Great place for quick delicious food

Forget going to the WAG infested Panoramic. For great, affordable food Pasta Cosa is the place to go. Nestledin the bustling Castle Street it’s easy to miss but at your loss. Whether you are on a lunch trip at work or out and about late night shopping this is a gem. Polite and helpul staff and a great selection. There’s no toilet or parking but don’t let that put you off.

Pasta Costa is a lovely little canteen with outside seating right opposite the Liverpool City Hall. I had the Torchietto Arrabiata with the Tomato & Mozzarella Ciabatta. The pasta does feel homemade and, as they describe it, made to order. From the time of order until serving it was about 10 minutes so no complaints there.

My favourite place for pasta in Liverpool. Theres normally about a 10 minute wait so I wouldn’t go if you’re in a rush. Lovely place to go in summer for takeout and eat it near the docks :)

The food is good but it's small and I still hungry after finishing it. I advise to order with sides and the main course are not enough

Pizza was a little dry, not too much cheese. The pasta did not have carbonara, it did not have much flavor. The amounts seemed small to me. The service was fast.

A really tiny but authentic Italian restaurant. Not a massive choice, nor many seats but we managed to sit down to eat. Definitely a different experience than the big pub chains, a lot more intimate due to the size of the property. Seems to be popular with students (maybe they get a discount), but not too rowdy. The two members of staff we saw worked hard and were lovely.

Friendly service and great value for money. This place was perfect for some decent quick and casual food.

The pasta, sauce, and toppings were all VERY high quality, and for the price, you can't beat it.

Lovely staff with prompt and accurate service. Lady working the till was very sweet and polite, as was the lady who brought out the lovely food to me.

A brilliant find for food in Liverpool, beautiful little restaurant with freshly cooked pasta and a fab choice of sauces. Discovered this place while on holiday with my fiancé, we will definitely be returning when we visit the city again! The mozzarella arancini is heavenly😍

More delicious than some big restaurants

Looking for somewhere quick and casual whilst enjoying the River of Light and this was ideal. Relaxed, friendly service and perfectly-cooked pasta. We had torchietto salmon and prawn, and torchietto vegatable aglio e olio and the latter was a brilliant example of a simple dish done excellently.

Stopped for a bit of lunch as I wanted something quick. This place is awesome. Really friendly staff but the main point here is how good the pasta was. I can’t even remember what I ordered but it was exceptionally good and very well priced. Definitely recommend trying it.

Small welcoming restaurant, with seating both inside and outside. Really run by Italians. I recommend the gnocchi with pesto and the crunchy bread like at home 😁

Absolutely amazing food and staff and environment.

Ordered online through ubereats, they somehow missed an entire pizza off my order. If if wasn't for that I would have given a 4 or 5 star rating as it was tasty. Just disappointed they missed a whole frigging pizza. Whoever is responsible needs a coffee.

Great pasta dishes as good as eating in Italy and great value for money. This is more a takeaway with limited seating inside and outside if you want eat there. However we were able to get seating for 5 of us on two ocations and the food compensates for the basic seating. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Ordered from here on Uber Eats, got the carbonara with added chorizo, not much flavour, ended up adding my own garlic salt onto it for taste. Also small black hairs in the food. Regretted spending £25 here 😞

The bolognese bake is sublime. The staff are always nice and we received our food really fast the last time I visited.

Nice food. I had pasta with salmon, prawn, cream and chive, my boyfriend had arrabbiata. Both were a nice fair portion (I struggled to finish my pasta). It's worth the money, and the place is small, but cozy. The staff was nice and smiling. A place to keep in mind if you're fancy a plate of pasta, in town, quick and a fair price for the quality and quantity.

Tiny portion. £9 for the nduja broccoli gluten free pasty, had about 5 tiny pieces of broccoli and couldn’t really see or taste the nduja. About a cup of pasta. On top of that, I can’t quite put my finger on it but the pasta itself was… odd? Maybe undercooked? I’m not sure. The texture was odd and the sauce was flavourless. They were also rude. After 15 mins waiting I asked where my order was as I needed to get back to the office for a meeting and was told another 5 mins. 5 mins later I ask again and am told “it’s been ready for ages” I’d like me you’re gluten free and need something in the area, sure why not, it was edible. But personally I wouldn’t return.

Love this place, we went after a recommendation and was so glad we did, lovely pasta and gnocchi, very filling, lovely staff and we will be back again.

Nice place, you can assemble your dish by choosing the pasta and side dishes. For an additional £3.50 they serve delicious garlic bread and a cold drink. Two people (who weren't very hungry) ate the bolognese bake, which was hot and delicious.

Creamy spinach, mushroom pasta. Delicious. Handy for a quick stop for pasta. Not table service.

You can choose the type of pasta and sauce you want, if you want to add something extra (like chicken, fish or a vegetable) you are charged extra, if you want bread you are also charged extra. There is a “make it a meal deal” promotion for £3.25 more (add a drink and garlic bread), but it is only from 12-3pm; I arrived after 3pm, so I couldn't choose it like that. I ordered tagliatelle pasta in pesto sauce (£7.45) without any extra, I ordered garlic bread to accompany, which I thought was very overpriced: £3. The bread is not bad, but it doesn't have any garlic or butter flavor, it's supposed to be garlic, it doesn't taste like anything. I definitely wouldn't recommend it at all, it seems very expensive for what is offered, the place is nice and cozy, but the food is not good or cheap.

Great choice and nicely prepared pasta. Like to treat myself there some lunchtimes when in the office. Can be a bit of a wait at times, but that's because they are busy and they are busy for a reason.

What's not to love. The food is decently priced. The recipes are authentic. They will customise things if you ask and if they can. A walk to wok type concept but for authentic non greasy Italian food.

It’s a really cool concept. I had the Gnocci with salmon and shrimp. You can customise your pasta in many ways. The portion size may look small but the pasta is really filling

We went there 25 minutes before closing time for a takeout and they were already closed. Why show opening/closing time if you are not going to follow them? Too bad we could not taste their food.

On an extremely busy day, when rushed off their feet…. The food was Epic… cooked perfectly, with amazing flavour. Polite staff, helpful and endearing. I will certainly return.

This place is amazing. We were going to another eatery but they weren't serving . I am so glad we came here instead. The food was sublime and there was more than enough. The staff were awesome and so friendly.

Pasta Cosa is a cute little place with amazing food. The food is excellent and people working here always greet you with a smile. I like Gnocchi pasta with Salmon & prawn sauce. I would like to give a shout-out to Chef Francesca because she makes it the best :-) I am fortunate to have this place just a minute away from my home.

Went in to get my lunch, Francesca was so lovely and the seaood pasta was delicious, will definitely be a regular, staff were all very welcoming, thank you!

Twice I’ve eaten here and all the meat is missing from the pasta! Had a big order yesterday, the food was so greasy it wasn’t edible. Not a bit of flavour, wouldn’t mind it was so quiet. Won’t be rushing back

I had a gluten free carbonara and it was delicious. Good sized portion as well. i have coeliac disease and i’ve had no reaction. I’ll definitely ordering again

Pasta cosa is propa nice, foods gorjous and really affordable, only thing that lets it down is lack of a toilet in thier but who really cares about that

Italian food cafe ! Excellent . Ideal for quick or leisurely snack outside or take away. Try the Ciabatta pesto chicken and the mozzarella balls. Fab!

Orderer my favourite pasta dish here and was left underwhelmed. The pasta itself was over cooked and the sauce was bland. It was a small portion (a half filled take away box) so I thought good thing I ordered chips but there was no seasoning on them either. Ate it because I was hungry but wouldn't go again

My friends and I enjoyed launch today great service friendly welcoming staff with pasta on par or better than any of the local restaurants. Only problem is I may need to go the gym more after tasting the deserts.

Just been here for a quick bite to eat, the pasta was delicious, I had the calabrese pasta and my partner bocaiola (I hope I spelt that right) we both had a garlic bread with cheese and I have to say the whole meal was delicious. The chef is Sicilian which says it all really. Go there you will not be disappointed, the prices are very reasonable.

OMG the meatball cibatta is to die for along with the bolognese chips if your a meaty fan of course - amazing 😍

First meal ever in Liverpool (flying visit!) and loved it. Was so pleased to find such a great little place, and very reasonable prices. Even happier to discover they do a mini bottle of pinot grigio 🤗

Have had Pasta Cosa at a number of events now and have consistently been impressed by their menus, which go above and beyond the standard sandwich platters for meetings.

I got the gnocchi and pesto, which is pretty hard to mess up, so I knew what I was getting. It was pretty good, but not £4.95 good. If the pasta is made in house then, that's actually pretty good going. If the pasta is made in house then I'd give another star.

Great for lunch, good service nice food

Disappointed! It didn’t came full, not even half of the box as shown on pictures. I had one meatball as it came 4 and it tastes not nice at all (cheap meat with no season) Pasta I doubt its fresh as it’s like a rubber. Didn’t came with not even 1 napkin, salt, pepper, or a small portion of PARMESAN! Came in 11 mins ordered by Deliveroo and that’s why it came so fast. Don’t recommend if you know what a good past it is.

The food is very nice but the portions are extremely small for the price. Even if you add many extras (at a charge) the portions are still small and don't fill half of the boxed packaging. This is definitely not a cheap place to pick up a quick lunch.

Fui allí y me dijeron que cerrarían a las 8 pm, pero que esto no sería un problema. No revisé mi reloj, pero cuando llegó la comida, sentí que todos me apuraban para irme. ¿Entonces tuve que comer rápido y no pude disfrutarlo? El servicio necesitaría mejorar. Pasta fue muy agradable?

Lovely fresh italian food to go!

Came here as on my own and wanted something quick and easy. Felt very happy eating in the small restaurant with very friendly staff. My caprese salad and garlic bread with cheese was delicious, and very good value. Worth a visit.

Don’t usually write bad reviews but we were really excited to try homemade pasta from this place but both meals (bolognese, cream ham, peas &mushroom pasta) were really under seasoned, absolutely without a taste🙁 we are big lovers of Italian food and also go to Italy every year and this was probably the worst bolognese I’ve ever had only the actually pasta was good in both meals.

Fast tasty food, good for lunch

Slightly underwhelmed, service is good and pasta well cooked but it was rather under seasoned and the base of my garlic bread was burnt. I took away and by the time I got to my car there was no point in returning.

La salsa arabiatta era muy suave con muy poco calor, pero tenía un sabor metálico como los tomates enlatados. Los tallarines estaban completamente cubiertos y pegados, y el queso mozzarella no era mozzarella fresca, era la bolsa rallada. Con más de un fiver para una caja de comida para llevar que estaba solo medio llena, también tenía un valor terrible para el dinero. No volveré

Asked for chicken chorizo, had about 3 bites of chicken an 2 tiny bits of chorizo in, and 3.50 for 3 aranchini balls. £9.20 an I’m still hungry, good service terrible portion sizes well over priced

Really really lovely food but can get very busy very quickly and estimations of waiting time are under what reality brings.

Have been several times and while the food is generally good, my two most recent visits have been poor. The first, the pasta was cold. The second I received surprise chicken in my meal, which as a vegetarian wasn't a nice surprise!

Pasta is very small portions and found blonde curly hairs in all my food!

Ho scoperto questo posto delizioso, davvero per caso...e posso dire che la pasta è davvero buonissima. Da italiana ovviamente,sono legata alle origini della carbonara...ma posso assicurarvi che quella che ho mangiato era davvero il TOP ...ottima qualità della pasta e cottura perfetta. Ho provato anche quella del mio fidanzato,semplici spaghetti al pomodoro,ottimi...consiglio questo posto per una pausa pranzo o soprattutto se si ha voglia di mangiare un piatto di pasta buono ed economico.
