Best meal I've had in a long long time. And so very handy. Thank you so very much

I am visiting family in bearsden and fully enjoyed our meal. First you don’t expect anything special. It almost seams a little empty. Then we tried different foods and were totally blown away. Especially from the homemade coconut naan! Please give it a shot. It’s definitely worth it.

My most favourite Indian ever. Brilliant as usual.

Asked what was the mildest korma the guy said Mugli I got my order went home and the amount of chilli in this was not good,The chef obviously not listening or completely not caring about my request for a non spicy korma ,Ruined my meal,Next time I go with the Celonese korma but not from your shop.

Always a nice wee local Indian curry place, have marked the food as 4 not 5 because the buffet food always seems just a bit too cold but other than that you can't go wrong. I suppose perhaps we should have asked to put them in the microwave but that's probably rude. The take-away is absolutely chocabloc so be prepared to wait. Staff are really nice and helpful and attentive, the restaurant is very small with 30 covers at most so you can still have a nice level of intimacy.

GREAT PLACE! Been going here for about 20 years and it really is consistently good. The staff could not be friendlier or more helpful, happily talking diners through the menu's considerable choices. Perfectly cooked food and a lovely ambience. And they don't skimp on their portions! That's why I keep going back.

Bit on the small side but the perfect place for a pint an a curry. Their buffet is really good.

Unfortunately this particular meal we bought for 4( after raving about it to family in past) was very disappointing pakora very small pieces and dry ,the korma sauce was watery and bland. The naan bread was tough and the chicken in the Korma seemed to have been precooked and placed in the sauce.We've bought meals before from here and enjoyed the food, this has put us off, likely not returning.

Without question one of the very worst Indians I’ve had anywhere in my entire life. Difficult to know where to start, the tikka massala was like nothing bearing that name I’d ever encountered and it tasted pure rotten, the pakoras were even worse, I could go on and on but you get the message….just dreadful food and the fact I paid more than £20 for this muck was the final insult, the bottle of juice was the only thing worthy of a positive word, no idea why so many rate this place as I can confidently say it’s among the very worst places I’ve eaten from in any place or country I’ve been in and believe me there’s some stiff competition but ultimately this one prevails as being the pits!

Me and and my family went there and we got tandoori chicken that was world class but the men kept on staring at me with a frightening gaze I thought and wondered what did they want they slipped a piece of paper but I thought it was a love note from the big man but it was the receipt he whispered in my year with the soothing voice and said “god your good baby” I freaked out I took my children and left never to go back I knew he had the eye for me but I didn’t know it was that serious word of advice never ask the boss for anything he takes it the wrong way it creeped me and the kids out.

My wife and I have eaten here since it opened many years ago . It has the most tastiest food in the whole of the west of Scotland for sure . The staff are so very welcoming and polite . its a please to eat at The Spice of Life in Bearsden .

Terrible service and disappointing food. I ordered 2 main courses and a rice and was told it would take 30-40 mins. It arrived one hour and ten minutes later. One of the lids hadn't been secured so the sauce had escaped into the bag and both main courses were cold (not even warm). AVOID.

Spice chilli provided 20 free meals to nhs staff at Queen Elizabeth uni hospital last night. Prompt, friendly, good food and a great help. Big thumbs up 👍🏻 and very grateful for your help

A pathetic tie up with Just Eat. To have to wait two and a half hours on a delivery then find that they haven’t made your order up is a joke. Made twenty calls to get through to the restaurant to be told,oh we’ve been very busy!! Asked for a refund to then be told I’d have to contact Just Eat! They are equally as hopeless.

The worst i have had stay away complained got no feed back really bad

Ordered a chicken jalfrezi and a lamb rogan josh . When i opened them they both looked the same orangy brown in colour one had lamb and one had chicken .neither where what we ordered. I phoned to say the curries where not what i ordered and was told by the chef! A jalfrezi had cream in it ? I told him it didnt .also there was no onions peppers or chillies i told him this was not a jalfrezi and he told me he had cooked this dish like that for years? The lamb rogan josh was no better. If you want to eat proper indian do not order from here what a waste of £28.

Tried for first time last night as stay local. Worst curry I have ever had unfortunately, didn't phone to complain as I wouldn't eat anything else from the place. We ordered a meal for two, the vegatable pakora was the size of popcorn, therefore no vegatable just fried batter. Korma sauce had a strong plastic taste running through it and the bhoona was average to say the least. The nan bread was the best part. Won't be back.

Honestly not a single flaw. Staff amazing, food amazing and it's all really cheap. I would have happily paid 2 twice what I did. Thoroughly recommend this place to anyone.

My family have always bought Indian take out from Spice Chilli since it opened many years ago. Although I have recently moved out of the area, I make the effort to drive to Baljaffray for their lamb biryani. Always tastes beautiful and fresh. Staff are so friendly and listen to dietary requests!

Have been coming here for about 16 years and had consistent great Indian food. By the way we travel from Bradford some call the curry capital of the north ???The food is exceptional and the family so kind. Please do not be put off by negative comments. We recently took some frozen sauce to the canaries and had this for Christmas lunch what a great experience.

I don't understand the good reviews unless the buffet is much better than the lunch. The main course for lunch was dull and tasteless. The chicken was dry and the sauce looked radioactive with lurid artificial colour. The nan and chapatis were quite good and the staff pleasant, hence the two stars. No stars for the main course.

We had lunch at Spice Chiili recently. The restaurant is small with plain decor and just a few tables. We had a small portion of vegetable pakora to start, which was OK. The main course of South Indian Chilli chicken was nasty. The sauce seemed to be made with cash & carry tomato ketchup with a load of red food colour added which made it almost fluorescent whilst the chicken had a strange rubbery texture. It tasted only slightly spicy. The naan and chapatis weren't bad. This place is a down market take-away with tables that can only give Indian food a bad name. Don't go there.

Visited again last night, the food is amazing, small choice but all spot on. Would highly recommend this.

First time using Spice Chilli - absolutely disgusting. If it wasn't so far away I would have returned it. Pakora- chicken and veg both re-heated and dry. Chasni was basically chicken with tomato soup, Dopiaza chicken was also reheated and dry. Rice was okay but man bread cheese was rotten. Chips were basically fat - not a potato had touched them. Extremely disappointed- would definitely NOT recommend.

I frequently visit Spice Chilli for a meal or a take away. The food is outstanding, it's always very fresh and delicious! The buffet is great value for money, there are lots of choices and the food is never left lying for long. The service is second to none. It is small family run business and they value each and every one of their customers! A must visit :-)

Hadn't been to Spice Chilli for quite some time after moving from the area and thought we would return for a visit.Was not let down!They do a great buffet, the food was excellent & the service was impeccable. The manager (Really nice guy) asked a few times if there was something we wanted but not out on the buffet he would get the chefs to prepare it at no extra cost.I know it's not a main part of your meal but their spiced onions are the best in the biz!Highly recommend this place to anyone who has yet to go!

Always have lamb Patia and Lamb chilli masala, excellent and well priced, quick service. They also do a buffet which is cheap and very nice.

Ordered a chicken ceylonese korma, which is not the most spicy of dishes, but it lacked flavour and was pretty bland, even for a korma. The quality of the chicken, rice and pakora were good, just disappointed about the taste.

I dont usually leave reviews. But first time ordering from Spice Chilli online and im really disappointed. Time given in estimated delivery time was near 2 hour, it was at my door within 10mins and although usually this is a good thing it was absolutely disgusting and had to go in the bin. must have been reheated food we where delivered. I specified some things i wanted in the notes to the chef might had well not have because they got completely ignored. Never will i order from here again !

Food was very tasty and piping hot for a Buffet. Not a huge choice but it's not a huge place. 6 - 8 curries to choose from and selection of starters. Bill was £35 for 3 people including soft drinks. Would highly recommend.

Waited over an hour and a half on a Monday night for cold food. The food was also really poor quality and tasteless. Lied to on phone saying the food had left shop. Then I was told the drivers car had broken down. DEFINITELY WON'T BE BACK.

Food is always lovely from here. Arrived 20 minutes earlier than expected and was roasting. Nothing but praise for this restaurant and their food.

The food was good however the delivery charge was £4 to addresses within Baljaffray and an extra 50p was charged for paying by debit (not credit) card. The delivery charge is too expensive considering how close I live to the restaurant and so I won't order from them again.

Haber tenido la extraña comida para llevar que apareció en para el almuerzo y nos quedamos agradablemente sorprendidos con la cantidad y calidad de la comida. La porción de verduras pakora plato era de un tamaño decente, aunque un poco de pelo de lo normal. El cordero al curry y arroz era un tamaño normal una porción de la caet y era mermelada lleno de licitación, cordero suculentos. Me quedé muy impresionado y con helado o café/té para seguir este era una oferta de £5. 50. Ten cuidado, ya que sólo abre para el almuerzo los viernes entre las 12 a 2 pm durante unos 5 - 11:00 de la noche.
