Absolutely amazing food and atmosphere. The way the chef cooks is like a show and gets everybody involved. Food was to die for and will definitely be back

Came here as Iām already a fan of there sushi from their takeaway. Itās a little tricky to find as they share the building with another restaurant, and occupy the lower floor, so you have to walk down the stairs if youāve entered the top entrance, otherwise they have a back entrance direct into their venue. We were very impressed with the service, presentation and range of delicious Japanese food. The Tapas menu was a winner with my wife who got to try a few different things, while for myself, the char siu ramen very tasty and extremely moorish. All in all, canāt wait to return!

Probably one of the most below average sushi I have had in a while. High rice to sushi ratio - and the fish doesn't really taste that fresh. I ordered a sushi box and tobiko gunkan - I was not impressed. Has nothing to do with some of the other offering Sheffield has in terms of sushi.

Plenty of space and music at a sensible volume. Really lovely and attentive staff. Unfortunately, for the price, the food is not of the standard we expected. The bao in particular was not very flavorful or generously filled. The gyoza were only just warm. We had the a la carte menu and after this meal I don't think we will be back to try the buffet. We enjoyed the sushi and the desserts and the takoyaki was the best we've had outside of Japan. Service was prompt and friendly.

Normally love teppanyaki but last night had the saddest, least flavoursome example of this type of food. The moment we arrived we were rushed to the table despite the fact that we were not late. The food did not look or taste fresh, garlic was not cooked through , eating raw garlic is unpleasant. Everything fish or crustaceans related was covered in an unflavoured yellow mayonnaise. Dessert was the usual for Sheffield pancake with vanilla ice cream but this time limited fruit on the plate, no flamed alcohol just dollops of cheap bottled chocolate sauce or cheap bottled syrup. There was no attempt at a show and our cook didnāt have the courtesy to finish his own service. Shame on you ! All of this for Ā£178.00, surely there must be better out there.
