Good food and great wines by the glass

Had a lovely brunch there with great service from a gentleman. This was however ruined by the manager who proceeded to berate this single employee in front of us repeatedly. The manager continually threatened to dock his tips loudly and kept going on for several uncomfortable minutes. When we attempted to provide feedback, the manager was unreceptive and rude, refusing to look us in the eye. He just repeatedly said “Thanks for the feedback…great feedback.” The employee seemed like it was regular behaviour for him to be maltreated like this on a daily basis. Such a shame as we love this place but will not support an establishment that hires such managers to manage their team - this is simply not the way to treat people.

Nice wine selection and outdoor space. Sadly, we were served mouldy grapes on our cheeseboard and were given the excuse that 'it is because they are organic so this is normal'. Only got a very small discount once we asked at the time of payment. Dealt with the situation pretty poorly

When I saw a rare free table during brunch I knew I had to take advantage of my luck - and Golborne Deli did not disappoint! We ordered Eggs Benedict Golborne Deli Style, and it was delicious. I loved the crispy pancetta. We also tried a toasted ciabatta of salami, roasted artichoke and mozzarella and it was so good and reasonably priced that I’m tempted to stop by for that sandwich every time I’m in the area. I highly recommend trying it. 🙃 If they could only serve fresh juices as well, then it would be perfect.

Bogstandard brunch. The bread was nice. Hungarian goulash (front) The big breakfast (rear) There are nicer food places 3 min walk away just around the corner.

Amazing wine! Polite, kind, fun and knowledgeable service (by the Italian waiter, sorry I don't remember the name!). Not cheap but you definitely leave happy. Very tasty nibbles

Absolute favourite deli in Notting Hill. When I used to work in the area, I went to the deli almost every day for 3yrs. The big breakfast and freshly baked croissants are particular favourites of mine. The food is always freshly made, delicious and their lattes are superb. The deli is split into two parts, one for fresh produce, sandwiches, fruit/veg, hot drinks and the other side is the wine section with seating inside. The bar section takes reservations and it stays open until 10pm Wed-Sat. I personally love the outdoor seating area - sitting outside with a coffee and a slice of carrot cake in good weather is unbeatable. It does get seriously busy on the weekends with big queues! Saying that, it's worth the wait. It's also in a very trendy part of Notting Hill/Portobello Road. Highly recommended for food and coffee lovers. 10 out of 10.

We stumbled upon this delightful deli while exploring the area, and what a find it was! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service. The quaint ambiance added to the overall charm of the place, making it a perfect spot for a cozy meal. Each dish was bursting with flavour. We ordered the vegan soup, spinach pie and some salads. Overall, we can't recommend this deli enough. Will definitely be back when I am in the area.

Ahh I love it here! There was a queue when we arrived but am glad that we waited. Even though it was freezing cold, we sat outside under the heaters! To warm us up we ordered the soup of the day and one of the toasties. Both were super delicious but the soup was my favourite - I wasn’t expecting it to taste of cumin but it was super flavourful! I also ordered an oat latte and almond croissant, which were both sooo good!! Will definitely be making a return to try their wines and other delicious foods :)

My favourite spot on Goldborne road - if it's great wine you're after, or an aperitivo, or special item groceries this is my spot. the team is awesome and very friendly. Feel like home at this place. Great for a date in summer.

One of my favoritest casual dining places in any city--and I've traveled a bit . Wonderful breakfast and light meals. And the the deli part has great offerings -eggs, smoked fish, cheese, prepared foods, superb baguettes and pastries. And while you're there, check out the Goldborne wine store next door!

De passage dans le quartier, nous avons fait une pause déjeuner ici. On commande son plat au déli et on s'installe soit une table à l'extérieur, soit à l'intérieur du wine store. Le service à table est très rapide. Lors de notre venue, au menu du jour, il y avait des lasagnes déclinées en version boeuf et veggie et servies avec une salade de tomates, c'était très bon. Nous aons pris un petit verre de vin en accompagnement, c'était parfait !

Went to sixsixthree in golborne for afternoon tea and drinks for a hen party the afternoon tea wasn't that good we had to ask for jam and cream for the Scones then was given cream cheese instead of clotted cream, we got a piece of brownie and we had to wait a very long time when we ask for it to be changed in the end we left the scones because some of us had put the cheese on our Scones with jam it spoiled the day really

I walked past this place, saw the food, and knew I had to try it! The menu had so many options but I landed on the veggie lasagne. AMAZING! You can taste the freshness. Highly recommend and can’t wait to visit again once I’m back in London.

Nicest place on Golborne road. Food was tasty and good portion and wine drank nicely. They have a diverse menu for breakfast and light lunch, and an extensive wine list. A good selection of soft drinks and cocktails are available too. The downside is it can be/get really busy and, under pressure, staff may not be friendly.

We each had a Bloody Mary. They’d put too much chilli in it and not enough Worcestershire sauce. It was hot but with little flavour. No celery either. Service was unusual

We’d eaten here before, it was good. Until today that is. The waiter (early 30s) was so rude and abusive, I left. When I told him I’d write a Tripadvisor review, he threatened me with the POLICE (second lot of verbal abuse). Nice when you’ve come for a quiet sandwich and coffee. The manager heard the first part of verbal abuse and said nothing. I went instead to Flying Horse, where the staff were charming and I had an excellent sandwich and coffee, without any verbal abuse.

If you want to try amazing wine in a lovely atmosphere and also get some wine recommendations, this is the place! Wine selection is amazing and food is great, too!

The place is wonderful, great coffee and great food. The staff however is extremely rude and unpleasant. When I accidentally sat in someone’s table (that looked free), the guy came up and told me it’s his spot. I immediately left the table and asked the waitress if I could sit at another one. When the problem was long gone, someone from the crew came and literally yelled at me for sitting at his table for half a second, when the guy who’s table it was didn’t even care that much. The place is alright but isn’t worth feeling like the entire staff judges you and hates you.

This place has a nice vibe. Feels like eating in a wine cellar. The cappuccino my girl ordered she said was excellent. The food looked and tasted amazing. The portions were very nice as well. Great experience.

The Golbourne Deli used to be a lovely place to go but I'm pretty sure it has changed owners.. They have removed lots of seating inside and have now turned the space into a wine shop and deli, the only seating is now outside. The food menu is also not as good as it once was. The staff are also rude and dismissive whereas before they were friendly and polite.

Great neighborhood breakfast spot. Nice tables outside. Walk up and grab a spot. Have a variety of sandwiches, eggs, and toasts. Few pastries and quiches as well. Really great matcha latte - strong and not watery.

Love it. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced food for London and good atmosphere. You can sit and watch the world go by. In winter they give you blankets. 😉

Just simply love the soup and coffee

We come here every 2-3 weeks and it’s always consistently good, tasty brunch food (some options a bit more indulgent than others). Coffees are good and they have plenty of deli stuff (cakes, salads, juices) to take away. Also half of the shop is a a high quality wine store (£15 upwards), if you feel like spoiling yourself. We usually sit outside - there’s a covered area with heaters and blankets. It may look cold at first in the winter but the heaters keep it comfortable.

Coffee was fine. But the Greek style pastries tasted old and very bland .For almost £9 each a real joke . Thats it , nothing more to say !

Went here on Friday night for a birthday celebration, there were 8 of us sat inside and we had the most fabulous night, the staff could not have looked after us any better, the wine was superb, as was the food. We champagne, red and white wine, cheese boards, charcuterie boards and a tuna and pepper board. We would definitely come here again, lovely spot, great staff, great food and drink and really reasonably priced.

Joined a friend who lives in the neighbourhood for lunch. Really nice young man named Frankie served us. He had an encyclopaedic knowledge of wines and gave a great recommendation. The shop has extensive wine selection, each marked with a brief description. Great wine shop with deli next door. You go next door to order. We chose the soups - very best lentil I’ve had and my friend an equally delicious red chicken curry. We also had panini sandwiches which were excellent and could have easily shared one. The Pollo was the best. All food on display in the deli looked fresh and appealing. Food is delivered to your table. There are 2 tables indoors & a large outdoor seating area in front. This would be a go- to if I lived in the area!

Always can count on Golborne Deli for a gooooood brunch. I had the avo+mushroom on sourdough and it was obviously delicious. Coffee was amazing too. Perfect for a hungover morning!

Had lunch at Golborne deli and really nothing special.. the menu was very basic but so was the food to be honest.. some things very garlic-you. Anyway it’s been the second time I visited and unfortunately I wasn’t impressed again, actually quite disappointed. Also service is meh

I have been going to Golborne Deli every day to get or have lunch for the last 3 years so fair to say i am a good and regular customer. The vast majority of the time the staff are very friendly and the food is always good. This is now the 2nd time i have had an unpleasant experience with one of the male staff who was making the food behind the counter today. I was having take away eggs and toast to stand outside and eat. I asked if he could butter my toast and he snapped the bag from me and with very begrudging buttered the toast . Lacking any customer liaison skills fired the bag back at me and said that is the last time i do that. Have to say I am extremely shocked and upset about his manner considering I am a regular customer. It was totally unnecessary very very unpleasant and now i will consider if i will take my business elsewhere. Maybe they dont care but it doesnt cost anything to be pleasant and in these times i would have thought all business' want customers?

Esta agradable y concurrida tienda de delicatessen y cafetería se encuentra junto a Portobello Road en el área de Notting Hill y es un buen lugar para tomar un café, un refrigerio o, en nuestro caso, un almuerzo ligero. Tuvimos la suerte de conseguir una mesa para nosotros tres, el servicio es muy bueno y la comida llegó rápidamente. Se puede comer en casa o para llevar y hay mesas en el interior y en la calle. Es un poco ruidoso estar tan ocupado pero muy divertido y seguro que volveremos.

Can’t get enough of Golborne Deli - the menu is so expansive and everything I’ve tried is delicious I’d recommend to everyone to try it out (but don’t make it too busy as then I won’t be able to go)! It always feels like good and hearty, healthy food. It’s a bit further up from the hordes around Portobello on a Saturday, but would absolutely be one of my Notting Hill top picks. Golborne Road is a total gem in West London.

Located at the end of the visit to the Portobello market, this small restaurant allows a vegetarian relax for breakfast, brunch or lunch, with delicious salads (such as panceta salad), a good selection of artisan breads, tasty scrambled eggs or interesting Italian sausages.Everything we tasted was delicious and the decoration was nice, a pity that it was cold to be on the terrace.

Fabulous cafe on Golborne Road. Great atmosphere and food and service are both excellent. Douglas in particular provided wonderful service with a smile! Very helpful and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. My weekend go to place for an excellent breakfast experience!

Excellent bistro away from crowded food stalls in Portobello Market. We went there last Saturdan and had Vegan toasts, english breakfast, juices and coffee. The food was excellent, very generous portions, the service was also very good.We will be back.

We went to Golborne Deli by recommendation and really enjoyed our Fat Cat Breakfast. The service was quick and attentive, the food yummy plus good people watching when sitting by the open window. We will definitely return! Ivan our waiter was absolutely great!

I don't normally write reviews on here but I had such an amazing service, I thought it was worth giving a review. I've been to the deli a few times now and the food has always been tasty and the staff are really friendly. I went last Saturday and was served by Douglas - even though it was very busy, he was so friendly and such a good waiter. We went through all the specials and my friend was vegan and he told her about all those options too. Definitely will be back soon! Thanks Douglas!

Great place to go to for brunch on a sunny or rainy weekend. Cosy interior or awesome seating in the sun where you can people watch. Food is great, fresh and service is friendly quick! Douglas was especially good! Will come back on the regular

We meet up with some friends for a Sunday brunch. Golborne Deli is a typical Notting Hill trendy place where the decor has to be very bohemian and a bit scruffy. The tables are small and we felt a bit squeezed - but trendy people will put up with anything to be seen in the right place. To be fair - the food was excellent and the staff were friendly. So do go there for a nice brunch, if you don't mind all trendy BS

Stopped for coffee and breakfast in this quirky independent gem. Portions perfect, ingredients fresh. Delicious. It’s really cosy, good vibes. Highly recommended as a refresh & refuel stop whilst exploring the Portobello Market & Nottinghill.

I'd love to give this place a bad review as being excellent can be boring. However, this place was excellent.

I am a regular at this deli, I come at least once a week. The breakfast is delicious, I almost always have the veggie breakfast. Very food. I can also recommend the chai latte.

I had a really good salad, amazing, also an amazing waitor called Douglas!!! Loved my experience. Will definitely be making this my regular!

I popped into here last Saturday afternoon, attracted by the menu and buzzing atmosphere outside. I had my tiny senior chihuahua on a lead with me and I felt the staff was pretty unwelcoming with nary a smile and more than one look of annoyance when I walked in. For the prices of food items- £9+ for a salad!- you’d think they’d be a bit more welcoming. I spent £15 on the detox salad for takeaway and two cacao energy balls. I ate the salad for lunch the next day and it was quite nice, especially the barbecued tempeh bits. But a small portion for the price! I was still hungry after. (I went to Panella further down the road that Saturday and had much more welcoming experience there and lovely food).

Fuimos allí la semana pasada y tengo que decir que el sandwich ciabatta era excelente, el café era también uno de los mejores, sólo decepción fue que olvidé mi limonada, pero aun así lo puso en la cuenta! Aunque en general recomendaría, el personal era muy amable y atento.

En primer lugar estoy muy local a la deli encantadora, sin embargo, sigue siendo una delicia para visitar. Tienen mucha variedad para el desayuno y almuerzo. Muchas opciones sin gluten, tartas veganas y ensaladas. Siempre voy por el gluten de avena con leche de almendras y gratis el deli deliciosas bayas tienen que ir en la parte superior. El matcha latte también es tan delicioso!

The place is fantastic. Really nice location, food and staff. I had the big breakfast and was very very full after but still made room for the carrot cake. it was outstanding and the top was a little different with hints of coconut. The service with great, Douglas served me and was friendly and polite. He had a smile on his face and actually recommended the cake. Would recommend this place all round.

The Golborne Deli and Bistro manages to serve delicious, unpretentious and healthy food in a friendly atmosphere with shared tables and helpful service.

Tuvimos un almuerzo con amigos y niños en sábado. Fue encantador. La terraza al aire libre estaba lleno, pero vigilado dentro de la mesa junto a la ventana. Mis huevos benedictinos eran para morirse. Mi amigo tenía el avo y el tocino en una tostada muy agradable. Los niños tenían pasta que era nada extraordinario. En general una comida muy agradable.

Went to Golborne Deli for some breakfast as I was exploring the famous Notting Hill and Portobello. The atmosphere there is brilliant. Food was amazing. So many things to choose from: breakfast, brunch, specials and soups. The different kinds of bread really takes it that step further. When I got there it was quite busy, and was told that a table will be free soon. Had a coffee outside while the table was being turned around. I was recommended to try the chicken avocado salad and to add goats cheese by one of the staff, Stephen. The salad had an amazing taste and the goats cheese they use is really good and it definitely stands out from store bought. All together had an amazing experience and would definitely recommend for anyone to try the food or even to go for a coffee. Last but not least a huge thank you to all the staff of Golborne Deli.

I've been a regular customer here for over 2 years and its by far my favourite spot in portobello. whats drawn be to this place is the service they offer. Though they have a crazy turn over in staff but I'm always very sure that they will recruit amazing floor staff. My experience here everyday is never disappointing. id really like to thank a special staff member that is always so attentive and pays so much detail to my order and even remembers it! Douglas. He's been such a great addition to the team!

I love this place and blessed it's still there. I used to frequent it for lunch when working under the Westway and brings back memories when I return.
