The best restaurants serving Italian food in East of England

First visit and very impressed with food and service,large portions,cozy private booths seating arrangements,food arrived at an easy pace, (think of eating in Mediterranean) Which suited us, We arrived 6pm by 7.15 fully booked,3 chefs worked hard but as cooking fresh food it takes time.our starters of breaded mushrooms (huge) and coated Brie were excellent, our mains of veal ravioli and my carbonara were large,I had added chicken and in all honesty didn’t need it Only quibble is price of wine, most wines start at £30+ House red (Spanish)was ok but still overpriced.

Absolutely banging! Great little family-run trattoria, tucked away in Letchworth - if you are in the town, this is a great place to visit. Amazing quality, amazing value, amazing place - packed out on a Tuesday evening, shows you it's the real deal...

We were visiting Bedford --where I grew up. This was a Groupon deal, and it was excellent value. From the minute we entered, we were looked after. The staff were helpful, friendly and knew what they were talking about. Our food was the best Italian I have had for a long time. So if you have the chance pay them a visit. They are close to the Embankment and there is some parking close by.

Quick service and great food, best cafe in Hertford

Have eaten here in the past and enjoyed it but the last two times we've attempted to eat here we've walked away empty handed. The last time we were sat down and subsequently ignored and the time before that we weren't even acknowledged even tho the place was nigh on empty. We've given up on them now, as you walk out there's a Chopstix which is cheaper, tasty and they don't play hide and seek with you.

Not sure why this restaurant has good reviews. Starters were good but it was just prawns. No one enjoyed the main courses. My main was inedible, it was octopus and it was so tough, you couldn’t chew or swallow it. Sent it back but it was the same the second time. So I had no main course and ate what my partner left. The seafood in his was very over cooked, I would think it had been reheated. They seemed to have people in reviewing the food. There were a few tables they were making a fuss over and we were neglected and service was slow. The only redeeming thing, was the cocktails were good but food and service were bad.

This is a fantastic Italian restaurant. I would highly recommend the food is excellent cannot fault it. The service us good could be a lot better due to it being busy. The staff just need to be a little more vigilant, especially if you're trying to get their attention. Gets better every time we visit.

We were served by Csaba tonight, and he was super kind and sweet with us! The food was delish and well priced (under £10 for a big vegetarian sourdough)- will definitely be eating here again. Thank you :)

order never arrived... rang restaurant and told me it will be 14 minutes but they told me 45 mins early it will be 15 minutes.... I required a refund

Hands up, first time at Oscar's for a few years. Busy Friday night, excellent food, professional service. Risotto Fruitti di Mare, outstanding, only go for the Calzone Bolognese if you are starving, huge and very, very good. Will be back soon

Delicious meal with good portion sizes. The prices were reasonable and the staff were friendly.
