Augusto Pizzeria in Cheshire West and Chester

Asked if I could add mushrooms to the chef‘s special pizza, they said no it would spoil the delicate taste. Also when it arrived asked if I could add Parmesan cheese they said no it would spoil the special blend.when I tucked in. I found it a bit bland. They need get go over themselves and possibly cater for the customer.

The best pizza I've ever eaten. Delicious, delicate, fluffy dough and fresh ingredients. Amazing tiramisu for dessert - I've never had a better one! Delicate, creamy, fresh, not too sweet! I recommend it with all my heart!!!! Incredibly nice service! The owner helped us choose dishes and desserts, joked, was very nice and very cordial. The lady who helped was also very nice. It was a very pleasant surprise that she spoke our language. Best regards! Service time is very fast. We didn't even wait 10 minutes after submitting Rating 1000/10! ❤️ I would give 10 stars if I could!

If I could I would give it 10 stars. The food was top notch, we ordered Ham and Mushroom pizzas and finally Tiramisu desserts. INSANELY delicious. The service is incredibly nice and polite, and can help you choose dishes. Thank you for delicious dishes and we wish you all the best!

We've been meaning to come here for so long I feel like I may have hyped it up in my own head... We came here as Chester Markets were pretty busy, we were welcomed really well, (had our dog with us too, so love a dog friendly place), surroundings were alright, got a table which was great. Pizzas were about average, feel like it lacked any form of flavour and the price... wow. There are so many independant pizza places out there that do this so much better and for alot less. Service was okay, but not consistent. You could definitely tell the tables they were more attentive to, and it wasn't ours. Don't think we'll be back which is honestly a shame.

I was really impressed by all aspects of my visit to Augusto!! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, and really tasty food!! I went for the special of the day, which was pizza with a squash base (you need to try it!) smoked Scamorza cheese and Italian sausage, which is really impressive. It was fairly quiet, so i got to speak to the staff and was treated like part of the family. Will go again without a doubt!

I can't believe how bad the service was on Saturday night. Such a shame as we've been before but won't go again...We were a table of four and had one pizza and two side orders brought to our table....we waited so long that the sides were eaten and one of us had virtually finished before the other pizzas arrived...drinks...bottle of wine uncorked without removing the plastic cap so then poured it through a messy opened bottle. Waiting on staff had little interest in checking on us...in fact when we kept clearing our table ourselves as so little room for four guests we still didn't receive any service. We got up to leave and waited for quite a while whilst staff knew we were waiting to pay...priority seemed to be clearing a table before taking payment.. so disappointed....

Despite being a busy Saturday night, the service was absolutely incredible. Quickly seated in the upstairs area, our server, Cecila, was fantastic. Didn't wait long for drinks and the food was amazing. Even though the venue was busy it never felt as though we were waiting too long, either to take our order or for the food to arrive. Highly recommend!

I ordered a small Italian Platter to share with my bf and went with the classic base margarita pizza. I thought the food tasted really good and altogether it only came out to around £13 for just myself. I did see others choose the Turin base pizza which looked a lot smaller so I would definitely choose the classic option as it was better value for what you get.

We were coming into Chester for a comedy gig & wanted somewhere to eat & this place came up. We were not disappointed. From the greeting walking in which was so welcoming to the food, which was absolutely incredible, you would be mad to bypass this little restaurant without trying their food. We will definitely be back.

Short review. The pizza was fine but not in the same league as somewhere like Rudy's. The place itself is okay but doesn't feel very Italian but the disappointment came after seeing a sign saying 'Life's too short to drink cheap wine.' We ordered a red and a white and both were sub-par - not as nice as the cheapish bottles we get at home. Neither of us finished our glass. We found Chester Market after leaving and wished we'd gone there instead.

Stopped off for a quick lunch. Delicious.

One word : amazing. Absolutely amazing place. Amazing food, amazing staff, amazing drinks and amazing atmosphere. First time visiting this place, and was not disappointed. Outstanding pizzas. The best pizza I’ve ever eaten, nothing comes close to the pizza bases and toppings here. I don’t go anywhere else for pizza! Try the carbonara pizza, it’s defo a favourite in our household.

Can hear how poorly the manager treats staff which reflects in the places food and service. Poor.

First and last time coming here. Toppings slide off and too chewy. Extremely overpriced and very rude manager. Go elsewhere.

We had an amazing meal and Hannah was superb - she is a true asset to the business!

Delicious pizza. Had one of each base original was fresh and light and delicious, the Turin base was different but very fluffy and almost like a focaccia as a pizza base. The service was okay food took a little while to arrive but nothing to complain about. The atmosphere was incredibly quiet, we were seated by a the front door despite the downstairs being fully empty, with delivery drivers coming in and out. Music choices however were exceptional!!

So good. The dough is so soft and light. Just excellent excellent pizza.

The best pizza I've eaten since visiting Italy, Authentic pizza that isn't too heavy and amazing homemade tiramisu, visited Augustos now on 4 occasions and it only gets better!

We have visited Augustos twice now and both times received great service and even better food! I can't think of a better pizza I have had in the UK and the owner is so friendly and welcoming. Will be back again soon to defend our all you can eat record!

I was staying in Chester for just one night, and was looking for a place to eat that would not be overcrowded and loud (as are most pubs and restaurants on a Saturday evening). There was plenty of room on the top floor and a quiet ambiance all through the place. I was warmly welcomed and given a choice of tables, and the waitress gave me clear explanations of the choice of pizzas: two different types of dough to pick from (not for all preparations). I was quite hungry so I settled for the 32cm classic Napolitan base, with Quattro formaggi topping. That was easily the best 4 cheeses pizza I ever had (and we have a very large population of expert italian pizzaiolos in Belgium). The originality being that no tomato sauce was used, just a generous layer of cheese. And as a gourmet, I can assure you that these were not run of the mill products, but carefully chosen ones. A glance at the rest of the menu sets this place apart from the million pizzerias where the same bland recipes are repeated with little imagination. The chef clearly wants to offer the customer an enjoyable experience and have fun preparing it as well. If you have a chance, try the place and try it again until you have sampled all that is on offer, I am sure you will never see pizza the same way!

This is a fabulous place! The pizza is outstanding with unusual and authentic toppings, and they serve a pizza none of us had ever had before from Turin, really delicious! The owner Fabrizio was fantastic as were all the staff. In a great place just down from the New Market, I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

Very slow service, pizza is overpriced and mediocre. Stile Napolitano is far superior. Disappointed. Will not return.

Great Italian restaurant with nice pizza and very friendly service.

The pizza here is OK: if you like your dough doughy then you’ll love it, but imo it lacked a bit of that “crisp” needed for a perfect Neapolitan pizza. It’s a solid choice though, but there’s better. However, the burrata starter was phenomenal… don’t miss it.

Very friendly accommodating staff, pizza from another world, the scotch olives were also amazing. It's dog friendly and a lovely space too to frame it all. Look forward to our next visit 😊

We love Augusto Pizzeria - regularly dine in and order takeaway. The staff are great, especially Maddie who is really diligent in looking after us. Whether it’s for a last minute or planned meal, they nearly always manage to make room for us.

Best Pizza in town!!! We’ve been here a few times already and it never disappoints, the carbonara pizza is absolutely unreal and the meat stuffed olives are a great starter. We will definitely come again and again, can’t recommend this place enough!! 10/10

This restaurant is clearly run by someone with a passion for authentic Italian food. The pizza was phenomenal, and so large that I shared half of it! For a delicious (and affordable) pizza and excellent customer service, I highly recommend.

Delicious, authentic pizza served by friendly, knowledgeable staff. We were a group of adults and kids seated right opposite the pizza oven so we got to see them all being made! We felt very well looked after and had a brilliant time, we'll be back!

Review Was excited to eat here after reading all of the brilliant reviews on TA, and it’s safe to say our experience matched up with others!! We thought the 25% off offer included the 9th feb as that’s how it read on the advert, as did a few other diners but they said it ran out the day before. A shame but didn’t dampen our night! Incredible pizza, lovely atmosphere and the staff were amazing. Ashley our waitress, was the cherry on top! I had the carbonara pizza, which was insanely good!! Would love to come back and try a pizza with a Turin base. Cocktail menu was impressive! We asked for a wine recommendation from Ashley too and it was perfect! We couldn’t decide on puddings so ended up ordering one of each! The custard gelato was delicious, went very well with the Nutella calzone and the tiramisu! Will be recommending this place to everyone!

We came across Augusto completely by chance but what a lovely surprise that was! Delicious Neapolitan pizza, made to an absolute perfection. If you don't fancy thin crust, the restaurant offers "turin" crust - fluffy, crispy and just as perfect. The waitress welcomed us with a quick introduction and a brief explanation of the menu - something so simple, yet made us feel very welcomed. We also had a chance to meet the owner or at least he appeared to be one - I'd love every owner to be as dedicated to their businesses as he was. Charming, attentive and ready to help his staff. Overall, we were extremely impressed by this lovely little restaurant and we can't wait to come back.

Amazing little find! Popped in for date night having never been before, we sat upstairs, it was a perfect atmosphere with absolutely lovely staff! We had the calamare and a platter starter which were amazing, the cheeses on the platter were authentic Italian cheese we’ve never tried before. Followed by two huge pizzas, I think by the 3rd piece we were full but had to finish it as it was phenomenal! Really fluffy crust and great flavours! (We ended up bargaining to share slices cause they were both some amazing) the Manager took our order quickly to get ahead of a large booking and the food super quick! The three female staff were very attentive and made our date night ever the more enjoyable! Thank you for such amazing food and service! We will definitely be returning!!!

Took a close friend for a belated birthday lunch. The best pizza I've ever tasted. Next time I'll give the Turin base a whirl. The space is loft-like, functional with a few quirks. Serving staff lovely and had a great open conversation with the owner Fabrizio who was amiable and highly knowledgeable. Have booked to go back on Xmas eve. Cannot wait.

Great Neapolitan style pizza in Chester

Authentic Italian pizzeria. (Why are people not queuing out the door??) The host, who we presume to be the owner, from Torino (Turin) was very welcoming and made sure we knew about the offers on that day as well as talking us through the different types of bases they use. They have the classic Neapolitan pizza base but, if you haven't already, you really must try the Torino base. It is a nice deep pan base with a great texture and satisfying crispy edge. The calzones were very tasty and the stuffed focaccia better still. We walked in for a casual lunch while visiting Chester but when we're next in town we will quite possibly be making a beeline for this place.

Went here for my birthday and found a gem! Had a great meal and the service was excellent, booked another visit for tomorrow as a result. If you like authentic Italian pizza done well then this is the place to go.

Fantastic gem of a Place. The Calamari was light, Crisp and delicious. The Turin Pizza's are extraordinary, never had anything like it. Absolutely delicious. The owner and staff are extremely polite and friendly, looking forward to our next visit already. Would really recommend a visit.

Our visit to Pizzeria Augusto was a delightful experience. The pizza, whether classic Neapolitana or Turin-based, was truly amazing. Going on a Wednesday was a bonus as we got two drinks for just £10, a real bargain. And let's not forget the delicious Nutella pizza dessert! Without a doubt, if we ever return to Chester, Pizzeria Augusto will be our top choice once again.

Visited this restaurant on a Saturday lunch time . Had the veggie Calzone, and spicy Calzone really good and the Tiramisu was one of the best I’ve ever tasted . Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit .

Enjoyed my evening at Augusto. The pizza was great, I had the Diavolo and it had lots of lovely Nduja and the base and crust were delicious. Wasn't quite as impressed by the tiramisu dessert, decent sized portion but didn't have much coffee flavour. The staff were friendly and helpful but not the fastest service.

Visited 11/3/23 We ordered a sharing starter, 2 of the deeper base pizzas and 2 sides, and one dessert between us. Everything was simply superb. We were even forewarned the order may be a while due to staffing issues, but everything arrived promptly and our two servers were very attentive! Not to mention one of the best wheat beers I've tasted. Well played, will definitely be coming back.

Unsurprisingly good. And if you know Fabrizzio you must know that he wouldn't sink his soul into a project unless he is confident it is worth it. Im an exremely difficult person to please with pizza... and I'm beyond pleased. Im writting this before desserts and actually seeing the bill, and I'll just tell you is worth it. If all the pizza you've had so far was only from fast food joints, I'll bet London to a brick that you've no idea what true pizza tastes like. I was like you too, until I dined at Augusto pizzeria. Pizza at Augusto's is NOT like your normal pizza, it's phenomenal with each bite. Chef's special carbonara pizza is a must try, it was fantastic. If you're looking for a smaller pizza but packed with flavours and tastes of a bigger one, the Turin style pizzas are the go to, they are crisped to perfection and cooked to set new standards. Special shout to waiter Lucas and waitress Cat for being such sweet and friendly people who made my solo dining experience even more fun, congrats to chef Kalo and back of the house team for convincing me with your dishes that Augusto is the best pizza place in Chester!
