Pacino's in Cheshire West and Chester

Visited with friends on Friday 19th, we all had an excellent time. Fabulous food, drink and service. We will most definitely be back.

visited for the first time as locals, we’ve lived here three years but we’re always put off by the location. don’t be!! food was really good, crab cakes were great. pate was generous portion and tasty. both mains were delicious. we also had a few alcoholic drinks and the price was very reasonable! please try here it’s a great hidden italian gem

Very much like a scene from Fawlty Towers. Wasn't expecting us despite reservation and was placed in bar area for almost an hour before being asked what we would like to order, this before being seated at a table or given a menu 🤣 Food was average, not the level this restaurant always was in the past. Poor experience overall.

Poor service very disorganised.. Ordered veal was more like bacon in fact I've had thicker bacon. Wife ordered the monkfish, she received 3 tiny pieces for£20...woud not recommend

Really nice meal and friendly service. Everything was good, the mushroom gratin starter, lobster ravioli, vegetable lasagne, garlic bread and 2 puddings all recommended.

We would never have found this restaurant without the TripAdvisor reviews!! Our first choice was fully booked so we searched online and came up with Pacino's, really glad that others had visited and reviewed it as it is tucked away in a residential area and you'd be unlikely to stumble across it by chance. Clearly a hit with locals, we were delighted to join them. The menu was quite varied, with good choices for vegetarians even though nothing is specifically labelled as vegetarian...the staff were friendly and helpful, and happy to talk me through the content of the ravioli.

Absolutely excellent restaurant, beautiful food, Greg really nice bloke, and, very reasonable prices indeed. Will definitely be back when next in Chester.

A true hidden gem that I’m really glad we found! We visited here as it was close to our hotel and got good reviews. Friendly welcome and a lovely meal. Don’t be put off by the location or exterior (you wouldn’t think there was a restaurant there unless you were looking for it), it’s really very nice. Our food was tasty, plentiful and enjoyable. Would return if we were in the area. Thank you!

A hidden gem 😊I was recommended to Pacinos by a work colleague who suggested having our Christmas get together there I was hooked as where the rest of our party. I have since dined there on several occasions and am never disappointed The food is amazing,the setting lovely and the service is fantastic and it’s also excellent value for money. I dined there this evening with my daughter who’s fallen in love with it and can’t wait to visit again and take her friends.

We ate at Pacino’s on Bank Holiday Monday. Fantastic find! Unusual tucked away location but once inside it is a homely, traditional trattoria. Menu contains pasta and pizza as one would expect but with a selection of starters and meat dishes and specials board. All food plentiful and very tasty. Can recommend the lasagne! Friendly helpful staff. Good atmosphere. Very good value. Will definitely return!

Visited twice after Chester races, the food and service was excellent as usual, took advantage of the midweek menu on the first visit and had the main menu on the second. A very good selection of gluten free food was available and also gluten free beer is available. A great restaurant!

Very friendly family run Italian restaurant off the beaten track. We went there during the Chester race meeting when most of the restaurants in the town centre are choc a bloc. We had an entirely pleasant meal with good service. Really good value with a variety of fresh special dishes. Enjoyable

The visit to Pacinos was fabulous,20 people celebrating a 60th Birthday. The food was amazing,generous portions hot and empty plates. The staff were very accommodating I would not hesitate to return to this lovely restaurant.

Went to Pacino’s after reading recommendations on Trip Adviser and it didn’t disappoint. Food was lovely, staff were brilliant and it had a lovely atmosphere. We liked it so much we ate there again on our second night in Chester and look forward to visiting again on our next time in Chester.

A great little Italian which I can highly recommend to you. It’s tucked away so you’re unlikely to come across it when out & about in Chester. It was only a 5 minute walk from where we were staying (The Mill Hotel) so was ideally situated for us. We had a bowl of olives to share followed by lasagna, spaghetti marinara with a side of fresh veg. For dessert, we chose a raspberry panna cotta & a strawberry cheese cake. The house Pinot Grigio wine is very drinkable (I had 2 large glasses) & my husband had 1.5 pints of Peroni. The total bill was about £65 so it really is excellent value for money.

One of Chester’s best kept secrets, this place has been going since the 80’s, but has a vibe of the 70’s. Pizza, pasta, steak or fish, it is all best quality. The waitress was very friendly and on her own, she was rushed off her feet, but we never felt unattended. Already planning another visit.

Great restaurant with authentic imaginative dishes. It would definitely be our go to restaurant if we were local. Large portions and very competitive prices. Lovely staff.

My family have been coming here for years and we have never had a bad meal/experience. The food is always top notch, reasonably priced and fresh. I came here a few years ago, and remember it as one of the nicest meals I’d ever had, so was excited to return. It’s a lovely looking restaurant, but felt a bit like a cafe this time. Only one man serving, only 2 other couples eating. Functional rather than friendly service. Food disappointing-calamari not fresh, bruschetta was just cheese on toast with a tomato on top. Pizza looked like a £1 frozen Asda type. My seafood tagliatelle was bland with a few frozen prawns. No care in presentation. Won’t return as there are much better Italian places in Chester. Really sad!

I went here with a group of friends (8 of us in total). The staff were fabulous and as entertaining as we were. The food was more than delicious and extremely well priced. It's a shame I live so far away otherwise this would be a very regular visit ! Book, you won't be disappointed 😊

Chose this restaurant due to the good reviews and we were not disappointed . It is a little way away from the centre but worth the visit and much better than the pricier establishment where we dined on our last visit. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and chose from the extensive menus and specials. I had cauliflower and cheddar soup and my partner had avocado with rose marie sauce to start , both excellent. Mains were duck and fillet steak, perfectly cooked to our requirements . Some of the nicest food we've had in a long time and the service was good , with the waitress providing a friendly, prompt and efficient service.

Great food, very busy restaurant we had to send the drink back as it was in a dirty glass and had a chip. To then receive the same glass with same chip but clean. If it’s chipped it’s ready for the bin. Still it’ll it’s great food and mistakes happen

We found this restaurant on TripAdvisor during a short stay in Chester. The decor was very nice and the waitress very welcoming. We ordered a bottle of delicious barolo which was reasonably priced. The starters were good and we were happy. My husband's chicken was alright - nothing special. I ordered pasta marinara and I would say it was the absolute worst seafood marinara I have ever had! The menu describes it as prawns, mussels and squid. There was a very small quantity of tiny tastless prawns and mussels and two small unrecognisable tastless lumps of rubber which I assume was the squid. Then there was lots of cheap seafood sticks chopped into the dish!! The tomatoes and garlic was barely cooked tinned tomatoes, also tastless. For £13 I expect juicy prawns, mussels and squid. Not cheap crab sticks. The waitress didn't check whether the food was alright or I would have sent it back. She was on her own and the restaurant was busy. I picked out the seafood and ate some of the pasta. I did complain and we were not charged but it meant also that I hadn't had a full meal. When paying I questioned the inclusion of crab sticks and she said that's how they always serve it. I said that's not what's on the menu. I also said I would have expected some prawns and mussels in the shells and the reply was that people complain about shells. Surely anyone ordering seafood know about seafood shells?

Second visit to Pacinos. Service and food were excellent. Delicious, generous and well cooked sea bass; steak cooked exactly as requested (sadly not often the case). Sticky toffee pudding was very good, as was rhubarb panacotta. Definitely worth a visit - it's just a few minutes walk from the centre of Chester.

A random choice from the internet. Went with the great reviews and cannot fault it. Friendly service from everyone. Including the other customers… a smiling, laughing baby always helps. Clean tables and restaurant, food was lovely. Just enough that you still had room for the pudding!!! And for 4 of us and a baby eating garlic bread, the price was great as well. Wow what an incredible find! We were staying at the Grovenor and had visited there for dinner last night with questionable service so was looking for somewhere else tonight. The service and food here was just top notch !!!!! We ate every bite & the staff couldn’t do enough for us it was just amazing! Amazing food! Was not disappointed at all. Booked here after reading reviews on line as don’t know Chester very well. Was not convinced on first sight! It’s a few minutes walk out of the city centre in a residential estate, from the outside it did not convince me. However once you are through the door you could be anywhere! Nicely decorated, homely abs welcoming feel, much bigger than it seems from outside. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The is a wide range of food on the menu and a great selection of wine! We had the chicken and mushroom crepe and goats cheese bruschetta to start - both were fab! Then the crab and chilli spaghetti and the chicken tagelelli for mains. Both were amazing. Then cheese cake and coffee to finish it off!!Not disappointed at all! Would recommend

Friendly welcome. Delicious food. Mid week menu offered excellent value, though prices reasonable in any case. Husband mightily impressed that chef was able to perfectly cook sirloin steak 'well done' - so refreshing to not be told how steak should be eaten. Really good Duero wine. Well worth the few minutes walk from the centre of Chester.

Booked at the last minute and we were not disappointed. Great service and a fantastic meal. Their mid week menu is highly recommended and outstanding value for money. We will definitely book when visiting Chester again.

Had been meaning to visit this restaurant for ages and finally got around to booking.We liked it so much that we returned with friends several weeks later. A new favourite!The atmosphere and the service are great and the menu is quite extensive so most tastes would be catered for.There is also a daily specials board and on both visits I had the stuffed pasta option which was delicious.Have a feeling that we will be returning here again soon!

Estábamos visitando Chester durante el fin de semana y encontramos este lugar mirando Google Maps para encontrar un lugar cerca de nuestro hotel. Leí algunas críticas y me gustó el sonido. ¡No nos decepcionó! Como dicen muchas reseñas desde el exterior, no es mucho y no está en la mejor ubicación. Sin embargo, aparte de eso, todo lo demás fue excelente. . . desde que reservó la mesa, el hombre del teléfono fue muy amable. Al entrar nos recibió un amable miembro del personal que nos acompañó a nuestra mesa. Teníamos una niña de 1 año con nosotros (nuestra hija, ¡no al azar que habíamos recogido!) El personal fue muy atento y todos se detuvieron para hablar con ella durante la comida. La comida estuvo excelente. ¡Bistec de grupa y cangrejo con chile, ambos hermosos! ¡Felizmente hicieron una pequeña pasta boloñesa para nuestra hija que también la disfrutó muchísimo!Odio que sea necesario mencionarlo, pero a algunas personas les importará y les complacerá escucharlo. . . El distanciamiento social se mantuvo en todo momento. Con un enfoque de sentido común, no hubo medidas sin sentido ni las temidas palabras "¡lo siento, no estamos haciendo eso debido a COVID! "Lo recomiendo encarecidamente, comida deliciosa, ambiente agradable sin duda volvería si en la zona de nuevo!

Me alegro de haber hecho el esfuerzo de encontrar este restaurante; una vez que entras por la puerta, es un encantador bistró italiano. Hay una buena opción en el menú y muy bien cocinada. Teníamos un plato fabuloso de pasta gratinada con champiñones y pollo, además de un postre realmente bueno. Fuimos atendidos con una sonrisa por una señora muy amable. Ambiente muy relajado sin duda recomendaría este restaurante.

La entrada a Pacino haría que sea muy fácil caminar. Pero no estuvimos a punto de hacerlo y estamos muy contentos de no haberlo hecho. Es un restaurante pequeño y sin pretensiones. Eso se siente hogareño. Está limpio y se siente cálido y cómodo sin aires ni gracias. La comida era muy buena y tenía un sabor casero. Definitivamente no es uno de los restaurantes italianos de "cadena" moderna. El servicio fue completado por una sola camarera que fue simplemente excelente servicio atento pero no intrusivo y anticuado con una sonrisa. El menú es pequeño pero sabía muy bien, para los platos principales comí cangrejo y espaguetis con chili mi esposa escalope y ravioles de gambas en salsa de crema de chili y vino. Ambos platos eran hermosos. Y LUEGO crumble de manzana (casero) y budín de caramelo pegajoso con natillas. NUNCA he tenido eso en ningún restaurante italiano antes. Fue tan bueno. Pruébelo, no se decepcionará. A un precio muy razonable también. Bien hecho, sigue así. Volveremos a visitar la próxima vez que estemos en Chester.

Desde fuera no estábamos seguros de estar en el lugar correcto, pero por dentro es un restaurante acogedor y de estilo familiar, por lo que teníamos buenas esperanzas sobre qué esperar.El servicio fue bueno, al igual que el bistec que pedimos, pero parecía que se podía cocinar en casa en lugar de la comida estándar de un restaurante.

Desde el exterior, Pacino's no se destaca y no está en la mejor ubicación, pero bien merece una visita. El interior está muy bien decorado y el personal nos hizo sentir bienvenidos tan pronto como entramos por la puerta. El menú era bueno, al igual que la selección de especialidades en el tablero. Los entrantes eran muy sabrosos y como plato principal elegimos filete con gorgonzola y lubina. El bistec estaba cocinado exactamente como se pidió, estaba muy tierno y la salsa era realmente agradable. La lubina era excelente y para ambos tuvimos una buena selección de verduras / patatas salteadas. En general, no nos podemos quejar de nuestra comida, el personal fue muy atento y amable y recomendamos el restaurante.

We waited 1 and 5mins from when we arrived until food arrived. Pasta sauce was watery and food mediocre at best. Would not visit here again, nothing special and food not worth the wait.

As previous comments said do not judge a book by its cover. It was one of the best pastas I have had in a long time and we all really enjoyed the night.

Estuvo aquí el 31/8/2020. Escuché mucho sobre el lugar, pero nada como la experiencia que tuvimos esta noche. Esperamos 15 minutos antes de preguntarnos qué bebida queríamos, luego esperamos otros 20 minutos más por lo que queríamos comer. y eso fue solo porque me senté allí con los brazos cruzados. Tablero. ! ! ! ! Me traje un bistec pidió medio a bien, cortado en bistec saliendo sangre pidió que lo cambiaran lo hicieron fue mejor, para entonces mi pareja terminó su comida esperándome. Las porciones son malas, no valen la pena. Vaya a shey jules mucho mejor comida y servicio, perdón por este informe, tal vez lo pilló en una mala noche.
