The best restaurants serving Italian food in New Forest South East

It might look like a cafe on the outside (if you can find it), but there’s a proper restaurant with a proper kitchen on the inside. A small but varied menu, good portions and tasty. The chef was out among the guests, taking orders and asking if all ok. Well placed confidence. We would definitely return.

Absolutely love this little gem of a restaurant the staff are excellent and the head chef I think his name was Livio what a lovely man proper Italian with fire and love in his belly for his authentic Italian food . The manager was great too and the staff are a credit to him . This was the second time we’ve been and it was amazing the first and didn’t disappoint on the 2nd visit . One word ‘stunning ‘ I couldn’t big it up enough . Will definitely be going back very soon . It’s the closest to authentic Italian food you’ll get in the south if not the country. Great stuff guys of Albero keep up the good work and keep rolling out the great food . Can’t wait to go again . Mike and Kay x

I really enjoyed my mussels and pasta! A bit of feedback would be to serve the mozzarella with better tomatoes - even in winter in the U.K. one can get ones with some flavour ☺️

A chilly Wednesday evening but the restaurant was absolutely packed. Great food and friendly efficient service: the portions are generous and we ended up taking some home. The ragu is so good I have it on every visit even when I’d like to try something new. Likewise, my wife always has the king prawns with pasta and a touch of chilli - excellent. Well worth a visit and advisable to book in advance.

Over salted food. Very small portions and very over priced. Not tasty but served in nice environment. 36£ for 9 pieces of pasta not acceptable

Last Friday I had a best Gorgonzola burger with a nice flavour and preparation,juice burger and truffle fries also delicious we really recommend it

I come to tell my experience so that it doesn't happen to anyone else. I have booked with them through Booking for 5 nights, with the option of paying at the establishment, I normally use this method since I have had surprises when arriving at the places and it is a bit of a way to cover their backs. It turns out that with more than a month left to get to the place, they began to transfer the full charge for the room to the card I had on it over and over again, trying to get 500...400...250 euros whatever they could get. I contact the establishment and they tell me that it is an internal policy that the establishment has (which at no time does it put it in the reservation or in Booking or anything) to which I tell them that where it said that in the reservation, there was never a response. I tried calls, messages, but the only thing they responded to me was through email. I spoke directly to booking to see if they could help me with the situation and they told me the same thing that their policy does not say anything about what they are saying that they would talk to the accommodation. Booking contacts me a few days later to tell me that they have not received a response from the accommodation, what a coincidence just like me, but to continue passing the charge on the account if they appear quickly. Obviously seeing what was happening, I booked another establishment but I wanted to see how far these scammers would go. I contacted the establishment again and a certain Renata answered telling me not to worry that they were no longer going to make any charges except that they would keep my reservation and that everything would be charged to me at the accommodation without any problem. A week later there was the attempt to charge my account again. I contact the accommodation and Renata tells me again that they have not been charging me at the accommodation for everything, and the amount matches the reservation but they have not been clear. Today, with two days left to arrive at the accommodation, they tried to charge my card again and with it they canceled the reservation without communication without knowing anything or contacting me in any way. I have photos of the conversations, of the attempts to charge the account, of the emails of everything I tried to talk about but without success. I hope this helps people who want to go to this site and think like me. So that your trip doesn't get screwed up at the last minute.

Just about to change management but we've met the new owner. He guarantees lots of seafood. As he says " he's from Sicily so should know how to cook seafood". Looking forward to it.

This is a real little gem! The food is really lovely, tasty and fresh. The restaurant is very welcoming and the service was brilliant. Not over priced which in today’s market is unusual. We would happily come here again
