The best restaurants serving Indian food in Cotswold South West

I’ve been here numerous times. It’s the best place in Bourton for ambience, a lovely friendly team of staff and up-to-date modern vibe with its decor, food and drinks menus. I’ve brought many friends and family members here and they all feel the same way. My go-to place in Bourton.

We ordered a takeaway which I can sum up very easily. Fantastic food, fantastic value and fantastic service. We were all so impressed. Wish they could deliver to London!

A quiet night on New Year's day. Fire in the stove lit ready. A few people scattered in the bar. Waiter in the Little India restaurant section greeting us with a smile. Ditto the two behind the bar. Ordered meals in the restaurant from an excellent menu then went to get a drink from the bar. Sadly I was not able to try the excellent choice of ales available but all were friendly both behind and on my side of the bar. Meals were totally excellent with fresh tasting flavours and in large portions. Not your usual curry. The perfect way to start a new year. Definitely worth repeated visits.

Went for a family meal on NYE to the Rajdoot. Ordered a wide selection of curries plus chicken nuggets and chips for a child. The curries were all flavoursome and thoroughly enjoyable. The chicken and chips received a rave review, too! There was a bit of a mix up with the bill afterwards which we failed to notice, meaning that we over-paid. We contacted the restaurant a couple of days later to discuss. Despite this being our own fault (really should have properly checked the bill), Hanif and the team happily refunded us the over-payment. I believe that most businesses would’ve said ‘sorry, you should’ve brought this to our attention at the time’ but there was no such quibbling at Rajdoot. In my opinion this represents superb customer service. We have already returned to Rajdoot for more tasty curry and will continue to do so: thanks again to Hanif and the team at Rajdoot.

The fact Hassans isn’t #1 is incredible. The food and service there was impeccable and nothing too much trouble. If you aren’t close to Moreton then a trip is 100% worth it. Both a fantastic menu and a good selection of drinks, it’s the perfect place for a date night or for a big meal out. Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable, we will be back!

I had cheese in my tika butter chicken. Why and how did it get there. Thick layer of cheddar. Also the popadoms tasted burnt like the oil was burnt ?

Based in a quintessential English pub but serving amazing Indian cuisine - not a huge choice of options but by golly the taste and quality was absolutely superb! Other options other than Indian food are available. Highly recommended

Had a take a way for Valentines Day , a treat. I do not think you will find better value in this part of the world in quality and price

When we went there they did not open on time. Waited and they let us in the food was sub par. Service was ok. Difficulty understanding what we were ordering.

Nos llevaron una comida para llevar el viernes por la noche, fue la mejor comida india que he probado en mi vida, el pollo estaba perfecto, ¡el arroz también estaba delicioso! Definitivamente los usaremos con más frecuencia ahora, no podríamos calificarlos ¡Suficientemente alto! También se lo recomendaré a amigos y familiares :)

We had a lovely Saturday night stay here and felt very welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room (3) was warm and cosy and the beds were very comfortable. The cooked breakfast was delicious and the portion size was generous. As others have mentioned, the only downside was that it was very noisy. Our room was above the toilets so we were kept awake until well gone midnight and I could hear the staff from about 6am. You are warned about this when you book though so I'd still give it 5 stars!
