The best restaurants serving Irish food in England

What a gem of a restaurant! Great atmosphere, great food and excellent service from Jason. Not your normal menu with variations of seasonal favourites. Congratulations to all involved - this gem is well worth a visit.

Great friendly staff the food is spot on especially the breakfast

Sports-themed city centre bar (with an emphasis in Rugby). Nice layout, friendly staff and customers. (Bar lady Imogen particularly friendly). Good beer with great offers. Food good. Only problem: the door doesn't close properly and needs fixing, as there can be cold drafts in the winter.

Hay tres grandes pubs irlandeses en Slater Street, Durty Nelly's, Lanigans Irish Bar y este pub llamado Fitzgeralds Pub , los visitó a todos en una noche de febrero amargamente fría, 1 calle que visitamos era Fitzgeralds Pub, he estado aquí antes en muchas ocasiones a lo largo de los años, siempre lo pasamos bien y así lo demostró en nuestra última visita a aquí. Un bar de servicio de madera maciza domina la sala principal, fotos de celebridades irlandesas adornando las paredes, decoración y mobiliario del pub, pantallas grandes para disfrutar del deporte y un montón de opciones de asientos repartidos por todo este pub tanto en el interior como cuando hace buen tiempo afuera mirando a la concurrida y bulliciosa Slater Street, es solo un pub realmente bueno para relajarse. Pedimos cervezas a Carling Brewery, estas se servían en excelentes condiciones, ya que estaban heladas frías y espumosas y simplemente nos relajamos, nos relajamos y empapamos del gran ambiente en este concurrido y popular pub mientras bebíamos nuestras cervezas. Mi cerveza era muy buena, una cerveza crujiente, estilo lager dorada rebosante de sabor y muy fácil de beber, especialmente cuando se sirve frío helado como en este pub, no es sorprendente que este pub es tan popular entre las cervezas servidas en esta buena condición por el personal que está genuinamente contento de verte en su pub. Ambos disfrutamos mucho de nuestras cervezas aquí antes de seguir adelante y aunque nuestra visita fue solo fugaz como en cualquier otra visita a Fitzgeralds Pub nos lo pasamos muy bien. Fitzgeralds Pub es fácil de localizar a lo largo de Slater Street, una calle y zona repleta de pubs, bares, cafeterías y restaurantes. El horario de apertura es; De lunes a jueves, abierto de 2 a 14 horas. 30 pm. Viernes a domingo, abierto de 10 . 30 am. Definitivamente un pub para comprobar si estás en la zona.

Great experience in this place. Reasonably priced for the portion sizes. Our boy loved the American pancakes with syrup. Sausage sandwich & toasted tea cake also very good. Coffee very nice indeed. Lovely staff & nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend!

Please turn down the multiple TVs, otherwise we love the great staff and food pretty consistent except for the chowder which was a bowl of veg with hardly any soup

Great pub for watching football ⚽️ The staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice and relaxing atmosphere and a top pint of Guinness

My grandparents and I came for lunch and we had some amazing fish finger sandwiches, so crispy and a great sandwich. We also had the small plates which were also really delicious. thank you chefs!!

A good place to go for breakfast

Excellent cafe, really lovely friendly staff, wonderful butternut and lentil soup, fantastic raspberry and coconut cake and very well priced.

Classic Irish bar. Good Guinness and Gin & Tonic. Good service from Alex 👍

Loved the ambience in my son's local pub . Very relaxing atmosphere, lots of space so could sit on comfy sofas inside without being jostled. Lovely outside area too. Only downside was that although my husband and son are drinkers, after a drink or two I prefer a coffee, however despite this being a good sized pub coffee wasn't available, which I found disappointing. It wouldn't stop me going there though, lovely pub, highly recommended.
