I love, LOVE ybis resteraunt and i am trying to get to the others.visited twice 2 uears apart and it still great. Excellent food and service. Cheaper than Bella Italia and so much better

It's sad to see the decline of Pesto at the yacht, we went last night food was old and overcooked or soggy, staff didn't come over unless you got their attention, complained about the quality of the food and we just got told "will tell the chef" such a shame £110 for three of us left completely disappointed

We had a wonderful meal. My 2nd time there. Celebration for my mother in law's 77th birthday. The waiter, Neil, was very helpful & attentive. I booked the reservation by phone, but unfortunately, Jacob was not very pleasant on the phone. I ordered the restaurant's new dish, mushroom spinach topped with cheese...... My complaint is it got cold pretty fast & the cheese on top was a bit hardened. But overall the ribs were great so was my linguine with prawns. Thank you, Penny

We had a family party of 12 including 8 adults and four children. As always, the drinks and food service were excellent. Adam was brilliant as our lead waiter ensuring our drinks and meals were served so efficiently. Credit also to the other servers who helped deliver 36 separate dishes to our party ! The food was delicious as ever, maintaining the very high standard we have come to enjoy over many years at The Yacht. Well done to all the staff at Pesto for making our family meal so enjoyable again !

Visited Pesto for the first time with my friends and sister for lunch.....food was lovely and waiter very knowledgeable regarding the menu etc. My sister has a learning disability and we were served by a lovely young man called Neil. Zoe (my sister) took an immediate shine to him. Could I just say how kind and understanding he was to her. What a fab young man ! Thanks Neil you made our visit special 😀 We will definitely be back

The service was great and the food was served quickly. Overall a brilliant place to eat. Highly recommend you won't be disappointed.

What a lovely restaurant. I’ve never been to a tapas bar before. Was pleasantly surprised. I thought ordering lots of meals would be too much, but it was just right. Enough that I could fit in the 3 little puddings I ordered. It cost about £30 that was for 4 courses and 3 little puddings and a drink. Great value for money. I can’t wait to go back .

We were at The Yacht on Sat 29th March to celebrate my partner, Debbie's birthday (it was one of the big birthdays). We got there about 7pm but we were not due to be seated until 7:30 but they shuffled things around and found us a table which we were more than happy with. We've been here a few times now and suffice is to say it was first class yet again. A lovely welcome followed by great service and wonderful food, and to top it all off they let us stay at the table a lot longer than we probably should have. Thank you for a excellent night, we will be back.

I have been here a few times the food is nice, but always comes to the table lukewarm . My first visit i did mention this problem , but nothing seems to have changed .It is a shame becouse the place is nice but i will have to try some where else in future as i like my food hot from the kitchen

I booked a table for 3 people online an hour earlier. Beautiful restaurant and was busy when we arrived. We were seated upstairs, there were a few other families up there and the atmosphere was good. Our food arrived quickly and our host was attentive. All food is small plates which allows you to order as many or as little as you like. Good offers on lunch menu which runs until 7pm during the week. The car park has plenty of spaces and the restaurant itself is in a main road 5-10 minutes from Chester. We will definitely return. The food was excellent 👌

been going here for many years and booked a table for midday for a family birthday, we arrived at 11.55 and stood outside with the staff looking at us until it was on noon. Following being shown to our table the girl serving was not in a good mood and had no patience on us ordering our meals but we smiled! food arrived, 3 of us had the fish in beer batter - the batter was raw and you could of squeesed it and used it as a sponge this was sent back but by the time it reappeared the rest of the table had finished and was still by no means edible. we asked for a sweet menu and then waited for 30mins for this to arrive, then waited again for the order to be taken. at 1.45 we were told you have 3 mins to vacate your table, we were still eating the desert that took forever to arrive ! we asked why as there were many tables vacant in the resturant and there were customers that arrived with us that were not asked to vacate? we were told by the girl serving us we only had drinks left and to move to the bar I explained i was still chewing!! she said take it up with a manager. my husband walked over to the bar to see where we could sit in the meantime the drinks we had were taken away from us I asked the girl that had been serving us for the bill this completely ruined our meal and I asked speak to a manager I was told by the girl that we could speak to a manager when we have settled the bill. we waited for another 10mins and we asked for the manager again who eventually turned up, she made excuses for the bad attitude of the member of staff and the service we had received. My husband picked to go their and was upset it had ruined the meal and the manager told him that she would send a discount voucher by email that day - no shock and suprise that this didnt happen - I was not intrested in receiving the voucher as it had ruined a special occasion that we cant get back with my family I have Never been anywhere that has treated a group of people in this way certainly was not service with a smile, bad food, bad customer service. the owners of this franchise should take a long hard look at the people that are representing their investment as word of mouth goes a long way in keeping a reputation

I went here with a group of friends yesterday to celebrate a birthday. The food is amazing and there's so much to choose from. I can recommend the cherry Bakewell cocktail. The staff were lovely and even decorated a plate and served the cakes I brought . Will definitely be returning soon.

Ok here we go..... Que the backlash!!! Pesto... Food and price...it's like food but smaller ...lots of single mouthful dishes its Italian tapas in layman's terms ..quite nice and tasty and being honest 220 pound for 7 people wasn't bad value Service.... Service ...SERVICE .... where has that dam waitress gone to NOW.....??? Yea soooo ...Piss poor service Clientele ... Ok I'm working class I have no problem with this and embrace being a blue collar hard working man who along with my family knows how to act and behave respectfully I do not like to be looked down upon by snooty snotty middle to upper class wannabe idiots buying posh tapas in their nice suits (I have no problem with this I am setting the atmosphere) drinking the most expensive wine on mummy and daddy's credit card ....and there were A LOT of people like that in here. Food ok Service bad Clientele idiotic at times Overall ...dissapointing. unless you aspire to be the above

The young lady who served us should go and work on a desert island, because she has no idea how to treat people, arguing with customers. I asked her what BEER do you have and she said carlsberg, peroni, I said no not lager BEER, with a nasty voice said , we have carlsberg, Peroni , at least I know the difference between beer and lager. Want be going there again.

We booked a table for my Wife's birthday . The car park is large and flat with no steps for easy access. There is a wide selection of small plates on the menu in 3 price ranges. Service was very good thanks to Mark our server. All the food was delicious we will defiantly go back.

We were in the area for few days , we saw this restaurant when we first arrived . In 2 days , we went 3 times as the food , the staff and restaurant is amazing. Tapas style but with Italian dishes . Very nice concept .

Sunday 15th 2.30pm booking.Been many times over years,unfortunately today was shocking service from start.Some of party not arrived,so went to get some drinks,were told at bar table service only.Waited ten minutes,my wife went to bar,then someone appeared at table.Noticed it was cold in restaurant,lots of people had coats on.Food was ordered fine,but only half arrived,ten minutes or more after we asked where rest was it arrived.Two meals sent back,dough really undercooked.My mushroom bruchetta,it was like a piece of bread,not toasted at all.It was my mums 81st birthday,we came here last year,it was her favourite place,she said we wont be going again.Some money was knocked off bill,but they didnt say until i asked manager,whose rapour wasnt the best.Not for us again,shame,used to be good

My first time at this restaurant but very pleasantly surprised. The quality is very good indeed, especially given the enormous choice. Each of the choices I made were first rate, especially the spicy pizietta. My wife and a friend also enjoyed their meals. The value for money is amazing. A big plus is the location in the countryside with loads of parking. I anticipate another visit when my son and his family visit from the USA.

Great venue. Good almost arrived too quickly and as it was all at once we didn’t get to stay too long and make it last like a true tapas experience . That said, the service was good, the food was decent and hot.

Nice but not great. I'm sure many people will understand my description. You pay a lot of money for some small plates of unexceptional food. It is a chain I suppose so it displays all the normal chain symptômes. Style over substance. Staff were great though . I was there in a party of 8. Probably won't return.

We arrived at Pesto at 8.15pm without a booking. It was quiet so lots of tables but for some reason the manager decided to keep us waiting in the very small lobby while she had an IT meltdown for 15 minutes... Once we were sat down it was the usual Pesto experience, always reliable and good. The staff seemed aware of the rather excentric supervisor and made apologies...but please can someone get her some training? We wont return here just because of her. Will stick to cabbage Hall...

The food is absolutely beautiful but unfortunately the service let it down on this occasion. After the table next to us left we heard the waitress say rather loudly to another member of staff that they could’ve atleast tipped her £1.25 (they paid the exact amount and kept the change as opposed to tipping) which we found awfully cheeky and in turn put us off leaving any sort of tip! Two of us on our table work in hospitality and know although tips are nice - they’re an extra and not to be expected! I was taken back to hear the member of staff say a cheeky comment like that infront of customers. The place was understandably understaffed due to adverse whether it did mean I had to ask twice for a drink as they’d forgot the first time and wait times weren’t the best but out of their control I suppose. The food however was incredible! Fresh and tasty, first time visiting and will certainly be returning 😋

Always good food and service here. Go a couple times a year. There's a main menu and a set menu which is good value for money. 6 adults 1 child and our bill was £130 for food and soft drinks. Only downside is you have to drive there. Food is Italian tapas so small plates but order at will.

Just would like to give a shout out to our server today his name was Joe and served our table of 14 people . He was super polite and attentive , which made a meal more relaxed which is sometimes rare as we are a big party !. All our food was delicious and had no issues. Thank you

I meet up with old mates for lunch every couple of months. The menu has three price ranges and you can select any three dishes, all of which are delicious. Always popular as everything here is spot on. You need to book in advance to ensure getting a table but I don't know if you can just turn up and chance getting a table.

It’s a lovely place! Highly recommend, plenty of nice options to try every time, i’ve been there twice already this week and shall be back again, I have received some amazing service from Philippa on both occasions, she’s quite a delight added to the place! If you like sweet things you much try the Angelico crema cocktail, it’s to die for!

We get together regularly as a group of friends and chose to revisit Pesto at The Yacht for our latest meet up. As I have found to be usual, the food and ambience were really good. Most of us selected from the set menus and the food I chose was great. Really tasty and a nice variety of options, too! What impressed me even more on this occasion was the service. We were looked after by Kate M who ensured our orders were brought quickly and simultaneously to the whole party. She was courteous, friendly, attentive and, most importantly to me, showed great integrity when she re-checked we were happy with our tip amount, as it seemed more than she thought we realized. We knew the amount and were happy it was merited by our evening's experience, but what really impressed me was that Kate M checked with us anyway. I love this honesty and because of this, and her efforts all evening, consider this young lady to be a real credit to the team at Pesto. To summarize then, we had a great time and, based on the food, ambience and excellent service, I will be back again soon and will definitely continue to recommend Pesto at The Yacht to others.

Never been to a tapas Italia before so this was a nice change! The prices are very good for the portion sizes, we actually couldn't finish all our food!

This was our 6th year anniversary of being together. We love coming here. We were welcomed warmly by Filipe, she spoke to my partner about surfing which he was chuffed about. The food was delicious, quick to come out, Felipe was very attentive asking if everything was ok. Had the best night. Thanks Filipe for your walm and kind welcome and serving us were very grateful.

I love Pestos in general, so I have been to 4 of their restaurants but At The Yacht was my first experience - and I have been back a few times now including for my birthday - it would have been nice if they could do something to make you feel special for your birthday day as we did mention it on the booking and to the person serving us, we had a few issues with cold plates on the last visit but overall it is a fab tapas selection and we would return. Old Mout Cider was £6.00 so I wish I went for a cocktail instead! But the prices for the Tapas are really good and worth it.

We have been a few times before so know this place well. Unfortunately this time wasn't great for the food. At best it was luke warm, at worst it was cold. We had to send food back to the kitchen to be heated up again. The service was good from our server and the atmosphere was good but the cold food let it down.

I've been a couple of times now, so feel I can leave a well balanced review. My second visit wasn't as good as the first and that was down to two factors that worse. Firstly, the service was slow throughout the visit, it took up to 10mins to get seated. Another 30mins for our sever to take our drinks order and our food took an age to arrive. Normally this is because the restaurant is busy and all, but there were multiple empty tables around us, so that couldn't be it, perhaps an off night?.. Secondly, the food was amazing for me and the wife, just a tad undercooked for my mother in law. Which, by the way, our server dealt with this professionally! Easily fixed and nothing above will stop me from going again, I just love the food too much.

We went for an evening meal, we hadn’t booked but Tasha our server found us a perfect spot in the restaurant and was very accommodating, her service was excellent and our food was lovely, we will be returning soon! x

We visited on a very busy Saturday night to celebrate our daughter's birthday. Kate looked after us and all of us thought she was so lovely. Friendly, efficient and professional. Five of us including a 4 year old. Food was good as were the drinks but it was Kate who made the evening for us all. She sorted food, drinks, took pictures and served my daughter's birthday cake as well as being very busy with other customers. Recommend booking as it was very busy. Plenty of car parking.

Husband and I had lunch today at pesto at the yacht.Been several times never disappointed with staff or food. Today we served once again by Kacey u who was pleasant took time to chat to us while making sure we had everything we needed.Well done kacey your a credit to Pesto.

Always great food and service, reccomend 2/3 dishes each and of course a desert. Staff are always friendly, helpful and efficient. Can be a littke expensive once you add drinks on but its worth it.

Sometimes you strike gold. On a trip to Cheshire to find hotel we’re staying in had a so-so restaurant. Found Pesto at the Yacht on Google Maps, just around the corner; why not give it a try. So we did! WOW! Went back the following evening too. Tapas style Italian, what a great idea. Shame it’s not nationwide ☹️.

One of our favourite places to eat. Visited many times and love how there are new items on the menu to try. Setting is lovely and Kacey who served us was lovely. She was so polite and chatty and the prefect host, thank you. Enjoyed our visit and will always come back.

Great place, very affordable food, but extremely expensive on drinks

We enjoyed our Pesto meal at The Yacht last night very much. The food was both delicious and nutritious, high quality, well-prepared and presented, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We appreciated the range of choice, especially as vegetarians/vegans. The six little dishes between us were perfect - full of flavour, colour and different textures. Lovely!

'Trapped' in a great hotel, but with an expensive restaurant, TA once again saved the day by showing me that 'Pesto at the Yacht Inn' was literally just down the road - and what a GREAT find it was. I rarely give 5-Stars; I'm not someone who gushes over somewhere just because they have nice crockery - Pesto has earned the highest praise. A quick look over the online menu before setting off made me convinced that the there was a typo in the prices - everything was ~£6. However, all became clear when you realise that its Tapas-style (which I love) but with Italian cuisine (which I LOVE). That LUV only deepened as I passed a board on the way in that was advertising 3 dishes for less than £15! Quickly, and professionally, seated in an already-busy restaurant (it was only 5:30pm), the staff were extremely attentive and service rapid. For someone who hates the sight of a massive bowl of pasta served by restaurants who confuse quantity with quality, Pesto definitely concentrates on the latter - the food was simply superb, great job Chef. The portions are effectively starter-sized, so the Insalata Caprese and Calamari Fritti dished were a perfect amount, very good quality and extremely well cooked Calamari. The pasta dish (Maccheroni Cacio Con 'Nduja) was piping hot and delicious; I barely had room for Tiramisu (but, there's ALWAYS room for Tiramisu ;-) ) This is a great restaurant, the fact that it's an old pub just adds to the charm - highly recommended.

The food was lovely however we had a very rude server and had to wait ages for our drinks and orders to be taken. We asked several times for our food to be taken by a number of people only to be told rudely that only our server was allowed to speak to us. The waitress who brought our food over was absolutely lovely however the tall male waiter taking our orders was very rude to us several times making comments on our orders etc, I am very disappointed as I normally have a lovely experience here. Not happy.

First time visiting, excellent service, loads to choose from and a great atmosphere. I love the fact it's a tapas Italian menu. We ordered 3 dishes each (two adults two children), everything came at the same time and we had a feast. We all shared each other's food so we really got a variety of food to try. Will definitely be back again. The price was great as well, 12 dishes, 8 drinks with 4 deserts came to just £105. Excellent value. Just a sample of what we had and recommend. Disgusting service, Mark the waiter very rude, upset with the tip we left, snatched card machine out of my 81 year old fathers hand

Poor service, waited long time for drinks to be brought to table, waitress was hardly seen, colleagues had to fill in for her (busy on mobile !) Food was however excellent

Always good food at the Pesto establishments and no different here. nicely refurbished and very different from its past look as The Yacht. Busy, so service wasn't quite on point but our waitress was genuinely lovely, made us feel very welcome (didn't get her name, slim, dark haired, European accent) All in all an excellent experience
