Between my wife and I we've been loyal customers for over 10 years. Ordered a takeaway on 12th august 24 for a family dinner. When I got home I found a moth like creature in one of the takeaway foil tubs in amongst the food. The creature was still alive and struggling about. I phoned rasoi back and informed them I was returning the food. When I arrived and spoke to staff and the manager, I showed them then creature in the same tub which was still moving. I didnt make a scene as it wasnt a thing, I received a prompt refund and was ushered out the door. Most probably incase other customers came in. As I've been a loyal customer i would have expected atleast a phone call later as i could understand the staff predicament but nothing, which is poor given the circumstances.

Terrible quality food. Over cooked stale King Prawns, bland sauces, reheated dry breads. Pakora was the worst, dry tasteless. This is my local so I wish it was good. Such a waste of money. Ordered 3 currys, expensive and had to put half in the bin. In addition I contacted them directly with this feedback and they never got back to me - they don’t care that their food is bad!!!

We just waited 40mins for our order. King prawn tandoori, chicken saag, rice, nan bread, veg pakora and a few poppadoms. Both sauces lacked any depth of flavour and was very wet. Nan bread was brick hard. Prawns over cooked and falling apart. The only the veg pakora was decent. Overall a waste of £50. We've ordered from here a few times, it's very hit or miss. I've given up now.

After enjoying a delicious meal in the restaurant, we decided to have takeaway meal from the Rasoi but our family was really disappointed for a number of reasons. We ordered chicken pakora which seemed reheated rather than fresh and the portion was smaller than expected. Our main courses were 2 different Lamb dishes which tasted the same and a Chicken Tikka Masala which was okay but did not contain much chicken. The lamb was tough and stringy and took a lot of chewing. The naan bread, which was very thin, was stone cold and had to be heated in the oven. The meal was uplifted less than 20 minutes after ordering so we expected better. Considering this disaster cost us over £50, we certainly won’t be back for a takeaway.

Came here the other weekend for dinner. As we crossed the car park a chap I assumed was a manager in the restaurant scowled at me and looked me up and down (must not be a fan of Harris tweed). Pathetically crap service. The daft wee lassie who served us kept shrugging her shoulders when asked a question and spent too much time flicking her hair. To add insult to injury the clown who had scowled at me later literally bowed a guy and his wife I know through the door just as we were leaving. Guess I'm not important enough for this place.

Altogether very poor and you should avoid - we felt rushed for starter and main course - when I looked at my watch -they both had been served under 50mins. No offer of wet towel however next table given two. Waiter served without speaking- plonking plates and cutlery on table with no eye contact and words exchanged (first time ever I have seen service this poor) - inappropriate waitress uniform. Prawn starter rubbery and over cooked and at nearly £9 this is disappointing. Main courses tasted the same even though they were supposed to be different curries. Strong smell of damp in restaurant.

I have been going here since it opened. The food and service used to be excellent but it has steadily declined over the last few years. Tonight service was sloppy , chapatis served only when reminded by which time food had cooled down. Cold plates. No excuse as restaurant was not busy. Happy to sell drinks at extortionate prices though. Management need to take a long look at themselves or they won’t have any customers shortly. Get the standard back and get real with the drink prices. Same goes for Carriage’s bar. Way overpriced.

Been a few times, sitting in was fine when we first went, takeaway been going downhill for a while and seems to have hit rock bottom now. Takeaway, 2 chicken tikka curries, both left because they were not good at all. Sauce was like water, bland, the chicken had a weird not chicken taste (cheesey, got spat in the bin), chicken and fish pakora were soggy, garlic and plain naan breads were stale feeling and also bland, not sure any less garlic could have been put on the garlic naan, poppadoms were stale, rice was good, spicy onions were meh. £50 down the drain, not going back.

Restaurant is lovely inside. Nice Indian music playing, too. My starter was vegetable pakora, which came with salad and two dips . Absolutely delicious. I can't say the same for the main though...I ordered chicken korma, and I have to say its the first time I've ever had to add salt to GET some flavour into it....totally bland,so much so, that I couldn't bring myself to put any more on my plate after the first spoonful..chicken was dry too, despite being in the sauce .......naan bread was lovely, but rice was sticky and dry ...had been really looking forward to this but its disappointing..I make a better korma ( recipe given to me by a chef a long time ago ) . Unfortunately, I won't be visiting again .... sorry ..

Disappointed does not even cover our experience. In all of my 30+ years of dining out I have never had food served within 5 minutes of the order being placed. To give you an idea some young waiter was putting main plates on our table as we were still nibbling on poppadoms! I had to move plates onto the seating beside me to accommodate and then call another waiter to come and clear room when the food appeared seconds later. If I compare my dish to a powdered discount store sauce I am being measured, not mean. To be told the kitchen “works to a very fast pace” is embarrassing for them. We have dined here on several occasions before and after tonight’s experience never again. It wa supposed to be a relaxing and enjoyable end to a busy week. Hungry and disappointed.

I was recommended this restaurant, however I was extremely disappointed. We ordered the chicken karahi and tandoori mixed grill with popadoms. First of all, the menus were filthy - they were sticky and we found long hair in one of the pages!! We also found a small eyelash hair in one of our popadoms. I ordered a glass of rosé, however I was given a red wine (although this was quickly resolved when I mentioned it to the waiter). When the karahi came, it more of a ready meal than a dish you’d find at a restaurant - lacking flavour and it wasn’t even karahi consistency in my opinion. We also paid over £22 for the mixed grill, however the portion was tiny!! Very very expensive for what it was. On the positive note, the service was very good and the atmosphere was nice. All in all however, I wouldn’t recommend .

Been going to and enjoying Rasoi for past two years. Tonight's takeaway the naan bread had very strong smell of cigarette smoke. Phoned and complained to manager who assured me it would be from the charcoal used to cook it. I'm 100% sure it was cigarettes. As recent TripAdvisor reviews say curries are now watered down compared to previous. I will never return to Rasoi after this experience. There are better alternatives in Kirky
