The best restaurants serving Italian food in Newcastle upon Tyne North East

Señor, ten piedad. Esta pequeña olla de pasta casi me acaba durante mi viaje de 3 horas en tren de regreso a Londres - ten cuidado. Me metí aquí después de ver las grandes críticas antes de mi viaje de regreso a Londres, agarrando una carbonara y un appletizer. Poco sabía, poco después de consumir el plato, tendría el PEOR episodio de intoxicación alimentaria que he experimentado. 4 días de infierno, seguidos de 3 días de una barriga muy sensible. A menos que quieras una limpieza libre de ambos extremos (si sabes a lo que me refiero) , no comas aquí.

Ordered pizzas twice to collect, the Salciccia & Rapini and Nduja Like Goats Cheese pizzas - both were absolutely delicious, ready on time despite the restaurant itself being incredibly busy, and the staff all seemed happy to be there! Has definitely become my go-to place for pizza in Newcastle, and I'm looking forward to booking a table with some friends and trying the pasta! My only request would be for dipping sauces, although they're easy enough to make at home.

Long Friday es una de las experiencias más sublimes desde el momento en que entras por la puerta. Cálida bienvenida (a pesar de que llegamos unos 10 minutos antes para un almuerzo ya temprano) ; Preciosa mesa, decoración relajante e interesante, y un ambiente realmente amable y relajado. Todo en el menú sonaba interesante, diferente, cuidadosamente pensado, pero solo un poco disruptivo en términos de la combinación de ingredientes. No hubo venta difícil, solo consejos claros sobre cuántos platos pedir y también la promesa de no sacar todos los platos a la vez, pero con una estructura cronológica para no abrumar con sabores competidores. Los platos estaban muy bien espaciados y lógico en su entrega. Pero sobre todo la comida era absolutamente divina - perfectamente cocinado; muy bien presentado y acompañado de una excelente gama de vinos no de la tirada habitual de la molinilla por copa. ¡Es casi imposible elegir un plato estrella porque todos eran deliciosos pero especiales, gritan por el pato confitado más increíble de la historia! ¡Gracias por hacer nuestro almuerzo tan especial!

We arrived and were seated and then...forgotten about. They were busy, but the problem was the servers were just hanging out at the register? Not actually serving? Also,it was extremely loud and to add insult to injury they turned up the music and it was blasting. Imposible to enjoy a meal in such an environment.

¡Una joya escondida en Sandyford! Mis amigos y yo llamamos tarde para una mesa y el personal era increíble, ya que dimos nuestra orden por teléfono, así que cuando llegamos allí la pizza estaba lista súper rápido! El personal era muy servicial y amable y la pizza era deliciosa.

When I was at university (about 25 years ago would you believe) we’d occasionally pop down to Uno’s for their happy hour £2 pizzas. Now times have changed and prices have risen but Uno’s pizzas are still good value. Yes the waiting staff try to upsell (can you blame them?) but it’s still a decent option. Won’t necessarily knock your socks off though.

Really good food for the money. Friendly staff too. Go there quite often as it is consistent.

Disappointed. We regularly visit pizza express but we’re disappointed with this one. Pizza bases were too soft. American hot was anything but hot. Worst martini espresso ever. We must have had 3 different waiters looking after us throughout the visit, it was either understaffed or disjointed.

I had read reviews previously and seeing we were at the Tyne Theater, up the road, thought we would try it before our show. Given it was midweek the restaurant was quite busy, generally a good sign. The staff were friendly and very welcoming and we were shown to a cosy table. The restaurant offered both an "early bird" style menu and a la carte and there was plenty to choose from. The food presented was very tasty and filling. Prices here are very reasonable and it is a great pre-theatre option. I would recommend this restaurant and would be happy to return.

The big sharer between 2. Could have eaten more if I'm honest, but it was delicious. Great little restaurant, excellent staff, tasty pasta. Was a bit messy trying to share from the same bowl but very good and I would recommend. Fettuccine beef shin ragu, whipped buffalo mozzarella, ciabatta garlic bread, fennel salami, lemon rocket & fried truffle potatoes

Fantastic service and food was outstanding could not of asked for more we left to full happy people. Definitely recommend to others 😀

Local muy inteligente y bien amueblado. Gran servicio, camarero tenía buena personalidad y era un experto en cócteles. Encantadores entrantes y deliciosa pizza. Demasiado lleno para un postre y menú de domingo de buena relación calidad-precio 😋
