The restaurant has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We started with the Parmigiana di Melanzane, which was rich and flavorful, and the Calamari Fritti, which was crispy and well-cooked. For mains, the Spaghetti Vongole stood out with its fresh clams and perfectly balanced sauce, while the Saltimbocca Romana was tender and full of flavor. The Pizza Tartufata, with its truffle cream and Parma ham, was indulgent and well-executed. Service was quick, and the portions were generous. While some dishes were a bit on the pricier side, the quality of ingredients and the cozy ambiance made it a great spot for a classic Italian meal.

We were in London for 5 days and had such a great experience for lunch here that we went back for dinner a few days later. Andre and his staff are pros. Unbelievable food (that rivals any Italian restaurant in the city) at a great price with impeccable service that brings you back. The ambience is wonderful.

Italian restaurant that we loved. The treatment was fantastic, very friendly and attentive to everything. The food is phenomenal, both pizzas, pasta and risotto. Delicious appetizer and own bread. Very close to Notting Hill station and Portobello Road. More than recommended.

I was only in London for a day, staying in Noting Hill and really wanted pizza. Found Portobello Restorante and WOW 🤩 I had the mista salad, diavalo pizza and the BEST LENTIL soup I’ve ever had. Seriously, currently trying to find a similar recipe online. If you’re in Notting Hill, I highly recommend!!

An exceptional experience at the Portobello restaurant in Notting Hill! The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, always smiling and caring. At the end of the meal, they even offered us limoncello, an adorable gesture that demonstrates their generosity. Credo che ci sia tanto di meglio e non consiglio assolutamente di cenare in questo posto. Abbiamo speso 100 Pound... Costo totale di una cena avendo preso una pizza e un calice di vino ciascuno €50.

Last Sunday, I had the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful dinner at this restaurant, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it. It is one of the best places I’ve ever had the chance to eat at. The service was phenomenal, and the chef came out to greet us, offering recommendations and answering our questions. We were there as a group of 7 women, and each of us was delighted. I especially loved the slow-cooked beef dish, which practically melted in my mouth; it was so tender and delicate. The pizza was also amazing, as were the appetizers. I must return during my next visit to London.

Chicken with pompello potatoes is nice, four cheese pizza is nice, margarita pizza is nice, it's not good that their beer is only 33cl. We liked the tiramisu…

The food here was luxurious and rich, but we still had room for dessert! I would call this a hidden gem for sure. The servers were lovely, and really good quality seafood. I would recommend the oysters and the boscaiola pizza! Will definitely be coming back here for sure.

Gasté casi el 10 % de la factura en servicio, sin embargo, ni siquiera había una servilleta sobre la mesa. El pollo que pedí me conmovió hasta las lágrimas debido a su crudeza. Homemade food and good service.

The Portobello Restaurant is a true hidden gem. I was struck by its authenticity and warm welcome. A small jewel of typical Italian cuisine in London thanks to the highest quality raw materials mostly made by them which brings the authentic passion for the flavors of the past. The staff was extremely kind and willing to tell the story and love of Italian cuisine. It's a place that makes you feel at home and so many delicacies, the bread is delicious, the pizza is delicious and it's true that we Italians have art at the table ❤️ I recommend everyone to go 👍🇮🇹

An amazing cozy evening in a beautiful Italian restaurant. We felt like we were on holiday. Extremely wholesome! I recently visited the restaurant for lunch and had a mixed experience. The lunch menu was decent, though nothing particularly spectacular. The pizza stood out as a highlight—well-prepared and flavorful. Unfortunately, the spaghetti frutti di mare was a bit of a letdown; it had too much sauce, which overwhelmed the dish, and the flavor didn’t quite hit the mark. That said, the meal ended on a high note with a delightful tiramisu, one of the best I’ve had in a while. The cappuccino was also exceptional, perfectly made and a great companion to the dessert. Special mention goes to the waiter, who was attentive, friendly, and made the experience much more enjoyable. Overall, while the food was hit or miss, the excellent service and the standout tiramisu might just bring me back.

Average.. wouldn’t go here again. All pizzas tasted the same, but the arancini was very nice. Also very expensive for what it was.

Had the squid pasta special at Portobello, and it was fantastic! Definitely worth it. Will be back soon.

I dined there last night with my Wife and we were served by the very charming Luigi. We were greeted warmly and shown our table, Luigi explained the specials and we took his suggestion on two of the appetizers which were great. Very happy and when we were leaving we got talking as we though Luigi was the Owner also as he was dressed elegantly and he told us he was not. We have just moved to the area and will definelty be back, hopefully when Luigi is on rota. see you soon.

A gem. Good flavours, attention to detail. Had the mussels, rocket salad and pork medallions with mash - one of the best pork medallions I’ve hade - soft and tender with a great mash and sauce. And the tiramisu was to die for! Great selection of Italian wines. Will definitely go back.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, making us feel right at home. It felt like having a meal with old friends who genuinely wanted to ensure we had a great time. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, bringing smiles to all our faces—especially our very tired 10-year-old daughter. They even went the extra mile to set up a chair for her teddy bear, which absolutely made her day! The food was delicious, but it was the exceptional service and welcoming vibe that truly made this one of the nicest family meals we've ever had. We left with full hearts and bellies, grateful for the accidental discovery of such a lovely place. We’ll definitely be back next time we're in town!

I found this restaurant by "mistake" while I was walking in the Notting Hill area, with the curiosity to always try Italian food we decided to go in and we weren't wrong, we hadn't booked and we were lucky that we found a free place, we ordered a starter and two buffalo pizzas which were delicious, the staff very kind and professional, a nice atmosphere that I recommend from the heart. I would definitely go back

Painfully slow experience tonight. Staff seemed understaffed. Poor management and bad atmosphere. This place needs music or something else for a better atmosphere and all you can hear is loud voices. The food was ok, wouldn’t come back in a hurry.

This is a restaurant I happened to stop by while visiting Port Bello Market. The service was very friendly and the food was really great. In particular, the friendliness of the staff was at a hotel level. I visited with a baby sleeping in a stroller, and they guided me to a comfortable place and even packed leftover food for me. Don't go to a crowded tourist restaurant, but come here when you visit Notting Hill. But the price is high.

I wanted to comment on the bad experience lived with the treatment of the boss named Joy to her employee while I was eating. Humiliation, he shouted to such an extent that the poor employee couldn't do it anymore and began to cry. Of course the last thing you prefer to see nowhere and less while eating. It was a real shame, all the tables looked at each other without giving credit for what happened

We went I and my sister in Notting Hill to visit , then accidentally saw the restaurant, we checked the reviews and we was happy with what we read and saw. The restaurant was actually full, just few tables free, we did asked for a table, the staff was very nice and friendly, smiling to everyone and helping in time. We served pizza and starter, it was a very good pizza that I ate after long time in London. The restaurant is clean and a very good atmosphere. I really recommend you if you want to try it.

We were passing by on our way to look for another restaurant when we noticed Portobello. It was very cute and cozy looking. The menu posted outside had great options so we decide to eat here. The service was fantastic and the food was even better. We all stated that it was the best dinner we had all of our trip to London. Highly recommended.

This was a spontaneous evening decision, on a day where time got away from us and we suddenly needed to find dinner at 9pm. And what a spontaneous decision! We had two of the days specials, a homemade ravioli in aurora sauce and a dish with monkfish rolled in pancetta, and it was absolutely heavenly! I had to order some bread to sop up the remaining aurora sauce, it was so good that leaving any would have been a sin! The place is small, intimate, a little noisy, but ultimately cosy, and we had such great food that we were sad we only ate there on the last evening of our vacation. We would have loved to sample some more of their menu!

Super fun and chill Italian food and the waitress was kind and interesting. The pizza are huge and for a city where everything is small and expensive, it was a nice but unexpected surprise The general atmosphere was pretty and nice and the food came quickly. We also got a free little veggie dish and it was much appreciated. Service was outstanding and sometimes that’s more important than food.

As a first impression, the restaurant looked very posh. But the reception was very kind. All staff were attentive and polite. We were served by a very fun and polite italian lady which has suggested me an amazing pizza flavour and a wine to my cousin. We felt very welcome and 100% satisfied with the service.

The food was good, the service was Italian friendly. We were sitting in the front area, where the chair fur was completely wet, so I jumped up with wet pants. The water ran under the table, wet feet included.

It would have been a 3-star review if it were just for how we were received in the first 30 minutes. It was my boyfriend bday party. So we booked a table for 15 people, 12 adults and 3 children aged 2-3 years. We were in the outdoor room, and as soon as the children arrived, they started playing and running around, even in the indoor room. Dario, who was probably managing the indoor room, kept insistently asking us to keep the children still at our table! As if it were possible for toddlers to stay still and maybe even quiet in one place . However, understanding the situation, I personally went to try to apologize and clarify the situation, but he very arrogantly replied that it was not his problem how to keep them still, and in his opinion, the people inside would have left otherwise, and that it was the parents' job to do their work. How impertinent! I am Italian and I have been here for 10 years, but honestly, nowhere else have I felt so badly treated. He intruded into the personal sphere of his customers, which shows how little seriousness and competence the waiter has. I have been to Locanda Locatelli with my son, and he was taken to the kitchen to meet the chefs because he was so friendly and smiling. Beyond that, which is the negative part and made me feel uneasy for the first half hour, everything changed thanks to the special and unique service of Alfonso! The atmosphere truly lightened up, and he is a waiter who is really attentive and caring to all the customers needs. I was truly impressed by his service’! Additionally, the food was absolutely top-notch! The appetizers and pizza were IMPECCABLE! Great quality for the price! We will definitely be back, making sure to find Alfonso again with his friendliness and professionalism 🤭 Thanks again ❤️

Portobello has a cozy atmosphere and good service. The wine recommendations were great. I had the spaghetti which was good, and my friend had a pizza, which was alright but a bit too soggy. Good place for a quaint Italian dinner.

My husband and I visited the restaurant for lunch,,ordered calamari fritters which were inedible at all they were very hard(undercooked) and we order fresh sardines which were very salty,,,as if they had been taken out of the salt (like pasted sardines not fresh) The Black Truffle Pizza was relatively good the pizza dough a bit burnt on the edges the prosiutto on the piste was quite stale The bottle of white wine was not brought to us chilled as it should have been and the prices quite high for the quality of the food they serve Espresso very good I wouldn't prefer it again and I don't recommend it to everyone 😏

I have been a regular of this restaurant for 11 years and it never failed to impress me: I took countless friends, clients, relatives, dates and celebrated many anniversaries to the point that I can say It feels like a second home to me What’s so amazing is that they won’t cut corners: the ingredients are all top quality and imported directly from Italy, the staff is friendly, attentive and genuinely care about the client having an amazing experience , the atmosphere is super pleasant and relaxed and … the pizza is unbeatable: I promise you, you won’t find a better one anywhere else! Plus they have a wonderful wine selection and the pasta and fish are to die for… aubergine parmigiana and the paccheri with veal ragout are second to none And … don’t forget to leave some room for their tiramisu and signature torta caprese 😋😋 Trust me, if you are looking for a corner of Italy in London you’ve found the right place And chances are you’ll become addicted to it just like I have 😉

A very quiet option for eating at the entrance to Portobello Road, London prices, but the food is really good and plentiful and the attention from the staff is excellent. We ate several types of pasta, pizza and some starters to share and it was all delicious

We were regular customers in this restaurant, but returning after some time we found a completely changed environment , the food is always good but what made it special was the welcome of the manager who made us feel important, unfortunately this has now changed. we will return to try again but we already know that it will not be the same! however the pizza was better before.
