Great ambiance and super efficient service. Starters are too expensive though. Two menuâs, one twice the price of the other, which is ok if you want to treat yourself, but my wife ate off the cheaper menu and I ate off the more expensive one but not sure it was twice as good.

Abbiamo bevuto acqua e coca e abbiamo dovuto chiedere I bicchieri... Mai piĂš Una tristezza immensa... 24,50ÂŁ rubati

We had an absolutely fantastic birthday dinner here, and it matches or exceeds everywhere we ate on our holiday in Italy this year! The service was relaxed but very attentive, and the sommelier was superb, matching wines perfectly to our dishes. Each dish was faultless, from the gnocchi to the veal, paired with a wonderful glass of pinot noir. If we lived in the area we would eat here all the time!

We visited this restaurant on a Sunday lunchtime and it wasn't very busy. It's a beautiful restaurant. The waitress was very nice and polite and she managed the floor well, a few irks.... The service was slightly slow, considering there wasn't that many customers being abit more attentive would of been a bonus. I asked for my food to be extra spicy as the menu said it was "two chillies" spicy.... Sadly it was not spicy at all. Value for money, not really. The Gamberoni Piccanti cost ÂŁ11.95 and was not up to par... The flavours wasn't hitting it and although meant to be spicy. Not at all. Honestly for a pasta main costing around ÂŁ17.... It honestly isn't worth it. I expect full flavours for pricey meals. I would of asked for some chilli sauce or something had we been checked by the waitress about our meal. But she didn't come to see how our meal was and she was mainly in the back so wasn't easy to get her attention. She was very polite when addressing us about dessert. Honestly the restaurant could be 5* if the flavours packed a punch.

This was family celebration. We went to Vicino on the recommendation of one of the party. Sadly, it must have changed management as it was unrecognisable. The silver service and caring waiters had been replaced by rude and unhelpful waiting staff, reflecting the attitude of the manager (owner?) who was just unpleasant. We asked to be moved to another table but this was denied notwithstanding that it was empty all evening. This is the worst meal I can ever remember having. The service was slow, and people were served at different times. It seemed throughout that we were being done a favour by reluctant staff. When the food did come, there were no redeeming features. The pasta was a congealed mass. The muscles were overcooked and dry. The lasagna was microwaved and stodgy. The gamberoni were shrivelled. The calamari looked as if they had come from a frozen packet. Even the asparagus special was ruined. I usually enjoy liver which should be of good quality and lightly cooked; what was served was of poor quality reheated in a sauce which can only be described as uniquely dreadful. The Pinot and Barbera were of very low quality and almost undrinkable. To cap it all the bill was substantially more than I anticipated.

From the first moment when I stepped into the restaurant, I was deeply impressed by the atmosphere in the room, and the friendly and kind staff, the divine food, I felt exactly like in Italy, the chef Zia was excellent, although I had some special requirements, the menu was delivered exactly as I wanted it for both myself and my children. RECOMMEND WITH CONFIDENCE. Unfortunately I can't give more stars, if it were up to me, I would give 10+.

Great Italian. We went Sunday evening and we had two friendly and attentive staff members. We had bruschetta, potato skins and olives (starter); and pizza, meatballs and arrabiatta and vegetable lasagne. It was all fab and a bottle of Valpolicello Ripasso complemented the food. Highly recommended and not far from Crowne Plaza where we were staying.
