So, we had our first visit to a sushi bar! We decided to go when it was quiet as we really hadnt a clue what we were doing!! We had sushi from the converyer belt and also ordered from the menu. The staff were friendly but spoke very quickly and was quite hard to hear what they were saying at times. Ordered food arrived in good time, but it was very quiet, so not busy. plenty of choice on the conveyer belt but some were quite hard to work out from the very small photos on the menu. All our food was very nice and we really enjoyed our visit. However ..... there is a clear policy of card only and no cash. I have a problem with this as it is clearly following an agenda which I do not agree with. So, sadly, I will not be visiting again until Yo Sushi change their policy.

Since the move yo meadowhall seems go have gone down hill which is so disappointing!!! Service is so slow, can never catch anyone's attention, staff are rude and clearly don't want to be there! Some of our food took nearly 40 minutes to arrive, there was 2 vegetarian options going round on the belt. Honestly so disappointed

Some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had! So different to the heavy old school British curry houses (which I still love…) - super fresh, bursting with flavour, loads of options for veggies & vegans and things on the menu you don’t often see in your average Indian restaurant. Softest, creamiest paneer I’ve ever had (must be homemade?!), so different to the rubbery stuff you sometimes get & highly recommend the momos. And really friendly staff! Been to lots of Indian restaurants over the years, especially living in East London for many years and this was one of the best.

I was torn between leaving 3 or 4 stars for this. For some context: we had not booked, it was pretty busy, and there was only one person serving (on their third shift at the restaurant). Pros: - Food was excellent and pretty unique. I've lived in big cities for 15 years and eaten at many Indians and not had these dishes before. Plenty of your typical Indian and South Indian places about but never come across these Punjabi dishes before. Almost fine-dining levels of detail and lovely mixes of spices, chickpeas, pomegranate, etc. The crispy fried wrap was exceptional. - Primarily vegetarian-focussed dishes, so great if you're not a meat-eater. Cons: - Service wasn't great. I don't particularly like being bothered a lot but normally I would expect to be seated, have our drinks order taken, drinks brought and food order taken, food delivered, quick check that everything's alright, maybe a drinks check, dishes cleared when we're done and ask if we want anything else, then bill. We were sat, had our order for everything together, food delivered and then didn't see anyone again until they arrived with the card machine. We were actually missing 2 mains which never arrived but didn't get a chance to bring this up until we were well finished with the other dishes. After checking our order and confirming, we were told it would be 10/15 minutes but we just cancelled them at that point. - Chai was (as someone else mentioned) very small. Would prefer paying a bit more for a proper glass. Perhaps this is a traditional amount to be served but we are talking ~150ml. - The only food item which I wouldn't recommend was the noodle dish. It was a small portion of spicy Supernoodles fried with veg. It was tasty (as Supernoodles are...) but not for £6/£7 (forget) and not at all comparable with how good the rest of the food was. - Price. It is pretty expensive. We were told 4-5 dishes would fill you up. We were actually pretty happy with 3 (having ordered 4) but this still came to £50 for 2 of us (for our 3 dishes and thimble of chai each). At a typical Indian, you'd be taking leftovers home and would have drank a skin-full for those prices. As I said above, the food was next-level so I wouldn't begrudge them too much for the prices but you really need everything to be perfect at those costs.

Since the move to the new location in Meadowhall we have been so disappointed. Yo! was our go to for food, and we were there fairly regularly. It was one of a small number of places that all 4 of us ( my husband and I and our 2 children age 7 and 10 ) loved the food and the service was good . We were looking forward to the new restaurant however, we have been 4 times now over several weeks and have had the same poor experience each time, so won’t be returning. The service is poor, really slow and inattentive, on every visit we have had to search to try and get someone attention to ask to order, ask for chopsticks & napkins, chase food etc. Ordered food has been really slow. I think this is made far harder for the staff by the awful poorly thought through layout of the restaurant, which is also far less comfortable than the previous location. With the old layout the team making the food would often help with questions or checking on food for diners, you could see what was coming and the children really loved watching the sushi being prepped. Such a shame :(

Well we thought we’d give this place a second chance after the disastrous first visit in this new location…and this time the nail went in the coffin. We are not coming here again. Some food came promptly, but the ramen noodles took over 20 minutes, I then saw it waiting to be taken to our table for 10 minutes (timed this). When it arrived I complained that it had been sat there a long time and was given a brushed off response. I tried it, it was barely warm. I refused the dish, paid for what was consumed and then left after complaining. Apologies were given, but this is not good enough. This restaurant has been consigned to history now. Never again.

Where to start with this one. Great selection for vegans/vegetarians which was most of the menu. However I think, if you are wanting to order food AND eat it on the same night, it’s probably best to avoid. I can understand they’d just opened the shalesmoor/Kelham island location (having moved from their Duke St location) and may have experienced some teething problems but regardless, it doesn’t go far enough to excuse the length of time to actually get our food. We arrived at 7, many of us arriving before and ordered pretty much shortly after. Our starters (saving grace of the night imo) took a whole 1.15hrs to arrive. Our mains then didn’t arrive until 9.35pm a whopping 2.35hrs after ordering. I didn’t fail to notice that there were a couple of other tables that not only arrived way after we did, but also were served their food way before us, not to mention the constant stream of delivery drivers collecting takeout through the night. So, there was definitely “some” cooking going on, just not our food unfortunately. On to the food. If you’re hungry, another reason to avoid. Portion sizes were minuscule (particularly some of the starters) eg basmati rice served in little more than a ramekin. Chai tea at £3 came in a shot glass. Cans of soft drink £3..and the pratha resembled a crunchy taco in size and consistency than it did a flaky buttery multilayered flatbread. I’ve never had a pratha like it. On to the spice level. I ordered a dish that had two chillies indicating the level of heat. It should have been three. I have a high tolerance for spicy food but this was on another level. All one chilli dishes should also be relabelled two. The chicken itself was barely present in the dish, so for me I had a bowl of hot chilli curry sauce bereft of any real chunks of chicken. The restaurant itself is tiny, not really geared up for large parties. Maybe that’s why they crammed 15 of us on to an 8 seater table. One song was on repeat most of the night so you’d probably not come here for the ambience either. Thankfully there was no service charge.

Insanely delicious. I had the burrito as a starter (amongst many other dishes) and it was all really tasty, really spicy. The downside is the restaurant is too small for it's ever increasing popularity. However, that's a minor criticism for probably Sheffields premiere restaurant of the moment.

We rang on the off chance of a table for early on a Saturday night. Sadly they said they were fully booked. They rang back at short time later and said that they did have a table but it would be for only an hour or so. We accepted and arrived promptly. Absolutely wonderful food and brilliant service. A little food heaven at the side of the Parkhill flats. We will be back again. Thank you for calling us back - restaurants don’t do that very often.

Really bad experience. Ordered food and one dish came without the sauce - this was not mentioned to us as we ordered from the waiter. We asked a waitress to go get the sauce for us and she basically ignored us and clearly did not deal with the request as the sauce did not arrive. Asked again after 10 minutes and finally we were told they were out?! Annoying as probably would not have ordered that dish if that was the case. No discount was offered for the inconvenience. Staff were rude and it was clear they just wanted to go home. No physical copy of bill was presented but rather just a card reader with the total on. There was an added service charge which we did not know about and would have asked to have been removed. Avoid.

Restaurant was cold, I was shivering at the end. I don’t appreciate sitting on pallet seating that seems designed for kids, small low tables and no space to move to find a relaxed dining experience. Food took ages, errors in order, asked twice if we still wanted food! Complained to staff who walked away whilst in mid conversation. At least the manager tried to apologise and offered a discount. We had gone for dinner with family and had a horrible experience. To start with we were seated very uncomfortably 7 people squashed on a table . Since it was our first experience we didn’t know how the ordering worked but the staff helped us with that. We started with few sushi’s but did t get to order mains as our experience with sushi itself was horrible. Staff had to be reminded multiple times about our ordered food and water to be served on table as the kids were extremely thirsty . Finally when sushi arrived it was dry and unpalatable. Staff was inhospitable and not responsive . It seemed they were doing a favour by serving food . Think twice before going to this place

We arrived an hour or so before it closed during the Christmas period, so we were prepared for there not to be much on the belt and needing to order. We were seated by a young guy at first who was great but then we were told to place our last order, as we were quickly looking through the app a woman came over and rushed us to stop looking and place our order before we’d really had a second to scroll through, but there was no telling her no so we quickly ordered a couple of bits but probably would’ve ordered more. The food was good but very small for the prices you pay. She then rushed us to pay and seemed almost annoyed we were there, which is fine it was nearing their close time I understand people want to go home. I paid but then when I asked for a receipt she got her back up and asked why, I explained that the bill didn’t add up to what we’d had and she informed me quite abruptly that she had added a £7 tip (the only table service that we received was our food silently being handed to us over the counter and her rushing us to leave). At no point were we told about this apparently mandatory tip and when I mentioned it she snapped back that it was written on the menu (the same menu we had been rushed to order from). I’m all for tipping when you’ve had a good experience or are a large party, but honestly for her very limited and cold service I wouldn’t have given one in this circumstance. I also think that customers shouldn’t be forced to pay a bill that they haven’t been shown, nor should servers hide tips and take money for them without first mentioning it.

Feeling really disappointed. We ordered 5 dishes for 2 people because it was recommended to buy 2 dishes per person but the portions were honestly stingy for the price. They were also very bland. So just a couple of pieces of meat or paneer in a very thin watery sauce. We travelled 19 miles there and back based on the reviews and so really disappointed.

After a long wait, this might finally be a regular go to for decent Indian food in Sheffield. Finally. Tasty street food style offerings as starters - punchy, well executed Indian flavours and textures giving you what you want when you read the menu and thankfully didn't disappoint you. The dhabba style mains included the infamous daal makhani which was true to its traditional style, richness and flavour as well as the Punjabi cholay and spicy chicken and paneers- each dish offering a different taste sensation to the next. The paratha was to die for- crispy and light. A far cry from literally everywhere that's cooking so called Indian food for the masses in Sheffield. A real delight, served in a homely setting by a hardworking couple bringing a true taste of India to south Yorkshire. Will definitely be back!

Drinks took 20 mins to arrive. If you don’t want to order on the app then you have to go searching for a server to place an order because they just assume that everyone is using the app. We ordered a dish without sauce for my son and it arrived with sauce on then it took another 20 mins to arrive. We asked if we could have plain cucumber and they said that they were unable to do that even though the dishes are prepared fresh so they would have had cucumber. Food kept arriving to our table that had been ordered to the table behind us. There was no offer of forks or spoons for the children, these used to be on the tables. We were still waiting for some of the dishes 45 mins after ordering them so we ended up cancelling them. Then they had the cheek to add a 10% service charge to the bill without asking us, I don’t mind paying for it when we have had good service but they should still ask first.

Wow, amazing little place. We've been looking for good Indian food since the Cutlers spice closed. Lets just say we will be going back again, and again. Fantastic food, service and vibe. Love the authentic menu. The owners are so nice, and I bought a bag. What's not to like 👍

Wow! 5Tara is excellent. A great selection of streetfood style snacks, more traditional meals, and some interesting sounding burgers! We had a few snacks to stay, followed by a thali. Everything was delicious, so beautifully spiced. I had an amazing cardamom milkshake to accompany my meal. And there is, apparently, an even more amazing one to try next time. And there will be a next time.

Ordered a lamb balti with a nann bread, asked my mum if she fancied anything and she said no (she doesn't like curries or anything) so I got her a portion of chips but she couldn't eat them as they put seasoning on. Just wanted some chips. You get free rice when you order a curry from here but I wished they told me on the phone. So I had a curry, chips, nann bread and rice to myself lol. £15.95 total. The guy on the phone was very polite and friendly and was when I went in to collect, the place (small restaurant) really had a good authentic Indian feel to it, looked really nice. My balti, on first look of it I've got to admit I wasn't too keen on the looks of it, looked like a soup. Lot's of small bits of lamb in which was cooked perfect, the lamb was lovely and soft, a different balti compared to other places, quite spicy probably hotter than an average balti, it was actually rather nice to be honest. The nann bread was delicious, nice and soft and thin, had a bit of rice and it was nice, chips were actually very good but like I said would have preferred with no seasoning on. I think it may have been paprika and small chopped up onions and herbs on the chips, could have been chilli powder on the chips as well as they did seem a bit spicy. May go again actually, but as the balti goes for what it actually was I've had a more filling balti from other places, I find it very strange on how places do balti dishes totally different. I have had one like this before actually, but like I said the taste was very good, I may come again and pick something else.

5Tara was a nice enough and cozy little Indian restaurant. The food was well presented and the owner was very friendly. I'm from India so I can say that the food wasn't very authentic as such but it's what you might expect for an average indian restaurant in Sheffield. There are other better options. We waited an hour and 10 mins for the starters. Unfortunately one was missed off but we didn't say anything because we didn't want to wait anymore. We did not particularly enjoy the food on this visit with a selection of 3 starters, butter chicken, soya chaap as mini-thalis and no alcohol, for which we paid £65. Probably wouldn't visit again but good to go for a try. I would definitely recommend their masala chaas💯

We have visited several times now (both in the evening and for Sunday brunch) and can confidently say this is the tastiest, most authentic Indian food in Sheffield. The owners are very friendly and attentive too, making for a great all-round experience not to be missed.

Fantastic food and many options not found that easily at other Indian restaurants. Rightly passionate ate of its roots. Great customer service. Big range of freshly made lassi to wash it down with and no corkage for BYO drinks. Mysteriously this place is never busy any time I’ve been, but as the word spreads I’m sure that will change. Only downside is the seating can be uncomfortable, but not enough to deduct a star.

Been twice now. Food incredible both times. The Dasi Pura are a must have as a starter. Have had the dhal and the lamb curry as mains, both were brilliant. Definitely worth upgrading the meals to a Thali if you do visit

Cosy café-style place with a relaxing atmosphere, that is also dog friendly. A very warm welcome and an owner who is obviously passionate about his business, and rightly so! The food is fantastic, we had a lovely meal out and will be returning.

Two young people who love what they do and it shows in the quality of the food. I very much enjoyed chatting with the owners and learning about the cuisine. It's all gluten free and the vegetarian options were amazing. My favourite was the homemade gulab jamun and chai. You can also take your pooch along too if you have one. What more do you need?

A very nice clean place with great service. The food was sugary, potions were very small and we opted for buffet and we were told we order every 15 minutes for two hours which was new to us.
