The best restaurants serving Italian food in Solihull West Midlands

I was enjoying the company of some friends from India that surprised me with a couple of vegetarian dishes ordered through Directfromchef.com. I follow a mostly plant based diet and sometimes is difficult to find good take-away dishes that are healty without forgoing taste. Well, I must say that the chickpeas were prepared in a very flavourful manner and the lentils, ohh those lentils deserve a special mention as I've never tried such an awesome combination of creaminess and spice. One of the best lentils recipes I've ever tried !!!!

Very nice and authentic place. Really feels like you travelled to Greece for a meal. Atmosphere and service is fantastic and we really enjoyed our food. They do have separate vegetarian and vegan menu so dietary inclusive.

Easy to book. We found the staff really friendly, and the owner made us feel welcome straight away. The food tasted amazing and well presented. The lobster ravioli was delicious and the scallops were cooked to perfection! We will definitely visit again.

Eros is totally unique, an olde worlde building with 2 small staircases leading up, old beams & uneven floors, absolutely beautiful. We had Romeo & Juliet Prosecco whilst we perused the menu, which took a little while as we couldn't decide because everything sounded lovely. In the end, we chose whitebait & feta parcel, kleftico & duck breast, all of which were beautifully presented, generous & delicious. We shared the orange pie as we were full but couldn't resist the dessert as it sounded gorgeous. The service was also very good. I would definitely recommend Eros & look forward to returning. Thank you.

Bread Collection is the go-to place for coffee and bakery in Knowle. Delicious food and a selection of breads and cakes that are difficult to pass without spontaneous purchase!

Not sure what's going on with this restaurant.... In the past it has generally always been very good but afraid we will not be using or recommending it to anyone in the future. Like some other reviews, we made a reservation well in advance for two people for a Saturday night. Turned up at the time booked only to find the place closed. No sign up to say why they may be closed and unable to get any reply from them when you tried to phone, not even a recorded message. They had my mobile but did not even have the courtesy to phone to say they would not be open. We were not the only people on that night to be somewhat surprised. As we arrived, a party of four also arrived to be greeted with the same frustration... Even if they were to change the way they ran their restaurant, they don't deserve the business if they treat their customers in this way. No guarantee of a booking or them even being open would be my worry! There are plenty more good eating places in Knowle - avoid this one and try one of the others.

We love Carluccios in Solihull ! Lovely atmosphere, good food, drink & excellent service from Raluca , Dan , Kinga , Ethan & Emmanuel ! & also thanks to the excellent chefs !

Enjoyed my visit but a delightful lunch was let down by badly made tea. A pot of hot water and a teabag in a separate glass isnt the way to make tea. The teabag needs to be in a pot of boiling water. The water wasnt boiling. I could hold the pit in my hands. I did raise it and the manager agreed with me that she knows how to make tea. So why doesnt she tell the people out back making tea 'the American way'. Please sort it out

Me and my patenter came in last Friday as a friend recommended. Did not disappoint I could honestly say it was the best pasta dish I have ever eaten! We will be retuning frequently. Waitress was also very polite and friendly ☺️

Pedí un croissant relleno de mozzarella y tomate , el croissant estaba sobre cocinado con 2 trozos de tomate duro frío y apenas una pizca de mozzarella; por el precio del mismo 4 . 99 fue impactante, así que sugiero que su gerente / chef revise esta mala elección de relleno y ofrezca mejores ingredientes sustanciales para este plato

Pedí una Marinara (pizza con solo tomate) ya que tengo alergia a los lácteos. Me enviaron una margarita que estaba etiquetada como Marinara en la caja. Llamé al restaurante y acordaron enviar una pizza nueva en 45 minutos. Los llamé después de 1 hora y 20 minutos de espera y no hubo respuesta y fue directo al contestador automático. Muy decepcionado, he estado yendo aquí con mi familia desde la apertura! ¡Ahora se va hambriento como en todas partes!

Tan decepcionante. Fuimos a San Valentín. Reservado con mucha antelación. Llegué a un restaurante muy ocupado . . no tardó mucho en darse cuenta de que había demasiadas reservas y ni de lejos lo suficientemente cerca del personal. 7 en punto reserva y no recibimos nuestra red hasta las 9 . 25 . El personal estaba fuera de sí y lo hizo lo mejor posible dadas las circunstancias, y la comida era deliciosa. En algún momento, el gerente se fue a casa y dejó al personal para tratar con los clientes descontentos. Mal espectáculo del gerente, comportamiento absolutamente impactante en una noche tan ocupada. Bien hecho a chefs y personal por mantener las cosas unidas. ¡Gerente... qué vergüenza!

Me and the partner went here on Friday 21st February and can honestly say this will be the last time we go. We went because my partner is gluten intolerant and they seem to offer a large selection of food without gluten so we decided to give it a try wish we had not bothered as the place was disgusting there was food on chairs next to us dirty glasses on the table that your expected to drink from with food still on them even when new glasses was brought over they was still unclean. The staff need more training around allergies as we watched our waiter pick up a gluten free pizza with her hands to place a pizza cutter on the plate do they not understand regarding cross contamination?

Prezzo and managers Can't stand cheap food over priced for everything I will be not going to any other Prezzo in my life hope they all shut down! Can't call it a restaurant! I will be happy to leave you no star

Es un lugar agradable, pero el servicio y la calidad de la comida es bastante malo que sirvieron pizza severamente quemada y les tomó 40 minutos para servirles el queso era elástico y gomoso y tuvieron la audacia de reírse por las quejas que realmente parecían buenas personas, sin embargo, pero mi experiencia de hoy no fue la mejor, además de ser un grupo con requisitos dietéticos, el servicio estaba por debajo de la par y lento en general, creo que no es un mal lugar y tal vez esta noche simplemente no fue su noche
