New Takeaway, thought I would give it a try. Great selection of Pasta and Pizza. Ordered the Amatriciana Pasta, added mushrooms with a side of fries and a garlic bread. Friendly staff on the phone, order quickly taken and advised when it would be delivered. The food arrived early, was piping hot and was really fabulous. Excellent flavours, generous portions , to much for one person, was nibbling Garlic Bread all evening. Really good value for money. Worth giving a try, I will be ordering again soon.

We ate in the Pizzaioli Restaurant for the first time last night and will definitely be back. The food was delicious, very authentic Italian and good quality. The staff were very friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere was inviting with a relaxed vibe, lovely lighting, soft back ground music and comfortable. Would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant which is owned by a local Italian family. We’re also keen to try their Pizzaioli take away further down the Sandgate sometime.

The ice cream cart has to be one of the best things we booked for our wedding! We thought 9 flavours was loads and would be easy to pick but we really struggled to narrow it down, they all sounded so incredible. On the day we certainly weren’t disappointed; the ice cream cart was so pretty and the gelato and sorbet were unreal! It went down a storm with all our guests (especially the kids) and was the perfect addition to our sunny wedding day. A little added bonus that we weren’t expecting was that we got to take home all the leftover gelato. We had weeks of different ice cream every night after dinner, it was amazing! Thank you so much for being the perfect addition to our day! The McNish’s

Google doesn’t have enough stars to truly rate Ristorante La Vigna. My family popped in by chance after an autumn walk at New Lanark, expecting a standard pizza/ pasta Italian that you would find in most small towns, but were very pleasantly surprised. This charming restaurant is easily one of the best finds in Scotland. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by Aldo and the warm, welcoming staff - who are exceptionally gracious and attentive. The restaurant exudes sophistication with its elegant decor, soft lighting, and refined atmosphere of fine dining, but without losing its homey and relaxing feel. We loved how authentic it is, making for a truly special dining experience. The waiters are masters of their trade, attentive without being overly fussy, and magically appear just when you need a sprig of Parmesan - or another drink. And the food - wow! It’s fresh and absolutely delicious. While they don’t have a children’s menu, they were very accommodating and offered to make pasta pomodoro for our fussy kids. Both left with clean plates, which speaks for itself! Every dish is presented exquisitely, and bursts with flavour; whether you're indulging in their steak, enjoying super fresh fish and shellfish (my wife’s family hails from the Hebridean islands and set the gold standard for fish critiques), or savouring one of their delightful desserts, wheeled to your table on a cart for you to choose from. Ristorante La Vigna is a fantastic spot for anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience. We can’t recommend it enough! (I don’t normally photograph food, but did on this occasion)

First visit and it won’t be our last . Great service and great food on the 2 course set menu . We both had the soup which was red pepper and for mains I had the prawn risotto which was delicious and my husband the lasagne. Good sized portions and good atmosphere.

Loved it. It's just near Morrisons and the train station and serves exciting dishes and good Italian coffee. Others we spoke to have been coming here for years. It was a real find for us as we like going to Largs. Lovely decor. We shared a tray of meats and cheeses.
