppers but I been sick twice tonight and horrificly sick out the other end.

Only okay, parmo came on its own without garnish or salad and minimal chips. Had a far better meal a week later in the pennyweight for around the same price.

Don't use online booking. They don't bother to answer it.

Walked in before 5pm last night and was told they needed the table by 6.15pm. Another staff came to say they needed our table for 6.15pm. Not long after a staff came to take our order and I said we've only looked at the starters and asked him to come back, he then "warned" us that we should place an order for mains too. I said we've just sat down and havent looked at the drinks nor mains. He then said he needed the table for 6.15pm and that he will "allow" us to order starters for now but we need to order our mains soon. So we walked away. I've always liked this place and their service but last night was an exception. I would've appreciated being told they have no available table instead of giving half ar**d service

Food cannot be faulted, the front of house service "Mr moustache" is rude and abrupt and has no customer skills. Not approachable or friendly and needs to think about the way he speaks to customers. In terms of drinks, ordered 2 X proseccos came in martini glasses ..asked for prosecco glasses and the two glasses were equivalent of 1 glass so false perception of getting two glasses! Michael is fabulous his waitering skills never fault, pity Mr moustache doesn't have the same approach!

Delicious food! We ordered from their happy hour menu, and it did not disappoint! Great quality Italian food, and really good portion sizes. Inside, there is a trendy and modern vibe, with staff always on hand. Will definitely be returning when passing through Darlington!

Beautiful restaurant and a very iconic building, we went for lunch and sat outside, we wanted a quick bite off the lunch menu. The food was very good and came to the table quickly. The service staff were very pleasant. Only slight issue because we were sat outside I felt we were neglected and their no form of way to attract service staff attention. But otherwise brilliant.

Always fast service. Reasonably priced food and great surroundings. There are probably better Italian restaurants but this place always delivers.

A crowd of us went in, waiter did not listen to orders and got orders all wrong. When we complained (to the manager), an extremely short, bald-headed, full of himself, tiny man strutting about in a bizarre suit blamed us and not his waiter. Needless to say, none of us will be going back due to the tiny, odd ball, bald-headed, full of himself, bizarrely dressed, nasty faced, joke of a so called owner.
