The best restaurants serving Italian food in Sunderland North East

Beautiful food, great service and a very cosy atmosphere. I think this is one of the best Italian restaurants in the area and would highly recommend to anyone!

Terrible servicio, los vasos en los que nos sirvieron bebidas fueron reutilizados sin lavar ya que mi hermano consiguió mi vaso que tenía mi lápiz labial puesto... Rollo de cocina utilizado como servilleta, pidió una carta de vinos ... no tenía uno ... me mostró 3 botellas de vino muy barato ... así que no tenía ninguno ... tenía una Stella en su lugar ... regado ... nunca volverá

First time in there, live local and it has not long been re-opened. The board outside with quiz night drew us in. We went in with average expectations but actually had a really good night. The food is pub grub, but it was nice, and plenty of it. The quiz was one of the best I have been to, and the quiz master was entertaining. Shame there was not many people in there, but I guess it is just a case of getting the word out that it is worth a visit. I don't often review places, but thought it well deserved one.

Food is always delivered in good time always piping hot and it’s truly delicious they have deffo mastered the art of pizza making ! Chips are fresh and the donnar meat is light and tasty however there garlic sauce is a game changer I highly recommend! The service from taking your order to delivering is fantastic I literally don’t go anywhere else now

Poor tonight. Looking run down, gaffer tape covering quite a few seating areas, sticky tables and waitress couldn’t crack a smile! Food starter, meatballs with toast soggy and just warm, not great. Main chicken breast average and again Luke warm! Cold plates no excuse!! Husbands meal was better. Css as not understand as there appeared to be plenty chefs in kitchen. Been for lunch before and it was canny but tonight might have been a one off! Don’t think we will return, much better places to eat with more pleasant staff!

We went last week food and service were great, went again on Monday were asked if we wanted a drink before we even sat down, the potato skins were burnt the chips were burnt my partner got a few mushy prawns and don't get me started on the chicken salad. Sorry but we won't be going back

Sunday lunch terrible service waited an hour for main meals other people came in after and got served before us and left then to top off woman sat on next table came in restraint with dog, bad enough to be feeding dog from plate but most staff came over and petted dog then served food prob not best practise claimed to have washed hands but again I doubt that

El lugar no tenía ambiente, los camareros mano cero personalidad, la comida era medicore. El pollo a la crema estaba tibio, pasta que debía tener tocino, pero solo se podía encontrar con un microscopio. El camarero me quitó el tazón, me lo buscó en las entrañas y me mostró un poco de tocino minúsculo y me lo devolvió, ¡fue como una búsqueda del tesoro! Cócteles y dobles sabían como si no tuvieran alcohol en absoluto! Navidad sí, muy decepcionante. No volverá.

Well, managed to get an early table for a family tea. Service was splendid - even when my loud son was shouting for assistance/ apologies he is autistic and is über friendly and loud. The meal was fantastic and served speedily, extremely tasty starters, main...

Nuestro regalo de San Valentín no fue realmente un regalo ❤️‍🩹. Nos habían reservado durante semanas con haber visitado este restaurante anteriormente en más de una ocasión. Empezó bien... Nos mostraron nuestra mesa rápidamente, nos preguntaron si queríamos una bebida mientras mirábamos los menús, yo pedí lager y normalmente te ofrecen varias marcas, así que pregunté qué lager estaba en oferta y el camarero murmuró un nombre que no reconocí y dijo que es house lager. Ok! Pedimos. Sé que estaba ocupado, pero las mesas estaban tan llenas que escuchamos fuerte y claramente la conversación completa de los dos hombres en la mesa de al lado, pero él necesita hablar fuerte debido a los grupos de niños corriendo de su mesa a otra mesa al otro lado de la sala, gritando a donde los amigos estaban sentados, corriendo hacia atrás y hacia adelante más allá de nuestra mesa y otras mesas de los comensales. Jugando con juguetes en el suelo mientras el personal pasaba con bebidas, comida caliente y platos usados. El pan de ajo y las pieles de patata eran preciosas, caliente fresco y sabroso. (Con 4 o 5 niños de aproximadamente 5 / 6 años corriendo a su alrededor) Oí a la pareja en la siguiente mesa comentar sobre esto. Entonces uno de los niños vomitó sobre el brazo de otro niño y sobre la mesa y el piso. (Sé que esto no puede evitarse, pero aún así no es agradable mientras come su comida de San Valentín). Así que ahora hay adultos y niños todos agolpados alrededor y pidiendo personal para ayudar a limpiar. Nuestra comida principal llegó mi pollo estaba bien pero no sé dónde estaba el chile 🌶️ golpeado en la salsa, opté por tener verduras con él (una papa pequeña nueva cortada en cuatro, un pequeño pedazo de brócoli 🥦, pimientos de zanahoria, col roja y unos cuantos frijoles verdes en un tazón) El socio pidió filete de bacalao con patatas fritas. El peor pescado y patatas fritas que ha tenido en ningún restaurante, más pescado en 2 dedos de pescado, todo rebozado, aproximadamente 7 patatas fritas blancas en una cesta, medio cocinado y no agradable. Se fue casi todo. Definitivamente no es un regalo especial de San Valentín. No podíamos esperar para salir y volver a casa por una buena taza. La cabeza ya estaba golpeando. Sé que los niños son bienvenidos en los restaurantes, pero deben estar bajo control mientras que otros están tratando de tener una buena comida fuera. Por ese ambiente podríamos haber ido a McDonald’s. Yo también tengo un niño y nunca llamo a otros, pero wow esto fue una experiencia irreal. 😩 valentines night spoiled! No somos una pareja miserable, pero el año que viene puede ser una cena M & S en la comida para 2 .

Turned up for table booked for pre-theatre lunch only to find it is now called Salt & Pepper!!! Only taking cash and was almost empty at 1.30. Food was lovely however so hopefully they will get sorted soon!!!
