Bella Italia in South Gloucestershire

I enjoyed my time in this restaurant. The waitress was excellent, I wish I had noted her name (small petite dark hair). I am coeliac and really appreciate the care they take making sure the food is gluten free (marker flags and menu); well done Bella Italia. The food is really tasty and well presented. The portions are small and fairly expensive, but the staff and infrastructure makes up for this. My second visit here and will return again. Many thanks.

Visited the Filton branch of Bella Italia on a wet and miserable night. The interior was warm and inviting. The waitress who looked after us was attentive and helpful. We ordered the tomato bruschetta and prawns as starters. I ordered the vegetarian pizza and my partner the lasagne as main courses. All the meals were presented well and cooked perfectly. All the courses tasted great.

Very poor experience. Service disappointingly slow, hair in one of the meal, toilets smelt and limited availability on kids menu

Yet again we ate at Bella Italia, Filton as it is convenient for post-shopping food. As always we enjoyed the food, always reliable but also made so so welcome & catered for like Kings by Corina. She is, as I have said in earlier reviews, an absolute star. The most stellar of service from this lovely lady

We visited on bank holiday Monday and had no reservation for the evening. At the point we entered 80% of the restaurant was EMPTY. We were told that the restaurant is fully booked and there is no availability for an hour. We went to a neighbouring restaurant for our meal and whilst going back to the car, had a peer into Bella Italia and it was still empty!! Terrible customer service, rude and just pure incompetence. If I’m in the area again, I will make sure to avoid. It’s just Bella Italia, not the Ritz.. how are you turning away custom when your restaurant is empty. Will not visit again.

Best Bella Italia near me! We have tried cribbs causeway but wasn't as nice as filton! Jack was our waiter and it was a very busy night but he was very quick and helpful with providing us with with our drinks and food He was very friendly and looked after our table. Nearly £4 for a can of fizzy drink is extortionate! Whether it be coke or orange juice, this is still an extreme rip off. Fairly ordinary desserts £7 each and portion sizes of most of the 10 main courses we ordered were very much on the small side.

The food is pretty much what you would expect from a chain but even so it comes up to the mark. Service is quick and well organised. Friendly staff here, something that too many in the service industry forget.

Got together with 14 others for a 3 course Christmas Meal. Fabulous food (loved the Festive Pizza) and atmosphere. Best of all were the fabulous and attentive staff. Hard working, all the food was hot/cold as it should be, they ran up and down the stairs so many times and nothing was too much trouble for them. A perfect get together - brilliant!

Lovely, tasty food. Prompt service, food and drinks arrived quickly. All staff were really friendly. Only slight negative was that pasta dish was a bit on the small side.

Visited last night, on entering the restaurant it has a bright and vibrant atmosphere, very spacious, greeted and seated within five minutes asked immediately if we had any special dietary requirements. The menu has lots of variety and caters for vegetarians, vegans and gluten free and not just one or two choices either!! We had a house red wine and we’re given the option to taste first, the wine was very nice on the palette. The staff were very friendly and attentive Lydia mainly attended our table, Lydia was able to explain anything on the menu and knew the food well. We did not wait very long for our starters to arrive and not too long between courses, all of the food was very well presented, hot and very tasty! Good sized portions too. I cannot praise this lovely restaurant enough will certainly be visiting again! Thank you Bella Italia.

We booked a table at Bella Italia last minute on a Saturday evening for a group of 7 (all family). We were pleasantly surprised at how good the service was despite it being the weekend and also Valentines. Our waitress Corina was fab and very accommodating, especially with my elderly grandparents who cannot hear so well and need people to not rush with them. The food was great and arrived at the table quickly and still hot, we also ordered desserts which were all delicious. Would 100% go back again.

I had absolutely gorgeous time at Bella Italia Abby Wood last week when I visited it with one of my besties. We were immediately greeted by a smiley and very approachable waitress who offered as lovely booth table and checked if we have any allergies. Few minutes after she came back to take our drink order, as we were ready to order food already we have placed whole order. (we visit this particular bella italia quite often so we know the menu of by heart!) Whilst waiting for food we were enjoying absolutely gorgeous espresso martinis and some ice cold water. The food came out promptly, delivered by one of the managers on the shift - Emma - was an absolute delight as she entertained us with fun, quick and witty conversation! Last time I went to Bella I had vegan bolognaise which was the best food I had in a long time, well cooked and very tasty. Other than that the stuff was as expected, very nice and friendly. The place looks so amazing that we all would not leave. I will totally come back.

After having a bad time at a previous visit to Bella Italia (not this one!!) my heart sunk when my company announced when we would be going to Bella Italia for our Christmas meal.However, I was taken back and very surprised about how wonderful and amazing my food was. There was 6 of us at the table and we all ordered 3 courses from the menu. I went with Calamari, Chicken Bacon and Mushroom pasta (can't remember the name of it!) and then a giant fresh cream eclair for dessert. Well - the food was all amazing! The pasta dish for main was amazing, the sauce it came in was cooked beautifully and then the dessert... well that was something else. I really was not expecting it to be as big as it was and then when the waitress came over with a jug of warm chocolate sauce to drizzle over the top of it, I was SOLD.To be point I ordered a pizza to takeaway for my other half at home.I WILL BE BACK!

We went to find a meal on a Wednesday night at 8pm and everywhere around Bella was closed. It wasn't my first choice but there wasn't many other options and my wife likes it (I'm not really a big fan) so we went in. Luckily enough they were still open and serving. I had Bruschetta, Pepperoni Pizza, and Cookie with Ice-cream for dessert. My wife had dough balls, Carbonara, and the same desert. The food was hot, and tasty. I was pleased with the flavors and quality of the food. I don't eat here often so I don't know what to expect, but I was hoping a bit more for a more authentic Italian style pizza, which it wasn't, however it was still good. My wife's carbonara was creamy and she really enjoyed it.The reason I am writing the review is the waitress, I think her name is Danna, was outstanding. She was very attentive ensuring we had everything we need. She was pleasant and cordial and did all of the things you would expect someone in the service industry to do. Where I come from customer service is placed at the forefront of the food industry, and I don't feel in the UK that level of service is important to business as generally speaking it feels like wait staff just don't really care about their customers. Danna was not like this at all. She provided one of the best experiences I've had in a long time from a waiter/waitress. If we return I will only eat here if she is working and we sit in her section.

We had a lovely family meal here on Wednesday. The food was very warming and with good portions. I'd recommend the pollo funghi especially! Low quality pizza with some sort of dried tomatoes probably off, and tomato sauce of the type you buy at Tesco. Ordered mixed salad and poured some Extra Virgin Olive Oil Bella Italia brand, that spoilt the salad. Infact that was NOT extra virgin olive oil, and not even olive oil but more likely some sort of oil. I felt cheated and mistreted as customer. Needless to say don't go there, there are far better place to enjoy Italian food

We visited Bella Italia for a Friday lunch. The moctails were perfect for a non-alcoholic beverage. My friend had a Salsiccia pasta recommended by our waitress, Corina. I had my all time favourite, Gamberoni. We finished our meal with coffees. Our meal were tasty and the service was also outstanding. Corina and the bartender were very attentive. We also had a lovely chat with Emma the manager too. Everything was amazing.

Food was lovely. For what you pay it’s worth it. As a Gluten intolerant customer, staff are incredibly knowledgeable on allergies which makes you feel so at ease. Molly was especially lovely! Great service happy and chatty too! Thank you!
