Pizzaluxe Peterborough Extra Msa in Huntingdonshire

Have eaten here in the past and enjoyed it but the last two times we've attempted to eat here we've walked away empty handed. The last time we were sat down and subsequently ignored and the time before that we weren't even acknowledged even tho the place was nigh on empty. We've given up on them now, as you walk out there's a Chopstix which is cheaper, tasty and they don't play hide and seek with you.

Stopped for lunch on our journey away, very impressed with the food and drink, server was new so little slow, understandable but she was lovely.

Although I didn’t have food only coffee so I can’t mark the food. However, I’ve got say the young trainee (I assume) since she had to ask questions wasn’t getting the best help from the other 2 members of staff. The dirty tables still had leftover food and crockery on them all the time I was in there. All they were doing was checking mobile phones etc on my side of the counter sat on stools at the bar and just shouted to the junior that there were customers outside. Not a good look and definitely not attractive to customers. I had my small dog with me which I found to be an advantage to take him in thank you for that but there wasn’t a bowl of water in sight for him to use. In my experience (I’m a 70years old female) the place should be full of happy customers and their pets because you can’t take them in anywhere else. The music is so loud maybe a disco would be better suited to the staff. The coffee was good tho. I have been here for 45 minutes and still the tables are full of someone else’s lunch and strangely only myself in the place and the rest of the services very busy. Sorry,

I would highly recommend Pizza luxe, if only for the great service. We were served by Vitoria Silva who was amazing. So helpful and made our meal really enjoyable. I would highly recommend- if only for the excellent service. Pizza is good, Caesar salad was missing the croutons but hey the great service made up for everything!

More than an hour of waiting despite the low attendance. Cuisine far from exceptional. Very disappointed

My partner and I dined in and ordered two Hawaiian pizzas. As soon as we sat down, we could see that the table & chairs hadn't been cleaned/wiped down as there were still crumbs everywhere, this was after looking for the "cleanest" table we could find, as they were all still pretty dirty despite the place being nearly empty. The pizzas we ordered were actually quite nice, however I did find a hair in mine which put me off a bit. Half of my pizza was also cooked more than the other half, so the crust was crispy one side and soft the other. We also had to ask for some napkins even though the staff knew we didn't have cutlery to eat with. I don't think it was worth £12 per pizza if I'm honest.

Probably the best pizza in Peterborough and its in a service station. Totally unexpected but very nice.

Food was okay. Kids liked it. First time, service was okay. Only one person seemed to be working and got our food out. The 2nd time, the service was terrible. The girl who was working didn’t even acknowledge us at all. We were there for over 15 minutes waiting either the table or at the bar and nothing. We ended up leaving. Tables are always dirty too.

The pizzas were very very good. Nice, thin and crispy. The staff were friendly and made sure we were happy with what we ordered. For a motorway services, it was a pleasant surprise. We will be stopping here again.

Unbelievable! Amongst all the drossy food places that one would normally expect to find on a motorway service station is this amazing gem. I had the best pizza I had ever eaten in my life! Sourbread dough, thin as a coin and extraordinarily yummy! 10/10

For a service stop restaurant I am astounded at the quality of the food - although I can only speak for the pizza as that's all we ordered. Friendly staff and delicious pizza. Tasty base, fresh buffalo mozzarella, thin and light dough with good meats. Despite having ran out of Moretti, the flavour of draught Old Mout is gorgeous - cherry I think. Quiet inside but decent atmosphere still.

Pizza was excellent, just found it strange that no cutlery provided.

It was lovely to find a dog friendly restaurant that we could stop at. The food was OK. And they were very short staffed on the day we went.

Fast, so good for a stop on the A1. Food pretty good. A decent alternative to normal service station stuff.

What a find. Super friendly. Great quick pizza. Gorgeous bruschetta, tasty salad and cocktails. Whodve known it was there! Nice outside seating too. Dogs welcome at side door.

I’d booked a table here for 11 of us it was a team sporting event, the table was ready but unfortunately they had run out of some of the food we ordered and the service was a little slow and they did not get our orders correct the food was okay but we were all a bit disappointed, such a shame as we we’re looking forward to it. I’m not sure we would organise to eat there again. What we did have though was good value for money.

We ordered two pizzas and a mixed salad. The salad was old, wilted and with mould, we had to send it back. We ordered two vegan pizzas and we got two pizzas without tomato sauce base, full of cheese, and not well cooked. We had to leave part of them as they turned our stomachs.

Well, it's safe to say that nobody ever finds themselves at Peterborough Services because they actually want to be there. Needs must and we stopped there because we were hungry and made our way into the building prepared to be fleeced by the usual suspects. And then we spotted Pizzaluxe... A 'proper' pizza restaurant. And it serves Moretti and Peroni. The thin-crust pizzas were superb and we shared a beautifully prepared fresh and zingy salad.Atmosphere was chilled. Service was quick. Staff were personable and engaging. Everything we didn't expect! This is a refreshing and positive development. More of these please on the UK road network.

Was a saving grace while waiting for the RAC to pick me up after a break down. Pizza and a pint was a very welcome sight walking into the service station. Staff super friendly

Oh well, now this is a find! I needed to charge my EV and thought I'd grab a bite - little did I expect to get one of the best Gluten Free pizzas I have eaten in a long time!! Staff are superb, especially Bella who is a ray of sunshine! Thank you

First time and never again… pizza was delivered cold! Was very greasy and my stomach still hurts. Potato wedges were okay but for the amount received I could pay £2 not £5! I was looking forward to my birthday pizza and was very disappointed. What a waist of nearly £19! Definitely not ordering again

Stopped for breakfast.....didn't read the menu properly, it was more like a brunch!!! Couldn't eat the wedges or roll that came with it. Had a couple of issues....food didn't stay hot on steel tray and cups not very clean. Must say i was very impressed with Gemma, the cook, who listened to my feedback and offered a small discount. She was a credit to the company, offering to take my concerns to her management team and reassuring me that 'marked' cups weren't normal....as another member of team had told me!! Would definitely try them again.

This country has horrible food but boy the pizza here is super mega quality for the price, you go to a fancy restaurant and leave 30 quid easy for literal grease, I paid 16 quid for a pizza and cocktail and it was mega amazing, even the cuttlery was good, knife was sharped and did not struggle to cut it.

The food is amazing , the service is amazing and they've got a fabulous drinks menu. The lady who served us (Leyla) was top notch

Far from the madding crowd! Away from the school holiday crowds. Part of the Peterborough Services. A brilliant pizza restaurant. The picture below was an Hawaiian with extra green chilli. The chap serving was lovely and the pizza was crispy with proper ingredients. The best pizza we’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend!!

Used to love it here, great pizza at a great price. We ordered online for collection on Tuesday. Got a call to say the kitchen was closed we will refund. Went in anyway to say we hadn't had email confirmation. They said they would do it in the morning when the manager was in. 5 days later, 2 phone calls later, still no refund or email despite them promising each time. Won't be going back RESPONSE: I have no problem with the dough squashed breaking, these things happen. Why has it taken until Friday to refund? I don't believe you have, you sent the email shortly after I left this review. My problem is with the repeated promises to refund. I was told 3 days to process on the 3 occasions I've spoken to you this week. Its not exactly a big deal, but I don't appreciate having to keep chasing and be told different things. Would appreciate it if you could make it up to us; id be happy to remove this review. As I say it's a cracking restaurant for a service station.

Excellent pizzas, at a really reasonable price. The actual pizza itself was fantastic, thin base, cooked to perfection with a good spread of toppings. Side plates were also super tasty, and service was incredibly friendly. Big thank you to Andie for her incredible service!

The two young ladies that served me this evening were honestly next level... Andi(manager) over saw the services of the kitchen and the bar with an expert eye and the lady behind the bar who's name I didn't catch served myself and many others quickly and with a great eye for detail and made me and others content and happy Thanks for great service and the smiles BAZ

As a regular visitor of motorway services, it was a great surprise to find such a good deal. Pizza and a pint for £10. The pizza was great, the beer Moretti was well received. Such a change to the normal and on the occasion I visited, the staff were polite and the service excellent. Thanks Pizzaluxe.

One of the worst pizza places which I have ever been. We waited almost 45min for salads, our starters came after the main. Personnel totally ignored us and mixed our order. Starters came burned and tasteless. Just add we were alone in the restaurant. No value for money.

Visited on Sunday, The bar staff was very attentive and caring. They sat us down in a window booth and bought the menus over, gave us some great recommendations! I had the Palermo as Harriet suggested 5⭐️

I'm working in Peterborough 3 days/week, so I''ve been parked up at the Days Inn next door for the past couple of months. As they offer hand made cocktails, it was my first port of call after my first day working up here. It's difficult to sum up how depressingly bad my visit was. I sat at the counter, but despite this it proved incredibly difficult to garner any attention, the one front of house staff member was on their phone most of the time, and I am pretty sure was explicitly making any effort he could to ignore me. Eye contact was certainly not in his repertoire of hospitality skills, but judging by his fixation on his phone, I'm pretty sure he has plenty of Instagram/TikTok experience, if only that could be put to some kind of beneficial use in the customer experience. Once I finally garnered some attention, I asked for a vodka martini, but was met with a "computer says no" response: only six cocktails are on the menu. A cocktail bar that prides itself on hand made cocktails can only do six cocktails? So I had to explain how to make a very dry vodka martini with the limited ingrdiencts available, ie, no vermouth, because why would there by any vermouth in a cocktail venue? Then I made the mistake of ordering their food speciality, yes, a pizza: it's right there, in the name: PIzza Luxe. I was expecting something special bearing in mind the "Luxe" marque. Nothing could be further from the truth, this is something my 85 yo mother could have cooked up in the oven straight from the freezer from Iceland and done a better job. Then I tried to get the bill. Well, I did get the bill, but then trying to pay it was a different matter. Bartender is too busy on his phone. I have no idea where the "fab atmosphere" that a handful of other reviewers speak of. When I was there, and every time I walk past, it's dead, and I know why: there is zero reason to ever want to go back.

Came in Saturday afternoon had a great welcome, service was really friendly and food was delicious!! Would recommend and will be coming back :)

Decent pizza for a service station - although service very slow, which wasn’t what you’d expect when you’re trying to get off and on the road. It all comes in paper pots and napkins which are hard to eat out of and are like being in takeaway packages - confusing when you’re eating in. Expected to be a bit of a treat rather than getting a sarnie and getting on the road again but a bit disappointed!

Avoid at all costs , this business is empty at all times beacuse it's rubbish , no staff no organisation no atmosphere no customers . We arrived stood at the door like lemons for ages, then the only staff member said sit down, so we did . We then waited waited waited looked at the menu and waited more as they don't tell you how to order as there is no conversation with customers coming in. So we got up and ordered at the bar along with others, pizza came 40 mins later and was quickly put on our table then the staff member shot off without no talking no offer of cutlery so we ate everything with out hands , nice !!. Then you sit there longer as no one is looking after customers. Customers coming in wandering about then out again as no one cares. Poor operation and no customers must be embarrassing,I think your restaurants next door must be laughing at your business when they have queues all day. Sort your poor business out, you must be hemorrhaging money. We won't be back and we are local family so we definitely will not be selling your restaurant to our friends .

Lovely light, thin and crispy base with the right amount of delicious toppings. Lots of options to choose from. Staff really friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Although much of the menu was unavailable we had two tasty pizzas at a great price in a relaxed and cosy atmosphere, can't ask for much more than that especially in a service station!

There were no fresh tomatoes, no fresh basil, no vinaigrette, but the menu relies on these ingredients. You could quickly get supplies from M&S. Instead, at least 1/3 of the card cannot be ordered. There are also dirty tables from which the crumbs are waved off and the siff sticks. You have to get your own cutlery and napkins, everything else is brought to the table. What kind of service is that? The taste of the food was okay, but far from good. You don't have to have it a second time.

AVOID! My partner went for a meal with his 2 friends All 3 of them started feeling very poorly an hour or two after having the meal there. came home and started throwing up and having a very upset stomach. They don’t have any allergies and are not allergic to gluten so absolutely no reason why they would have a possible food poisoning apart from the restaurant either serving an expired or out of date food/sauces. Please if you do not want to have food poisoning avoid this place at any cost!!!!!

Pizzas were good. Service very indifferent. We walked in, the only customers in at the time. The member of staff on duty did not even greet us so we found a table ourselves. We sat there a while and had to ask if they were actually open, at which point he deigned to explain that we could order from the table. Not a particularly warm welcome and almost enough to cause me to walk out.

Awesome pizza.. the gluten free base is great and the pizza toppings are interesting and a bit different which I loved. Will definitely come back.
