The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

This is the best Italian restaurant I have eaten in in a long time. Grown-up servers who know their job and are pleasant in manner. Sensible menu. Decently done food. Proper wine list. Only niggle was that it was very noisy. All those hard surfaces you see (and that bloke at a nearby table who was banging on about his life story to his companions.) There was some entertainment: the wine store was a shelf behind where a group were sitting. A man had his back to the shelf and periodically was asked by the waitress to pull out a bottle of such-and-such wine that she needed for another table. All of this was done with good grace, and it was fun to watch. £72, two starters, two mains, bottle of Primitivo, two coffees We loved it.

We go here as a group on a regular basis and always have great food. The staff are friendly and good fun. We go as a group and it's never too loud, we can always hear the conversation. Prices are reasonable and food is good quality. Highly recommend Deanos. Already booked for our next meet up

We came her for my sisters birthday. The food was made fresh and all of our food was delicious. Staff were very attentive and service was great.

Set in a re-purposed church building , this is a wonderful place , very spacious and with good decor. We only had a main meal, the service was quick and friendly, the food was good and the price was average.

First visit to Ti Amo, but won’t be our last! The food was excellent, with a varied menu and specials board. The portion sizes were very generous. We had booked and ate early on a Friday evening. Our table was upstairs - the restaurant was already very busy when we arrived. Amazing, friendly and professional staff too. Can’t wait to return!

The venue is underwhelming, it's underground and quite musty. The food can be really good, when they try.

As always stunning food, looooove the pasta, it is gorgeous. Can not beat the 3 courses for £20 deal or 2 courses for £15!!! Back again soon.

Outstanding food, great service and atmosphere all at a very reasonable price. Unfortunately there was a problem with the Pizza oven the evening we went but I choose the Risotto Ala Mare instead and I was not disappointed.

This was our first visit to this amazing Italian restaurant. From the point of booking the table to leaving the restaurant, I can only give a view of outstanding. We were celebrating a birthday, and all the arrangements went exactly as planned. The friendly service was exceptional, the food was amazing, easily the best Italian restaurant I have ever visited. The Vivo is definitely worth a visit, you will not be disappointed.

Booked for my wife's 40th Birthday meal for a group of 10 people as it has been our fav restaurant for a number of years. We turned up and the restaurant was closed. Fuming is an understatement. Luckily the restaurant (Aegean) across the road cut fit us in and saved the night with a nice meal. Massively disappointing that what was a very good restaurant is now being run like this and has put a stain on the night.

The food was amazing! Top quality ingredients, the steak it’s a different level everyone should try it , lobster ravioli outstanding! The staff so friendly and polite can’t do you enough! What a fantastic place! Highly recommend!

First vist (it 100% will not be our last)... Comfortable and enjoyable surroundings and atmosphere. High standards of cleanliness throughout. Fantastic choice of food and drinks. Generous portions of amazingly delicious food. Every course was a winner! The BEST customer service! Absolutely excellent! ☆☆☆☆☆ Looking forward to visiting again.

Havent been here for a quite few months but was surprised by the fact it was half empty on a Saturday night at half term .It was always packed when the previous owners had it.Also completely gobsmacked by the hike in prices £20 for a pizza ,£6 for a pint of beer and £8 for a pudding!! No wonder it wasnt busy .Also the previous owners always used to have a wood fire burning but whenever Ive been here since it's always chilly. Food is ok but nothing to write home about -the pizzas have hardly any toppings on them even when you order extras so a pretty easy way to make a vast profit on a pizza. Its such a shame as it is the only restaurant in Pateley so youre stuck with it as the only option if you dont want pub grub.
