Really good food & staff is very friendly. We are vegetarian- think the number of varieties are still good specially in the Starters. The dessert was awesome - 'Gajar ka halwa' which is one of my fav!

I have eaten a lot of Indian food in GB and in India but and honesty this place is exceptional. I had Tandoori prawns and my son had Chicken R Josh. Amazing. So fresh. The Garlic Nan OMG The best I have ever eaten. Vicas and Javi were hilarious and great waiters Totally recommend here. We will be back!

Had a fantastic night with my family for dinner. Staff could not have been nicer, such lovely people, took the time to get to know us had such a laugh and most importantly a great meal! The food was outstanding and I will most definitely be back!

Great food and service. The only problem was that we booked for 7.30 on Hogmanay. The confirmation advised that they were closing at 10.30, which was fine. When we arrived we were told they were closing at 8pm and that someone had tried to contact me to advise. They hadn't - no missed calls, no email or text. They allowed us to stay until 8.30 but all felt a bit rushed

Lovely evening with very delicious food served. Spicy pani puri with Desi hot Pani 😍. Five stars for best served pani puri in Glasgow ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ Update: Recently visited in December 2024 Staff and chef accommodated and helped custom made a food for vegan needs which did not compromise the food taste or flavours of the food at all! Kudos! However the owner of the restaurant in suit (who probably was very drunk) yelled at their very friendly and very kind staff. It was very disturbing to see the staff not being treated fairly. It also affects the ambience for the customers who only are there to have the tasty food and good time with their friends and family.

There are some excellent Indian restaurants in Glasgow. This is NOT one of them. The food is inconsistent. Sometimes it’s very good, other times it’s poor. I went on a Sunday. I ordered from the menu rather than the buffet. Whoever was cooking is not a chef. It was bland. The staff are unfriendly. They seem to dislike their jobs. I’ll go elsewhere next time.

Booked her, as going to show at the SEC Armiddilo, had the buffet, had most of what was meant to be available, and due to early deal finishing at 4 pm and late starting at 5 pm, some items were not out in buffet, but, was asked if needed would cook for us. Overall a great meal with what was available. Would recommend.

We tried Bombay Blues for its buffet and I have to say we weren't disappointed. The food was good £20pp and then drinks added. My daughter can't cope with even slightly spicy dishes and the staff seeing she wasn't eating much offered to make some mild butter chicken, which was really appreciated.

Rude staff, raciest behavior. Worst food I ever had. Wanted to try some Indian chats, the waiter behaved very rudely and taken the menu away saying "that's it". The dahivalla was extremely dry and salty. Panipoori was ok. Please avoid at any cost.

Nearly a week later and I’m still thinking about the peas and paneer that they prepared for me. With a generous portion of naan, it was so delicious! If that’s not enough to set Bombay Blues apart, the hospitality surely will. Friendly and attentive service, it was so wonderful to watch our host and server blend seamlessly the Scottish art of whiskey tasting and impeccable Indian cuisine for some other tourists that had come in. Beside me were a couple of regulars that he knew by name. Bombay Blues is now on my ‘must do’ list for my next holiday in Glasgow.

Extremely friendly and outgoing service

The price is affordable, and the location is fantastic, right next to Glasgow Central Station. The taste of the food is impressive, and the hospitality is excellent, making the experience even better. If you enjoy Indian cuisine, you’ll love this place for both its food and welcoming atmosphere.

We walked a couple of miles to get food late on but although Google advertised open till 2AM it was closed by 11:30pm..... very annoying..... please correct your web site.

Food is good but the service is worst. I am not blaming all the staff but there is a short and bald guy who is extremely rude to guests. I overheard a guest asking to suggest something and his response was awful. I asked for a single malt with soda and he was telling the person next to me that I had to be taught on how to drink. Dude, you are in hospitality business. Customer asks according to his taste. Don’t troll them and I bet you don’t even know what single malt is. And then he started serving in a plate with lot of black scratches on it and when I asked to give another plate, he started lecturing on materials used to make the plate. This bald headed guy just ruined my treat. I noticed he has no hair but I never knew that he has no brains.

Food is absolutely delicious and the staff are very welcoming. Definitely be back

I tried many different Indian restaurants in many different countries. I'm coming from Gulf Countries, and we do have a lot of Indian restaurants. But this one, for me, worse indian restaurants I ever tried in a foreign country.

Brilliant Craic from the staff from right as went in. Vikas was brilliant, good humour and very well mannered. Jevie was equally as nice. Never got the chefs name but massive props to him too. All Top blokes absolutely smashing it!! Rogan Josh is a must have

Staff and restaurant were fine, but I ordered a Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi and it was tasteless and no sign of chillies, onions or peppers. More like a poor chicken tikka masala. Not impressed.

It was my first time in Glasgow and I was looking for a nice place to have dinner. Walked in to this restaurant and it was the best! The staff are extremely friendly checking in to make sure that you’ve all you need. What even stood out to me the most was the fact that they didn’t have a mocktail 🍸 menu but I told one of the staff to surprise me as long as there is no alcohol in it. To my surprise, the drink was amazing, I don’t know what it is made up of, but I loved the taste and he even made me another one. Great taste, amazing experience! I would definitely recommend 💯, you‘re in for a threat even after your meal 🥘 Thank you Bombay Blues Team 😊

Ordered from Uber eats and for the price you pay you expect the same quality as dining in restaurant and if that's the case will never try here. The chicken was dry and overcooked. The poppadoms and spiced onions were stale as if they were days old. The whole order was poor quality, cold and a really poor standard.

Absolutely stunning. First time coming here and can't believe I've never been before. The food was magnificent and the service was exceptional. Massive shout out to Jeevy (murdered the spelling I bet) who made us feel so welcome. First time I've been and left feeling like I had just been round at a mates house.

Been coming here once a week whilst working in Glasgow since January. Friendly, happy and welcoming staff. Food has always been excellent and kitchen is able to cater the dishes to your taste. Highly recommended.

Hired these guys for my brothers wedding last year and it was a complete and utter shambles. ** Please be advised me and my family gave Manjit at Bombay Blues ample opportunity to rectify his mistakes and take ownership, but he has done nothing.** Please read the following before even contemplating hiring this company and parting with your hard earned money: - UNTIMELY: They didn’t arrive on time (literally missed the start of the drinks reception and was therefore left on us, the wedding party, to set up the foyer!) - NOT WHO WE HIRED: When they did arrive it wasn’t Bombay Blues who we had contractually hired but a completely different company they outsourced to without even telling us! - UNSAFE: Random men from this company arriving at the venue, who never once introduced themselves, made me and other females feel uncomfortable and unsafe. - IRRESPONSIBLE: They delayed the arrival of table cloths which delayed decor and set up from happening on the day. (Allegedly this was a revenge tactic as we didn’t go with their recommended decor company!) -NON EXISTENT COMMUNICATION: Bombay Blues were pretty much non existent in communications between us as clients and the wedding venue who also had attempted to contact Manjit on various occasions with no response. By also outsourcing our event on the day to another company, this other company didn’t seem to have a clue about everything that Manjit was privy to via email (ie layout, drinks set up, running order and timings on the day) - DOUBLE BOOKED: I was told personally by a member of this other company that was in attendance on the day that the reason they were called to our event is because Manjit had a far bigger event to manage on the same night in Glasgow. We were made to feel that we were treated and catered for far less because our event was more intimate. - FOOD & SERVICE: This was by far the biggest disappointment. When you are told by numerous guests that they didn’t get to try the canapés, and even members of the wedding party, this was a complete travesty. Our attendees were less on the day so there should have been more surplus food. There was also very limited service staff for the numbers of guests so the wait and service was extremely slow. Some of the food, particularly the kebabs were overcooked and dry bordering on inedible. - As for the main meals, the presentation left little to be desired for. Measly portions for large tables, and two complaints of hair in food too. There were special meals for the children that we as the family had organised in advance and told Manjit about. This information wasn’t communicated to this other company and so service again was sporadic and disorganised. The desserts were meant to be freshly made. What was served was defrosted tarts that were genuinely the most disgusting chewy thing I have ever eaten. SERVING STAFF: serving staff were in a complete rush to get food off the table. Guests hadn’t finished eating! Me and a few other guests had to ask the servers to refill these measly platters. Like there was a reluctance to provide more food. It was clear seeing how little food was left over at the end of the night that they clearly didn’t make enough. I could carry on and talk about the lack of customer care etc but I will stop. Please DO NOT use this company. If you need any more information please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Took the buffet option food not great very salty staff great decor mix of old and modern carpet on stairs to toilet seen better days and the guy on his laptop in the middle of the restraunt watching every move of the staff was very off putting was not for me

Ordered £20 of Mixed Pakoras from Uber Eats , to be delivered to " The Stepps Bar ". As we were having a little Buffet for my husbands Birthday. We Ordered food from Mark's @ Spencer who could not help us enough! The delivery courier from Uber Eats complained about waiting for a Pin Code . However there seems to be a system where you need a 2nd Code , which we eventually got . Maybe tell clients they need to look for 2nd code. Courier was quite rude . Thanks

Really fast service, gorgeous food. Would definitely recommend especially the paneer nan bread. Never seen that, couldn't stop eating it and yes I finished all of this by myself..

Great Restaurant. Love the vibe and the staffs working here are all very enthusiatic and welcoming. I have had dinner on few occasion during my business trip and i can surely tell that taste meets the expectation. Both veg as well non veg options are good. Must recommended.

Turned up at 1215, very few starters on buffet as it had been cleared already and not replenished despite only opening at 1200. Starters when they did arrive were of poor quality. When we went for the main course it was a similar experience. Had to go back and sit down waiting for more food to arrive. Manager was on the intercom to kitchen staff telling them to get a move on with the food. Just not up to the standard we normally receive at Bombay Blues. I don’t know what the issue was but clearly there was a problem. Taste wise the starters were poor but the curry main course was tasty when it arrived. Overall due to the wait and limited food we were disappointed with our visit. After note, returned 5 months later and had a successful visit where the food did not run out. Overall not the same selection as there was pre-Covid so they have scaled back but enough to make the visit worthwhile and we will certainly be back as this was a make or break visit and we will gladly return 👍

Good lunch buffer here, take way good too...try the garlic chill tawa, garlic chapatis and their spiced onions are good, very good indeed..

Smashing wee buffet good price and very attentive staff

Terrible. I won’t be going back I was there with a group in December for lunch and checked the buffet price on the website, 12.99. After paying i saw i was charged 19.99 each. I raised it with the manager and was told that is the Season price, i pointed out the website is wrong and misleading, and he was not caring. I suggested even a credit and i would bring another group back again, he did not want that either. I explained i would not be back or bringing groups here again. He was ok with that and was not caring at all. Quite disappointing and poor attitude and customer services, or even able to admit the website was wrong is bad. There are many other places to go in Glasgow. I won’t be back and have told this story to all friends, family and all at my company too.

Wouldnt recommend at all Better to donate the money to charity rather than eating here atleast you get satisfaction They call it BUFFET which is not true.as you see across other buffet resturants .You get to choose one dish out of 6 or 7 starters , one main dish out of 6 or 7 Biryani bowl size is as close as a coffee mug.. price as tall as an EIFEL TOWER

On a Wet and miserable Monday night visiting Glasgow I looked up Indian restaurants near to my hotel (central station area) and this one popped up. I hesitated as reviews are mixed but am so glad I went. The service was friendly and the food excellent. I arrived just as the buffet was being refreshed but ordered al a carte - I wanted a chicken tikka masala but spicier. The waiter recommended chicken masaledar and that plus excellent pakoras and delicious garlic Nan ( came cut up and was plenty) was enough to satisfy my cravings. All in all I recommend this restaurant for great food and service. I’ll be back in my next visit. Thank you.

Underused central Glasgow curry house. Brilliant patter and service from the staff. Food is great and good value. Pity the atmosphere has suffered from the ban on driving in central Glasgow, so don't be put off if it doesn't look busy.

1st visit in a couple of years and staff did not forget us brilliant

Not very nice the curries at the buffet had next to no chicken in them and it was basic as if it was out of a jar very poor quality the starter's tasted like iceland one's. Won't be back !

Worst restaurant I have been to in Glasgow. I have never written any reviews on google I feel like people should be aware how bad this place is. the staff had attitude and mixed up the vegetarian and chicken curries in the buffet and when asked about it they said “Cant you see it yourself”. They seem to be rushing the closing and didn’t let us celebrate the birthday properly. The curries were not upto the standard. Underseasoned, bland curries and undercooked rice

Food was very poor quality. Chicken pakora tasteless and tough whilst the the chilli chicken thighs were pink. Curry not very nice either. I won’t be going back very small selection for the price.

We were so lucky to have Manjit and team cater our wedding in August 2023. We had many tastings in the lead up to the wedding and it was hard to choose what to have as our final menu as everything was so delicious! We had sharing style plates for the guests, and thali dishes for the top table which was a nice special touch. The food was some of the best Indian we’d ever tasted, and Manjit also went over and beyond to cater for every one of our requests. There was so much food on the day and it was beautifully presented. The guests loved every dish, and we’re still getting comments from friends and family about how great the food was. We couldn’t have asked for a better caterer and team under Manjit. They really made our day perfect and everything ran so smoothly! We can’t recommend Bombay Blues enough, and wish we could do our wedding all over again with them! The Chauhans.

Excellent food service by a friendly group of guys able to advise on choices

What a great wee restaurant providing excellent food with a knowledgeable staff to help you choose. The personalities make this dining experience special I felt I was a guest in their home. We sampled a range of dishes from a la carte menu all excellent.

Had a sit down buffet meal, a poor selection overall with overcooked and dried up mains and a very little choice of starter. What was on offer had obviously been on the hot plates a while and it was only 7pm. Extremely disappointed as this was my "GoTo" Indian when in Glasgow. Notice the "was" 😞. Seems to have gone the same way as much of the eateries across the country. Poor quality & well overpriced. The toilets could also do with a good cleaning as they were pretty rank.

Rude staff who don’t know how to talk to customers .I had the buffet which cost around 17 pounds . It was tasteless and pathetic ,and I ordered a coke separately which was really watered down I would definitely advice people to try out other Indian restaurants with better food and service

I visited Glasgow two weeks ago because Shania Twain had concerts at SSE Ovo Hydro. Bombay Blues is an amazing resturant with amazing. The staff is friendly towards you. And they have a big buffet to chooce from which was my choice. I visited that resturant for three days. If you want brilliant food and dont want to pay much, this is your choice. They have garlic nan bread and lamb meat. I recommend that.

We visited this place during our stay in Glasgow for Dinner after reading the reviews. It turned out to be as good as in the other good reviews. We only main course and the meal was great with authentic Indian taste with right spices. The person serving us was helpful in choosing right dishes and was considerate and jolly in nature, which turn enhanced our experience (one star is specially for him)

Went in for the buffet. You get what you expect for the price, definitely not the freshest food, and can leave you with stomach issues. Maybe raise the price a bit and improve the quality?

We had two wonderful dinners at Bombay Blues during our 5-day stay in the city. Both times, the wait staff were extremely understanding and amenable to our dietary requirements and made sure to customise certain dishes for us to suit our dietary restrictions and palates, and the results were delicious. Over the two days, we had, between the four of us, the Goan Salmon curry, prawn curry, kadai sabzi, jeera lemon rice, aloo paratha, papdi chaat (especially fantastic!), pani puri, tadka dal, and the thali. A special mention must go to the yummy garlic naan in the thali, the perfectly seasoned channa masala, the flavourful tadka dal, as well as the decadent gajar halwa and kheer sweet dishes, which were extremely authentic, made with top quality ghee, very lightly sweetened (which suited us perfectly) and utterly soul satisfying. The only thing missing from the kheer, for 100% authenticity, was perhaps a smidge of cardamom and/or saffron, and some ghee-roasted cashewnuts in the gajar halwa. All in all, two very tasty and thoroughly enjoyable meals at Bombay Blue, and we'd be happy to return again in the future the next time we visit Glasgow. Very good value for money and a genuinely warm and joyful experience for all of us.

The food was no run of the mill Indian curry. We were delighted at the flavours of the unusual dishes. Plentiful potions, and excellent service. Expect to wait a little for your meal to arrive.

One of the best Indian restaurants I've ever visited by quite a bit, with a buffet better than most's a la carte. Been away from the city for a while and pleased, but not surprised, to see they're still on top form. First class food, friendly, funny & helpful staff and a great range of authentic Indian dishes for all palates, absolutely essential dining for the curry connoisseur, fabulous!

Hadn't been here in years but decided to try it again. Opted for the buffet but the food was dried up and the rice was hard and a skin had formed over what was left of the korma. If there had of been lids that would've kept the steam in and the food soft. On saying that our server brought over a fresh curry and new rice so they redeemed themselves. Nice enough place but next time I'd rather order the food fresh and avoid the buffet! They also need a new stair carpet all worn away and looks about twenty years old!

We love Indian food and this place was recommended to us by an acquaintance as he said it was good, his taste buds must be in his bum, we got there just after 1pm the buffet lunch is served til 3pm, starter were a bit on the chewy side as they had obviously been out for a while, then it came to the mains out of the trays of curry only 2 had a meat in them and the 2 types of rice were just scrapings in the bottom of the pan, we waited to see if these got topped up as people were still to be served, they topped up 1 rice and 1 tray of curry, and the quartered thin Nan breads, the lamb dish actually tasted like stew with spice added, they did not seem to care about the quality or quantity of the food us the customers were paying them for, not a place we will ever go back to, the food has been repeating on us both all afternoon which a good Indian curry should not do, we even had to buy Indigestion tablets there was no atmosphere in the place at all. I made the mistake of going to the Ladies toilet absolutely covered in cobwebs, so not much cleaning there even cobwebs on the toilet brush, I looked in the other cubicle and the toilet seat was broken in half, on my return to our table my husband said he would use the gents before we left and I advised him we would go somewhere else due to the state of the Ladies loo, which he did in a lovely clean establishment nearby, if the toilets are not clean are the cooking areas of the Kitchen clean, I wonder, but we will Never be back such a waste of time and money, and to have sore guts afterwards not good. AVOID.
