This is the second time I have been here. It's a lovely place for a celebration. Personally I wouldn't go if you want a romantic dinner especially when there is a singer or DJ. My husband and I couldn't have a conversation as it was too loud. The acoustics are awful. Recently I attended a birthday celebration. The food was fantastic and was very well organised. However the service for the bottomless brunch for the non alcoholic package was dreadful. We waited 1/2 hr for our second drink and they didn't get the order right which was highly frustrating. The group that had the alcohol package were well looked after and had several drinks lined up. Just because I don't drink alcohol doesn't mean I want to wait a very long time for my drinks. And there was a lovely selection of non alcoholic mocktails that I wanted to try. All be it it was a lovely afternoon and a good time was had by all.

We visited this restaurant in midweek, an early evening meal as we had heard good things about- my long suffering partner opted for a wrap and she was pleased with the fresh ingredients and the portion size was perfect- the fries were crispy and fluffy (I had my own portion as I value my safety), my lamb kebab was beautifully spiced and aromatic with the Bulgar rice a perfect accompaniment. I also tried the Turkish wine that had lovely cherry notes and just to be sure I had another. The lovely owners provided an additional, complementary starter and a taster of a dessert which was a nice touch. The menu also provides pizzas and burgers and therefore there should be something for everyone - they also offer takeaways. Highly recommended for a relaxing and nourishing meal

The worst food! Pretentious, overpriced, inedible in some cases. A real disaster for my mum and her friends. Service fine apart from no offer to remove the food not eaten from the bill and the worst meal any of the group had ever had.

I recently visited Italb and it was great! The atmosphere was cozy. I tried the pasta and it was delicious. The pizza had a nice crispy crust and the toppings were tasty. For dessert, I had tiramisu, which was the perfect ending to the meal. Overall, a lovely place to enjoy some authentic Italian food! Also, I’d like to thank the staff for being so friendly and making sure everything was perfect for my birthday.☺️❤️

Bolton’s: A Trip Back in Time, and the Veal Ragu’s Not Half Bad Either Bolton’s is one of those little gems that proves just how far London will go to stay exactly the same. You know that bit in Goodnight Sweetheart where Gary Sparrow ducks down an alleyway and suddenly, it’s 1940? Well, at Bolton’s, you shuffle down a flight of stairs off Cullum Street and it might as well be 1979. Maybe even ’69, though who’s counting? The walls are blank, save for the odd, indifferent frame, and there’s a stiffness to the white tablecloths that feels like it’s been preserved by the ghost of Italian restauranteurs past. But here’s the thing—it’s glorious. Because what Bolton’s does, it does very well. There’s no nonsense here: no drizzles, no foams, no plates resembling the mind of a mad artist. Just honest, robust Italian food served by waiters who glide about with the kind of seamless charm that makes you feel like a long-lost cousin of the family. Now, to the meal. I started with a plump bundle of asparagus, artfully draped in something rich and buttery, and it was everything you’d want. Then came the veal ragu over pasta, a dish with so much gusto it could’ve walked straight out of Nonna’s kitchen in Naples. It’s simple, bold, and nearly as satisfying as a first love—or maybe a third, by which point you’ve learned to appreciate reliability over flash. Is it groundbreaking? Absolutely not. But that’s what makes it perfect. Bolton’s has no interest in change, and for that, it deserves a proper cheer.

We had a lovely meal at Cafe Rojano - eventually. The food was good - especially the PX glazed chicken wings (I bought the cookbook just to get this recipe!) - but we were left waiting for almost 15 minutes at the door before being shown to our table. We had booked well in advance, and it was a good job we had. The place was packed, and the serving staff were doing their best, but it just seemed a little - hectic. We weren't in a rush, but it took the shine off what could have been a delightful evening.
