The best restaurants serving Italian food in South East

We were looking to find a lunch venue to celebrate our 58th wedding anniversary. What a find ! We had an apertive first We both ordered sea bass which arrived promptly beautifully presented with accompanying vegetables. We also had a glass of wine each. For desert we shared ice cream as our appetites no longer allow more. The ambience was fantastic and the restaurant almost full on what was a misty cold November Wednesday. Clearly this restaurant is very popular with many repeat customers. Their prices are very exceptable for top quality food and outstanding service. Well done all. We will be back.

Visited on a Friday for an evening meal. Authentic food cooked well. The staff.were welcoming and friendly. I would certainly recommend La Tavenetta.

We were very happy to stumble across this restaurant. We were in Brighton for a birthday party and wanted to have something small before we went. We were sat just before 7pm, really glad to get a table. The staff are really friendly and smiley. We order a large antipasta and some drinks. Service was quick and food was really good. When we are back in Brighton will visit and have a full meal here.

First time eating here and it was really good. Nice atmosphere and our waitress was great. We will be back.

Osso buco in Weybridge is a hidden gem! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food was absolutely outstanding, with the Osso Buco being the star of the show. It was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience in Weybridge, Osso buco is the place to go!

Tasty food, calm atmosphere during the lunchtime

This is a great restaurant and offers delicious authentic Italian food. The pizzas especially are very delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful as well. The ambiance of the place is also really nice. They have different varieties of chips which very tasty too.

Me and my wife used to be fairly regular patrons here and then weren't able to go as much, but we managed to go this month for the first time in a long time. Still some of the best food I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Great service too from start to finish. Truthfully, this would have been a 5 star review but the menu has had so much removed from it and personally I know found it slightly limited. But what they do have is the best Italian food around.

This is by far the best Italian restaurant in the area. The service, food and atmosphere are second to none. I MUST recommend the Prawn starter I have never tasted anything so good in my life. I cannot recommend this place high enough

We made a last minute decision to eat out rather than at the hotel we were staying at. La Sorrentina were able to accommodate us at short notice. Best decision we made, the service was amazing and the food was outstanding. Thank you for saving our weekend away! Lovely restaurant with a friendly team and incredible food reasonably priced, couldn't have asked for more. You deserve all the stars!

First to arrive for an early pre-concert meal, so lacked atmosphere until other diners arrived. Didn't look open so needs work on lighting, but the food is outstanding. The Chef/patron took our order and then cooked it to our exact requirements, quite happy to substitute items in the Carbonara--mushrooms and courgette for Pancetta-, and gluten-free pasta for my wife. Substantial portions with surprisingly generous amounts of prawns and monkfish in the linguine. Just needs a little tweak with the presentation and the decor.as the food is very good indeed.
