The best restaurants serving Italian food in Newcastle upon Tyne North East

First visit here. The restaurant is very small, so get booked up early. It's worth it. The food was delicious, lot's of choices, seafood dishes looked fabulous. Staff very friendly.

Ordered pizzas twice to collect, the Salciccia & Rapini and Nduja Like Goats Cheese pizzas - both were absolutely delicious, ready on time despite the restaurant itself being incredibly busy, and the staff all seemed happy to be there! Has definitely become my go-to place for pizza in Newcastle, and I'm looking forward to booking a table with some friends and trying the pasta! My only request would be for dipping sauces, although they're easy enough to make at home.

No sabía que este lugar existía, pero me alegro de haberlo encontrado. Pedí pasta de salchicha picante y un blanco plano para mi viaje en tren, llegó en 10 minutos, tamaño de porción decente, a un precio razonable, y sabía muy bien! Qué vergüenza que mis medallas de comida traten de comer en un tren oscilante. ¡Volveré otra vez!

First time with my husband, we tried the Meat feast an Doce Vita pizza and we have no regrets! We ate a lot even if we’re quite fill because we just came from a party meal!

Fantastic service better early than late I really enjoyed it

Mi familia y yo tuvimos una velada maravillosa anoche! Por contexto habían venido a visitarme a la universidad y no nos habíamos visto en mucho tiempo... Long Friday era el lugar perfecto para celebrar y ponerse al día con un ambiente tan vibrante para un restaurante en el lado más pequeño (sin duda libro). El personal era perfecto, servicial y muy amable! El evento principal - comida! Fue encantador. Es estilo tapas y me quedé muy impresionado con las opciones vegetarianas (mi hermana es vegetariana). Nuestros favoritos eran el cordero, la carne de vacuno y los puerros, así como el pastel de queso de semilla de sésamo (tan único pero precioso! ) No volveríamos a ir por las costillas rebozadas, ¡pero se terminaron fácilmente! La carta de vinos también es extensa que todos arropamos en! Recomendaría encarecidamente para una comida familiar para adultos o una cita nocturna!

Hands down the best Italian in Newcastle. Food is always amazing with great staff. Ones of our family favourites.

In this I am quite confident: pizza does not get better than this. I am sad for anyone who has walked along Starbeck Avenue and did not stop off here.

16.12 24. Visited with friends. Food was delicious. Everyone had something different and all was extremely nice. Service was very good. Nice atmosphere. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We made a reservation for 8pm On arrival we told staff that we had booking didn't even acknowledge our booking, we were shown to small table for two by young female member of staff offered drink ; came promptly I went outside for few mins when a customer arrived looking for a table to be told restaurant was closed this was at 20.05 she told me how bizarre that it was closed we then checked website for closing times to discover that it was now closed strange that they would take our reservation for closing time. We ordered starters which were delicious but had just finished when waiter arrived with our main course we felt very rushed and could not enjoy our main course as there was only one other table in and they were finished their dinner . Lots of mistakes to be learned by this young team we have been in the restaurant business for a very long time and don't like to critise staff but this little gem of a restaurant could do a lot better we left not having a dessert or coffee as staff were already leaving . We spoke with young chap who was in charge tonight who was very apologetic but he has many a few learning curves to cross disappointing for us as we had looked forward to the luvly menu ( also server should have told us there was no fillet steak before we looked at menu) she waited until we had made our choices. Italian restaurants need front of house experienced staff 😒

Lovely little restaurant, stopped for lunch today after the theatre . Food was really nice, staff were all nice and friendly and nice atmosphere . Would definitely return

The most incredible pasta restaurant! Tasty fresh pasta dishes. The tiramisu is to die for. I would definitely recommend it if you are in newcastle!
