Great food, great atmosphere, great service. We were a party of 8, with varying dietary requirements that were all catered to. Would highly recommend!

Vaya. Ha pasado un tiempo desde que visitamos pero no será tan largo hasta la próxima vez. El servicio fue estupendo y la comida fabulosa - mini pompados con salsa india picante y jalapeños para empezar y el pobre de setas era delicioso como entrantes. Tuve el cordero Karahi Bhoona y mi esposa la versión de pollo con arroz frito de setas y nan simple. Increíble - lo mejor que he tenido en mucho tiempo y comemos comida india a menudo. Recomendaría una visita y pronto!

Online order for food on Sunday night ,Chicken korma boiled rice nan bread a chicken tika as well ,ordered chicken pakora as well ,and a couple of mixed rice ,boiled and fried.Very little chicken all sauce,Worst pakora ever seen 60 pounds of rubbish we got so calked them and they said we will send a chicken pakora as an apology if local ,Never going back it's OK avoid online orders they cheat you.

Worst takeaway ever tonight, pakora stone cold, main dish like warm, always enjoy the restaurant but takeaway quality was awful, lesson learned.

Actually I am a delivery driver today I go there to pickup a order from uber eats I come from 4miles when I ask a guy about my order boy on the reception in black shirt they speak me very rudly "He sad he has no idea about the order it's your's choice u wait or cancel the order" that's the first and last words of that guy...

Food decent. Place needs to reflect more of a sub continent vibe and less 2000 sq feet of a concrete unit. Service and atmosphere was all bit bland. Good enough for a Friday night curry.

Food is usually good, however, something tasted off about last nights food and in resulted in, myself and my dad are suffering due to it. Very disappointed as we usually have amazing food here, standards have been slowly dropping over time. Don’t know if it’s recipe or chef changes. Won’t be back anytime soon .

Take away for 1 person £23.35 1 dried up chewy stringy chicken pakora with what looked like small scraps of chicken. Tiny portion. Never ever seen such a small portion. 1/2 tub of mediocre (at best) chicken tikka, pilau rice and 2 soggy popadoms. Never again.

Food was good overall. Sharing platter to start was expensive and quality wasn't great but the main course were superb and worth every penny. Service was ok. Servers were very good but it took approximately 2 hours to get our main courses out to us. Good overall but the wait was a killer.

Anyone wanting vegan friendly Indian, I highly recommend this place. Even my uber fussy onmivore friend enjoyed my food! I got the tofu korma, chicken pakora, mushroom rice and garlic naan 😋😋

Called in for food at 9.10pm to be told we need to eat quick as they were closing at 10pm. We decided to gets a take away instead. The food was awful the mixed pakora was 6 dried up pakora which was obviously leftovers and the tikka was so dry we put it all in the bin. Would not recommend a visit. Raja rani is just around the corner!!!

We had a birthday meal here in February 2024 for 6 people & the food was nice, service was ok & atmosphere was busy. I noted the menu did not have spice strength indicators (simple 1-3 chilli picture would suffice) & the details of some dishes were not on the menu provided so you need to know about the dishes before visiting & ordering. My food was nice others said they also enjoyed thier food. If menus improved & service was a bit more personal then I would be able to give more stars. Ultimately we had an ok meal from here.

Usually I love this place but tonight’s take away, (which I collected), was awful. Ready 20 minutes after the collection time, they were obviously super busy, super stressed and not coping well. Lamb chops were dry and overcooked and without the sauce supposed to come with them. Dhansac was watery and lacking in seasoning. King prawns were mushy and overcooked. Roti and mushroom rice were the usual excellent standard I expect from Ashoka

The takeaway arrived an hour later than they said, there were items missing. The food was tastkess and was sent to the bin. Never again. The place across the road is ten times better.

1st visit for a while, lots of new faces. The food and service were very good.

Take away from Ashoka Bearsden. Ordered before pick up and still had to wait 1/2 hour and there were only 2 tables with customers. Also had to wait 10 mins before anyone acknowledged that I was waiting. But the main gripe is the amount of curry. Half a portion? Come on Ashoka, you can do better than this or is this a sign of things to come, portion size wise. Shrinkflation.

Way overpriced for freezing cold food total scam had a long wait for delivery and it's only a few min away never again don't even think the chicken tikka chasni was a chicken tikka chasni

Had a delivery of 3 starters. 3 mains, 2 rice, chips and nan bread. Chicken pakora was very dry and chewy and unfortunately we were given 2 portions of chicken instead of one chicken and one mixed. The Chasni was absolutely tasteless ( and I know my chasni's) it actually looked like the korma. Unfortunately my grand-daughter found a hair in hers ( fortunately she is a child and that doesn't put them off their food) not the point though 😕 the chips were stone cold and the nan bread that was suppose to be a peshwari but was a plain nan with a handful of coconut in the middle as if it was poured on before they folded it. I did try to call the restaurant but no answer (I am aware it is very very busy) so thus is why I am writing the review

The food was lovely. We started with a mix of pakora & then we got our main courses a wee while later. We enjoyed our food.

So I found this place on Google as I've tried all nearer me and never really like them. 1st time I ordered I got the mixed vegetables bhoona, I loved the sauce but some of the vegetables wernt my taste so the 2nd time I ordered I phoned and asked if they could just put potato in the bhoona sauce and they agreed. I cannot stress enough how good this curry was honestly the best I've ever had and I've tried loads!! Potato bhoona should be put on the menu soooo good will definitely order again I've finally found a great curry

We got a home delivery from the Ashoka Bearsden of which we have done on numerous occasions, however I will think twice about using them again. We got 4 mains, 4 starters, 4 rice and 4 nans. The bill came to £93 which may have been acceptable if all the containers had been full but in fact they were lucky if they were half full. Very disappointing from a restaurant with such a good reputation. No longer value for money.

Had takeaway from here before and it was excellent! Dropped in for dinner on a Thursday evening. Food great. Very tasty . Lots of vegan options. Management and staff welcoming and friendly. Srinija was friendly , helpful and a joy to chat to. Her male colleague was polite , friendly and very helpful. Not too busy , as we were a walk in. Can be busy Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Toilets clean and disabled toilets available. Thank you Ashoka Bearsden.

Disgusting , went straight to bin All reheats Fish pakora, , South Indian garlic prawns over cooked. Naan bread microwaved ! Couldn’t even cut it. Will never use again. Total waste of £34

Get a takeout from here, they don’t deliver to my area despite how close they are. At first they were great but on Thursday there we got a collection and the meat portion in the curry and pakora sauce was lacking. If I could post the picture of the pakora sauce the little tub was considerably less than half full.

You're not getting for the money you pay. Very expensive and food wasnt tasty at all.

Haven't been here in a few years but decided when walking past to order some pakora to take away. Most tastless I've ever had. Ingredients obviously missing. The inside looks lovely and there are good reviews on here so maybe a one off..🤔

Large serving of chicken pakora, but being honest,it was bland. Very little salad to accompany it, an a minute portion of a brown coloured dip which wasn't the best. Main of garlic chicken tikka masala, also very dissapointing, chicken had no flavor , I the sauce was very poor, on the up side it was a large portion, but for the price, I try somewhere else next time. Was really dissapointing because I was in the Finnistown restaurant the last time I was in Glasgow and it was spectacular.

It’s been at least 5 !6 years since my friends and I dined in Ashoka Bearsden, having previously visited religiously for 10 years for our get togethers until unfortunately, it started to go downhill. We decided to try again knowing the place was under new management; we were not disappointed. The food was superb, recommend the combination starter, butter chicken and the speciality lamb was rich and melt in the mouth. If you’ve not been for a while it’s time to go back. Staff were friendly and attentive and manager chatty and genuinely interested in what we thought. Our relationship with Ashoka is back on track!!

Vegan menu has an amazing variety. Bhindi dopiaza & samosas are chef’s kiss! The new website is really good as well. Simple and straightforward when it comes to ordering. This has very quickly become my go to place for a quality takeaway 🤘

I ordered Lamb Karahi Kebab and a portion of mixed pakora. Have to say it was absolutely delicious. The pakora especially the veg and haggis were outstanding. The kebab and nan bread with salad and sauce was absolutely fabulous! Was delivered earlier than advised too.

Just had a meal delivered from here & can honestly say I have NEVER had such a poor quality meal delivered in my entire life. I got the most expensive meal on menu.. Surf & Turf. The Prawns are just a mass of mush & inedible, Chicken is tasteless, sauce is like water & a pure white, barely cooked Nan whuch is actually wet round the edges.... Seriously awful meal all round !!!

I have eaten Indian food for approx. 50 years. I was also married to a Eurasian...So Indian food part of my life. My experience at Ashoka I rate as the best experience I have had in all my 50 years of Indian food...The food was outstanding.. The service too was fantastic...I can't wait to return there. I recommend without hesitation..The ambience perfect...

Booked a table for 7.30 tonight the food was so disgusting the lamb korma chicken korma chicken chasin look like a bowl of soup so will never be back I will be letting family and friends know

Came here for the first time and heard mixed reviews so thought me and my partner would try. We have been to many restaurants and found this one to be very nice. Staff couldn't be more helpful and the food was amazing 😋

Just had a delivery and totally disgusted. The meat was floating ina a watered down gravy. Disgusting.

Been an ashoka fan for years, but not anymore had a rogan josh and bhoona both must have had half a packet of salt in them, bhoona was as if made with just curry powder. Very dissapointed , don’t think I’ll be back

Ordered Traditional Chicken curry and Chasni Chicken Tikka. Both tasted as though they were made with a packet of salt in each. The chicken was dry obviously a reheat. Our naan bread was dry and crisp. The worse was the salt. Would not recommend this Ashoka to anyone.

Very disappointed with this evenings meal. The food needed reheated when it arrived and one dish, paneer with chick pea was inedible. Loaded with salt and very poor.

Chicken Pakora was dry and not nice at all. Chicken curry was very salty and ended up in the bin. Will never go back. Shish Mahal in glasgow so much better.

Ordered curry online for collection, given no idea when it would be ready, phoned numerous times but couldn't get through as phone not answered, finally when I went to pick it up it had been sitting for some time and cold. I have been a customer for years so they knew my number- they could have called. Complained but manager not sympathetic.☹️

Ordered food online. Food cold! Was Asked to wait another half hour for fresh food to be delivered and to tray back up the original order to be shown to the chef🤔. There was no other offer of apology other than to wait half an hour for more food!!

Disappointing and pricey, nowhere near as good as Raja Rani. Delivery took 2 hours they tried to blame Uber and would throw in free poppadoms which are standard at RR but never did. Naan was meh..

We had the best vegetable pakora we have ever tasted tonight at the Ashoka Bearsden, light batter with just the right blend of spices, delicious! And the rest of the meal lived up to our high expectations. Kirsty and the other staff who served us were brilliant, bright young personalities, all eager to please and get it right. The only thing I would change is to have a large print menu for the visually challenged old folk like me. And maybe a bigger ladies toilet as it was a bit tight getting out of the cubicle again and I am not very large. A great night with excellent service and really good food. Get yourself down there and enjoy.

We used to order deliveries from here quite regularly until recently but never again as the last one we got was dreadfully poor quality.firstly the carrier bag the food came in was soaking wet,the curries,naan bread & chips were cold,pakora was burnt & they also sent a wrong item.despite contacting the restaurant directly via email & also via Twitter they failed to respond to our complaint which obviously fell on deaf ears.good customer service is a problem for them

Ordered a carry out which took an hour and a half to arrive. Two of the curries should have had Tikka chicken in them but had plain dry chicken breast which looked liked came from a packet of pre-cooked chicken. Charged us the extra for the tikka meat!!!!!! Pakora was cold and dry and the rest of the meal was not much warmer, everything had to be re-heated which did nothing for the quality or taste. Sauces were poor and the South Indian Garlic Chilli chicken sauce was watery. All in all it looked like after calling then when had been waiting for 1 hour they quickly hashed the meal together and gave us any old s*** (insert your own word there)!!!!!! Poor, poor, poor and going by other comments on they’re FB page the management will take no notice of customer complaints!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s not common to write a review for a takeaway but I wanted to mention the lovely, upbeat girl taking the orders. She was clearly very busy yet still had the time to talk to me and make light, amusing chat while my order was processed. She had glasses and her hair was tied up. Looked very professional. It’s nice to see a bunch of staff that looked so well turned out. The food was also very good and I’d recommend to anyone.
