Carluccio's - Solihull in Solihull

Nice atmosphere in the restaurant and waitress was very efficient good service. Food was nice however, the quantity / ratio was not right. We ordered : Pappardelle Braised Beef Ragu (702kcal) £16.25 Braised beef slow cooked in red wine, black olives and herbs. Served with Pappardelle pasta. x2 both of the meals had only a tiny amount of beef like literally a sprinkle of beef there was not even a half of a small steaks worth between the two meals. It was stingy so won’t come back for this reason. It is a shame for them as the restaurant was also completely empty but custom is lost when you don’t get what you pay for

We fairly regularly enjoy a brunch here on weekends. The food is very good and well presented. Service can be hit and miss as they rarely seem to have enough staff. A pleasant atmosphere.

Nice enough restaurant, bit noisy (like most modern restaurants no drapes to stop noise bouncing around), friendly helpful staff. Food ok, restricted menu, a few starters, pasta, pizzas, couple of burgers, one steak, and some chicken dishes. Not top notch, the focaccia is poor. Food better elsewhere for the price. Pizzas are good despite the limited choice of toppings.

me and my husband came here on a Friday night. I had the ravioli which was tasteless and just pasta in some water. My husband had the carbonara which was nothing like I had seen a carbonara before. The waitress even said 'I understand' when I said that the ravioli was tasteless so this must be a common complaint. The garlic bread starter was also pretty poor as it was covered in salt. We are not usually ones to complain but in this case we did and we had both meals taken off the total bill.

Love coming here for a quick coffee, staff are always super friendly.

Ate here on 30th December with my partner, I ordered the Carbonara and let me tell you, 1 star doesn't do it justice, flavorless, dry and bland is the only way to sum it up. I didn't even eat it. Gave 3 stars for service as the waiter was very polite, did offer to replace it on two occasions and offered us free desert (which I declined). What brought the service score down was the young man (tall, dark hair) behind the bar leering at my partner at every opportunity he had, we both really didn't appreciate that. Save your money people or dine elsewhere.

We got the pasta, it was okay but really bland. Not worth the price. Even the tea with ‘sweet treats’ was mid - the sweet treats were 3 bites.

Visited New Years Day. Have to say whenever I go here the food is always excellent as is the service. I've tried the Risotto with Mushroom and the Seafood Linguine and both are excellent. Coffees are always well made as are the desserts. As for the service, exceptional. Happy New Year Carluccio's Solihull - big thanks!!

I am being generous giving 3 stars. The place and the old menu used to be great pre-COVID but have gone downhill since then. There's not much choice and some of the dishes are disappointing (steak was tough, carbonara awful).

Great place for a quick meal. Friendly staff who were happy to answer questions about our food choices. We ordered a margherita pizza for my 5 year old niece since the kid's meal seemed far too small for her. Us adults ordered the Seafood linguine and the Ricotta & Spinach Ravioli both decent potions and flavoursome. I'd happily eat here again.

Very overpriced... service was perfect... atmosphire.. well .. there was none unless you did it yourself... food was good... portion size very small (on certain items) glasses could do with an upgrade ... £8.50 for a very small cocktail .. £6 for 2 tiny scoops of icecream.... most meals are overpriced... if your rich.. then this is the place for you... but as a standard member of society... this is way ober priced and not the best...

Meet for breakfast (7 friends) Restaurant clean and tidy and waitress excellent Food was generally good but one person found the pancakes and strawberries a bit bland. We were on a table by the corridor and found it cold and drafty we did raise this with 2 staff members and requested the air con be turned off however nothing was done about this request. This is a shame as it will influence our next venue to meet 🙁.

Met friends for birthday coffee and croissants. Two requests for water were ignored, in fact the first waitress pulled a face when asked and proceeded to ignore.

Our go to place when shopping in Solihull Food always freshly cooked and tasty Staff attentive, and supportive for a good meal experience. Just wish the louder people especially with children would consider others.

Amazing food, we had the set menu food and all was delicious. Starters were bread and dips and garlic foccia, these were delicious. The .ix breads were lovely. My partner for main had penne arrribata and I had mushroom risotto, all were piping hot, full of flavour and tasted amazing. Pudding was a hot chocolate brownie, again full of flavour. The service was amazing, our waitress was wonderful and couldn't do enough for us

The booking did not show on their system but we had an email confirming the booking we had no problems a table for 6 was prepared the service and food was fantastic well done team carluccio

Visita entre semana a la hora del almuerzo y estaba muy ocupado (fin del 50% de descuento en vales de comida) El ruido era horrible, ya que todo el mundo sondea hablando más alto de lo habitual para ser escuchado por encima del ruido. Servicio bueno teniendo en cuenta lo ocupados que estaban, pero una de las comidas faltaba, pero rápidamente rectificado. Generalmente, la comida excelente aunque no la más grande de las porciones y nada acompañó a la lasaña que se veía bastante triste en el plato en el plato. La próxima vez que visitemos elegiremos un horario y opciones diferentes del menú.

We just visited this restaurant to celebrate my dad’s birthday, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience from start to finish. Despite there only being four tables occupied in the entire restaurant, the service was slow and disorganized. We waited 10 minutes just for our drinks. When our food finally started to arrive, only part of it came. The waiter assured us that the rest of our order would be out in “just five minutes,” but it never arrived. Frustrated and disappointed, we decided to ask for the bill and leave. Now I understand why the restaurant was so empty. I’m only giving one star because it won’t let me rate it any lower. Would not recommend if you’re looking for attentive service or a good dining experience.

Beautiful and quiet atmosphere. Staff spot on with there pleasant and friendly. Food was excellent 25 years menu which was very enjoyable and cook to standard.

Pensé que valía la pena darle otra oportunidad, especialmente porque Tastecard da un 25% de descuento en la factura total, y solía ser muy bueno. Tristemente no hay mariscos disponibles, lo que descartó la mitad del menú. La elección restante es limitada. Éramos parte de 4 y camarera grabó mal principal para uno de nuestra fiesta, así que tenía que empezar de nuevo con esto y el resto de nosotros había terminado para cuando llegó - y era horrible, y el resto de las comidas mediocre en el mejor de los casos. Pasarán al menos otros 12 meses antes de que lo intentemos de nuevo. Lo mejor fue 5 ge 25% de descuento.

Anoche yo y mi pareja asistimos a su restaurante en Solihull, para mí era la 1 hora de la calle, tengo que decir lo encantadores que eran todos, la señora en la puerta supongo que era el gerente era tan servicial, nos ofreció una opción de mesa que es agradable, nuestro camarero (lo siento mucho no me dieron su nombre) era tan amable y no demasiado atento. La comida era excelente. Tenía el entrante del menú de celebración y principal mi compañero tenía el entrante de gambas y milanesas de pollo del menú principal. El ambiente era ambiente. En general tuvimos una noche muy agradable. Gracias a su equipo.

I have had a birthday celebration with my family in October. The lady provided excellent services. The food is amazing and all the settings were perfect. We enjoyed a lot on the date. Carluccio's is our favorite restaurant in Solihull and we must go again soon.

Accommodate without a booking, Thank You to the manager. Jessica was our host, when questioned dishes of the menu Jessica was fabulous and explain the menu thoroughly without hesitation. Made us feel at ease. Very attentive to our table; as we had a show booked at the core theatre, Jessica made sure we got there in time. Food was great, dessert was lush, cocktails were fresh and lovely atmosphere. Wish they would add Cannoli on the dessert list 🙄

No longer what it used to be, what a pity…

Carluccio is always on the high end of the range of Italian restaurants in the UK. However, their offer is not fully and truly "Italian", there is a lot of contamination of the original recipes

I ordered a pasta carbonara, terrible! Pancetta very fatty and quality very poor. Very dissapointed about the food. I had been sick since I had this food there.

Pizza came within time slot and was the perfect temperature. We usually eat in Carluccio’s Solihull but the 50% offer was too good to miss. Well done to Just Eat and Carluccio’s for excellent service.

We had a booking here this evening 25/08/24 for a hen party of 10 of is ladies,from start to finsh the service was amazing.Our waitress Jess was so lovely and the manger of the restaurant was also lovely they acommadated us in allowing is to decorate putting up balloons etc would highly recommend carluccos the food was absolutely beautiful thank.you so much for a lovely evening see you soon

We have been to Carluccio’s (Solihull) on a number of occasions & have quite enjoyed the experience. Today however was a bitter disappointment all round. I appreciate it was a fairly busy lunch time but two drinks took 20 to 25 minutes to arrive. We ordered olives & selection of breads as starters to share…the bread arrived before the drinks & the olives way after the drinks just prior to the main course. The real disappointment was the total blandness of both main meals…Carbonara & Chicken Saltimboca. I’m afraid there is no excuse for the Carbonara, literally the poorest I’ve ever had from any establishment anywhere in the world & there was no Parma ham with the Saltimboca. The service I can accept as the three waitresses were run off their feet but I can’t excuse the food.

Visited for a quick lunch while in the area… service was slow and food arrived before any drinks did and was only half full at best… the food was good though and the team where friendly, only down fall was it was very slow and the service was glitchy. Would revisit as is a great site and location and quality food for a branded restaurant.

I visited Carluccio's Cambridge this afternoon with friends, excited to indulge in some Italian cuisine. Unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations. We ordered four different dishes, and I specifically chose the Rigatoni Piccante. To my disappointment, the pasta was undercooked—hard and firm instead of the al dente texture I anticipated. When I approached the staff to address my concern, a lady working there responded rather dismissively, stating, "Do you know this is Italian food? It’s cooked this way." I was taken aback by her remark but chose to remain polite to keep the atmosphere enjoyable for my friends. I've dined at numerous Italian restaurants before and understand that pasta can vary in preparation, but this was not acceptable. After I informed the waiter about the issue, he assured me it would be sorted out quickly. However, it took 13 minutes for my Rigatoni Piccante to arrive—by which time my friends had already finished their meals. I felt embarrassed as they had to wait for me, and I rushed through my dish without truly enjoying it. To make matters worse, my friends expressed dissatisfaction with their meals as well, citing issues with both quality and taste. It was disappointing to leave Carluccio's feeling unsatisfied and frustrated. Overall, while the ambiance is pleasant, the food quality and service need significant improvement. I hope they can address these issues, as I would love to see this restaurant thrive. Unfortunately, I won't be returning anytime soon.

Visited Carluccios while shopping in Solihull. Good service, nice menu with range of choices including vegetarians. Delicious food.

We visit Carluccios every time we have a special occasion. My son's friend came to visit out of town and so we decided to take him out to show off Solihull...and Carluccios was our choice. Tommy the chef made our food, and it was delicious. Dan the waiter always serves us with a smile and he is also very helpful, assisting in making the right choices for our meal. My decaf coffee ,wow it was great. Carluccios never fails to impress. Thank you for making our get togethers so special.

Terrible service and poor food at lunchtime today. It began with the waiter asking us if we wanted our starters first!! That should have rung a warning bell because it went downhill from there! The starters weren’t great - the lardons were so hard they couldn’t be eaten. We had to chase up drinks. After chasing twice our mains arrived after one & a half hours. Two were awful. Two ok. After two and a half hours we decided not to have a desert or coffee. A really bad experience and very disappointing

I wish to share my disappointment with this restaurant, I had decided to purchase a gift card for my son and daughter in laws 10th anniversary as I had heard good reviews about the food However after going to purchase one at Solihull, I was told by a member of staff that they had no gift cards, no apology no alternative offered, I was about to spend £100 with yourselves! I promptly went next door to Cote and received a gift card and excellent customer service.

Nothing special. 'Special Offer' was a rip off. Mushroom soup didnt taste homemade but like the Covent garden soup from supermarket. Chicken was dry and overcooked. Tiramisu was bought in & not made. I might as well have just done the shopping at Sainsburys at half the price. They overcharged by £4. Ill never go there again. Nothing special, nothing good.

the service at Carluccios was excellent, particularly our waiter who was friendly, helpful and efficient. there is a fixed-price menu which, although choice compared with the a la carte menu is limited, was delicious and great value for money. we shall definitely visit again.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon, after lunch rush. It wasn't busy. Waiter forgot to put our drinks order through and we waited about 15mins before our food order was taken. Then we waited another 45mins for it to arrive. Not really sure why as it wasn't busy. We were offered additional dessert to compensate which was nice. Just didn't feel like we had eaten a meal after leaving. Had risotto and the seafood pasta. Tasted delicious but the portion was so small. Dessert was delicious.

My Daughter and I had a lovely meal here. They did not have my my Daughter wanted on the menu, however, they made her what she wanted. The vibe in here was great, a real good atmosphere with lovely staff. Will return!

Food was reasonable but not excellent. It was disappointing that I ordered a lime and soda and ended up with a bottle of San Pelegrino instead. This was not clearly explained to me until I asked a different waiter.

Eaterie with modern decor that has a lovely atmosphere. Lots of people chatting. Kitchen open. You can see the chefs cooking. Food is delicious. Great breakfasts and brunch menu. Eggs. Bacon and mushrooms with spinach... Smoked salmon ...choice of Italian and continental evening menu. Good choice of wine. Service excellent. April 2024. Had delicious lunch.. Confirm duck, green beans and saute potatoes... Pudding.. Lemoncello tart with raspberry sorbet. Was divine. Great service too. Go there!

We today (Sunday 31st March) dined at Carluccio's and was thoroughly impressed with the excellent service and food quality. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, especially when we mentioned we were heading to a concert at the NEC. They even sang happy birthday to me in both English and Italian, making my birthday celebration extra special. The prompt service ensured we were able to enjoy our meal without feeling rushed. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and I will definitely be returning to Carluccio's in the future. Grazie mille for a memorable evening!

We eat lunch at Carluccio's Solihull every week. The service is excellent, especially when Dan looks after us, which is nearly always. He is extremely helpful and suggests alternatives if we are not sure about a side or a dish. We look forward to eating at Carluccios, the staff are very friendly and we have a lovely time.

Went to Carluccio's today for lunch for our wedding anniversary. We ordered from the set menu which saved us almost £20 and the food was exquisite! It was busy but service was still very quick, our food came out fast and fresh. There was a lovely atmosphere and we liked the open kitchen. We would definitely return again to try out other dishes.

Not great. Chicken Saltembocca very dry, plate full of grease. My friends lasagna was cold. Dissapointed😒 . Not the birthday treat i expected. Luckily my friends were good company. Not for me.

Excellent chocolate and Nutella cheesecake. The atmosphere is great. Service prompt to answer any questions and suggest best options for your need. Location is very good in the middle of the high street. Will visit again to taste food too.

Came here on 17/04, had a really lovely time! The staff were really accommodating, especially our waiter Ethan who was always checking up on us throughout the meal, and was very funny too! Food was really beautiful as well. I had the Arancini (pictured) and the Ravioli di Mare and both were gorgeous. I would say that it is on the pricier side, but justifiable because of the quality of the food. Will definitely return in the future.

Is it really so.difficult to cook a steak? My son ordered a rib eye, medium rare. The first attempt was cold and very bloodied, the second would have made a fine sole for a shoe. Certainly not the standard we expect at Carluccio's .

Received some absolutely delicious pastries and bread from Daniel. The donuts are something else they give Crispy Cremes run for the money light yummy yummy and so flavour full keep up the good work. Your breads are so soft to the squeeze and delightful toasted or just buttered. I give you a double thumbs up and a double high five. You got some mouth watering baking going on keep it up.
