The best restaurants serving Italian food in South East

I visited Amici yesterday afternoon with some friends after being let down by another restaurant, and I just want to extend my thanks to one of the waitresses, Eva. As well as being super friendly and great with recommendations, she also went far above and beyond her role. Unfortunately, I became quite unwell during the meal, and she and my two friends took excellent care of me throughout what was quite a scary time for me and all of us. Eva, you are an absolute star and Amici is lucky to have you. ✨

We visited this restaurant for dinner and, while the pizzas were delicious, the service left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, our experience was spoiled by a lack of basic customer care. When I requested a small change to my vegetarian pizza — swapping courgette for chillies — the waitress responded quite abruptly, saying, “You know you have to pay for that?!” It wasn’t about the extra cost, but the tone and attitude made us feel unwelcome. A polite explanation would have gone a long way, but instead, we were met with rudeness. Good food can’t make up for poor service, and sadly, this interaction overshadowed our evening. We chose not to leave a tip and won’t be returning or ordering takeout in the future. Disappointing experience overall and considering we don’t normally leave reviews we felt like we had to.

Honestly one of the best meals I’ve had for a long time everything authentically made in-house absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to go back. Coming from a peaky Chef who’s never satisfied this really was fantastic

We had a really large group booking here recently and it went amazingly, we had someone in the group who is vegan and the head chef specifically helped them work out what they could eat and what they can alter for their dietary requirements. We were having a birthday party and any questions leading up to and the day of they helped us out through the whole process, it was a great time and well definitely be back!

My wife and I were staying in Newbury for a few days last October. Looking for a place the eat nearby our hotel we found this restaurant Valle D'oro. The owners were warm and welcoming, the menu was amazing and the food was sublime! Carmen is so lovely and friendly, food is generous and freshly cooked and nothing is too much trouble. This makes dining a pleasure! So much that we went back the next day, and the next. I myself do not like pasta that much but there is plenty to choose from in the menu. Best restaurant in Newbury by far.

Delightful, friendly service. Amazing pizzas!!!! And good value. Well worth a visit.

Had a lovely meal complimented by a very nice Sardinian wine. Will definitely be back.

Yet another gorgeous meal at Padellas. I have eaten here several times over the years and have always had a fantastic meal. The food is always cooked to perfection and the specials board always offers seasonal dishes that are outstanding. The Staff are polite and friendly and make you feel welcome.

Just left Ruzzo on Saturday night. Amazing food, super staff and top lady chef who high fives you when you say thank you. Superb all round, thanks far a great night x

We love this little gem, right in the middle of Sevenoaks. A good, varied menu, excellent service and great coffee and reasonably priced.

Lovely restaurant in Denham. Everything was perfect, the atmosphere, staff and food. Great choices of food but we stuck to the Sunday menu. Will be visiting again in June for a birthday party when we hope the family and children will have a wonderful time.

This is pur second visit since this fantastic place has re started its BYO Friday and Saturday Evening Resteraunt again. Food is super fresh! Pizzas are incredible! Excellent value 2 or 3 course fixed price options across the menu. Ambiance great, front of house excellent. What can I say, just get back down to those who used to go to the Evening Resteraunt BYO and to those who haven't been yet, try it! We will be back again very soon.

Highly recommend, great fresh pizza cooked in front of you and ready in 5 minutes. Great selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Atmosphere was great with the back drop of music, whilst we played games and enjoyed the food. Darts as well was a bonus
