Out of this world. Food was delicious and hot. Full of flavour and spices. The server was lovely and she helped me find my way round the menu, as I wasn't sure what was what. Thank you!

There are a few excellent Indian restaurants in Glasgow and this is one. Never had a less than delicious meal. Service always good. I've brought international guests before and they have loved it. Atmosphere, nice and relaxing. Recommend

We ate at the Dhabba with friends Saturday 15 Feb 2025. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food is fantastic. We all loved it. We will definitely be back.

Was really looking forward to this having spent time in North India and hearing Dhabba was very authentic. Sadly the food was just OK and nothing to rave home about and have definitely had better curries elsewhere in Glasgow. The samosa and gol papa starters were pretty authentic but the curries we had lacked flavour or depth. I wouldn't return. Staff weren't that attentive although they were friendly and helpful.

A slightly different take on North Indian food from the classic British Indian restaurant, and that's a good thing. Chaat style starters rather than the usual pakora or bhajis. Tandoori tikka options are absolutely delicious, and come with a choice of interesting sauces. Achari tikka is absolutely delicious. Draught Kingfisher, which can disappoint elsewhere, was in top condition.

Primera visita por un tiempo y lo importante es que la comida era tan buena como siempre - pollo con mantequilla era muy bueno y los entrantes que probamos eran todos muy sabrosos. Durante un viernes por la noche, sin embargo, fue un poco tenue con unas cuantas mesas vacías y tomó un tiempo para ser servido una bebida que nunca es bueno. Tasty food for both vegans and omnivores. All three of us devoured our selections and were left happy and full. The service was pleasant and the atmosphere was relaxing and casual.

We are up here for Showcase Scotland/Celtic Connections and have eaten here twice… it’s that good! Tandoori cooked Monkfish was a delight, as was the Tahl starter to share. A great selection of wines compliment the authentic menu perfectly. Unfortunately, we didn’t have room for a pud, so we’ll have to come back next year!

Visited a dhaba to celebrate a special occasion, and it was an experience to remember! The samosa chaat was a burst of flavors, and the malai kofta? Absolutely to die for—easily the tastiest I’ve ever had. The ambiance was more like a fine-dining restaurant, blending charm with comfort. Every detail, from the beautifully designed menu to the quaint little corners decorated with a rustic touch, added to the magic. Everything about this place was simply amazing!

Cena del sábado por la tarde para 2 compañeros. Comenzaré con la explicación de las notas bajas. El precio es absolutamente demasiado caro para lo que se recibió. Una miseria de un entrante a £ 19 por 2 consistía en 3 trozos pequeños de pakora y otra pepita picada de cordero que aunque caliente en temperatura y alto en sabor era simplemente una miseria para un entrante. 2 currys principales eran cada uno más de £ 20 pero eran casi fríos en temperatura y bastante soso en sabor. A ese precio se podía esperar al menos un poco de arroz, pero eso vino por separado al igual que el pan Nan que era delgado, crujiente y pequeño. Si esa es su expectativa de un almuerzo de £ 80, no dude en visitar, pero en mi opinión un mejor almuerzo podría haber sido conseguido en otros lugares en y alrededor de la Plaza de los Comerciantes. En retrospectiva no es un gran concepto.

Arrived on time for our booking. Food nice but expensive. Ordered a vodka & coke - didn’t ask for grey goose but that was charged on the bill. Staff didn’t ask for preference of vodka. Staff pleasant but at no time were we advised the table had to be given up for a certain time - handed the bill and rushed us out the door after taking a drinks order which included a bottle of wine - didn’t have time to finish the wine which we’d paid for and know where to sit and finish drinks. If we’d known we wouldn’t have ordered more expensive drinks. Bad service and communication of the staffs part. We won’t return.

Uno de mis restaurantes indios favoritos en Glasgow. Menú interesante e inusual y generalmente bien cocinado. Lamentablemente, la comida de anoche se quedó corta. El plato principal llegó en platos apenas calientes y fue tibio. Las guarniciones tardaron un tiempo en llegar, y tuve que levantarme y encontrar personal para apurarme. Resultado, comida apenas caliente, ciertamente no caliente. Parecía poco personal, pero mala organización.

Very nice food and with good company. A little bit on the pricey side but worth it.

The food was average. Not the greatest of service either. Atmosphere was okay. My advice to the management would be to improve their food to match the price and the service especially.

The most delicious and fresh Indian food that you will ever enjoy , it's so tasty and you will want to go back for more! Staff are lovely and give you such a warm welcome.

We went for a let’s afternoon snack on Sunday . Food was tasty and tempting . Enjoyed all the 6 items , gosht kathi roll has a taste closer to kolkata mutton roll , papri chaat , gol gappe , burl puri, jhinga and kulfi

The service is pathetic here. We were served uncooked paneer. We asked for water several times and still didn’t receive any on our table. And our main course didn’t arrive for over an hour after we placed the order.

To be honest, The food was nice and proper "Desi Style", However, So many other amazing Indian place's have arrived into Glasgow, Which in my ' Very long experience ', Makes " The Dhabba ", To Over-priced ( DUE to location + menu ) Compares with many other Indian / Pakistani restaurants Who easily out-do ' The Dhabba ' . Basically, They need to " up-they're-game "!!!!.. Sorry 🙏🏽( I will only speak my heart n truth )

Some of the food items were good like tikki chat, palak paneer and biryani. Paneer tikka, naan were not good. Even though the space was pretty much empty, they were in a hurry to clean up the plates/table even when we were not finished.

Good, authentic and balance Desi food. The ambience is nice and asthetic. Though i feel they can have more options for kids , otherwise, the fish, and Rogan josh is worth a try. Also the Tandoori roti i ordered was one of the best i have had in glasgow. Keep up the good work👍👍

Nice meal friendly staff, I would definitely recommend. Couldn't do enough for us.

Food here was very nice and authentic, however the downside is that if you are going as a large group, you have to order off the set menu, there is no option to order what you like. This ends up being very expensive per person- over £45 per person when I went, although granted this was for a 3 course meal and a drink. The service good and the atmosphere was nice although nothing remarkable

The good is bit pricy comparing to taste to be honest .. the biryani was nice but the butter chicken is not

I recently dined at The Dhaba after having a great takeout experience in the past, but unfortunately, this visit was a big disappointment. We ordered the Malai Murgh Tikka and Paneer Chatpata for starters, and both dishes lacked salt, with the chicken and paneer overcooked, making them quite dry. Hoping the mains would be better, we ordered the Subzi Biryani, but it suffered from the same issues – not enough seasoning, undercooked biryani masala, and overcooked vegetables and paneer. Given our previous experience, this was a letdown, and I hope the quality improves in the future.

Un acogedor restaurante indio en Merchant City, con un excelente menú de comida y bebidas y la comida era muy sabrosa. El personal era amable y servicial. Vale la pena visitarlo.

Excelente comida, realzada por un servicio muy amable y atento. El restaurante es muy agradable de visitar, estaba ocupado a mitad de semana, lo que siempre es una buena señal en mi opinión. No es tu Koorma y Tika Missala estándar, auténtica cocina fresca. Extremadamente sabroso. Gran valor también. Volveremos.

Visited yesterday with my wife for a Birthday meal on arrival it was very quite not what we expected as we have eaten at the restaurant many times over the years and was always busy on being seated and reading the menu we noticed that it had completely changed we asked if we could order vegetable pakora as a starter along with a pickle tray and poppadoms a chicken tikka korma and a lamb rogan josh with indian fried rice and a plain naan bread for the mains also had drinks the starters arrived not what we expected a little tub off broken poppadoms and two small tubs off sauce the pakora wasn't pakora as we know it no sauce and very soft and chewy the mains arrived the korma definitely wasn't a korma my wife couldn't eat it was very spicy and the rogan josh wasn't a rogan josh lamb on the bone with a gravy sauce wasnt great the rice was boiling with peas through it not indian fried rice and a very small naan cut into 4 wasn't the meal we expected we waited about 30 mins for our food to arrive very slow service didn't get what we asked for and it cost us £72.00. Really disappointed!

Best I have ever tasted. After eating curry for about 50 years, I have never tasted anything as good as this. Quiet Sunday evening on my own with work. A cold starter which sounded a bit odd but tasted out of this world. Lentil dumplings with an aromatic sauce of yoghurt, tamarind mint and lime. A hint of heat. Ate the lot with a spoon. Spicy chicken dish, can’t recall the name with a peshwari nan. Everything was fresh and no hint of the usual oily residue. Going back tomorrow and as I’m here all week there is a fair chance I’ll be here every night.

we tried the restaurant for the time main dish was tasty but overall vastly overpriced ie poppadums and dips at about 6 pound was really poor dont think we will visit again.

The place is too good and the food is also amazing. Shehri served us in very good way, we were confused but she helped us alot and suggested items according to our taste. Her hospitality is too amazing, definitely I will suggest my friends and visit this place whenever I will be in Glasgow.

there is no authentication of Indian test, We went there after hearing the name of Dhaba but there was no vegetable dish there and what we got was rubbish.

Tried the Dhaba Khaas Chicken curry and it was average in taste. The ambience was nice. The service was quick. Will return to try the tandoori section next time I visit Glasgow.

Worst indian restaurant. Don't expect good quality food here. (It is for whites, not for ours :( )

I loved the taste. Dal Makhani and Dal Tadka were great. We were in Glasgow on Holiday. We visited the restaurant the other day and ordered at our house the next day. The food was packaged neatly in containers, and there was no spillage. I can’t recommend it enough.

As a vegetarian the food was delicious but most importantly the staff are so welcoming I felt home .. I ordered the paneer makhani masala and nan e bhuraini ( flat bread with valid and cheddar cheese ) crispy and fresh and a salted lassi to wash it down which is a youghurt drink with salt My only comment would be if they had some masala chai ..

Food was delicious, the north and the south indian...the chaats are really good...the chicken and lamb are well prepared...the sambhar was not upto the mark, but the chutneys for the dosas were really tasty...

The Dhabba had wonderfully flavorful food with incredible service. I would wholeheartedly recommend to any friend who is in the Glasgow area.

The food was okay, but not particularly appealing. The service, however, was terrible. We waited 20 minutes for someone to take our order, and once they served us, they never came back to check on us. We ran out of water and had to wait for someone to come by. Eventually, we had to call someone over to let them know we needed more water. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

The worst parantha I have ever had in my life, no stuffing at all. On complaint, the waiter said, this is how it is we make here. Poor service, poor food.

Dhabba comes highly recommended and the location is great. Personally whilst I enjoyed my starter ( punjabi samosa) I found my main course a little underwhelming, it was just ok the lamb pieces quite small and the sauce a bit lacking , the naan bread was not as soft as I have had elsewhere. Overall my food was pleasant but no more than that.

We had a fabulous evening meal at Dhabba yesterday. The food was outstanding, delicious, authentic, flavourful… I could go on as my whole party absolutely loved it. The service was warm, friendly and efficient which enhanced this great casual dining experience with refined Indian cooking. If I lived in Glasgow I would be eating there regularly.

I was hesitant to go here after some recent poorer reviews. But they were totally unfounded! The staff are so friendly and welcoming and the food is freshly cooked to perfection. It's well worth the wait. We got a variety of dishes and every single one was perfect, full of flavour and with generous portions. A mango lassi was the cherry on the cake! Would happily go again if I lived closer.

Good welcome, really nice variety of food and sticking well with the Northern Indian theme. Spicy curry was excellent and we liked the servers.

I recently dined at The Dhaba, Glasgow, and was thoroughly impressed by both the food and the exceptional service. Our group had specific dietary requirements, which we anticipated might be a challenge in a place where standard operating procedures are typically the norm. However, the owners graciously modified their menu to accommodate us without any hesitation. When we expressed our gratitude for their willingness to go the extra mile, the owner simply shrugged it off, saying it was normal. This level of dedication and flexibility is rare and deserves special recognition. The food was delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and catered perfectly to our needs. The experience was made even more enjoyable by the warm and accommodating atmosphere created by the staff. In a world where many restaurants stick rigidly to their menus, it's refreshing to find a place that prioritizes the customer’s needs above all else. May the tribe of The Dhaba prosper! We will definitely be returning and recommending this gem to everyone we know.

In my top 3 currys of all time! All round great, order all the sharing plates plus a curry plus a rice plus roti. Great service and recommendations.

3 of us had the sharer starter and main with a lamb curry on the side. It was a perfect amount of food and the taste was amazing! Monkfish was a real highlight. Go here for your indian

My and my partner enjoyed being able to sample some of northern India’s dishes. And I being a language nerd enjoyed being able to practice my Hindi with the waiters and waitresses - even if it was a bit off. All in all a great place and would definitely return - yes a little pricey but for more than the food it was worth every penny, great staff - and very hospitable … and very nice to have a more casual setting in which I could eat a meal and enjoy chatting away with the staff and improving my Hindi.

What a great restaurant. Southern Indian so Dosa's etc. Food was absolutely lovely and the waiting staff a delight. Very friendly. 100% recommend worth all the 25 points on those 5 stars.

This is my 4th time to The Dhabba and it has been excellent on each occasion. Can’t beat the food, quality and service. There were 10 of us, we had the set menu which is excellent value (2 courses for £19.95) with substantial portions. I’ll definitely be back

First time visit. Quiet on arrival but packed by the time we left. Great atmosphere for a Monday night. The service was first class, and the staff were excellent. Offering a welcome insight to the menu and sound advice on what we should have and what works well together. We had an excellent meal, and the choices were delicious and worked really well together. Service was great and efficient. In all a good experience and definitely going back.

Amazing, authentic and completely nut free Indian food. For someone with a nut allergy this is a literal unicorn. I made a special trip whilst travelling down from Edinburgh (I’m from Cheshire) and it didn’t disappoint. I will happily make a detour here whenever possible.

As an Indian I was delighted to have taken the chance on trying out this restaurant on my one and only evening in Glasgow. We both liked the level of heat, spiciness, smokiness and over all taste of the 4 dishes we tried; the samosa starters with perfectly fried shell and spiced potato filling; the smoky moist lamb kebabs; the grilled broccoli with a creamy subtlety flavored texture; the hot chicken and spinach daal. Had a basket of tandoori rotis on the side. Great Saturday evening meal. Only drawback to such a restaurant serving delicious food is that all tables in this reasonably large dining room were taken and so the wait for the food to arrive was a bit long. However the staff is on its toes and polite, and the atmosphere is one of talkative and casual. Not sure if this is the best Indian restaurant in Glasgow but with such delicious authentic food like this, the ranking of this restaurant is besides the point.

As an Indian, I found the Dhabba very disappointing. The food lacked authentic flavor, portions were tiny, and it was overpriced. Save your money and look elsewhere for genuine Indian cuisine.

If ever in Glasgow you must visit here in Merchant City, staff all very welcoming, large choice in menu, prices are brilliant with the Amazing food, by far our favourite Indian restaurant. Staff not pushy at all, very relaxed atmosphere and nothing was too much for them. Definitely return again, outstanding.

Quite expensive, didn’t like the service, not up to the mark as price Toilets are pathetic, beyond pathetic rather. Beer was quite bad, kingfisher didn’t taste like kingfisher, believe me I had my share of kingfishers

Great place .. lovely ambience.. out of this world indian food.. most of the customers were Asian when we went.. that says a lot for the quality of the food! Recommended if you know your Asian food..

Food was very average. Much better available. Service was good. Come on Dhabba, move with the times you used to be great.

Very nice food and makes a change from standard Indian fare

Family treated me to a lovely Mothers Day lunch here. We had a lovely mixture of very tasty dishes, served very quickly after ordering. We had two children with us, and they were made very welcome. The staff were very good, I hope to return again soon.

We ordered 2 starters, naan and roti along with chutney. The Bhindi sabzi was good and naan was really soft and tasty. Malai kofta though tasted like it had soured and was too bitter. The chutney was too watery and irritated the throat. The staff were unattentive and service was really poor. We had to wave for around 10 mins before they noticed us waving. Also the kulfi tasted really really horrible. All in all it wasn’t a very good experience and I am definitely never visting again.

***Honest review**** Searched for Indian cuisine as the name says and opted. Ordered Dhabba Khas Chicken which is waste of money. No north Indian taste at all . Also Rice quantity served is half bowl which is not atleast 1 portion size. Nutshell , high priced restaurant just for the interiors , food is not good , will not recommend.

Quite amazing and authentic Indian food in the heart of Glasgow. Plenty of indoor seating available. The menu is quite extensive with amazing cuisines. Must try if in Glasgow.

It is not the restaurants fault, it is 'JUST EAT' I am furious, just eat if you do not want me to go to 'Trustpilot', you will reimburse me ASAP, you are ging to lose a lt of customers, and in these hard times you are lucky to have regular customers, but this time, I am NOT letting this go, so I suggest you contact me immediately.

Tick the box, won't be back, there are better places to go. Expensive set lunch at £15.95. The starter and maon were lukewarm. The starter definitely was not fresh/freshly cooked - dry chicken and tough, chewy, coating which should have been light and crispy. The main was okay, although not spicy as we had asked. The one scoop of ice cream was very nice.

I have had many curries but the Bhuna Gosht I had here is the best easily! Will definitely be back.

Best food and good Indian restaurant in Glasgow city.

I've been to Dhabba numerous times and every time the food and service are top class. Every dish I've tried is full of flavour and the servers are knowledgeable about the food and wine and are always courteous and helpful. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Indian food and is visiting Glasgow.

Came here last week with family for an evening meal, whilst visiting Glasgow. The food was out of this world and the customer service excellent. The dishes were all mouth watering and was very difficult what to choose.

Pictured is aloo gobi, Maki aur Matar rice & Murg Kadai. Food, service & atmosphere was great. Would give a higher rating if portion sizes were slightly larger for the price.

Probably the best lamb Rogan Josh I've ever eaten, great mix of flavours in the samosa chaat. An all round delicious meal, highly recommend.
