A favourite in Chester. Been 3 times and always excellent across the board. Lunch menu is affordable and high quality and the atmosphere is great. Good for occasions and easy parking next door at the NCP.

Met an old friend here for lunch. Warm welcome, great menu choice, food was beautifully cooked, service was first class. Lovely vibe and pretty reasonable pricing. Will definitely visit again.

Very busy restaurant but we never felt rushed or delayed. The small plates (Pinxto) are a great single-bite way to sample lots of dishes. We all enjoyed the food at this Mediterranean focused restaurant.

There were five of us, (two couples and a grandaughter). We had been given the table requested (great start). Our waitress Anna checked if there were any allergies, (dairy and gluten) and did everything to help our grandaughter to find the right meal, what was brilliant about Anna was her knowledge of what food our grandaughter could have and checked if everything was going well. We had a great table, brilliant service and lovely food what more could you ask for.

Had an anniversary dinner here and it was totally worth it. Scott was quite gentle with his service to us and he was also helpful to make our dinner satisfactory. Small starters are worth to give a try. Sirloin was very balanced with salt and sides were tasty.

Revisited Artezzan yesterday for a delicious lunch. Service was exceptional. Sincere thanks to Charlene who looked after us so beautifully. She discussed my dietary requirements with me and then with the chefs who adapted a dish for me which was delicious. Charlene was so welcoming and friendly and really went the extra mile. The ambience, decor, food and drink were all fabulous. Great, too, that although the toilets are upstairs there is a lift. Our visit to Artezzan for lunch became a truly great experience in every way. We’ll be back soon! Well done and a big thank you.

Food was delicious and plentiful. I had a small issue which was resolved immediately and the staff went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied with the resolution. Would definitely recommend

Nice roast dinner and nice beef. Friendly staff. Less vegetables than expected. Only 1 potato a bit unusual. Served on a wooden board also unusual for such a traditional dish. Priced higher than typical Sunday roasts but not sure if is justified. Soft drink also significantly more expensive than expected. Nice day happy customer.

Service was ok, what you’d expect anywhere really. Disappointed with the quantity and definitely the quality of the food. We had Sunday lunch and it lacked any flavour. I had biscoff calzone for dessert and you’d think, how could that disappoint! But it did. We vote with our feet and wouldn’t go back.

We had a fabulous Sunday lunch experience. Beef and Porchetta were excellent as were the dishes we ordered from the main menu. The two courses for £25.95 is great value. Staff were attentive and personable. Highly recommended.

Just had a lovely evening there with 4 friends. As a Coeliac I was well catered for. It would have been nice to see more choices on the starter menu and there was nothing except sorbet for desserts. That said, the service was phenomenal. Thanks especially to Kira who went out of her way to make sure everything was good for us. Really lovely restaurant and I'll definitely be going back.

A great restaurant for girly drinks and a meal. I have visited for both lunch and dinner and have always enjoyed. Fully appreciate the clearly labelled menu as a vegan. Lots of options available. A 3 course meal can be enjoyed by vegans, vegetarians, pescatarians and meat eaters. Upstairs is quieter than downstairs. Toilets are clean and are situated upstairs. The highlight is always the churros! Can't wait to return to have more.

Our second visit to Artezzan and both times we’ve been impressed.. Tonight especially we had a fabulous evening. Myself and fiancé came in for a date night dinner.. The front of house staff, the waiters/waitresses were all so welcoming, attentive and friendly. They could not do enough for us. The atmosphere was fab and everyone having a great evening. We had the mozzarella stromboli to share to start which was delicious and I would highly recommend which came with a mouthwatering red pesto/garlic butter dip. For mains we had a ribeye steak with truffle fries and a chicken primavera which again was delicious. We could not fault the entire evening. One of the owners, Jim, came and sat with us at the end and introduced himself which was a lovely touch, and I think our lovely waitress may have been called Kiera.. we were certainly given the VIP treatment and we will be back. Really busy the night we dined here, so quite noisy, service was fantastic, food was honestly really good. Dessert menu was the highlight! Sooo many great puddings 😋

AVOID THIS PLACE!! 🚩 My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant last Friday because he was craving carbonara and we trusted the positive reviews. We started with a Pepperoni pizza, as nothing else appealed to us. The crust was thin and chewy, and the tomato sauce was runny, almost liquid. For the mains, my boyfriend ordered carbonara with penne instead of the original pasta, and I had pasta with chicken, carrots, sugar snaps, and pine nuts. Both dishes were dry and bland, with almost no sauce. The carrots in my dish tasted stale, as if they had been boiled days ago and left unrefrigerated. To top it off, our food took 50 minutes to an hour to arrive, despite placing our order quickly as we were quite hungry. They did discount our bill, though I’m not sure by how much, but that didn’t make up for the unreasonable wait time and the disgusting food. We were too hungry to leave and wait another 20-30 minutes elsewhere after already waiting an hour there. It was a complete disappointment. Despite the saying that hunger makes food taste better, bad food is still bad, no matter how hungry you are. I do not recommend this place, for me it’s a big No-No!!! AVOID!! I don’t have any pictures because I’m only used to capture things/food I’m impressed with, which was not the case.

Had a really lovely meal here on a Saturday night, service was excellent and the food was delicious. For me, the only slight improvement could be to add a vegetarian pasta dish; as the current options on the menu were either meat/seafood or vegan. Having said this, our server was very accommodating and more than happy for me to order a chicken primavera without the chicken! Will definitely be coming back.

Nice central location. Paella was nice looked spectacular and the carbonara was rich, not a classic version but still delicious. The service was fast and attentive and the chocolate torte was well made. Only improvement would be a slightly more relaxed atmosphere as it was quite noisy but overall a very positive experience.

We had an amazing meal tonight and served with one of the most loveliest guys I have met in hospitality called seb. Very attentive nothing was too much trouble! It was very busy due to the races but it didn't feel ir as everything was on point. No long waits and food was delicious and hot!

Amazing restaurant! We’re visiting our friends in Chester from coming over from Australia and they had picked their favourite spot in the city. It’s now our favourite restaurant ever! The food was unbelievable, we shared amazing ponchos and I had the lobster ravioli thank you thanks to the persuasion from our waiter Scott we had cheese cake for desert! And what took this restaurant to another level was the service Scott was so friendly and knowledgeable, also was interested in how we ended up coming to the restaurant and seemed so passionate about his job. A lovely young boy which the restaurant is lucky to have!

Big shout out to Seb - wonderful service and a lovely funny guy who made our evening even though it was busy with the races. Steak cooked perfect for my liking. Anna was equally as friendly, and a real positive member through a packed restaurant. Well done 🎉

Solid place to go and eat, I enjoyed it here I would not say its the best place in Chester (in this particular area) but still really good.

We came to Chester with our daughter for her Birthday. We were immediately greeted and asked to take a:seat at the bar. We chose our wines got the table which had just come available . Glad etc booked as it was busy. Our waitress was called Tegan, she was busy with her tables, but you’d never know. She chatted to our daughter and made a fuss which was so sweet of her. The food was ordered and arrived in good time. I’d ordered the slouvaki which was envied round the table. All the food was fantastic. We will return.

Great atmosphere, stellar service! A variety of delicious menu items and cocktail options to choose from.

Don't bother, not worth it. Worst Sunday roast I had in my life, everything was burnt/dry and so hard that it caused ulcers in my mouth. The chicken souvlaki had so little chicken that you could've mistaken it for some other vegetable, there was more onions on the skewer than anything else. I definitely won't go there again, I don't know what the hype is all about.

It was nice, we got a mix of seafood and steak dishes, food wasn’t bad and service could’ve been better but they were busy at the time x

We were looking for the perfect place to celebrate our son's 21st Birthday and after reading some of the fantastic reviews about Artezzan booked a table on Monday evening. We had high expectations but they were exceeded in every way possible. Firstly, the service we received from Scott was exceptional. He managed to strike the perfect balance of being attentive but not obtrusive. He was friendly and helpful when making our orders and delivered everything with charm and perfect timing. The extensive menu is superb, so much so that we had trouble deciding what to eat. We decided to start with a range of pinchos and they were delicious. For our main courses my paella was superb and my son's king prawn linguine was really excellent. My wife is vegetarian and was really pleased with the range of options available and loved her tortellini. After this we were so full I was the only one to be able to manage a dessert and was so glad I did! The Greek doghnuts were amazing and it has been a long time since I enjoyed a dessert so much. There were lovely touches throughout the evening which helped the evening feel very special. The fact that the place was packed on a Monday evening shows how popular and well regarded it is in Chester. We cannot thank everyone at Artezzan enough and cannot wait to return.

Very nice restaurant, the food was excellent. Especially the mezze / starters. In actual fact, my partner and i regret not having more of them instead of the mains.

It's a wonderful place, it's very calm and they have a very caring staff, ashure, friendly people, an excellent service, an excellent fish dish, manabrea draight, amazing mixed seafood, one person can easily be satisfied, just go in without thinking and eat for your effort, the menus are very satisfying, I also recommend other friends. I came here for the first time, inspired by your comments, but I was very pleased, you will be satisfied too.

Had the chance to have lunch at Artezzan. If you are in Chester or nearby you definitely have to eat here, the team, the ambiance and the food where absolutely amazing. And don’t forget the order the Calzone from the dessert menu 🤌 it’s AMAZING.

Got my gladrags on and had an amazing dinner out here last night. I had red snapper pan fried with king prawns, sautéed cherry tomatoes, samphire, pickled fennel and lime dressing. Absolutely delicious!! Amazing food, brilliant staff, and fantastic atmosphere! I'd highly recommend. But definitely book ahead for a table! Fantastic!

Very nice restaurant. Unfortunately, the dauphinois potatoes were a disappointment, but the problem was quickly solved. Staff were extremely helpful, and the atmosphere was buzzing.

We visited this restaraunt without having made a booking … because it looked very busy and everyone seems to be enjoying the atmosphere. We were most fortunate to secure the last table for 2 waited on by Becca, a beautiful friendly young lady. It was a Sunday and Becca steared me down the path of the Roast special … a great recommendation that I loved. My wife had the lobster ravioli (which she is still raving about 2 days after the visit!)

We visited for our 10 year anniversary and WOW. The staff were outstanding and couldn't do more for us. Even though it was a very busy Saturday night we were greeted with a friendly relaxed waiter and we never felt rushed or like just 'another' table. The whole team went over and beyond for us all night. As for the food, the lamb tagine was without doubt the nicest dish I have ever tasted. Unbelievable place. Will definitely be back

Seb our waiter in Chester was fabulous, very attentive and welcoming. Food was banging.

Disappointed visit this time. We've visited here before and food had been lovely. Having travelled an hour to get to the restaurant we where excited to be back... We decided to opt for the carbonara in the cheese wheel this time. The server stated he'd never made the meal before, but we didn't think anything of it to be honest. Upon eating it was so dry, and far too cheesy, as someone who loves cheese even I found it difficult to swallow. The guanciale was few and far between and wasn't crispy or tasty. Apart from the one strip ontop, not two as advertised. We explained this to the server who said authentic carbonara doesn't contain cream, I didn't mention cream and I replied I know it doesn't contain cream, we've eaten it in Rome and make it at home. He did apologise but we where still charged for the mains despite being unable to eat much of them and being disappointed, nor offered an alternative. Upon leaving a different server who has served us on past visits (lovely guy!) asked how our meal was, we explained and he apologised (not his fault), and explained the kitchen wasn't the best that evening. A shame as we've enjoyed the other food in the past. The starter was nice and dessert however, but not sure if we'll return as we were disappointed.

CAME HERE FOR A BIRTHDAY DINNER AND WHAT AN ABSOLUTE DISAPPOINTMENT IT WAS! THE SUNDAY LUNCH HAD CLEARLY BEEN SITTING SINCE 1pm (NOW 6pm) BECAUSE THE YORKSHIRE PUDDING WAS AS TOUGH AS PUTIN, THE MEAT WAS DRY AND THE DESSERTS BLAND. THE COCKTAILS WERE BATTERY ACID! THE STAFF DID NOT HAVE A SMILE TO SHARE BETWEEN THEM! TRENDY DECOR THOUGH.

We had a lovely dinner here - my partner & I just had a few pinchos as we’d had afternoon tea earlier that day, my parents had full mains though. The menu is so big & varied so we had a lot to choose from. There’s also a great selection of cocktails as well as non-alcoholic beers. It was a nice busy atmosphere for a Thursday evening and the service was great. I would recommend the croquette pincho but personally didn’t enjoy the doughnuts or cheesecake as much. Lots of seating inside but no outside seat, toilets are upstairs.

As usual we had a fantastic time at Artezzan Restaurant and Bar in Chester. We booked for my birthday, food was as usual delicious with fantastic service from the staff headed up by Joe. Thanks for making my birthday evening a great night. If your driving in to Chester there is a carpark at the back of the restaurant. All the best to the crew. Jon Stobbs

Came here on the 7th May 2024 for dinner. The decor was elegant and modern without being over the top. We were greeted immediately by a member of staff who showed us to our table. The menu had a good selection to choose from and was of reasonable price, and the food was amazing!! The staff were all very friendly and happy to help special shout out to Chris nothing was ever to much trouble. Would recommend this place 100% We had a truly fantastic experience here.

Had a business dinner in a Sunday for 18 people so arranged a set menu three course. Food was very good and reasonably priced for the quality. Will go again with my partner.

The food is amazing, I went as a group of twenty folk, the service was excellent, & every dish was off the scale delicious. Apparently they are thinking of a new venue well I sincerely hope they choose Southport we will be there every week.

Patats bravos came a little late so when the bill came, the patats were excluded. Also no mysterious service charge sting added at the end. We left a big tip to compliment the excellent servers. Everything is good about Artezzan. We will definitely return.

A lovely evening from start to finish! The new spring / summer menu is a must try highly recommend all the dishes we tried… Prawn starter & scallop belly pork starter, the prawn and octopus orange pasta & lobster ravioli as well as the truffle fried (flavours are just wow). We saved room for the cheesecake too and you’d be silly not to do the same! Jess gave us a lovely experience throughout - thank you!

On a weekend stay to Chester we booked a table here & were not disappointed.An amazing, fantastic place. The staff were all brilliant, but especially our server Scott. He was friendly, attentive and such a lovely young man - there was a slight mishap with a drink being knocked over one of our party but he dealt with it swiftly & maturely & profusely apologised which he didn't need to do. We cannot praise this young man enough. The food was served quickly, was piping hot & tasted amazing as well as being presented perfectly - I only wish we lived nearer so that we could eat here more often! Would highly recommend here.

Booked a table last night for our anniversary. I mentioned about doing something special since I wanted it to be a surprise. We had the Keftedes as a starter which was really nice. For mains we had funghi gnocchi and king prawn scallop linguine with a greek pizza. Unfortunately there wasn’t many non-pork options for us. My husband’s gnocchi tasted really salty halfway through eating which our lovely server offered to replace but my husband told her not to worry. I had to keep reminding them about my special request, which was a bit frustrating. But everyone was really nice and they took the gnocchi off the bill. Service charge was not included for a party less than 6 apparently, which I thought was a bummer since my husband and I we’ve both worked in hospitality and know how exhausting it is. I forgot our server’s name but she was this lovely tall blonde girlie. She even made sure our food was halal and/or not touching any pork bits. Give her a raise x

Visited yesterday for Mother’s Day What a gorgeous roast we had . The beef was amazing and pink! Can’t stand chewy grey beef! Roast potatoes had been done lovely and went rock hard like most places that pre cook them all then quickly fry. Cauliflower cheese yum! Only minus point was Yorkshire pudding as they were very crunchy haha! My son’s pizza was huge (he’s 5) and covered in so much cheese ( a big plus!) the kids menu was so affordable too We can’t wait to come back to sample some of traditional Mediterranean food.

I love Artezzan so much that I decided to come with my family for my 23rd birthday! The food was absolutely incredible, as alway--so much so that I don't have a favourite I'm always delighted by everything I try! The service was also incredible, especially so with it being my birthday. Special mentions to our fantastic server Libby, you were incredible and made the night feel very special for me, as well as making all of us feel very comfortable and welcomed. But all the staff are very attentive and friendly. We come here a lot and will be coming back!

Good points first. Food was great and staff where lovely. Bad points, waited by the bar area until our table was ready, not a problem, but table area was dirty and needed a real clean( doesn't create a good first impression) We where seated over by the widows next to another couple, my wife and the other lady had to keep their coats on as it was very cold by the windows. And lastly the way the tip was suggested on the card reader I found a little pushy. Minimum tip was 10% then 15% and then 20%,. I may add there was an option for no tip, but I still feel your being judged if you select this. Personally I don't need to be asked to tip. If the whole establishment exceeds my expectations I will give a generous tip.

I've been here twice now and I've got to be honest. Both times it was because of work trips; though the service was great, I'm so sorry, I absolutely hated the food. It was the mains which I truly disliked. The first time, I got the sea bass - I found it bland and flavourless, it just felt like eating fish in a white, bland sauce. On the second visit, I tried the Vegano (this was a vegetarian pizza, part of a set meal). Though this was better, it was far from the best. The sauce lacked flavour, the toppings (butternut squash in particular) were Not working. A simple Margherita would have been fine if the sauce was better. Another gripe is about the menu itself. I guess it suits the general customer base, but as someone who doesn't eat food with pork or wine (in this case I didn't eat the meat dishes in general since they weren't halal), the menu is very limiting. Many of the vegetarian dishes had alcohol too which was dispiriting (pun intended haha). Anyway, for the good parts - the service is very good, the waiters were helpful. My primary complaint was with the mains. The starters were actually very good (I tried the Arancini). For dessert, I had Loukoumades which were delicious but too chewy.You dont mind at first, but after the first two, the excessive chewiness becomes annoying. I'm not sure if I'll have to go again but wanted to leave an honest review. Pictured are the Arancini starter and the Loukoumades.

Fantastic service, fabulous food, the staff were super friendly and discreetly attentive. We were celebrating my partner Kevin's birthday and I wanted him to feel special whilst I knew he didn't like to be made fuss of. The staff did a superb job, we were very impressed, just perfect! A special mention of our server Gordon and his beautiful colleague (a young dark long haired female whose name we didn't catch but whose smile and attentiveness definitely made the evening even more special)💖 We will definitely be back!

We have just returned from our lovely night in Artezzon. The food was excellent and the Irish waitress, Sherleen, was great. She gave us a great welcome and explained each different Tapas dish, er will certainly return soon.

We had made a reservation for our anniversary and, from arrival to leaving we were not disappointed. Far from it. An elegant young lady welcomed us and took us to our table. A congratulatory card and two glasses of fizz greeted us. Such a lovely touch. Lots of menu choice and each dish was served well cooked and presented. (Pics provided) When we left, we had been so impressed, we asked if we could speak to the Manager. Our waiter went one better and got the owner!! We had to tell him how good his staff are, from front of house to the kitchen staff and everyone in between. They are all a credit to him and his partners. Many thanks for sharing our special day. We are so glad we came.
