Gondolina in South Lanarkshire

Booked a table for tonight through the website 24th Sept. Only turned up and the place was closed . Even got a confirmation email about my booking . 😬😬😬

Food delicious,prices good ,we were seated ABIT near kitchen door,so a lot of coming and going,was my only complaint

Quality of the food & prices are OK. Atmosphere and personnel OK. Never had a proper espresso so good for ages (not even in Italy)!

Lovely food and great service! Went for a family lunch today...have previously enjoyed home delivery from the restaurant but thought we would try visiting today. Good menu, reasonable prices and the portions are unreal!!! Couldnt finish it all. The service was lovely. Very personable and friendly. Made to feel very welcome. Food is delicious too. Go try it!!!

Visited on the spur of the moment. Wasn’t aware that it was bring your own bottle. Were seated in the room in the back which was a bit lacking in atmosphere. Service was friendly and attentive. Starters were huge and lovely. Spaghetti carbonara the best I’ve ever had. Standard of food would encourage us back but maybe for lunch rather than dinner.

Excellent 2 course pre-theatre for £14.95. Starters of Bruschetta and Caprese were nice and fresh. The market fish was a lovely piece of hake with crushed potatoes and veg. Also had the breaded chicken with tomato sauce spaghetti, which was decent. Coffee was so so. Service was attentative. Only downside was that it was very warm in the restaurant.

Best pizza (friarielli and italian sausage) from the best pizza chef.

Very good, authentic tasting Italian food at reasonable prices. Plus the service alone was worth more stars than what's available to give. 👍👍👍

A family night out to this new italian restaurant i most recommend had the chicken caeser salad 👍 and the pizza are just fantastic 👌

Highly recommend Gondolina for me deserves a 5*. The staff and the owner Fausto are very welcoming from the minute you enter la gondolina to the minute you leave, make you feel at ease, great atmosphere and amazing food .We just had a wonderfull Goats Cheese,caramelised onion,antichokes,rosemary & balsamic Pizza and a Friarielli Italian broccoli, Italian sausage, mozzarella Pizza. Truly authentic Italian style cooked to perfection by owner Fausto. And of course let's not forget their amazing Italian ice cream and top notch espresso coffee. Definetley be back 👍

We have just visited Gondolina which is a truly magnificent place. The staff are very friendly, the chef is Italian and maked this newly decorated place a little Venice. Food wise: all the ingredients are delivered from Italy and therefore pizza tastes exactly like it should and like it does in Italy. Everything is freshly prepared from scratch and attention to detail is thorough. We will be visiting Gondolina often from now on as it definitely stands out from the crowd. Hamilton, Gondolina is your little gem.

Food excellent, great value for money and staff were friendly. Had 2 course lunch for 9.99 and everything was good and portions are generous.

Ordered for home delivery. The pizzas are outstanding!!! I am very fussy with high standards and I was very,very impressed. Authentic with very reasonable prices. The pasta was fantastic too as was the sides, chips were amazing! Will recommend to all and I will definitely be a returning customer.

Visited for lunch on the first day of reopening after lockdown. We sat in the new ‘il canale’ section which has a real feel of Italy. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience with great food, value, portions and atmosphere. We’ve booked to go back with our grandchildren as they have a children’s menu

Booked a table here for a quick bite to eat, the interior is amazingly decorated and very fresh looking, the staff and owner are so welcoming and friendly and make you feel at ease from the second you walk inside. Then the food. The liver pâté was so smooth and full of flavour accompanied by fresh in house made bread (amazing) the sea bass salad was amazingly cooked, flakey but beautifully moist. The deserts selection is amazing also. I would recommend this amazing restaurant to all. Go in and give it a try, you will not be disappointed. Thank you to Fausto and his amazing staff for making my dining experience so great. Will definitely be back.

We booked into Fausto's Gondolina for some Pasta and Pizza Lunch. The food was great, the staff fantastic and Fausto showed us around the restaurant, which has a whole new area called il Canale... which has a large fish tank and a Vintage Vespa. Very clean, food great and staff helped make this a very enjoyable atmosphere'

Been out for a lunch couple days ago. Great pizza and chicken milanese.Very good value for money.Friendly and welcoming staff.Recommend to everyone.

Best place for Italian food and artisan bread is best

Fantastic traditional Italian food, if you want to taste the real food of Italian Nona and world champion pizza then try this place out.

Gondolina is by far the worst takeaway I've spent 18.99 on their deal every single thing was not only under cooked but very cheaply made complete rip not happy at all will never go back unless to sue for food poisoning!!

Excellent! Today It was my first visit and I and my friend we are absolutely love it. Delicious true Italian pizza, very tasty bruschetta and of course Italian cake. Amazing!!! I would like also say, that Gondolina Staff is very friendly and focus for guests. To add to all above - prices are competitive. This was my first time but not last, for 100% :).

Ordered via Just Eat, confirmed by restaurant at 13:41 to arrive around 14:13. Driver still at restaurant when I checked JE for an update at 14:17, pushed back to 14:27. Still no food by half past, app showing driver nearby, food arrived at 14:36. Driver apologised for delay & said it was apparently due to a wait for sauces. Very disappointed in the standard of food for the price I paid. Tried to design my own pizza with basil, mozzarella, Parmesan, ‘nduja & pepperoni - it would’ve worked out £19.00?! I was honestly fully expecting restaurant standard food, instead, most of it went to waste unfortunately! I’ll try to be constructive with my criticism: Lasagne al forno (£5.95) - Couldn’t fully open lid as it had melted into the box. Tub of oil & mince swimming about side to side, lucky if there were two thin layers of pasta & didn’t appear to have any cheese whatsoever?! Garlic bread (£3.50) - Four pieces of soggy bread. Both my partner & I tried a slice each, both of us gagged & spat it out! Had a horrible, damp taste. Tomato bruschetta (£3.50) - Slice of the same bread used for the garlic bread (as mentioned above) with a layer of chopped tomatoes & two slices of basil underneath it. Average at best. Jalapeño sticks (£3.50) - Banging! Good sized portion too! Pollo burger (£9.00) - Okay, but chicken was bland (didn’t appear to be marinated or seasoned). Chips were good though! Drinks (£12.00) - Ordered 500ml bottle of Cola (replaced by 4 cans instead which isn’t an issue - appreciate that very much!), salted caramel pretzel & Oreo milkshakes were unreal (but plastic straws?!), Rauch Pear is beautiful btw! Left a review on Just Eat, got offered to call if I wanted a discount off a future order, but first impressions stick & I won’t be using the restaurant again.

My oh my oh my... We tried their Margherita and Diavola pizza tonight and can honestly say it's the best Italian pizzas we've had (bearing in mind my fiancé's family are Italian and experienced the freshest of pizza's off the beaten track in Italy). Highly recommend this new gem of a place! delizioso e fantastico!

This place is a must try..!! Highly reccomend. Newly opened hidden gem with lovely Venetian decor, Gondolina feels like being in Venice situated within the Hamilton location serving a vide variety of delicious food to choose from their vast menu . Pizzas are a must try yummy truely authentic Italian style cooked to perfection. They also make a delicious homemade style Italian bread..!! And a good choice of desserts from their Rocher cake to their yummy Coconut ice cream. Lovely staff offering a great customer service and a welcome feeling to customers.
