I go there whenever I go to Oxford its not on the main road but I find it near the bus station. Its independent I like independent ones. It was rather quiet when we went on our way to the Kafka Exhibition no croissants but a few little pastries.

We stopped in for lunch and sat on their patio. It was very comfortable. On the less pleasant days there is ample seating indoors. Their menu has all the Italian favourites to satisfy your desires. We settled for two simple dishes: bruschetta & a burrata salad. Both were fresh, flavourful & well presented. Service was polite & helpful. This is a good choice foir sustenance while touring the city.

Had a fantastic time at Bbuona! Opted to sit outside during the visit as weather wasn't too bad but it was very busy. It had a pleasant lively atmosphere. Ordered food and didn't take long before it came. I was thrilled by the portion sizes and tasted amazing. Would highly recommend and I will definitely be returning again soon.

While the pizza crust was thin and tasty, there was a lot of oil on the cheese and too heavy for our liking. The desserts were middle of the road.

Really not impressed by their approach to service charges. I did not see any indication on the menu that there was a service charge. It was not mentioned verbally and there is a small notice near the till which you are extremely unlikely to notice before paying. I was not provided with a receipt. Only a few minutes after paying did I realise the discrepancy between listed price and what I paid. When questioned, they said that the additional cost was a service charge. How can they possibly claim that a service charge is optional when you are not even told you are paying it and are not provided with a receipt or a bill? If you need to increase your prices that's fine, but I really dislike the opaque approach taken here. The food was good but the borderline deceptive practice left me with a sour taste.

The waiters were very kind and attentive, and the 5 Formaggi was absolutely delicious.

Fantastic pinsa! The twice baked crust is just epic. The staff were all incredibly engaging and clearly love working and being there. Totally recommend. Had a great chat with owner Andi. Only suggestion I have is to use a bit more seasoning but either way it’s an 11/10!!!

BBuona is a highly rated pizza restaurant in Oxford. It is certainly different from Your average chain pizza restaurant. Boasting an authentic and original sour dough pizza recipe. I am a fan of think crust pizza whereas this is very much a deep crust affair. It’s not to say that it was not tasty and many people will rave about it authenticity. Is it the best Pizza restaurant in Oxford? For me no. However it does have quality ingredients and worth a visit.

Everything was amazing. Keep up the hard work, you made up my evening!! The pizza was fantastic, and the cannoli... I never had such a good one since I was in Italy. 👏👏 10/10

Picked it on the basis of the reviews and it did not disappoint. I've eaten pizza from Naples to Milan and this was exceptional. Of course the dough was brilliant but the thought about the toppings needs to be celebrated too. Only downside was that I was too full to try their tiramisu 😢 Staff and service were both great despite it being surprisingly busy for a Monday night.

We had a really lovely evening meal here last night - felt like we could have been in Italy! We had a great gluten free pizza, delicious Roman style base, and a parmigiana melanzane. The staff were friendly and service was really quick! Would recommend!

Great little spot with a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Service was excellent, but with a quite noticeable language barrier. nonetheless the server was still very attentive and caring The Margherita pizza was, and in no word of a lie, the best pizza I’ve personally ever, EVER had. Just everything about it was lip-smackingly good, moreish even. Some may say it’s just “bread and cheese”, which it is, but if you take into consideration the ingredients and the pure quality that’s put into dish, you most certainly wouldn’t be saying that then. But anyway, i digress. I would highly, highly recommend this place without a shadow of doubt. And i would strongly encourage you to try other dishes off the menu. All rounder 5/5

Thank you for your welcome ! At our late arrival (only 1 hour before closing), we had just been ignored in a traditional and yet renowned Oxford pub and were starving : the Bbuona team (especially the super chief !) saved our 1st night in this stunning universities city ! We discovered the Pinsa and keep a lovely memory of this dinner :)

Great food, as well as service. The place is very welcoming and the portion of food is great. The staff were also very nice and polite one being called Kevin. I really recommend this place to come and dine.

This place is amazing! Some of the best pizza/pinsa I have ever had. Great atmosphere and pizza in 5-10 mins. Absolutely love it! Will be back regularly 😀 I have had to amend my rating after finding out they add a service charge to every order. This is not communicated to you when ordering and you are not given a receipt. It is stated in small writing at the bottom of the menu but this is hard to spot. I don't think this is fair and should be changed!

I recommend the Margherita Di Bufala, it's delicious! We also really enjoyed the tiramisu, and appreciated the friendly and fast service.

The location, atmosphere, and service here are top-notch. The outdoor seating is perfect for sunny days, and the staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. However, during my recent visit with two Italian friends, the food fell short of expectations. While the starter was impressive, the pasta was disappointing and didn’t meet even average standards. We ended up leaving most of our meal untouched. It’s unfortunate that the food didn’t match the high quality of the rest of the restaurant experience.

We've been to Oxford many times but today we found this amazing gem of an Italian restaurant ! Pinsa was amazing and staff was very friendly and welcoming and for our time here it was as though we were in Italy ! Thanks to Matteo and we will be back soon!

Bbuona is best pizza in Oxford served by fantastic people. They are super kind, and provide a wonderfully authentic atmosphere.

Note: kitchen doesn't open till noon; only coffee and pastries before then. Great coffee, delicious pizza (had the salame which was amazing) and salad. Really enjoyed this place. Excellent service.

Absolutely delicious, the pizza and starter we had were fresh and full of flavour, and the tiramisu was an absolute treat. All the staff were really friendly and welcoming. We will definitely come back!

It's a pleasant place to eat, especially on the outside tables, food and drinks come fast. We had several pinsa and they were all delicious, with a light and crispy base.

We had a wonderful meal and evening with Diego as our server. He made sure our food and seating was perfect.

We have had several meals at Bbuona and have always enjoyed them. We have tried several different Pizza toppings all of which have been very appetising and we normally have a Side Salad which provides a healthy side dish. We have always been made welcome by the Staff, particularly Chiare who we have spoken with several times. We have also enjoyed " the little lobster " pastries with coffee.

We stumbled upon this place quite by chance while exploring the city, had fantastic pizzas ( really good dough and some new variations and combinations of toppings ) and authentic sicilian cannoli. The food was spot on, the atmosphere was very welcoming and the service was just beyond all our expectations. It was 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 children plus our dog Wednesday and we all loved it. Georgia, who was waiting on our table and her colleagues were exceptional and made it the experience we will remember from our time spent in Oxford. Fantastic overall and we all would definitely recommend.

My experience at BBUONA PINSA BAR was extremely positive. I was there with my family, and the place welcomed us with a warm atmosphere and very friendly staff. Throughout the evening, we were primarily served by Diogo, the Portuguese waiter, who was very professional and attentive, offering useful recommendations and ensuring everything was perfect. I also had the pleasure of speaking with Chiara, the Italian waitress, who was very kind and accommodating, adding a personal touch to our experience. I ordered a Margherita pinsa with burrata, and I can say it was a real delight. The dough was soft and fluffy, with a light crispiness on the outside that provided a nice contrast. The fresh tomatoes and mozzarella were of excellent quality and combined perfectly, while the burrata added a creaminess that made each bite delicious. After the meal, following Diogo’s suggestion, we decided to try the Italian coffee, and I must say it was an excellent recommendation. The coffee was outstanding, rich and full-flavored—a perfect conclusion to an already extraordinary meal. BBUONA PINSA BAR is a place I highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy authentic, high-quality pinsa, accompanied by impeccable service and hospitality that makes you feel at home.

We were struggling to find somewhere to eat in the city centre. We stumbled across Bbuona and Giorgia really made us feel welcome and relaxed. The food was great and the kids got gratis ice cream and a biscuit. Would definitely recommend.

This place is fantastic! Gluten free options that you can’t even tell are gluten free. Pinsa instead of pizza is definitely the way to go. If you have the pleasure of being served by Giorgia, you are in for a treat. What a fabulous find this was!

I have lived in Oxford for 4 years and Bbuona was one of the first places I came to when I got here. The pinsas really are more digestible than other pizzas and the dough is lovely and fluffy. I thought it would be bready when I first saw it, but I actually like them a lot more than the thin Neapolitan-style pizzas. The toppings are always generous and there's a very wide range of pinsas you can get, and they're all quite affordable as well. The desserts (tiramisu, gelato) breakfasts (Italian pastries) and lunches (ciabattas) are also all very delicious. I am not into coffee, but my partner is a coffee snob and says they're very good. The service has always been wonderful (always kind and happy to help but never suffocating or overattentive). The atmosphere inside and outside in the summer is great, my only complaint is sometimes the music inside is a bit too loud and so it can get a bit shouty. I think this place is suitable for everyone. I bring my friends, my family, my in-laws, and my tutors here. The menu is very suitable for children and the waiters and waitresses are always kind to them. One last thing - they used to have Bona brand lemonade and aranciata but now they only have San Pellegrino... please bring the Bona back! I am leaving Oxford soon and I will miss Bbuona very much.

We always come here when we want lunch with the kids in Oxford. The pizza is delicious and the kids love the kids menu which is Margarita and ice cream. It's really kid friendly.

We ate outside for dinner. The pizza was delicious, and the service was very good and accommodating! The people at the table next to us said they ate there every day they were in Oxford, and we could see why!

I have Celiac and felt very comfortable eating here. The food was outstanding! You wouldn’t know that the pizza was gluten-free! The gf chocolate hazelnut cake of the day was also very delicious. The staff were amazing and extremely helpful, especially Georgia, the lovely young woman taking our order at the counter. She helped me navigate the gf options as well as checking in several times. Matteo was our server was also very gracious and attentive. Thank you for a wonderful experience!! I highly recommend eating here!!

Great Italian food, both internal and external eating and a great place to watch the world go by. External seating is more comfortable than the internal, and you need to order at the counter inside. The staff were friendly and efficient. I recommend it.

Lovely and friendly and very authentic Italian restaurant/ cafe bar, we had a really fun time celebrating our friend’s 60th with 8 of us - all delicious food including their very tasty sourdough pinsa pizzas with plenty to drink and eat all at great value prices served by their lovely staff - fully recommended!

Turned up with a big group of adults, teenagers and children having booked and were hosted brilliantly and enjoyed a lovely meal. Pizzas were delicious.

While looking for a place to eat we changed course once the fragrand pizza smells from BBuona reached us. We weren't disapointed. The Pizza were fantastic, simple tasty ingredients, and flavours complementing each other ! The staff was fantastic, despite being extremely busy, all were extremely polite, kind and lovely to talk to. Absolutely recommend !!!

Visited for the first time recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. We sat outside under the canopy, I had the lasagne and my wife had the pizza. It was lovely. Highly recommended.

Having been once before with friends, I couldn’t wait to take my husband to Bbuona to experience possibly the best pizza I have eaten since I last visited Italy 20 years ago! And it did not disappoint! Both our pizzas were spot on, value for money and delicious! I also have to mention that Chiara went above and beyond, from her warm welcome when we entered, to her attention to detail, not only with us but every table she dealt with! She is a true asset to your business. Bravo 👏🏻 Bbuona will definitely be on our favorite list and can’t wait to try their new pasta restaurant next door.

Pinsa parmigiana really bad, the aubergines in parmigia cannot be in oil or vinegar. That Bbuona, instead good.

This restaurant offers by far the best pinsa in the UK. The high rating on Google Maps and Tripadvisor is therefore justified. There are deductions for the space available. The restaurant is overcrowded at lunchtime and evening. The tables are a little small for me and close together. The restaurant is located in the center, exactly between two weekend markets. Highly recommended to satisfy your hunger with a delicious meal without having to walk far from the center.

We love BBuona. Easily one of the best pizzas (Pinsa) we‘ve had! Crunchy, delicious high-quality ingredients, good wine and beer. Simple style and easygoing atmosphere, tables outside (great in summer; during winter it gets quite tight, crowded and warm), kids very welcome, great and super nice staff! Highly recommend.

I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough! It's incredible, the best pizza I've had outside of Italy... It might even beat some of the pizza places we tried in Italy. We had the Bbuona and Romana pinsas. They were both delicious but the simplicity of the Romana made it my favourite. The tiramisu is to die for, as a great lover of tiramisu I only wish I could have it more frequently. We had the Nero D'avola wine, it's a delicious dry red. Matteo was a delightful host and we can't wait to come back again soon hopefully 🤞

I don’t know if I will be able to find the right words to describe how wonderful this place is. It’s not even about the delicious food that I had opportunity to try, but the bunch of lovely people dedicated to their work. During my 3 week stay in Oxford I came back to this place as many times as I could. Each time I was welcomed with smiles on their faces and warming words, and they will always make sure that everything I was served is made properly. I’d also love to say thank you to all amazing people I met there, especially Georgia, Genti, Kevin and Alex who made my day better every time I went there and who I wish the best luck. In fact it’s the only place I will miss after leaving Oxford and I hope I will be able to have the best dinner ever once again. I will strongly recommend this place to everybody :))

I love Bbuona! I have been many times with friends and family and enjoyed every visit. The food (shout out to their veggie options) and atmosphere really stand out. It’s a very authentic and lively spot and I always come away full up on great food and very happy!

Pizzas were great. Roman style. Loved the doughy base! Enjoyed the carbonara pizza. Salami pizza could have done with more salami. Tables were quite cramped together. Toilet very busy.

Great pizza but terrible music inside (modern rap/pop with auto tuned vocals annoying drum machines). I would recommend taking a table outside but some of the staff vape there. No changing table for babies.
