The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Italian food

Quiet but it was a Wednesday evening, bruscheta was very nice as was the carbonara, staff great.

Went for my friends 21st was lovely food and atmosphere, we were served by the lovely Paulina who made it extra special :)

We love this place and visit often, but this weekend it was our wedding anniversary, the lovely ladies even brought us an anniversary card, it made us feel very special this was so sweet. The staff are always very welcoming, kind and professional, whenever we visit, and the food is always amazing and so fresh, Woburn Thai is definitely one of the best Thai restaurants we have ever been to.

So I’ll start with a positive …. We booked a table after visiting previously where the food and service was excellent. We brought some friends and on arrival were shown promptly to our table. The restaurant was busy and had a lovely buzzy feel however …….. we waited nearly half an hour to be asked if we’d like drinks, we ordered a bottle of red and a chilled bottle of white. They arrived 10 minutes later … with no glasses. We waited another 10 minutes for the glasses to arrive after having to ask the rather abrupt waitress … the glasses had clearly just come out of the dishwasher as they were red hot so had to wait another 15 mins for them to cool so we could pour our wine. Our starters were nice but the main courses … I ordered the lobster tortellini from the specials board …. What arrived was a seafood ravioli which was so salty I couldn’t eat it. The pollo alla crème was rubbery and not nice. To be fair, when the waitress asked if our meals were ok and I said about my pasta, without hesitation she said she’d take it off the bill. We were so disappointed as we’d really looked forward to it after a previous great experience - not likely to return sadly

What an amazing gem of a place. We went for drinks and light bites and the food was amazing. Lovely atmosphere outside on a warm summers evening. We can’t wait to go again.

First time back since new owners have come in. It’s been a while since our visit to Stefanos and naturally we wondered if it was as good. Greeted with warm friendly staff, free bread and sharing starter we knew it was going to be a good meal. The wine was perfect temperature, the food was served perfectly on time, the free potatoes with the main meal were all lovely touches. The food was unbelievable, the value for money with the children’s meal was outstanding. Puddings served fresh in the open kitchen behind all finished in minutes. We booked back in before we even finished the bottle of wine. It’s not just as good as before, it might even be better… Bravo 👍🏻

It's a small, family run restaurant. The food and service are excellent. The a la carte price is also very reasonable. The lunch time set menu even more reasonable! Need to book another visit soon.

I ate here this evening on my own having read the reviews on Tripadvisor, and very pleased that I did. I had the risotto (Risotto al Polo). Perfectly sized portion, delicious freshly cooked flavour. Prices were very reasonable for the food and the drinks - and kindly no service charge added to the bill. I would very much recommend and hope to return sometime.

My favourite restaurant, never been disappointed.

We've been here numerous times over the last few years and it's always a lovely atmosphere and great service! Very child friendly and the food is delicious and great value. We'll be back again soon!

What a wonderful host Massimo is, he always gives you such a warm welcome and what a talented team he has front of house and in the kitchen. We were four generations at the table and the menu caters for each age group. It was hard to get past the delicious warm homemade bread with olive oil and rosemary but three baskets later we did! Fabulous food, best pasta eaten almost in silence, an extensive wine list, stylish decor, real linen and great stories too -we can’t wait to return! Thank you xx

Was staying in the area for the first time and will definitely return if I'm in the area again. Staff were lovely. My friend had aricini balls for starter and I had the fried pasta . Both delicious. I had pizza which was amazing and my friend loved her mussels. House red was good too.

What a lovely evening, food was fabulous, value for money, great warm atmosphere and the young staff were amazing, a must return for us, just easy.
