Fantastic meal and service wonderful. Every time we visit the food doesn't disappoint.

So it was our Daughters 18th Birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎈 🎁 meal and after reading all the great reviews on Google we decided to Book the Italian Room. So we booked a Table for the 6 of us for 19:00 hours, So we arrived and we were warmly greeted by a member of staff who showed us to our table. Restaurant had a lovely exterior and interior, Quite a Cozy dining room, After a few minutes we ordered drinks, We ordered Three pints of Moretti, Two pints of Coke and a glass of Merlot. For Food we ordered Olives 🫒 to share and a portion of Chicken and Chorizo skewers for mains we ordered Cannelloni, Pizza 🍕, Mussels in a creamy garlic sauce, 2x Prawn Gamberoni, Sea Food pasta with Two portions of Chips and a Cheesy Garlic Bread. Food was very well presented, Tasted amazing and was a perfect portion size, Food was honestly amazing so fresh and authentic Italian food, Service was absolutely fantastic and the staff were extremely accommodating and very polite and friendly and were extremely patient as we were up and down taking photos and videos while dinner service was taking place. The Full Bill was £250 that is for a Table of Six for our Daughters 18th Birthday meal with Plenty of drinks, Shots etc. We always give our honest opinion on pur experiences on Google and we have over 27,000,000+ Views. Then The staff came out with the Birthday cake 🎂 we brought and the staff came out with our Daughters cake singing Happy Birthday which was a lovely touch. Honestly We cannot recommend The Italian Room highly enough, We knew from the the fantastic reviews it was going to be amazing but honestly the Food, The Restaurant itself, The Service, The staff and the whole dining experience is Top Draw. 5☆ 5☆ 5☆ 5☆ 5☆

Always amazing food and great service

What a find! An Italian Restaurant in a prominent and convenient location, great food, good choice of alcoholic beverages, commendable service and pleasant interior, which we had never tried before. We were impressed enough to visit 3 more times before writing this review, and found nothing to disappoint. Food was of a very good standard, starters, mains and desserts. The wine list was respectable, with some available by the glass. Service at table was friendly and efficient, even on a very busy Valentine’s night. There is also an ‘early bird’ menu available on some evenings. The Restaurant is open Wednesday through to Saturday evenings, and from mid afternoon on Sundays. Altogether a great place, good value and most worthy of recommendation. They also take orders by phone to collect in person, and via a food delivery Company. Reserving a table is advisable as this establishment is, understandably, popular. Public Car parking nearby is a bit limited. Major Credit Cards are accepted.

My husband and I went there for an evening meal which was very nice . I have been to Italy and places elsewhere but the pisas are beautiful the dough is so fresh. I also went in a group of four .and we all enjoyed our meals . Staff are lovely and can't do enough for you . I eould definitely recommend The Italian Room .

10 stars! The service is outstanding! We visited with adults and children, early evening. The service was outstanding, very friendly and attentive. All staff were great and really made our evening. The food arrived quickly, was piping hot and lovely, fresh and tasty. Parking outside not a problem, Cant recommend this place highly enough, its a real gem.

Fantastic night ordered one of the specials starters the stuffed peppers which were completely amazing best I've ever had. I've asked the owner to put them on the permanent menu. Not sure it will happen but well worth the visit anyway. Whole meal was brilliant. Staff where so kind especially Lily when my 4 year old son fell in love with her. The owner checking up on our table gave it a personal touch. And the whole meal was so enjoyable. Couldn't ask for a better atmosphere. Will be back again as I have been, so many times before. Gem of Rochdale! The staff are always superb and make you feel like an old friend when you walk in, a really lovely touch! I had the pork medallion special today and it was absolutely fab. I honestly love coming to the Italian room, every visit feels like a special occasion even when you cant be bothered cooking tea on a friday 🫣 Definitely recommend and cannot wait to come back ❤️

We’ve been coming here for 3 years now, and the quality of food still manages to impress. But the real ace in their pack is the quality of service. All staff are fabulous and personable. You are made to feel extremely valued and special. Old fashioned qualities and values which are sadly lacking in a lot of venues in this day and age. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Great food, great service, warm atmosphere and good value

We went here for the 1st time in 8 years for our anniversary as it was one of the 1st places we ate at. It's good to see it's still open. But you don't get the Italian vibes like the San Roccos, Bella Vistas. Theres no quiet Italian music nor Italian speaking staff. But the main concern is the pricing, its pence off equal to central Manchester prices and yet it's in Rochdale. I know places are struggling but jeez. The mains where good flavour, pasta dish and a pizza. My partner had a mushroom and sauce dish which she enjoyed I had the Chicken & Chorizo Skewer with a sweet chilli sauce. I paid £8.50 for this and wow it was terrible, you get a small skewer with really well done chicken and solid chorizo, 5 pieces in all on top of a thick bed of rocket salad. The sauce was terrible also, it looked really dark had very little flavour (not sweet chilli) more like a Chinese Teriyaki, overall average and overpriced, it's a shame really I just wish I took photos.

First meal out with the girlfriend and the service from the waiters were impeccable and the atmosphere was brilliant! Food was awesome, can't wait to go again.

We went with some friends to the Italian Room to tonight, I will start by saying that we live within walking distance of Doce Vita and for convenience normally eat there, the Italian room is definitely the better of the two, decor, food and standards. It may seem a small thing, but I saw on the specials menu Hake in spicy breadcrumb and do the normally order fish but the breadcrumb sounded nice and so I thought I'd give it a try. When the dish arrived it had no breadcrumbs, so I asked the waitress to check it was the right dish as it said breadcrumbed on the menu, I saw that she didn't check with anyone but popped back and said yes it was. It was okay, not really what I fancied but I ate it. When she came to clear the plates I asked if she would speak to the chef and see why it had no breadcrumbs, she returned a few minutes later and said she had spoken to the chef and he had forgot, then turned and walked away. The was no 5 star service " I will take it off the bill" or 4 star service "that next glass of wine is on the house" when the bill came they charged me an extra pound for the dish £19.95 instead of £18.95. I called the manager over explained about the dish being wrong ".. and now you've charged me an extra pound for it!" He apologised and brought back my £152 bill and said "I've taken a little bit more off and gave me a bill for £150" Now the moral of this story is that the staff that could have sorted it actually paid for my Hake dish, I would have left £20 tip on a £150 bill, I left nothing! Some extra training here would make their customers happier and the staff wealthier - such a shame! All in all, as I said, there's nothing wrong with the place or the food, don't let my review put you off coming here.

One of the best restaurants in the area. Never had a negative experience at the Italian room. Food is fresh and very tasty. First class service as well. You definitely won't be disappointed. Don't take my word for it. Try it yourself.

Been meaning to visit this restaurant for ages. Well worth the wait. Visited on a Wednesday night. Had to wait a short while for a table. The place was full. The service and food was first class. Fresh decent ingredients. Definitely won't leave it that long to visit again.

Having ordered for delivery, arrived with TWO HAIRS in the tiramisu. 🤢🤮 Ahhh. They did not replace or offer anything. Almost I should be happy for extras. Not hygienic, what else coluld be below acceptable 🙄

Another outstanding meal. A great restaurant with friendly helpful staff who listen and do exactly what you want. The chefs create amazing food (especially the fish and steaks) that’s consistently incredible with properly sized portions. As always - thank you and see you very soon

We visit the Italian Room very regularly. It's staff are lovely, service is efficient, and the food is always of a high standard. A very solid Italian. However, last night I had the blue cheese and garlic button mushrooms with crispy pancetta and it was outstanding. The Penne Primavera was great too with vegetables staying lovely and crisp. Compliments to the chef!!

Goats cheese starter, carbonara main, cheesecake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream to finish.... Just top notch.... I even dined on my own because if I'm spending £20 on a takeaway then for an extra £5 i can sit in and enjoy myself. 5 Stars

Visited on Saturday evening, having spoken to Eden earlier in the day to discuss my menu choices because of my food allergies. He was extremely helpful so ordering my choice wasn't the nightmare it can be at some places. The food was beautifully cooked: the service very good and we enjoyed a very pleasant evening. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely food. I had the mussels to start, the steak with peppercorn and brandy sauce and then pavlova and it was all really tasty and well made. Would recommend.

No I’m sorry this was by far the most miserable meal I’ve had in a long time. Ok the food arrived nice and warm but that’s where it ends. Tasteless... small portions. Some of it over cooked, some of it undercooked. Seasoning was ridiculous. I’ve eaten in a few times and always hit and miss. I’ve given it 2 stars as sometimes it’s not bad... never been amazing though I’m afraid guys.

We decided last minute to order in for New Years Eve the restaurant was able to accommodate our food order and delivered at the time we asked - the food was hot and delicious and every last bit was eaten - would certainly order again or visit when we’re able to.

The food was excellent tasty. I had the stroganoff with rice. Chicken chorizo for starters The place itself the decor is quite plain and clean modern and simple, it does not have a cosy atmosphere. If its the food you are after its great.

Despite all the Covid restrictions, we enjoyed a lovely meal at the Italian Room recently. Mike and his team are always very welcoming, the food is always great and the prices are reasonable. We'll be back soon! Highly recommended - 5 stars

Food wasn’t great. Bit disappointed to be honest and very expensive. I tried chicken dish which at almost £18 I thought would be great for that price. It wasn’t! My wife liked her lamb dish so maybe I just fell unlucky? I won’t be going again, far better Italian restaurants in area and cheaper. £8.50 for a starter but that was ok. Staff are friendly and attentive, all wore masks, atmosphere was dull but that cis if Covid. I have been before and it was better. Won’t go again to be honest and would recommend.

I ordered some pizza and chips. The delivery was very fast. The pizza was a 7.0 out of 10. The chips were very nice but not plentiful, to say the least. Not bad, but not great either.

Very impressed with quality of takeaway,food arrived piping hot(even the garlic bread) it was freshly cooked and just as good as eating in the restaurant. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

During lockdown it was my birthday. I wanted some good food but didn't want to cook. A friend recommended The Italian Room. We ordered fillet steaks and rack of lamb. The food was delicious, Steaks so melt in the mouth, sauce's were rich and tasty. I had a real birthday treat. I will definitely be ordering from here again and visiting when they reopen

Came for drinks a while ago. Amazing, enjoyed the atmosphere and the prices were reasonable and it was clean.

Due to the current lockdown situation in the U.K. we decided to have a treat for Dinner and the Italian Room did not disappoint. Highly recommend!

Nice to go back to a good local restaurant. The menu has enough variety to suit anyone keen on Italian food. Presentation is ok, quality is excellent service is efficient & friendly.Nice Decor and ambiance with a front section and rear dining area. Good range of beers and well priced wines.

We went for the early bird last night. Superb food my pasta with smoked salmon and asparagus was the best pasta I've ever had. Cannot fault at all we've been a few times never been disappointed. Took my family for a meal at the Italian Room and what a lovely evening. From walking into the restaurant the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. I ordered Lasagne, I have never tasted Lasagne so good Excellent. Others in my group ordered a steak which they said was also very good, and the fish was perfect. Altogether excellent food and service. Will highly recommend.

Came here for my birthday meal a couple of weeks ago, with high hopes.Things didn't start too well when I asked if they could make me a negroni cocktail as an aperitif, only to be met with a perplexed expression and "we don't make cocktails...", which is fair enough, but a negroni is a well known Italian cocktail and as I said, an aperitif so it was a shame it isn't an option.I had mussels to start and half of the shells were smashed up, which meant every few mouthfuls contained a nice crunch. The sauce was quite nice, it is a shame no crusty bread was served with it or offered. Nor was the obligatory check to see if everything was OK forthcoming.Others in my party also were left underwhelmed, although my mother did enjoy her mushroom starter.I love authentic, stone baked pizza and often have one alongside my 'secondi'. Unfortunately, this was neither stone baked, authentic or warm. Neither was the garlic bread which was ordered by my brother.My main was the Pollo Messicano, which again was underwhelming and a little watery in taste.As a side note, I am often suspicious when I see a dish of a completely different cuisine offered as a 'Special', on this occasion a Thai Rendang. Maybe it's the traditionalist in me, but if I wanted Thai food, I'd visit a Thai restaurant.The highlight of the evening was our waiter, an older gentleman with a great sense of humour, but I'm afraid even he wouldn't be enough for me to return.

After struggling to get into our usual Italian down the road in Heywood (Bella Sera), we tried here.The room is too bright and there isn't much atmosphere or ambiance. It was very quiet - strange for an Italian on a Friday night.Wine was nice and service was good enough. Pasta was bland, very average. The 'king prawns' were those weird ones created from bits of smaller, cheaper prawns fused together?! Disappointing but not overpriced.

The starter was lovely but main left a lot to be desired.

Food was purely beautiful. Service from staff was very nice. The only downside is how small the building is but I didn’t come for a museum experience. I recommend it highly and i believe it is one of the nicest Italian restaurants in the town.

As always we were warmly welcomed by Michael the owner and offered a choice of seating. The food is always tasty and hot and I enjoyed both wild mushroom risotto as s starter and Fettuccine Salmon as a main course with GF pasta. I was delighted to hear a number of GF desserts were now available and had an extremely tasty raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake. The wine selection is varied and very well priced. Michael (Maître) and Eden are always courteous and chatty and it’s great to be served by the same team each time. There is a good early bird menu available during certain times. A must return to restaurant when I am back visiting in the area.
