Starter mixed meat etc needs bread...quite oily Mains risotto lovely Steak and mushroom fettuccine 6/10 very oily also Tiramasu 10/10 Bottle wine £25 absolutely unacceptable for the wine ur getting £15 would be more like it!

Ordered from here due to timing promoted pre purchase. Pizza was delivered 20 minutes after that timing expired. Pizza was tough and chewy. Didn't have a lot of sauce or cheese. Might appeal to some but not again.

The pizza was absolutely beautiful and the garlic dip was lovely. Staff friendly and attentive would definitely recommend to friends. Do a deal 5-7 weekdays which is really reasonable priced for really high quality food. Portions are generous and will definitely be back

Was very quiet for a Saturday lunch, we were the only table. Food was tasty, even of service was slow. Shame that side dishes didn't arrive until we had finished our mains, but the server forgot them, it seems. Overall happy, we will be back because of the tasty food and decent music

Our flat is a door entry no one buzzed then it showed as delivered my son found it lying outside on the steps which is utterly ridiculous leaving food outside I am disgusted with this service

Need to be honest with this review..I was quite disappointed. The risotto was the smallest I've ever seen and the carbonarra was the least creamy I've ever seen.garlic bread was ok..a waste of £28

Went here for a Fathers Day meal with my 2 kids. Was very underwhelmed by the food, lasagne was not fresh as the pasta was very soggy, obviously I don't expect a fresh lasagne made right there but not frozen for days and blasted in micro. The kids had an Aribiata, not very tasty at all and 1 of my kids didn’t like it and felt the pasta was undercooked(he only chose this as no pepperoni pizzas), he barely touched it and I presumed it would be removed from the bill, it wasn’t. Very disappointed that an Italian restaurant didn’t have pepperoni and we would not rush back. Couple of the girls were pleasant enough, but we went there for an experience as well as food and cannot say we were fulfilled in either.

all I have to say is WOW! can't believe I didn't know about this place on my doorstop before! both pasta dishes are outta this world, arrived hot and were exactly the flavour I was craving! Gluten-free options 1000000!!!! you just made my life as a coeliac so much brighter, will definitely need to come in to eat sometime but 100% will be ordering regularly! thank you team!

We go to this Italian place every now and then for a wee date night, and it never disappoints. The pizza and carbonara are to die for – seriously, some of the best I've ever had. The prices are excellent too, so you’re getting great food without breaking the bank. The atmosphere is always brilliant. It’s cozy and welcoming, perfect for a date or just a night out with friends. The staff are always friendly and smiling, which makes the experience even better. They’re attentive without being overbearing, and they really make you feel at home. The food is always piping hot and absolutely delicious. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic pizza or some creamy carbonara, you can’t go wrong. Everything tastes fresh and flavorful, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. I’ve tried a few different dishes here, and they’ve all been amazing. Honestly, I wouldn’t go anywhere else for Italian food. This place has set the bar really high. If you’re in the area and looking for a great place to eat, definitely check it out. You won’t be disappointed!

Lovely Italian in Rutherglen. Good selection of freshly made pizza and pasta. Cocktails were also delicious. It's a very quiet restaurant so atmosphere not the busiest but staff are very friendly and attentive.

Our first time visit to this Italian eaterie, located in the middle of Rutherglen Main Street. We'll DEFINITELY be back! Great tasting fresh dishes, enjoyed in a tidy, intimate, modern-style restaurant, with friendly service from the lovely Soni. The kitchen is clearly visible from the dining area - this actually adds to the experience. Nduja sausage pizza with red onions & basil for me - fettuccine salsiccia for my wife. Two pints of Moretti, and 2 medium sized red wines 175ml (I'd guess) - Montepulciano D'Abruzzos - £53 bill. One of the most enjoyable restaurant Pizzas I've ever had - spot-on. Overall - great value! Booking recommended.

Just had my first meal at Padanos in years.. massively impressed with the quality of both food and service! Hidden gem of Rutherglen. Great value for money too in comparison to some other Italians around Glasgow. Very authentic tasting food and good high quality ingredients 🙂 atmosphere is very relaxed and perfect for a wee night with a loved one or a date night. Staff very attentive and welcoming. Will definitely be back!

Really great restaurant on Rutherglen Main Street. The food was delicious, - we shared the meatballs and arancini as a starter and both were so tasty. We then had a mix of pizza/pastas and all were great. They also do a good range of cocktails and desserts. Will be back soon :)

Delivery was repeatedly delayed, food was cold and tasteless. £4.50 for HALF a slice of bread what looks like one sliced mushroom, come on, you're having a laugh. The steak fettuccine, advertised as sliced steak, no chance, small cut up bits barely teaspoon sized, no colour, overcooked and tasteless, and the brass neck to charge £16? Won't be ordering from here again

I was disappointed, the place lacked atmosphere and I’m it’s the middle of January and -3 outside, but maybe a little background music, the restaurant was so cold and I know it’s winter but it should be warm for your guests. The food was so disappointing, the seafood pasta was dull and lacked taste, the prawns tasted like a bag of bag of frozen prawns from Iceland food store, defo 100% not fresh prawns as you can taste the difference. The squid was overcooked and like rubber. The pizzas were oily and I’m guessing not a good quality cheese .. I tried this place 5 years ago and it was awesome, had 3 Italian chefs in the kitchen .. food was outstanding. I’m so disappointed this time around. The girls were nice and pleasant.

I’m a very regular weekly customer, I ordered pizzas yesterday which are always great. Sadly last night was very disappointing, I ordered via Uber Eats but it’s usually the restaurant that delivers. Food was 20mins late on the App so I went to the front door to find the pizza sitting wet in the rain and freezing cold, god knows what crawled through pizza box holes in that time. Pizza’s completely inedible and binned. Shocking performance. Edit, I’ve had several orders since my review and have not experienced the same issue. Pizza’s are very good, pasta’s are ok, but small portions and not getting quite expensive.

The pizza in Padano is simply fantastic. We eat here often (and I have to admit to using JustEat for deliveries often too) The pizzas are authentic Neapolitan - light base, with really delicious toppings. The lasagne is delicious - just the right texture. The restaurant is lovely and comfortable inside with really friendly staff. And if getting a delivery the food always arrive hot and tasty. It's a great place for anyone in the local area. Well done and keep up the great work guys! Kx

The decor inside is lovely, it looks better in person than in the photos. Pretty spacious. We were greated with a warm smile and shown to out table by the waitress/Bar front of house lady. Ordered our food,2 starters and 2 mains. Both were delicious and the waitress serving our food was very pleasant and smiling. For me the staff definitely make a place feel welcoming and will ultimately have a say in weather you return.

Every time I've dined here food and service very good but place was emptyish when we were in today.

Great place to eat. Our host Paul was very professional. The dishes were good examples of the Italian coousine (I am Italian so I know what I am talking about :-) ). The gluten free pasta was very tasty. I have been in price winning Italian restaurants and I found this better. Highly recommended

Popped in with friends as we picked them up from the station and this was local. We all had pizza and pasta dishes, all were tasty and we finished all our plates. The service was great the boys do a good job of welcoming you and interacting to ensure you have the best service, they were very obliging. We tried to book again another evening but they seem to close early. Looking forward to returning when in the area at an earlier time.

Best Pizza in Rutherglen Burgh by a mile . Don't be out off by location or plain exterior. Food and service are spot on. Also, being local isn't as expensive as in the city. Better food service and prices .

Quiet but nothing wrong with that! Very impressed with them pizza, had ndjua & it was lovely. Not greasy. Mrs had carbonara, but it didn't have cream. Asked by waiter & he explained it's how they make it but can be fixed in 2 minutes. & They did. Can't fault them. Youngest wolfed his ham pizza down, so verdict is "we'll be back"

Padano Pizza and Pasta has been a firm favourite in Rutherglen for a few years now. The pizzas are second to none and pasta dishes are delicious. There are also a few other main dishes on offer. However, they have recently added a new Market Menu which has taken eating here up a level. Freshly cooked food prepared by their Italian chef's at reasonable prices, the menu's are changed regularly, which means there's usually something different every time. We come here often and absolutely love it. Friendly staff and great value. Well worth a visit!

Last night my wife and I attended this restaurant to spend a Christmas voucher we were given by a friend. Staff were attentive, the restaurant was well presented and cosy. Service was very efficient. We skipped starters and had mains, which I opted for the Pizza Cotto e Funghi which was well presented, warm and tasty, my wife opted for the Lasagne with a side salad both came well presented and tasty. For Desserts I had the meringue which was well presented and again very tasty, my opted for the chocolate fudge cake with ice cream both again were very edible. Drinks were reasonably priced, overall well worth a visit if you are in the area.

We ate here as a party of 4 on a Thursday evening. It was my first time here and the restaurant came highly recommended. As it was after 6pm we easily found a free parking space in King St behind Main St - so a 2 minute walk to the restaurant. It’s a nice looking place outside and especially inside. The service was friendly throughout. The food was a bit mixed. My starter (crostini) was good, whereas my pasta dish was a bit bland. The tiramisu dessert was huge and very good. On the whole the food was decent. The bill was £35 each (including tip) for 3 courses, 3 alcoholic drinks and 2 soft drinks with 4 coffees - that was fair value in my opinion.

Came here for my friends birthday, food and service was wonderful. We were served by Agata and she was great and so sweet. Highly recommend!

Good pizza’s but very unreliable delivery. Food arrived stone cold and the pizza was soggy and inedible. I’m sure the restaurant will say it’s not their fault but it’s certainly not my fault, you have chosen this delivery service. All I expect is food to arrive fresh and warm.

Quite simply the best pizza. I like my base thin but with a fluffy crunchy crust and these guys do it so, so well. You cannot choose a bad one off the menu. Trust me. I have tried them all. For me the number one is the specialé. The best salami, a hint of chili and then wee bombs of picantę gorgonzola for that extra yum. Of course it's always difficult to go for that or the equally awesome seafood. Oh and don't forget to order a portion of truffle mayo to enjoy your crust to the max.

We're just back from another visit to this brilliant restaurant. They have recently updated the menu and we are gradually working our way through it and believe me, this is no hardship. Delicious, freshly made food and friendly staff. Their wines are well priced and if you like a cocktail Connor, the in house mixologist, has something for every taste. That's another menu we're working our way through ;) Well worth a visit and highly recommended.

I had just finished work and my wife suggested that we meet with her sister in Padano as we hadn’t tried it. We had bread and olives to start which were ok but when the main courses came, so did the problems. I had ordered the paperdelle and my wife the ghocci. Both dishes were very bland and tasteless. I mentioned this to the waitress and the manager arrived. I repeated my concerns regarding the food and the reply was ‘I had that for my dinner and it was ok’ I repeated my complaint to which the reply was ‘well your paying for it!!!’ And when I asked why the reply again escalated the situation’ if you don’t I’m calling the police!!!’ This escalation got my back up! Go on then! I and my wife have worked in hospitality for decades and never came across an attitude like his. Eventually he said he would discount the food but ‘you’re paying for your drinks’ I put money on the table and stormed out! If this escalation of a complaint to threaten to call the police is normal procedures then it makes me think that this is NOT an unusual occurrence!!! Very poor service and customer skills 😡😡😡
