Went here for the first time on an Itison deal at £25 for two. Had a madri lager at £5.50 and a Diet Coke at £2.65 whilst we looked through the menu. Deal was 3 starters and 2 mains with rice and nann. We started with poppadoms and spiced onions as an extra at £4.95 and got a good portion. Ordered veg pakora, chicken chaat and desi fried chicken which came on a platter and was warm and tasty. Mains were lamb masala (which came with a supplement of £1.95) and chicken jalfrezi. Again food was warm and tasty and served with a warm plate which is always a bonus. Even had a second Madri. The toilets were spotless and service excellent. Very good experience. Only minor down sides were that there was too much oil with the jalfrezi and I don’t see the need for a supplement with the lamb. That said, well recommended.

Came to this newish cafe with a couple of friends for evening snacks. The cafe mainly sells Indian style coffees, teas and snacks, although these do have traditional western dessert and savoury options as well. We all went for the Karak Chai for drink, six small doughnuts and I also got a Omelette Wrap. The Karak Chai s a little bit like the classic Masala Chai, but not as sweet as it's normally made in India. That actually worked for us because none of use are sweet toothed. It's nice being able to taste tea and milk. The Omelette Wrap is like a burrito, except the wrap was a paratha. The filling was a mix of scrambled eggs, unions, chillis, peppers and I think tomatoes. Only mildly spicy, the filling was like eating a nice homemade omelette with all the aforementioned flavours coming through. The doughnuts have the option of topping and we went with just plain sugar and Nutella. The doughnuts are definitely smaller than average and each could be finished in a few bites. The doughnuts were okay, not because of the size, but the doughnut were a little heavy and not especially tasty. Overall, I would come back.

The most depressed barmaid I have ever seen by around 3 football pitches. But actually it's quite an attractive feature. Not to be missed. Get yourself a warm can of Guinness with a free scowl. I love this girl.

I lived in south India for 2 years and this is what the food was like! Price:competitive about $14 for a great entre Style: Casual family style Food selection: South Indian Cleanliness: high Service: could have been more attentive we called them over each time we needed them Location: westend Setting/Atmosphere: Natural light augmented with well-designed interior lighting. Noise level when it’s busy is moderately high but broken by the booth style seating. There is a comfortable amount of space. Finishes are pragmatic. Dining materials are plain and simple. Music volume is a little high but not obnoxiously so the style was indian modern.
