Olley's in Harrogate

We eat at Olleys quite a lot and have never had a meal that wasn’t lovely. The staff are always fantastic and welcoming and it has a great atmosphere. I’ve never heard anyone local say anything negative about this restaurant.

We booked as it was recommended to do so and was very busy every time we passed.While it was OK, it didn't live up to our expectations.In particular my sons "chilli" pizza wasn't really what we expected ( maybe thats our fault if we did'nt read the description of it on the menu right) but it was basically a pizza with a chilli con carne piled on top. It didn't look very nice and he did not like it.We also found the service a bit slow, it took ages between courses and lost the will to hang it out any further by the time it was dessert time so we paid and left.We did use it again for take away pizzas later in the week and they were fine ( avoiding the chilli one). Probably the best place in the village and would probably go back but very busy and struggling to cope with the custom they have I fear.
