Excellent great quality food. Recently noticesd it may not yet be open!! WOuld recommend it highly for a good carryout

Our absolute go to for a curry at home. So delicious, not heavy like some takeaways and so full of flavour. So grateful to have it in the area!

Great food! Lots of food is gluten free or coeliac friendly which is brilliant for us - pakora, curry and wraps all GF. The fish pakoras are great.

We ordered butter chicken with a side two rice a garlic nan and vegetable pakora. Came to c£22 - chicken was dry sauce was watery garlic nan was plain nan with a pot of garlic butter. We just moved to bearsden and were huge fans of mother India in finneston and so were hugely disappointed by this. It doesn’t work as a concept especially when you are charging basically the same as a fresh takeaway for something you have to reheat at home. Guy in the shop was lovely but we won’t be back.

Only one person allowed in at a time and the others queue outside, which is just fine by me. Stood patiently in the queue for 10 minutes and watched all customers mask up before going inside. Along comes a delivery drive carrying large boxes and walks straight into the heart of the premises with no mask. He then was allowed to repeat the process at least once. (Might have been more but I don’t know since I then left the queue, as did at least one other!) Totally negates the entire process and I’d rather not take a chance of breathing in his air!

Picked up takeaway this afternoon, fish pakora chill garlic chicken and another chicken dish must say fish pakora tasted absolutely nothing like fish and other 2 dishes where as dry and completely tasteless afraid I won’t be back must have changed hands as have been going for years , ended up in the bin

Love the chatterbox that works here. Food and service are great. Plenty of delicious veggie options.

So pleased to find our favourite curry takeaways are still available during the Covid lockdown. Social distancing is in place, one customer at a time. Still great food and good value, thank you!

This is a take-away with a BIG difference - fresh, chilled dishes beautifully prepared to the recipes of the best Indian restaurant in Glasgow. And that's saying something, given the great range available in the city. Having Mother India on the doorstep in Bearsden is a rare privilege and we use it regularly. Freshly prepared pakora, non breads complement a great range of dishes from prawn jalfrezi, to butter chicken curry with added basmati /pilau rices. dahl and other side dishes. Additional produce also on sale e.g. chutneys, spices and...wait for it Luca's Ice Cream in litre tubs. Lovely service overseen by Said and his excellent assistants. What more can one ask ...other than MORE!

Tried this place 2 weeks ago. Lamb curry - avoid. It was so tough I had to use a steak knife to cut. The nans looked like a pizza base. The chicken curry was good though. Overall not impressed. Other better places around

The pakora is delicately spiced for most palates and the curries are all home cooked daily. Beautiful place for buying Indian food to take home and heat up.

We bought A LOT of food for a family birthday party. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful or pleasant. The food had to travel three hours in a car and then wait a further day before being eaten. The food was a big hit - except for the poppadums which I think are best eaten fresher - and we’ll look forward to doing the same again next year. We’ll be back before that though!

Always delicious, the £10 takeaway meal deal is plenty for sharing between 2 for a midweek treat, love the variety and how there will often be new dishes we haven't tried before, veg dosas amazing! The only downside is having to heat it at home :-)

A great hit locally as food is really nice, freshly prepared and tastes great. Love their non bread and pakora.
