Tsuki Restaurant & Bar in Sheffield

A very nice clean place with great service. The food was sugary, potions were very small and we opted for buffet and we were told we order every 15 minutes for two hours which was new to us.

After the Deliveroo guy, well let’s be generous, “failed to deliver” the majority of our order and then turned his phone off hoping we’d give up, Tsuki were outstanding. They sorted it out, made sure we had our food, and could not have been more helpful. The food was excellent! Top marks to Tsuki. Fabulous service.

The restaurant is well placed, easy to find, no need to drive. It's neat inside, the tables are clean and the service is quick and nice. A big minus for the bathrooms, unfortunately both the women's and men's bathrooms were neglected, the floors and doors were sticky, and after use i dont really want touch something else, really bothered me. The food looks really nice in the photos, although many of the menus look completely different! I ordered ramen with mushrooms, the ramen didn't taste like ramen, and there were mushrooms in the main soup, and maybe two moons of mushrooms, and it was small. The sushi was warm and sticky and did not taste fresh. Sashimi was served without ice and room temperature. A lot of the stuff was just not that good quality. But the sweet dishes are good.

We had all you can eat here, most of the foods are great quality, a bit over priced consider you need to wait for 15 mins per round to order the foods, and 4 dishes per person. This restaurant is similar to "Sakura", another Japanese all you can eat in Manchester. The quality of the food here is pretty good, slightly better than Sakura. Grilled foods have very nice grill flavor, and stir fried foods have nice wok flavor as well. Sushi are tasty, can taste the ingredients are fresh. I wouldn't recommend: - Ramen (taste plain and not authentic at all) - Bao bun (no one grilled the bao bun in Panini machine... The bao bun, the bun itself should be fluffy). Another down part: Wouldn't recommend to come if you have any plan made later as the place only let you order 4 dishes per person every 15mins. We visited around 4:30 pm on the day and had plan at 6pm, when we know we need to wait 15 mins to order next round, it was a bit rush to us and there were some foods we didn't get to try. Some portions are small, so if you unfortunately order 4 small portions, then you definitely need to wait a bit before you can place your next round order. Staff were super friendly and nice. Per person is about £38 for dinner price.

Went for the all you can eat buffet, I really enjoyed the food! The takaoyaki was delicious and so were the spare ribs. Perfect portion sizes for an all you can eat, the smaller plates allow you to try more variety. Super speedy service, they did forget on of my orders but I just re-ordered it after so it was so big deal. Would go again!

It's a bit cool so wear a sweater

CUSTOMER SERVICE. AVOID IF YOU ARE VEGAN, VEGETARIAN OR HAVE AN ALLERGY I was assured on the phone that there were vegan and vegetarian options available. However, on arrival I was informed that all the food is cooked together. All the deep fried and stir fried items are cooked in the same oil as the meat and fish so the food is not vegan or vegetarian at all. When I informed them it says vegan on the website I was told they need to change it as they only have one fryer. I asked if my sushi could be done separately and they said it is no garuntee that it won't have fish or meat in it. I agreed to try only the sushi as non of the other food would be vegan. I was then told I could order 2 dishes every 15 minutes not the 5 as advertised. The restaurant was empty and I know why! Rude staff & not allergy aware at all! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

The food is completely disgusting, the raw salmon is grey, the advacado was brown and the rice were like plastic pellets. Avoid at all cost

We came for a Friday night meal, the service was friendly but the food was the worst Japanese I’ve ever had. We ordered the vegetable gyozas which were mushy, the fillet steak which wasn’t a fillet and was very fatty, the wagyu sushi which was one of the worst things I’ve eaten, the mushroom noodles which were actually decent, the bao buns which were flat and hard, we were really disappointed and wouldn't choose to eat here again. The atmosphere wasn’t that of a nice restaurant more like a fast food place meets restaurant which from the instagram wasn’t what we were expecting, maybe we had too high expectations for the atmosphere, could have overseen this if the food was good but unfortunately it was really bad.

Quite overpriced for the quality and quantity. Tablet ordering system is a great idea, but not sure how an automated system loses orders. Service suffers as a result. Disappointing as takeaway was great

Incredible food, great service. A couple of minor hiccups with a couple of dishes being sent more than we ordered and my cucumber maki's nori was soggy and inedible. But for one issue across 50 or so dishes, i would say it was fantastic. We even had food served by a robot cat which was entertaining! The chicken Katsu was stand out. Very crunchy yet tender. Is a must order!

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff & food tastes really nice, however the food was a little cold. Tablet was a little frustrating, it kept increasing the order, so had to keep checking before pressing order. Would rather have the option to use a menu & order with a person.

This place is great, authentic sushi and very good quality. Their unlimited menu is amazing, but the service could be improved. I have been there with just my husband and with a group of 4 of us. When we went as a group of 4, we only had one pad to order and it felt like the entire time we were clock watching to order our next items. Also with 4 people it means each round is 16 dishes and that takes time to order. We also kept missing dishes or getting dishes we did not think were right, but with a 2 hours time limit it felt rushed and not enjoyable. I think they need to rethink their tablet ordering system and perhaps make it so that a group of 4 gets 2 tablets, and a group of 6 gets 3 and so on because then it allows the quests to have time to order and it does not hold up more experienced sushi eaters with less experienced. But by allowing 2 people to order per tablet then a group of 4 can order dishes and not feel like they need to rush so others in the group can order what they want. Furthermore I think they need a better system for waiters to bring food, waiters should have sections and parties should be placed in sections accordingly to make sure no waiter has too many people at a given time.

Love this place! It’s great value and the food is really nice. Innovative way to order and the robot waiters are fantastic. Lost a star for atmosphere as it was cold in the restaurant when we went last time.

Lovely decor and tasty food although not very authentic. We chose al a carte menu and there was an offer for free hot appetiser with 1 main. We placed our order on tablet and total bill came to around 50£ (it showed up on screen when we requested the bill). The waitress came to us with a printed bill of 66£. She insisted this is correct as offer only works if you choose special menu section on the tablet therefore it was not recognised by the system. We couldn’t go back to show the bill we saw as she already printed it and brought to us. The offer was clearly recognised by the system but somehow not by her. There was no way to explain this as she was very persistent that the bill she brought was correct. It ruined our experience which could have been amazing! I feel lied to and will definitely not return.

Some dishes are really nice, (particularly fresh fish & seafood). The battered dishes (Salt & Pepper chicken, Korean chicken) were really dry and very average. Sushi was nice but can't say I have it a lot, so I don't have much to compare it to. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was really clean with staff cleaning tables straight away. The restaurant was freezing, which then resulted in food being cold and having to dine with coats on. Overall, it's a very average restaurant and the prices are quite high for average.

We had gift vouchers given us as a birthday gift for the Baikingu (all you can eat buffet). we had a fabulous night midweek, which was not too busy for us. The only negative for us as young 60+ year olds, was that the retaurant was cold, we visited on a cold evening in January and it seemed to us that they had the AC on, so we wore coats! The food and service was excellent and it was a great experience. Loved the little robot that delivered some of our dishes 😊

First visit but will definitely visit again. Had the all you can eat £42 each, but was never over faced as you can only order 4 items every 15 min on the tablet. Never had a bad dish all night.

Really cool place to have dinner, the service was good and a detailed explanation of how the service works in the restaurant. Everything is ordered on an iPad which is fine - make sure not to order what someone else on your table is ordering as it’s more ideal to share. It’s kind of like tapas but the food is great.

Had a semi-buffet style brunch where you can order 10 pieces every 15 minutes. Unfortunately, it was very easy to spot their effort to cut cost from the dishes. Service and the place itself were great.

Chicken Katsu was cold, we had a range of things and left 80% of the food… Following really bad diarrhoea like through a eye of a needle

My personal opinion, that our experience would be better if they have a better booking system or manual arrangement. The system was not helpful if you are visiting in group and from far.

Good food at a fair price. Plenty of non fish choices which can be a issue with some Japanese restaurants.

Absolutely fantastic food. We had the bottomless brunch. Unlimited food. We ate around £250 worth of food for £58 . It's so so worth it. The sushi is amazing. Staff are fantastic and well trained. The restaurant is lovely too. Highly recommended

Lunchtime all you can eat. Food was fantastic quality, was at one point served by a robot with a cat face. Pretty much the only place locally I'll eat sushi.

Great service, lovely freshly cooked food. We ordered too much on the brunch as you could order every 15minutes. Would have preferred more drinks and less food. Giid deal though. Shame lots of items were not available for example no Bao buns at all on the menu.

I ordered a takeaway from here tonight. Got the ramen and was very disappointed. The veg in the ramen consisted of a ew floaty bits of tinned sweetcorn, a single brocoli and some slimy green, not even sure what it is! The beef in it was revolting, I couldn't eat it, more fat than actual meat. It was overcooked and tasted sickening. The soup tasted very fishy and didn't go with the beef at all. I'm very disappointed with my order sadly and won't be ordering again.

I have visited Tsuki many times and often recommend it to my friends and family. We decided to book this for my birthday yesterday and it was disappointing to say the least. We had several dishes missed which we ordered (2 hour food menu.) Our tablet only gave us an hour and half to order food despite it being a two hour course. The service was very slow. The redeeming factor was that of the food that came which we ordered was very high quality again. The dishes that we had to reorder continuously for them to eventually turn up was not as good and seemed rushed. This is twice in a row I've been now and multiple dishes have been forgotten. Safe to say it was a disappointment for my birthday and it has got 3 stars due to the fact it was evident there were new starters working who require more experience. I'm sure it will return to form eventually but in the meantime it needs to improve especially at the price point set for drinks and food.

Wow wow wow. I'm totally new to Japanese food and was attracted by the all you can eat aspect. Me and my partner were blown away by the quality, variety and value for money. We had 3 rounds of 10 items. These included 4 drinks total (loved the whisky and the lychee), and tipped, £100 total. Really impressed. I'll be back to try the A5 wagyu steak!

Sushi is ok but not authentic, the ramen was straight up terrible, and the rest was nice but not proper Japanese, I wouldn't say this is a place to go if you want a real experience. Staff was nice, and we did fill up and overall enjoy the food. I'm just very particular when it comes to this kind of thing and I was expecting a higher standard for this price and also in general.

I have been Tsuki so many times and I love it every time! I’ve always got the all you can eat service and it is so worth the price!! I prefer doing at lunch because it’s a bit cheaper. The quality is so good and the food is so fresh! Everything is made to order and the staff are excellent!! Love that you can order 10 dishes every 15 minutes at lunch time. The menu has such a good variety of japanese tapas and I love coming here for special occasions !! I wouldn’t recommend the bao buns, they were a little dry and not much filling. I would recommend the hand rolls, sashimi, wasabi prawns, mandu buns, salmon teriyaki, pork belly, fried rice and skewers! So many good items on the menu!

Lovely staff, good food (we got bentos), and kaleidoscopic ambience. I had the Tsuki bento which came with pumpkin korokke and unagi, which was tasty! I liked that it came with both pickles and salad. Wish they used Japanese rice for the bentos (ours had basmati or another long grain) but altogether would come again!

Classy place. I did the unlimited menu. Order from a table tablet they have on your table, up to 5 dishes per person in every 15 min period of time. Food was quite good. If you actually had to ask a question though, it took them a while to arrive.

A fantastic place to eat if you love japanese food! Their all-you-can-eat menu is stunning, and their drinks are delicious too. The service is very polite and adds to the japanese atmosphere of the place. Fully recommend!

BEYOND FANTASTIC!!!!! Even from the booking experience, it was straightforward and professional, even sending a confirmation text the day before. We arrived and were seated immediately! The restaurant itself was warm, immaculate cleanliness, comfortable seats and the interior design was eye catching. We opted for the all you can eat option, stuffed my belly to the brim and all for less than £65!!!!! See You Guys Again VERY SOON!!!! 👏🏾

I have dined at better Japanese restaurants around the world than this one. Mediocre food taste and quality and not so good service.

Weird menu setup, with just one tablet to read the menu on it slowed the deciding & ordering time. Weirdly the waitress kept asking if we've decided yet when it's self-ordering on the tablet. Nice food and a decent value lunch time offer.

Bottomless brunch was absolutely incredible. Not the cheapest at £40 per head but well worth the money. Four dishes each and a good choice of drinks every 15 minutes for two hours. The food is stunning and the drinks (especially the sangria) are wonderful. Can't wait to do it again.

Acceptable sushi for an all you can eat price, but the same money would buy you more than enough good sushi to have a fab meal. Most of the food appeared to have been prepackaged frozen food.

I've been here twice now and can't fault a thing. The staff are SO lovely and helpful, really sweet people. The food is frankly perfection with a big menu, tons of sushi varieties as well as a wide variety of hot and cold dishes, all of which are 10/10 delicious. They have a great choice of classic cocktails and also creative Japanese-style cocktails. And the restaurant itself is beautiful. Just a really fantastic restaurant with something for everyone. If you get a chance please try the scallops in their signature sauce - the sauce is unlike anything I've tasted before. I also really like the tablet-based ordering system - very convenient! Pictured: yasai bento box, unagi rolls, tuna & avocado hand roll, chicken gyoza, takoyaki, fried tofu, and pickled cucumber.

Second time visiting amazing food we opted for the all you can eat which I love as it's made to order unlike most all you can eats. Constantly clearing empty plates too so the table is never over crowded

Fabulous food, just delicious and so much fun ordering from the digital menu. It's expensive but the quality of the food more than justified the price. Make sure all your party are seated before they log you into your order tablet as that's when the 2hr limit starts.

Amazing all you can eat Japanese food. You will not be hungry when you leave here. Bear in mind it is quiet expensive though.

We only had bentos. Food quality is average and some contents are not like authentic Japanese food, e.g. spring roll, sweet potato cake, and no sauce for katsu. Service, seating, and environment is good. Front desk need improvement.

Couple people recommended me this place so I had big expectations, but the food was just ok... Some dishes lacked seasoning and some like octopus were very hard to chew and gewy :( for this price I would rather eat at a different place, won't be going back

Lovely experience each time I've been there. The brunch is an extra £10 from the unlimited menu and you get some good drink options.

Fast service, lovely customer service, the food was not to my liking unfortunately. It was definitely not worth £45 . It was not to a standard I thought it would be for the price- the sushi is great but in terms of the other dishes - it tasted bland, or it was a little over cooked and tasted chewy and the seasoning was off. However very good portion size but I recommend you visit to give it a try . Just needs improvement in my opinion :) Thankyou anyway

The various sushi, hot dishes and sashimi there are all amazing and fresh, especially for buffet. I live 2hours away from Sheffield, but came here 4-5 times just for Tsuki🥹🥹

Overall this is a superb restaurant and experience. The all inclusive menu is good value as is the a la carte one. Taking the kids for the first time, having told them all about the robot waiters, we were a little disappointed to find that they'd been retired. I had the impression that management were prioritising the bottom line over the customer experience this year. How much the robots saved I don't know but things like the soap dispensers hanging off their mounts or already fallen off and just sitting on the side which would've taken little more than 5 to 10 minutes and a Philips screwdriver smacks at low quality management more than cost savings. Food and service good, management skills in need of a tune up.

My wife and I lived in Japan for two years, so have a pretty good idea of what Japanese food should be. Tsuki is more a case of form over function. Passable Japanese but a long way from being genuinely authentic, good Japanese. The soy sauce was insipid. Takoyaki should be a feast for the senses but it was also a bit of nothing. I make it better at home. Tsuki isn’t bad but there are better places in Sheffield.

Food was nice but service was all via tablet. Plates not cleared between main and dessert, nor fresh cutlery. Very expensive given do most of the work yourself for ordering, service, and cleaning up afterwards. A lot of options out of stock.

Great selection of Japanese food. Fast service. It's a little cumbersome sharing one electronic menu to order between 4 but overall. We ordered al la carte as the buffet the bento box is super tasty. Overall for 4 people with 2 bottles of wine it came to around £160 and we were all stuffed.

We had the lunch menu, so I can’t comment on the quality of the sushi, but the food we had was not a real representation of Japanese food. The Takoyakis were nothing like a Takoyaki should be. The Donburi bowls were made with long grain rice, instead of short grain rice. The bao buns were pressed on a griller instead of steamed. The red sofas where we sat were extremely sticky and covered in glitter and therefore makes you wonder about the cleaning standards. The staff were very nice, being the only reason for the 2 stars.

Visited last summer, toddlers under 4 is free! Very fresh sashimi(but there is a quota even the all-you-can-eat price), it is so hard to find an authentic Japanese restaurants in UK but here Tsuki is!! With very 'instagramable' atmosphere!
