Beju in Sheffield

First time me and my husband have been to Beju tonight , what can I say .. the place is absolutely beautiful , the decor is unbelievable and the staff can’t do enough for you , I was cold when we got inside because the weather outside was cold and Nico fetched me a heater , above and beyond the service , the food was amazing , if you’ve not been then put it on your list , first time we’ve been and it won’t be the last

Had heard a lot about this place and received a voucher from a friend for a meal here. The ambience is lovely and staff were lovely and welcoming. The starters were okay. My husband ordered mains as Singapore noodles which was okay. I had ordered pasta which was completely cold, dry and bland. I couldn't finish it. Will not recommend this place. It's been the worst food I have had in Sheffield. Spoilt my evening.

Yesterday, my partner and I had the pleasure of dining at BEJU SHEFFIELD for the second time, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, Eli greeted us with such warmth and hospitality that it made us feel instantly at ease. She took it upon herself to escort us to our table and made sure we were comfortable throughout our meal. Her attentiveness, kindness, and impeccable service truly stood out, and I believe she deserves a medal and a promotion for going above and beyond. The rest of the staff at BEJU SHEFFIELD were also fantastic, always attentive and professional. The atmosphere was inviting, and the food, as always, was incredible. It's clear that this restaurant is committed to providing an exceptional dining experience. We're already looking forward to our next visit and will be recommending this place to all our friends! Thank you, Eli, and the entire team for such a memorable evening.

Not one to usually write a review but the service was exceptional! Eli was incredibly sweet and helpful and very knowledgeable about our religious requirements. I’d definitely recommend the prawn dynamite and sushi. 10/10

£80 for two people for a bottomless brunch. Had a great time. Drinks are great, food is great, service is great. Plenty of cocktails and they’re not scared to send them around. Nothing bad to say!

We came to beju on Valentine’s Day and had a great night. The room was decorated for the occasion and the staff were so friendly and made the night even better because of the great service. The food was to die for, however they had no vegan desserts which meant I couldn’t have a dessert as I am dairy intolerant. It also wasn’t stated before booking the table that it was a set menu, it was a lovely set menu but was a bit of a surprise when we sat down. The cocktails are really cool and delicious. It’s fairly expensive but well worth the price. Would really recommend eating here!

So, myself and partner went on Valentine’s Day and I would say there definitely was some sort of racism. Food was perfect, atmosphere was nice, great background music. The workers though, look down on you if you’re a person of colour or don’t look “flashy/ rich”. I doubt I’ll be going there again.

It wasn't clear beforehand it was a set menu for valentines Food wasn’t as advertised on the menu- items were on there that the restaurant doesn’t even serve. Chunky chips were oven fries, there were no extras on the burger. They said it was an error from the printers. It was all quite average definitely not worth the price. Forgot our drinks Had water glasses on the table but no water Seems there is a lot done for instagram rather than giving good service to people who are there.

My experience at beju was awesome, the atmosphere was cool and the aesthetic was nice , a staff called ELI recommended a meal for me and i loved it , my overall experience is 10/10

Me and my partner came here for Valentines and had the set menu. First off the venue is beautiful very nice decor it’s very nicely appointed it has to be said. The set menu was 3 courses for £44.50 For my starter I had the chicken karaage I found it to be a nice portion for a starter it has to be said the sauce was quite sweet for my liking but that’s personal preference. 3.8/5 Main : wagyu burger The burger was very nice the quality was outstanding bun nice and soft it was lovely The chips were nice albeit a little overdone but I am really nit picking here it was nice. 4.3/5 Dessert : a let down in honesty the options for dessert were limited a brownie ice cream or a cheese cake which isn’t good enough imo. It was still majority frozen. The waiter I didn’t catch his name but was a diamond and knocked money off the bill for us. At this price point you can source a cheesecake that will be fresh. Cutting corners isn’t necessary but it has to be said I felt corners have been cut it’s a shame. 1/5 Cocktails : Outstanding! Nothing else to be said 5/5 For the 2 of us having the set menu 1 soft drink 1 large water 2 cocktails The bill was £131 £119 after adjustments were made At this price point the dessert bloody angers me but the rest of the food was good.

The one star I have given was for the amazing singer, booked for Valentine’s Day arrived bang on time as received a message 2 days before saying “please arrived on time” to be sat at the bar for 15 mins 🤣 actually laughable anyway set meal starter was lovely no issues there the main again no issues until our food arrived and they forgot our chips then desserts we had brownie , the brownie tasted like pure burnt no taste , wasn’t just us who didn’t have a great night as the table next to us had a few issues too but hay ho a nice £100 meal you’d expect a lot better next time I’ll stay home and order a takeaway :)

In a quite empty restaurant, it took 50 minutes before our order was taken (after it taking 30 minutes to even be given a menu). The food itself was abnoxiously mediocre and bland with mayonnaise being the only flavour on the plate.

Service brilliant and atmosphere great, food cost a lot for the small amount received and a £10 service charge was an awful lot and it was compulsory

Very pleasant experience. Chose to go outside of peak hours (5:30 ish pm on a Wednesday) and benefited greatly as a result. The service recieved was friendly and high quality, which makes me believe all the negative reviews about the service is drawn from when the restaurant is at it's busiest (something I obviously cannot attest to). Massive shoutout to our waitress Maria who was exceptional. Attentive when needed, open to conversation. Completed the experience. On her own, enough to make we want to return. Good food, although very limited dessert options which is a shame however. A 60 minute drive for me, and yet I shall definitey return regardless.

I had to rearrange my booking a couple of times and Nico was lovely whenever I called. The food is halal and always tastes amazing whenever I go. I went yesterday and had some personal issues but the staff were really lovely and supportive. The service is always amazing. The only downside was it was quite cold inside but I’m sure they would’ve turned the heating up if we’d asked.

Dead. Seems like all people rating this highly were the ones drinking. Try it sober and you’ll see the delayed & poor service where you get your starters after your mains and food takes forever to be served.

Staff friendly but unprofessional and we weren’t given knives and forks. Sharers for the table tasted microwaved and some were cold. Bao buns tasted like frozen chicken and Tesco coleslaw which was strange. Their ‘best dish’ beef Mongolian was the worst dish we ordered. Tasted like it was farmed from Area 51. Maybe the mains are nice but the small plates we got were unsatisfactory. Added to booking that we had a birthday and even though we were the only ones in the restaurant I had to go up and tell them we had a birthday. Overpriced and not to mention lack of choice as they didn’t have much in stock. :(

We had a great time at a bottomless brunch in beju. Service was perfect. Nico was perfect, so kind and helpful. The food menu was limited which I understand as we were having a bottomless brunch, but as a vegetarian there wasn’t much. I had 2 veg gyozas and they were delicious, so no criticism there. This was the best bottomless brunch I have been on so would recommend for sure. Thank you Nico, you made our night! :)

Extremely disappointed with our experience of attending this restaurant last night. Severe sickness following the katsu curry which may I add could have been bough at the Wetherspoons nothing special. My friend had the same dish and also suffered sickness. I was the designated driver for the night so know categorically it was the food causing my vomiting. It has ruined the day I was supposed to spent with my kids as I’ve been unable to get out of bed all day! Our second issue which I can’t believe I’m writing this … my friends Wagyu burger was advertised as caramelised onions on top… it came with cheese and onion crisps on!!!! She didn’t eat the meal as she found this very off putting which the staff noticed as it was left untouched. Thirdly 3 of the men ordered the Wagyu steak which came out cold and the chips followed a long time after. For £60 for the steak plus additional for the chips you’d expect better. £470 our bill came to which is shocking for a dish I could by for a supermarket, a cold steak and a crisp sandwich. I would absolutely not recommend this place!!!!

Best lamb chops I’ve ever had. A bit of spice and cooked to perfection, as was the garlic broccoli with crispy onions, my compliments to the chef. Service by Nico was awesome who was always attentive to our needs. Will definitely book again

Desafortunadamente mi visita no estuvo a la altura de mis expectativas que tenía después de leer las excelentes críticas que otros han dejado para usted. Habíamos reservado con antelación para un grupo de 6 , y nos sentamos en una mesa para 4 personas. Esto significaba que tres de nosotros estábamos en los asientos de la cabina, dos en las sillas de enfrente, y me dieron una silla al final de la mesa, que no cabía y significaba que no había espacio para la mesa. Inicialmente esto no era un problema, pero la mesa detrás de nosotros se estaba instalando y me pidieron que me moviera para que pudieran encajar otra mesa. Los asientos de la cabina también eran muy planos e incómodos, como si no tuvieran suficiente amortiguación. También estaba de espaldas a otro cliente y nuestras sillas estaban muy cerca y lo hizo ligeramente incómodo al ir al baño, etc. Después de unos 20 minutos todavía no nos habían preguntado si queríamos bebidas, así que tuvimos que preguntar al camarero. También pedimos comida al mismo tiempo, ya que no queríamos tener que pedir 20 minutos después para hacerlo. Uno de mis amigos y yo pedimos desde los entrantes / para la sección de mesa del menú, y cortésmente pedimos que esto se sacara con las comidas principales que nuestros otros amigos habían pedido, sin embargo, nos dijeron que esto no era posible ya que la “cocina estaba demasiado ocupada”, lo que simplemente no tiene sentido. Finalmente, nos trasladaron a los asientos del stand, que era mejor que nuestra mesa original, pero todavía demasiado pequeño para una fiesta de 6. La comida era buena, pero habría sido mejor si el ambiente hubiera sido mejor. Nuestro servidor Nico era brillante una vez que nos habían movido - muy atento y en la pelota, pero todavía había momentos en los que teníamos que esperar un rato después de solicitar algo, a pesar de que el restaurante no estaba demasiado ocupado. Unfortunately my visit didn’t live up to my expectations I had after reading the great reviews others have left for you. We had booked in advance for a group of 6, and were sat on a table for 4 people. This meant three of us were in the booth seats, two on the chairs opposite, and I was given a chair at the end of the table, which did not fit and meant there was no table space. Initially this wasn’t an issue, but the table behind us was being set up and I was asked to move so they could fit another table in. The booth seats were also very flat and uncomfortable, as though they haven’t got sufficient cushioning. I also had my back to another customer and our chairs were very close and made it slightly awkward when going to the toilet etc. After around 20 minutes we still hadn’t been asked if we’d like any drinks so we had to ask the waiter. We also ordered food at the same time as we didn’t want to have to ask 20 minutes later to do that. One of my friends and I ordered from the starters/for the table section of the menu, and politely requested this to be brought out with the main meals our other friends had ordered, however we were told this wasn’t possible as the “kitchen was too busy”, which just doesn’t make sense. Eventually, we were moved to the booth seats, which was better than our original table, but still too small for a party of 6. The food was good, but would’ve been better had the atmosphere been better. Our server Nico was brilliant once we had been moved- very attentive and on the ball, but there were still moments where we had to wait a while after requesting something, despite the restaurant not being overly busy. It’s unfortunate as like I previously mentioned, we had pre-booked the table, and ended up feeling like a bit of a nuisance.

Ebi was absolutely fantastic, really looked after us . Nothing was any trouble for him. 😘

Saggy booth chairs, got sat on a tiny table even though we booked 2 months in advance and had 2 birthdays, our server Niko was amazing though, made our night great, he made sure we always had enough drinks and got us reseated somewhere more suitable

Can't fault the staff... they were nice especially the lady server didn't get her name she was lovely....some one mixed up our order the mains came out before the starter not a big deal but not great ...anyway the manager gave us the starter for free which was nice... It's a nice space, aesthetically pleasing however the guy on the drums no offence to him wasn't for me ...really not needed in a restaurant. I'm really not into this saxophone/drums/percussion stuff it's a bit cringe..also the girl in a showgirl outfit dancing around was an absolute NO for us ...I didn't know where to look ... its again CRINGE!!! She had a thong on it was really horrendous... the lady sat next to us actually said to her partner "look away"... what woman would ever be comfortable with this ? If a guy wants to see a showgirl they'd go to a strip joint or a showgirl place .... couples are dining there why would anyone want to see this ??? loose the drums and the showgirl... its a poor idea ... Anyway food was nice but I won't be coming back .

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH PRIVATE HIRE! Cannot comment on the food or atmosphere but the customer service is shocking. I called into this venue whilst in town on the 12th of October and one of the staff members showed me the upstairs room which looked perfect for my event. I was told my contact details had been passed on to the owner for him to contact me with a price for hire, food and drinks packages. Two weeks passed and I hadn’t heard anything so I rang Beju and spoke to Dav who told me he would send over some prices. I contacted again a week later to say I still hadn’t heard anything and was told they would be sent over. It was now the 20th of November and I still hadn’t heard back so I rang again and spoke to a different member of staff who took my details and said he would email over some menus and prices. It’s been over a week since that last phone call and I still haven’t heard anything. It is a shame as the upstairs room looked perfect for the event I had planned and I know many private events have happened here but I don’t know why nobody is getting back to me so it can be booked. Even if they did come back to me now, nearly two months later, I can’t imagine it would be a stress free process trying to plan an event in the run up with them. I will not be enquiring again or even trying here in the future for food and drinks, the customer service is clearly not up to scratch.

The WORST dining experience my friends and I have had. We went to celebrate a graduation. We were sat in a cold corner & rushed to order drinks after asking for a few more minutes to decide. We all ordered the same sushi roll and on arrival the sushi was rock hard and clearly undercooked. We raised this to two servers and the best reply we got was a condescending description of how sushi is made and rolled. Which ultimately had nothing to do with the rock hard rice. Instead of acknowledging our feedback they consistently asked if we wanted to buy more and more drinks. The servers were constantly hovering around our table and we felt extremely rushed in finishing our meal. At the end of the meal the restaurant couldn’t even get the correct amounts in what we each had to pay individually even though we recited this. Just a very bad experience and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. 0/10

The food was nice but very expensive for what we got. Our issue was the service and the temperature of the restaurant. There was no heating on and it was freezing, so much so we sat with our coats on. We asked if the heating could be turned on but was there was only 1 heater and the couple sat underneath that were ok. The guy had his coat on so that looked unlikely. When the food came it went cold very quickly. The food we had was ok but you have to order sides with everything which makes expensive main dishes seem like poor value for money. We had to repeatedly ask for water and when the sharing starters came we had to ask for side plates - the staff just didn’t seem with it at all. This meal out was to celebrate our daughter’s graduation and it really disappointed after such a lovely day. At the end when we complained again about the fact we had all had our coats on all night we were told there was nothing that could be done as the management could not be reached so could not authorise any discount. Although the staff apologised about the temperature, even our waitress said she was cold the only thing they could do was remove the service charge. If there are problems with the heating you should tell your diners beforehand as we would definitely have chosen to eat elsewhere. Would not recommend as they don’t seem to care about their customers.

I am so not happy with my service. I came here for my friend’s birthday and they did not even have my reservation booked, although I had booked through the website and called them before hand. They also were not fast with the service and got our order confused and told us the tacos were out of stock when we finished eating the food. Furthermore, in the notes I said I was celebrating my friend’s birthday but they did not do any surprise or celebration, although I had ordered dessert before hand and put it in the notes section.

We had the server Nico, he was lovely with us, kept checking back in with us throughout our brunch, and made sure we always had a drink in our hands!!

A lovely place with mysic, live events and performance. Beautiful design but menu for me was like there was nothing to choose. One more upsetting thing is that they do not serve hot drinks. Though you will be surprised with signature coctails.

Pedí medio raro muy sabroso también. Nuestro servicio era muy bueno agradable y educado y no se apresuró. El entorno es de muy buena calidad y hace una experiencia muy especial. Realmente disfrutamos de nuestra noche y sin duda volveremos.

We booked a woucher bottoless brunch, however the woucher people got it wrong. It was for Saturday only. We turned up on a Friday as the wou her stated. Unfortunately beju was not open, so we went across the road. When Beju open we explained outlets situation and they were so helpful. Ebi was so accommodating. He was so kind he even gave us extra food for the inconvenience. I cannot recommend this place enough. So professional, kind, friendly and helpful. And the food was amazing and the dri ks just kept on coming. I highly recommend.ment this place xxxx

Vino con amigos después de querer visitar GN por un tiempo. Lamentablemente será la última visita. La comida estaba bien, nada que escribir en casa, pero perfectamente comestible. El servicio por otro lado era extremadamente lento hasta el punto en que solo quería ir a casa que había esperado tanto tiempo para la red. Para luego pegar un cargo discrecional de £ 20 en la factura fue un poco de una toma de mierda y no no lo pagamos. La decoración no era ni mucho menos tan elegante como esperaba, escuché que era similar a Tattu en Leeds, no es un parche. El personal es lo suficientemente amable pero tan lento. Ebi and literally all the staff I came in contact with have been very nice and graceful to me including taking lovely photos as it was my birthday. The food is superb as I barely could finish my plate due to the large size. I recommend BEJU💯💯💯💯
