Amore in Huntingdonshire

My Grandparents always come to Amore for the fish cakes and pasta dishes at lunch time. They absolutely love it. The friendly owners, the fantastic food and the reasonable prices meaning they can go more often. I love joining them when I'm home. 100% recommend for a great family meal lunch or dinner.

A really good Italian Restaurant very well presented Menu range also. Delightfully run by a family team with a personal touch. Situated by The River with outside seating by the Medieval Bridge I Would recommend it to anyone used to touring England and Europe.

What a lovely place. We booked in advance for a Friday night which I think is probably advisable. Everything about Amore was excellent. The food, the service and the whole experience was top notch. Quality food at reasonable prices and an excellent bottle of wine. If we are in St Ives again then we will definitely go back.

I couldn't fault my meal then service the ambiance. I eat in lots of lovely restaurants ( lucky me) Tonight I was going to the st.ives youth theatre midsummersnight dream...decided to have dinner first and a glass or three of wine to make the evening better ..went to amore Seriously lovely tasty food ... Never normally have 3 course but couldn't help myself

Amazing food! Really wanted to try out some italian while were in town, and we really struck gold. Clean, tasty and great service. Absolutely will come again!

The food is probably the best in St Ives. We have dined here on several occasions and it has always been excellent. They specialise in fish dishes, but not exclusively, so meat lovers and vegetarians would also find a very good meal. The pasta dishes are especially tasty, with well balanced flavours and delicious sauces.

This restaurant is excellent! My wife and I have enjoyed lunch there on several occasions when we've visited St. Ives. Starting with the fresh linen, the pristine table cloths and napkins, the comfortable sitting arrangements and the tasteful decor, you can't help being relaxed and ready for an excellent meal. The menu is varied and certainly not over-priced. The wine list, the discreet attention of staff and the pace of the lunch (not too hurried, just right) were all factors which made our experience most enjoyable. Well done, Amore! We'll be back soon.

Great food and great service. The cuisine is spot on and that’s why we keep going back time and again. My mum loves it so it’s a real treat to go there and enjoy it with family.

Beautiful restaurant down by the river in lovely St Ives. Food was delicious and plentiful and great wines at reasonable prices. Only thing which could have made it better would have been a little Christmas music playing softly in the background but that wouldnt stop me visiting again. Great place, service and menu 👌

When for lunch with friends and had excellent time. This is great independent restaurant where the food and service are fantastic. We had a range of dishes from the menu and a bottle of wine all of with are reasonable prices and the portion sizes are generous. Can’t wait to visit again soon!!

Visited for lunch with friends and was at first disappointed as the menu was not as full as we’d seen online, however the food we had was absolutely delicious, good portions, piping hot and clearly home cooked. Crab cakes to start, followed by lasagne and sausage rigatoni with a lovely side salad and finished with the most gorgeous tiramisu. Good friendly service, would highly recommend and would definately visit again without hesitation. No photos as couldn’t wait to get stuck in 😊

Had a lovely meal at Amore. We were sat upstairs with great views of the river. The young waiter was attentive. The food was delicious and we chose fish and pasta dishes and the portions were also a good size. Will definitely return.

Booked for 5 people in the morning for dinner. Arrived and happily greeted and seated. It seems like a converted house - really lovely table and chairs. Very elegant menu. But the food was delicious and cooked perfectly - everyone in our group enjoyed their meal, which was cooked excellently. Not the cheapest place to eat, but great ambience and friendly service.

Staff rearranged seating to suit 19 guests. Food, wine, and atmosphere were top quality. Food was ordered in advance so timing and speed of service was excellent for a large party.

Had an excellent stewed beef rigatoni while out with friends during golfing weekend. Very nice Saturday night meal, generous portion and great service. An additional complimentary limoncello was also a nice touch too! Great choice, would visit again and recommend.

The food is amazing here, really delicious! Staff are very nice and helpful. The restaurant is clean, and feels cosy due to being divided in to a couple of smaller areas. Location is great; right on the river, and in summer you can sit outside if you want to. I have been to Amore a few times, and I love it 😊

We decided to come here for dinner after having lunch last year. I’m not sure why we waited so long as it was lovely. I can’t fault the food at all, our steaks were cooked to perfection! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was down to service, we were in a side room and the staff only really came in when they were delivering food. It wouldn’t stop us returning as the food was fabulous.

Although a very busy Saturday evening, the food and service were truly excellent. The calamari starters were succulent and both main courses (steak and liver) superb. Everything was served in a timely fashion by very well trained and engaging staff. This was a repeat visit and never had anything but a wonderful experience, we’ll certainly be back!

Excellent restaurant, we visited last year for our wedding anniversary and did the same this year. The Bruschetta di Gamberoni for starters is superb.

Best pasta I have ever eaten. Tagliatelle alla amore and lasagne for my other half. Garlic bread too. Not expensive and service 1st class. Can't recommend highly enough

Had a lovely evening at Amore - sat by the quay in the evening sun. The food was absolutely delicious - we had the goat's cheese stuffed aubergine/ spicy sausage to start, followed by chicken marsala & the calves liver. Portion sizes were also very generous & we thought it was excellent value for money. Service was good & staff friendly, only suggestion I'd make is for the cutlery to be brought out before serving the food. All in all, a wonderful meal & a lovely place & we'll look forward to coming back soon!

We fancied a coffee before a cycle spin to Huntingdon and back. This place has seats right by the riverside. the location is fabulous and the coffee was the most enjoyable I can remember. It was Tutto Benne!

A lovely restaurant. Only downside was a number of flies buzzing around the restaurant and we had to bring a highchair for our son. Overall service and food was great though. Would go back again.

Lovely Birthday dinner , our 4th visit here . Now firmly out favourite restaurant. Perfectly cooked vegetables with gorgeous melt in the mouth beef fillet. Tiramisu was just delicious. We'll be back

Thank you for giving us a great afternoon. Thank you because everything was just great. The wonderful food (a subtle combination of beautiful flavours and perfect size portions), the perfect service and the relaxed atmosphere. It was our first visit and we see it as a great discovery. We should have asked for a very small spoon however for the delicious tiramisu. That would have made it last longer.

Home style restaurant with pleasant atmosphere. Fantastic view and location. Polite and not intrusive waiters. Serving meals was fast. The food are delicious, we tried medallion,sea bass, and couple starters. It was perfect. There is some small details in the interior and in branding, which can be improved. But the overall experience is very good.

This is a great little Italian restaurant in St Ives, you can dine inside or outside on the quayside. The coffee here is also very good. A great place to people watch.

Visited for lunch. Had a nice meal, staff were friendly. In my opinion the meal size was a little small for the price but it was hot and tasty, for dessert I had a tiramisu again imo there was too much cream and very little sponge and for me it lacked the coffee flavour. Overall I enjoyed my meal and the atmosphere.

38th anniversary meal at Amore - a beautiful setting and beautiful food. Sat outside and enjoyed the occasion.

We sat in the sun, by the river and had a wonderful meal with a bottle of chilled white wine! The found was good and the service was excellent. We will be back.
