Oregano Pizzeria in Worthing

Have been meaning to go for a long time . We went last night before a concert at the Pier opposite. Both pizzas were excellent all freshly made with the best ingredients. Both agreed best we’ve had for a long time table next to us we’re saying the same thing. Lovely friendly service and great value . A hidden gem.

We went yesterday & had really tasty fresh cooked pizza . The staff were great & it has a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend, it’s hidden behind the bus shelter , worth going to . Lots of scrummy pizza to choose from with loads of veggie , vegan & gluten free options. We will be back

Absolutely delicious and tasty pizzas with freshest ingredients. My only grumble is they don't seem to be on Just Eat any longer and when they were their Tiramisu which is to die for was always unavailable. Please come back, we only eat your pizza's, nothing else compares!

How this restaurant managed to be almost empty on a busy sunny Sunday lunchtime is mystifying. It is a bit easy to walk past, rather dominated by restaurants on each side but boy, people don't know wat they are missing. I had heard lots about how good this restaurant was and long wanted to go there. We decided to go for a pre-birthday lunchtime treat. It was amazing on 13th November that we were able to eat outside but we did in bright sunshine. There is an immediate friendliness here and the menus are bound in wood to prevent them taking off in the wind. There is Italian beer on tap and in bottle as well as cider and reasonably priced wine. The pizzas are priced from £10.95 but most are £11.95. They aren't the 'Usuals' but quite different and more interesting. Also there is a separate vegan menu. The pizzas are cooked fresh to order in an oven in the restaurant. I had 'The Italian Job' which majored on Prosciutto, lots of it and was fabulous value. My wife had a spicy sausage and pepper one. Interestingly the pizzas aren't quite circular but a really filling meal. We moved inside for dessert as it was starting to get chilly. The chocolate torte made with Belgian chocolate and coconut with raspberry. It was pure rich luxury leaving long lasting after taste long after we left the restaurant. The only slight thing that jarred was that the friendly efficient server rather spoiled things after presenting us with the very reasonable bill announced the amount to the restaurant. Luckily there was only one person there who probably wasn't listening anyway. I don't whether she thought that because I had grey hair I couldn't understand the bill but I felt it was a little inappropriate. Perhaps she was young and not so experienced. However this was a minor thing. It was great pizza and Oregano deserves more customers.

We popped back to this place very early one Saturday after skipping lunch. It’s simply wonderful. It’s not often that you have a pizza 🍕 and come away feeling you’ve just had a really healthy meal, but you do here. We started with the artichoke bread, with a side of vegan feta cheese and olives. For main we had the Autumn Pizza which was the special and the Apple & Pecan salad 🥗 plus the seedy slaw. Both were wonderful. The house red was a merlot and disappeared. 🍷 The staff are so friendly and our dog was welcomed with a drink of water and treats. We had to drag her home in the end!!

Friday night in October, watched an early evening film at the Dome Cinema and wanted to have a drink and a snack/some nibbles afterwards. It was around 8pm when the film finished and those several bars/eateries in the stretch alongside the cinema were all busy. We ended up going into one and ordered drinks but iit was so noisy, the music in particular was so loud, we couldn't even have a conversation. So we left there and walked back along the same stretch of road, and went into another place, but all they could offer with our drinks were crisps or peanuts. We had walked past Oregano several times. It is slightly set back from the road, narrower and not so visible as the other places. Also it was empty and on a Friday night,. When everywhere is packed, you do wonder why? Also we weren't after a full meal, just something to go with our drinks. However, In the end we ventured in and from the moment we did we knew we'd chosen the right place... from the vibrant colourful decor and friendly staff, to the comfy chairs, rustic tables ... it all just felt so relaxed and welcoming. We ordered a beer and a glass of house red (which was delicious by the way), and then a dish of olives, a parmesan and rocket salad and on the spur of the moment we decided to share a pizza. Everything was so delicious and packed with flavour, I honestly wish I'd been hungrier. We planned to just have nibbles with our drinks but instead were treated to some of the tastiest food I've had in ages. How a bowl of olives and a salad can be laden with so much flavour I don't know, but they were. The salad didn't just have red peppers, but marinated red peppers. It didn't just have tomatoes but the most intensely flavoured sun dried tomatoes, with rocket leaves and generous shavings of fresh parmesan not to mention a truly delicious dressing. On the table were lots of condiments as standard - pepper mill, sea salt, garlic oil, chilli oil etc. you didn't have to ask for anything. Then there was the pizza. I have a favourite pizzeria in Worthing that I go to regularly, but, dare I say it, this one was just as good, even better. Great music but not so loud it stopped you having a conversation, wonderful rustic, colourful decor as already mentioned. Friendly welcoming staff and most important of all, great food. And the bill, with drinks came to just £32. How this place was empty on a Friday night I have no idea. And not forgetting the location. It is literally on the seafront, just cross the road and there's the sea. It's been years since I've written a review on here, but tonight I knew I had to come on and give this place a plug. There's nothing fancy about it, but if you like great pizza and wine, a cozy, informal atmosphere and a really warm welcome then you won't go far wrong with Oregano.

This little pizzeria tucked away on the corner of Worthing seafront is an absolute delight. I’ve been back three times now and ok, it always takes longer than they say to make but when you get it it’s nothing short of fabulous. The high quality and fresh ingredients make every mouthful worth it. We don’t bother to sit in.. just grab a deckchair by the pier, open a can of G&T and watch the sun go down. Perfecto 😊

First time here on a gorgeous sunny Friday afternoon all the way from New Zealand. A friendly greeting on arrival knowledgeable and attentive. The smell of divine pizzas from the kitchen brought me in. A good selection of pizzas + beers and vino. Music choice good too! Nice outdoor area to watch the world go by and see the sea. A must for any occasion to be honest! Rustic and authentic not pretentious love that. The loaded potatoes are a must (vegan + vegetarian available) so creative and tantalising- top that with a glass of Chenin Blanc and you’ll be in Heaven! Love that dogs are welcome too. It’s where the cosmopolitan beautiful people hang out. Kia Ora to the team! Cheers!

Have been here twice now the pizza is amazing certainly not shy with the toppings, Carne Love is packed with toppings. Friendly staff an overall great little place to go. Highly recommended.

We went in here latish on a Friday evening, thinking we wouldn’t get served. Actually, the staff couldn’t have been more friendly. We had amazing starters of garlic bread and loaded potatoes. They’ve got a really great vegan menu - I had vegan and bf had meat. Both amazing. We’ll definitely come here again.

Lovely food made fresh. This business is churning out amazing pizza with such interesting toppings it’s just great. Make sure you buy their slaw or apple salad to go with it it…as a full fledged carnivore they are both out-standing. I wish them well.

Unpretentious dog friendly restaurant with loads of vegan pizza options. All cooked fresh so sometimes takes a while. Also try the German lager and freshly chopped coleslaw. Places like this are real gems. They also provide doggy bags and pizza tasted great again next day...

I'm a pizza obsessive. I've worked with pizza here and abroad. Bottom line is, this place gets it right. the taste, the base, the sauce. you won't find better pizza in Worthing.

Lovely range of vegan and vegetarian pizzas, we tried 4 different pizzas and the garlic bread. Everyone enjoyed their choice. The tofu nut is amazing and I cant wait to go back again to try the other options.
