We booked 4 nights and also received a booking confirmation. We were then told on site that there was no reservation, but that a room would be available if we paid a price that was significantly higher than the original price. So we spent 2.5 hours with the service hotline, but they couldn't understand what the problem was, probably because there wasn't one and the accommodation just wanted to collect more money. Apart from that, the hotel staff made no effort to solve the problem or even provide minor assistance in finding a solution. We ended up booking another hotel through the same third-party provider and, strangely enough, there were no problems with that. Save yourself the money and the nerves. !! Their answer is simply not true. We booked another hotel!!

SCAM!!! I wish i could give 0 stars! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PEOPLE!!! We booked this place 2 weeks prior of our trip and got the confirmation email from booking. Keep in mind booking will not confirm a reservation without confirming with the hotel. We go there , they take pictures of our id cards and then decides to say "we dont have your reservation, but you are so lucky we have a room for you , just pay 800 euros." , (we had booked the place for 770) , we ask them to call booking and try to figure out what happened, the only logical way to solve this issue since its a problem that accrued between them. And they said no no we cant do that you call booking , so we did , and for 2.5 hours we tried to solve the problem THAT DID NOT EXIST! Booking was as confused as we were because obviously this is impossible. The staff and the so called boss were horrible people, first saying this has never happened before its weird and then half an hour later saying oh yeah this happened 4 days ago and we still dont have the confirmation from booking. At least try to tell a good lie! So if you want to start off your holiday with anger and frustration come here. Otherwise save yourself the time and energy and book another place.

Excellent B&B central location a stone's throw from the center and the main attractions of Amalfi. Impeccable service, spacious room and excellent cleanliness. The only flaw if we really want to find it are the 120 steps to get there. But then again it is a problem common to almost all B&Bs. 5 well deserved stars ❤️

Rooms were lovely with a great balcony view, breakfast on the roof terrace was fantastic and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. The only negative is it is a fairly long walk up many steps to get there which may be difficult with children/for elderly. But the location is still very close to the central street and would definitely go back!

The worst B&B I've ever visited in my life, really grumpy staff

This was an excellent place to stay in Amalfi! The host was great - you'll need to make sure that you can check in before 6.30pm but that was not an issue for us. There are lots of stairs before the hotel but that is just Amalfi and going to happen almost anywhere you look. The stairs were also wider than I anticipated so it wasn't as bad. They are done in increments so you can pause for a break. I wouldn't recommend having super heavy (or lots of suitcases) in Amalfi if you can help it). The location was great as you were just off of the main street and took less than 10 min to walk to the Cathedral / Duomo and beginning of the beach area. We got breakfast for free which we hadn't realised and there was a very nice selection. We ate it on the terrace which was also used in the afternoons & evenings to have some wine. If you sit in the back then you can see lots of rooftops and a bit of the sea. The host was easily contactable, replied quickly and also let us borrow her wine cork. 10/10 experience. And by far the cheapest price in Amalfi that we found.

Very good experience in this small, high-quality family hotel. The rooms were very clean and average. The terrace for breakfast is very pleasant, the breakfast copious. They gave us an upgrade without asking and helped with all reservation and transportation needs in the area.

Not good experience. Before we arrived the woman behind the desk told us on the phone that there are people helping to take the suitcases upstairs. We had 2 suitcases of 20+ kg and there was nobody to help us taking it up on the 120 stairs. It was really hard to go up and down the stairs constantly when leaving the hotel. There is NO sea view only view on the rocks and other houses. The room was clean but the airconditioning and bathroom smelled like yeast. The breakfast was good. I won’t choose this place it again for almost 300 euro a night. Not worth it at all.

Beautiful facility, friendly and affable staff

I'll tell you a short sad story, I had a high fever, complete with an admitted certificate and for 2 days, forwarded emails and phone calls, I tried to move my stay to the facility, without achieving any results. We therefore decided to leave anyway and we arrived on the coast 10 minutes late, due to persistent rain, and unclear position on the hotel map, the owner literally sent us home, blocking us on the phone. Everyone decides their own house rules and doesn't compromise, but sometimes you need a minimum of common sense and humanity which is truly unknown to the gentleman in question. I wouldn't propose it even to my worst enemy, the gentleman in question is worth little as an entrepreneur, but above all as a person, even if unfortunately I've never had the pleasure to see his face.

The room was clean, the location is beautiful, but it is located somewhere up where there are many stairs to climb. The owner and employees of the accommodation are very aggressive in their behavior. It happened to us that we needed to leave our luggage a little longer in the room before checking out, we notified them by phone and they said that everything is fine. when we arrived at the hotel instead, they blocked our access way to leave the premises and forced us to pay an extra night, with aggressive behavior. In addition, I did not receive any document to prove the fact that I paid neither the two nights I spent there, nor the extra fee. We do not recommend this accommodation because of the manager and the staff.

great hotel, can only recommend! Modern Rooms but classic italian charme. High ceilings, majestic atmosphere for a very reasonable price! clean room and bathroom, very nice balcony with bella vista. The rooftoo terrace is a dream. Breakfast also is a dream. Service is awesome, felt like home (even better because i didnt have to be at home) to all the fellows complaining about the stairs: work hard play hard, dont be a sissy and walk up the stairs

I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!!! They are such a thieves!!! I've booked 2 nights there, at the end I didn't stay any night and they have charged me 180€ by the face!!! Please do yourself a favour and don't waste your precious time booking a room here!!! I was about to arrive a bit late due to transport delay, so I called them in order to let them know. But a receptionist called Renata told me to cancel my booking, because they are not going to receive me. They didn't give me any solution or another alternative. So I had to look for a room hotel the same night. The treat and attention were awful!!! I told them to contact their manager, but the only thing that they told me was that they couldn't. And I had to cancel my booking and look for another room the same night. Days after I received a notification from my bank account that they hay charged me 180€ by the face. I've contacted them through phone but also email in order to refund my money back but I had no answer. The name of the hotel is Amalfi "Luxury" House, it should call instead Amalfi Robbery House. It was such an awful experience and such a bad treatment and attention to the customer!!! Don't stay in this place!!! NOT WORTHY! THEY ARE THIEVES!!!

Very nice, clean hotel/B&B with very large rooms, friendly and helpful staff, the only flaw is the location, if on the one hand it is beautiful for the view it is uncomfortable for those who cannot walk well or those with small children, given that there are approximately 151 steps to climb. As for parking, it is paid, the closest one is 30 euros per night, the other one further away is 20 euros per night. Nothing to complain about the rest, if I were to return to Amalfi I would stay in this hotel.

My experience at this hotel was absolutely negative and frustrating. After paying, we arrived at the establishment a few minutes after 6:30 p.m. to find that we were not allowed access. Despite our attempts to contact someone on staff, there was no response, and we were unable to contact anyone in charge of the establishment. The lack of flexibility and the absence of any attempt to resolve the situation was unacceptable. Furthermore, despite not having used the hotel services, we were not refunded the amount of the reservation. This lack of customer service and the lack of transparency in cancellation and refund policies means that I cannot recommend this hotel to other travelers, quite the opposite.

Awful experience. The hotel has a strict deadline for the check-in (6:30 pm) after which it is not possible to access the property. This is, of course, not advertised as such in Booking nor elsewhere. I was heading to Amalfi by car and I called the property an hour before telling them that we would be just on time or just a few minutes late. Despite having this conversation, the representative from Amalfi Luxury House never communicated properly the fact that we wouldn't be able to access the room/property at all. He also did not offered an alternative option (a code for the door, a possibility to meet up later at night, etc.) I made it to Amalfi at 6:31 but by then the communication was completely shut down: I waited at the door and repeatedly knocked. I called over and over again. I also texted via the Booking app. I called Booking, and an agent tried to contact the hotel on my behalf, to no avail. I had to find alternative accommodation on short notice, incurring additional expenses that were not part of my original travel budget -- Amalfi Luxury House has refused to process a refund. While I understand that there might be a check in time deadline after which personnel is not available, the inability to access the property for which I had a confirmed and paid reservation is unacceptable and has left me with an extremely negative impression of this hotel. This kind of inflexible check in policy requires an extra level communication on the establishment's end; however, they don't disclose it clearly on Booking and, haven't engaged in any kind of customer service exchange with me. I believe that paying guests have the right to expect that level of service and professionalism. In sum, if you book a room in this hotel and, for some reason, need to check even one minute after 6:30 pm, keep in mind that there are chances you will end up in the street.

Perfect stay, many thanks to the very friendly black-haired receptionist, the very rich and fresh breakfast on a terrace with views. We will definitely return!!

Great lady at the reception. Very nice rooms. Terrace with amazing view. Difficult to park your car, but Amalfi Luxury house assisted us perfectly. You have too climb many stairs to arrive at the location. But you'll be staying in the center of beautiful Amalfi

Estuvimos 2 noches, veniamos con la reserva pagada, sin embargo al llegar lo desconocieron y nos volvieron a cobrar, lamentablemente tuvimos que pagar sino no nos hacian el check in. Manuela la recepcionista muy desagradable y poco empatica. Parece que se dedica a alejar a los turistas. Además para llegar hay que subir 140 escalones. Con 4 maletas y adultos mayores pedimos ayuda. Manuela nos envío un par de tipos y al llegar arriba a duras penas nos cobraron 75 euros y la que mas insistia en que pagaramos era Manuela. Un verdadero robo. Horrible alejense cuanto puedan de este Hotel. No lo recomiendo para nada. Cuando nos fuimos debimos bajar nosotros las maletas, HORROR. La terraza del desayuno llena de moscas. Lo unico que destaco es la señora que llevaba el desayuno, muy amable, lo demas una estafa y un robo sin armas. Tarifa sobrevalorada .

AUF KEINEN FALL EMPFEHLENSWERT!!! FINGER WEG !!! WENN IHR NICHT WOLLT, DASS DIESES HOTEL BZW. DER HOTELBESITZER EUCH DAS GELD RAUBT. DANN BITTE ICH EUCH, AUF KEINEN FALL DAS HOTEL ZU BUCHEN!!! Wir haben ein Fehler gemacht und buchten für 2 Nächte. Da mein Flug am späten Abend war, und ich 10 Mal angekündigt habe, dass ich außerhalb der Check In Zeit kommen werde, akzeptierten sie es nicht. Obwohl es in der Info Seite stand, bei einer späteren außerhalb der Check In Zeit wird ein Aufpreis in Höhe von 50€ verlangt. Daher buchte ich für 1ne Nacht ein anderes Hotel und sie wussten „eigentlich“ Bescheid, dass ich am nächsten Tag anreisen werde. Ich war in der Früh beim Hotel und sie sagten mir, das sie meine Buchung storniert haben und sie kein freies Zimmer haben. Ich habe für diese 2 Nächte umsonst gezahlt. Es ist eine Frechheit! Erstens ist es überhaupt nicht menschlich uns ohne Unterkunft stehen zu lassen. Und zweitens geht das garnicht ! Das Geld nehmen und sagen wir haben kein Zimmer frei! Sie sagten zu uns beinhart das Geld in erster Linie steht als der Kunde. Ich habe in meinem Leben noch nie so eine schlechte Erfahrung mit einer Unterkunft gemacht. ES IST EIN BETRUG !!!

Estive hospedado neste hotel de 09 a 10/09 e fiz um review que não gostei do quarto. Não conseguia ficar em pé dentro do quarto pois era um sótão. Além disto no café da manhã num terraço aberto e com muitas moscas que vinham atrás da comida. Achei péssimo e anti higienico. Após fazer os comentários e check out o gerente do hotel me ligou ameaçando fazer uma apreensão e multa do carro já que entrei na cidade para o estacionamento indicado por eles e não foi dada a placa do carro para acesso segundo informação do gerente. Tinha solicitado estacionamento e paguei 40,00 euros Quando cheguei falei para Manoela que a altura do quarto não servia para mim e não tentou resolver. Além do ar condicionado estar mal posicionado e não esfriar.

We had paid about 1 month and a half before our honeymoon over 700usd for 2 nights in a deluxe room with a balcony. Upon arrival on our honeymoon, the girl at the front desk brings is to our room, which is even less than what I would consider a standard room with the ceiling at a Complete slant I am 5foot 1 and I couldn't even stand up straight ..imagine my 6 foot husband. We realized this cannot be the deluxe room at 350usd a night that we paid for. She says the notification she got was for a standard room, so we show her our email of confirmatiomation and even call our vacation agency and they confirm as well it's a deluxe option they sent them. We asked the lady to show us the email she got and she did not. She started telling us that the deluxe rooms are all booked and the standard is all they have anyways. We were very upset and they had 0 empathy. Anyone would be upset if they paid for something so expensive and receiving not what they paid for, like the owner told us "money first". She then called her manager or whoever this man was, and he was so aggressive also I am italian and they didn't know I understood everything they were saying to eachother. He offers to my husband to give us a suite the second night but the first night we have to stay in the standard room. So we hung up with him decided to take the night to think about what we are going to do. Also upon booking we didn't realize we booked and had to check out on shabbat so we also needed to add an extra night. The next day we went to talk to the girl said ok well take the suite tonight like the manager said yesterday and also we want to add a night. When she gets the manager on the phone he starts giving us a whole store "yesterday was yesterday, today is today" also his exact words "first what is important is the money, then its the client"....we are business owners of multiple businesses in canada, this is the WORST thing a business owner can say to a client, how do expect money when you have unsatisfied clients? Ur clients is what brings you money. Your clients are the reason for your business to even be running. They also forced us to write an email to Expedia saying everything is okay and we got a room (Assuming to cover themselves). Throughout the rest of our stay, it was such a undesirable situation being around the staff. The place is nice (minus the 101827202 steps to get to it) to bad the people running it aren't so charming as the rest of amalfi is. There are a bunch of hotels near the coastline, check those out first!

BOOKERS BEWARE. THIEVES!!! I canceled my reservation well before the required timeframe, and they proceeded to charge me my entire stay (almost $1000). These charges were made even BEFORE the actual check-in dates. Nothing short of CRIMINAL and ROBBERY.

Do not book room 7 or 8! On the very top, hot! A/C not working. Did not address our concerns about the a/c or problem with the shower. The room ceiling slants down significantly and you are guaranteed to hit your head repeatedly (I am only 5'2" inches!). Checked out after 2 nights when stay was for 5 nights. Let's see if they try to charge us for the entire stay because they stopped responding to emails for them to process payment for the two nights!

This was a very nice stay. The only thing I would say is before we used the bathroom, I noticed the shower heads and the toilet paper holder were not cleaned. The stairs to get to the house was exhausting but we pulled through. Overall, we loved the breakfast in the morning and happy with the service.

Just a great place !! This hotel is so cute and unique, in the middle of Amalfi, with the most amazing terrace where they serve the best breakfast. The service was great! Just so you know - there are about 80 steps in order to get to the room. But they can help with the baggage if necessary. We loved it!

L'hôtel est très bien situé dans le centre d'Amalfi. La chambre était confortable et plutôt bien insonorisée. Elle était complètement refaite. Nous avons été très bien accueillis : nous sommes arrivés à midi sous une pluie battante et la personne de l'accueil a eu la gentillesse de nous donner notre chambre immédiatement alors qu'il faut normalement payer un supplément pour un "early check-in" afin que nous puissions poser nos valises et nous sécher un peu avant d'aller déjeuner. Le petit-déjeuner était très bon et nous avions pu choisir la veille ce que nous souhaitions manger. Le seul point négatif serait qu'il y a beaucoup d'escaliers pour arriver à l'hôtel, mais c'est le cas partout à Amalfi. En bref, je recommande !

Beautiful bed & breakfast a few steps from the main square. Amalfi is so small you do not need to be right by the ocean and still have a great view. The rooms are big, clean, and beautiful. The bathroom was very nice: modern, ample and comfortable. The breakfast plentiful and delicious. The view from the terrace is fantastic! You see the ocean, you see the mountains, you see the city. Amalfi Luxury House is a great place to visit the whole Costiera Amalfitana. You can easily walk to Atrani and if you dare, hike all the way to Ravello (it took us three hours, stopping for photos, but we loved every step, even if we ended up dead tired) or take a bus. The staff speaks English and Spanish fluently and is super friendly and attentive. Highly recommendable!

Avoid this place at all cost! I paid to stay here and was informed afterwards that check-in was between 1430 - 1630. When I informed them I would not be in the country until 2100, they refused me check-in and have refused to give me a refund.

We only stayed one night but absolutely lovely!! We had a very big room with a freshly renovated bathroom. The staff was very very friendly. To top it off we were surprised by the breakfast which was included in price. Most Italian hotels have horrible breakfast but we could choose the night before and got fresh baked bread, orange juice, coffee, tee, Marmelade…you name it. I would recommend it to everyone visiting Amalfi.

Superb hotel, very beautiful, cosy. The staff is very friendly and helpfull! And breakfast is simply amaising! 100% recommended!

We ordered sharing board and and we asked for bread and they didnt have any.We ordered carbonara which was swimming in heavy cream sose or arabiata which was just pure garlic.i know cook is Italien I think but I dont think he ever been in Italy...what a discousting food that was i didnt evean eat half of it and i was sick when i come back home.Never come back there again.People which say is nice they never ate real italien food.Im sorry

We booked here whilst on holiday in Hythe. The staff are really friendly & the food is excellent. I had pizza cooked in a wood fired oven & it was very tasty. I would highly recommend.

We visited the Amalfi for my birthday and were so impressed, we went back the following evening for a second meal. The food was delicious and a reasonable price, the staff very friendly and the overall ambience in this small restaurant was brilliant. Highly recommended

Came here with the missus on Saturday night whilst on a weekend break in the area. It was busy but service was first class from start to finish...swift, friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. Bit of a misunderstanding with the main course, which could have been due to our accents lol, but this was sorted swiftly and smoothly, without issue. We both had starters, fillet steak and desserts and the food throughout was stunning, steaks were cooked to perfection- good portion sizes too which is refreshing to see! In fact, we enjoyed it that much we decided to eat again there on the Sunday, we both had something different and again everything was spot on! TBH, I would say this is good as any Italian restaurant I have been to, better than most. We will definitely eat here again when we are back in the area.

I can’t praise this restaurant enough. It ticked all the boxes for value for money, taste, quality of ingredients (the biggest juiciest mussels I have eaten in a long time) friendly and super helpful staff, (we were not straight forward in what we wanted) but all staff were so attentive and patient. Everything so fresh and delicious. Juicy king prawns, seafood spaghetti to die for, generous kids portions. My kids are fussy Italian kids and LOVED the pizzas! It was a memorable meal and very special for us as we are Anglo/Italian and always looking for really authentic and good quality Italian food. Practically all the food ingredients is ordered in from Italy and it shows . Cannot understand the last negative review, clearly you don’t know good seafood or know what real Italian food is which is delicious and fresh, Italians never cut corners on quality ever, which defines them to me culinarily as an English person married to an Italian. I haven’t eaten such generous portions of seafood as juicy and tasty like this in a long time and I love seafood. Have eaten in many of the London top seafood restaurants due to my love of seafood and your mussels impepata was by far the best for us.My only regret is that we didn’t get to try the dolci because we were so full! We cannot wait to come back after discovering you today and we will happily travel 50 minutes to come to you because you are the best Italian restaurant over that radius for us by a long way. The people of Hythe are very lucky to have such an authentic and delicious Italian restaurant on their doorsteps. Grazie di cuore! Non vediamo l’ora di ritornare da voi e assaggiare altre specialità. Most appalling meal I have ever been presented with is a an Italian restaurant. In fact any restaurant. Poor nonsense excuses. Low quality ingredients presented badly. Did not live up to majority of reviews.

I am sitting here in this lovely restaurant, just had a beautiful meal, couldn't quite finish it as the starter of calamari was quite a bit. The staff are friendly and attentive. Such a lovely place really recommend it.

Visited with my husband, first time for us and we have been meaning to eat here for ages. We had seafood risotto which was the best I've ever had, fullnof mussels, clams, a quid and prawns. Service was welcoming and friendly, if your local this restaurant is a must, thankyou

Firstly, the staff were all friendly and helpful and this is no criticism of them. They were trying their best. However, whoever manages the restaurant had just overstretched their resources. This meant that service was extremely slow, even though the staff were rushing about trying to serve everyone. We had booked but waited an hour for food which is not great for me as I can’t eat late in the evening. Everyone else was also waiting a long time for their food. We noticed quite a lot of take aways being brought out so can only assume that this was slowing down the orders in the actual restaurant. I would love to say that the food was worth the wait but sadly it was very average. Such a shame.

We just had Focaccia bread as a starter, 2 pizzas and tiramisu delivered to the house. Excellent food and great value for money. I can’t wait until we can eat in the restaurant again, until that time home delivery it will be.

Straight away you're greeted with a smile, and inside has such a pleasent vibe. The food was excellent too, and we all really enjoyed our meals. Will definitely be coming back.

Looking for a traditional Italian for a valentines meal with my girlfriend I had booked this 2 weeks ahead. I’d dropped off a gift for my girlfriend in the morning so a surprise later at the meal. On arrival the staff are very friendly and came across very nice and it had a good atmosphere. The menu had a very good range of dishes, service was prompt and the food came out hot was very tasty. They made us feel very happy throughout the evening and had a good chat with the owner near the end. I’d definitely recommend trying the restaurant and we shall be returning to try more of the menu. An average experience here on a Saturday night. The service was friendly and good. I recommend the pizzas which were well cooked and tasty. The pollo formaggio was just average I'd say. I think what strikes me is that the menu is far too extensive for this relatively small restaurant. I don't think it feasible to turn out consistent quality dishes where there are just too many options.

Another brilliant meal at Amalfi. We had the mushroom risotto and the seafood risotto which were both superbly prepared and presented. The wines are always excellent and good value. Service by Luigi and his partner adds to the positive experience. Highly recommended.

This is my family's favourite restaurant - we go here regularly and have done since they opened nearly 2 years ago.We have never once had a bad meal here - our children love the pizzas and garlic bread and the range in toppings is excellent.Whatever food we have whether it is pasta, pizza or the meat selection is always delicious. The drinks prices are very good value compared to other restaurants in the area.The food is always cooked to perfection and beautifully presented.Everyone here is so friendly and customer service is second to none.Jessica and Luigi work so hard to ensure everyone has a great experience and we love being able to experience proper, authentic Italian food here.Another amazing meal here tonight - all food was delicious as always and everyone friendly and welcoming.

I’m glad we have this authentic Italian restaurant in Hythe! We have been here a number of times and had a lovely time. We visited in the summer with the whole family (4 generations) and we were made to feel welcome with our young children. Tonight we visited as a couple. We ordered pizza and the homemade pasta, both were good! The two waitresses were friendly and attentive. The owner is always keen to make sure you enjoy your meal. See you soon!

This was our second visit in 6 months. The first was great back in August. The food was lovely. Well presented. Good choice on the menu. Not a lot but enough. We had a peach Bellini which was made using Robinson’s peach squash so wasn’t very nice. But over all 3 courses for me. 2 for my wife and we were very pleased. The bill was a little more than expected for hythe but it was ok. Now to the 2nd trip. It was like a different restaurant. The staff weren’t attentive. We stood amongst other diners waiting for a table for what felt like 10 minutes. The starter was fantastic (tomato bruschetta) The mains were terrible. I had lamb and roast potatoes. The potatoes were dry like they had been microwave heated. The lamb was oven baked and dry. The white wine sauce was more like grey dish water. The meat in my wife’s gnocchi dish was cold in the middle. So she didn’t eat it. No puddings for us. We got the bill and left. Granted they removed the cold food from the bill. But we probably won’t be going back now. Such a shame and a big step change in quality. Ps they need some new tables and chairs. The old pub ones are uncomfortable.

Diversamente da altri ristoranti che ripropongono all'estero, travisandola, la tradizione culinaria italiana, Amalfi e' un angolo verace d'Italia. E cio' non solo per l'accoglienza calorosa e tutta italiana dei titolari e del personale di sala, ma soprattutto per i sapori che abbiamo ritrovato. Veramente eccellente la pizza, da consigliare . Squisito tutto il resto.Privilegiata la cucina campana.

Me and the Mrs use this when we have a rare night without the kids. Never disappointed, and always a delight. The staff are attentive, without being over bearing, and the food spot on. The beef Fillet is my fave!!!

Siamo stati coccolati da Luigi e Jessica con un pranzo a dir poco sopra le righe: ci hanno preparato su nostra richiesta delle linguine all’astice eccellenti. L’astice era super fresco e gustoso: delizia per il nostro palato. Che aggiungere? Torneremo presto!! Raccomandiamo anche i coccoli e i dolci che vedete in foto.

We have visited as a family a lot as well as with friends and never had a bad meal. We had a meal here last week and everything was perfect.

Being Italian, I know what good Italian food is meant to taste like and this restaurant does not meet those standards. I visited and shared a portion of ravioli ai funghi and one pizza prosciutto e funghi with my boyfriend. The filling for the ravioli was not good, the ricotta not soft and fresh and the spinach whole instead of being finely chopped or integrated in the ricotta. The sauce was EXTREMELY garlicky. The pizza dough lacked in salt and was a bit hard. I would not recommend this restaurant.

we went for week end in hythe and i found this place, really amazing restaurt, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was so nice and warm like we can have in Italy... we started with a nice prosecco with strawberry on top and antipasto italiano with calamari fritti; after that we aet a bistecca alla fiorentina and a grigliata di pesce misto both of them were so yummy and for finish the dinner with something sweet we had a calzone con mascarpone e nutella we could not finish all because we were so full,(we did the take-way with the rest) was so taste and yummy. A the end of the dinner the owners brought us the bottle of liquor, was so nice from them... the staff are nice and friendly, i will really suggest this restaurant because you can try the really taste of italy plus the staff can make you feel at home... we enjoyed here and for sure we will come back... thank you guys for everything

What an unforgettable evening. What started as a birthday meal ended up with my partner proposing!!! Having lived in Italy for many years it was fantastic to sit down to real Italian food...e chiacchierare in ItalianoGreat service,not too slow or too quick. We all opted for spaghetti allo scoglio...squisiti and massive portions. Desserts were delicious and served with attention to detail. Great Sicilian wine and complementary limoncello. What's not to love.Grazie mille ragazzi per una serata super. Tornaremo.

For a very special birthday celebration with 4 generations of our family all together, we had a brilliant lunch at Amalfi. Our food was excellent, there's a nice wine list, service was friendly, welcoming and warm (with a real can-do attitude) and prices are reasonable. Jessica needs a special mention for her thoughtful and patient attention in preparations, from access for a disabled guest to seating arrangements and more. It's a real skill to cater for a large party, deliver food promptly that everyone likes and be unobtrusive in the process. Everyone said to me afterwards that they had a great time and really enjoyed their meals. I'd heartily recommend Amalfi to anyone for any occasion.

Have visited Hythe on a few occasions & was looking forward to visiting this restaurant. Booked a table for a Sunday night & turned up to find the place closed due to a gas leak! Shame they couldn’t inform us beforehand!!

Unplanned, "off the cuff" visit downstairs was a bit "reserved" so went upstairs (actually preferred the greater privacy). Young lady came with menus and took drinks order efficiently. We didn't want starters so made our main selections which arrived promptly and my friend's plate of pasta was massive - she struggled to finish (but I helped her out so all was well!!). I had the pork chop which was very tasty - could perhaps have done with a little more of the side veg garnish but this was our first visit so didn't really know what to expect . We had gelato with two spoons for desert and when I asked for the bill it arrived with two complementary glasses of a lemon liqueur which was nice. Just be warned, you need cash to tip as the waitress said she wasn't allowed by management to add it to the card payment so sadly she went without which wasn't right as she had been excellent all through. All in all a very pleasant evening and meal and we'll be back. Maybe just a smidge over-priced at £43 for two mains, one dessert and 3 small glasses of wine but I didn't feel ripped off as the quantity and quality was there.

Went there with 2 kids and was almost full on a Tuesday which was promising.

Il ristorante si presenta molto bene,stile rustico con un'atmosfera molto piacevole e rilassante. La qualità del cibo è ottima ed è come ce l'aspetteremmo in Italia, mentre la quantità delle porzioni è abbondante per essere in Inghilterra. Consiglio vivamente la zuppa di pesce, che era molto condita e non troppo pepata dando così risalto al sapore dei frutti di mare. Le fettuccine al gambero e zucchina erano eccezionali, non la solita pietanza "italiana" piena di crema come di solito si trova in alcuni ristoranti inglesi. Lo staff è molto amichevole e dedicato, mi hanno chiesto se desideravo un po' di peperoncino sulle fettuccine, nonostante questo non fosse nel menù, e il cameriere ha pure badato alla mia vivacissima bimba di quasi due anni per dare l'opportunità a me e mia moglie di mangiare senza interruzioni per almeno 5 minuti... per tre antipasti, due primi di pasta, un'acqua minerale e un bicchiere di vino bianco £60, che è davvero ottimo considerando l'ottima qialità del cibo e la quantità nel piatto. Voto 10 e lode!

We had an excellent light breakfast at Amalfi. They serve a selection of croissants and paninis, along with a good choice of Italian sweet treats. A good place to visit if you want something a little different from traditional breakfast foods. The hot chocolate is also very good.

We started with the fish and mussel soups and were surprised to find that they were in fact nearly a meal on their own. Soup is a wrong term. My wife had a bowl of prawns, mussels, calamaris, clams with a slightly spicy broth underneath. I had a bowl of mussels in their shells with some white wine and a sprinkle of chillis in to make it slightly hot. Great.

Considering this is run by Italians the food is not up to the standard of a Italian meal.

Popped in on the chance they had a table was busy but they fitted us in, very accommodating.

We had a superb lunch today at the Amalfi, the bruschetta and ravioli were amazing, really fresh and appetising. My husband had the pollo and said that was delicious too. We were with our nieces who live in London and their opinion was that a. it was the best Italian restaurant food they've ever had and b. they would like to live next door to the Amalfi!

Nice food enjoyed my risotto and great tiramisu too , attentive service and they made a nice sorbet dessert for my friend whose birthday it was thank you

We had Lunch at Amalfi in Hythe, for the first time today. Our experience lived up to all the positive reviews! The seafood and fish was very fresh, very well cooked and super tasty. We were welcomed by two very friendly Hosts, Luigi and Gessica who made us feel like we were in Italy for lunch. We recommend Amalfi to everyone interested in authentic Italian food especially to the many Italians who live around Southampton and Hampshire. We will soon go back to try pizzas and to eat more tasty fish!
