The best restaurants serving Indian food in Winchester South East

Visited with family for a weekend lunch and was pleasantly surprised to find a lunch menu offer. The staff were attentive and the food was flavoursome. Extremely good value for money.

Our new local and regular Indian restaurant. We love the biryani, dhal and naan breads. Good value and excellent service.

Booked a table for 8pm, we were seated at 8.10pm to a freshly cleaned table. That's the only good thing I can say about the experience. I must admit I was expecting Nepalese dishes, everything on the menu can be found at your local Indian restaurant. One dish, the Chicken Chilli and I quote from the menu, a touch of ketchup in gravy or dry. We had to ask for the menus, then we had to ask for our order to be taken. I then had to ask at 9.20pm,(an hour and twenty minutes after entering) if we were in fact going to be severed, 10minutes later our food arrived. During this time my friend had finished his drink, at no point did the waiter ask if he would like another one. The plates were cold, the food was so salty it was inedible, there was no spice to either curry and the naans were bland. The restaurant did not have any heating, when it was -2 degrees outside, guests were sat in coats or scarfs and hats. Back to the freshly cleaned table, due to the cold temperature it remained wet for twenty minutes. We were later informed the landlord was refurbishing the heating system that's why it was cold in the restaurant. I would never recommend this establishment to anyone.

Above average well staffed Indian restaurant. Really enjoyed my sea bass curry though rather expensive for a single fillet but the Sauce was excellent. We weren’t particularly hungry so ordered sparingly though waiter appeared rather insistent we have more and seemed disappointed we didn’t. Anyway really no problem and the salad accompanying our popadoms was plentiful.

Great takeaway, very reasonably priced. Made fresh and generous portions. Ordered on a Saturday evening and ready to collect within 20 minutes. Arrived and it was ready on time and piping hot.

Honestly best curry in Winchester in my opinion and great value for money. Always order from them and never disappoints👍🏼 Staff are lovely and welcoming too!

Very disappointed with my delivery tonight . Curry full of grease and portion sizes have definitely been downsized!!!! Are last curry from here was amazing but very very disappointing tonight don’t think we will be using them again !!!!

A great restaurant with excellent authentic food. We came here on a Friday night and it was very busy, but the staff set up a table for us in the bar area before a proper table became available. The service was very good, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The garlic chilli chicken is delicious with a peshwari naan 🤌🏻. Thank you very much, we will be coming here again soon!

My partner and I had a really good meal here yesterday, genuinely nice service and the food was outstanding, just wish we lived closer but will definitely be back next time we visit Winchester.

We had a lovely evening. The staff were really friendly and attentive. The right amount of time was left between courses, and the food was delicious. There was a nice atmosphere, not too loud, not too quiet. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed it and had no experience of what others have complained about previously. We’re already discussing going back with friends next time.

To us, there were no Indian spices in our meal (biryanis, side, bread). Everything looked the same: yellow and tasted the same:salty and fatty. The paratha & naan were soggy and fell apart into a mess. Ironically, we were attracted to this takeaway by all the 5 star reviews, which, we have concluded, must be works of fiction. Did not consume very much of it, but it was enough to make us unwell. The first and last time we will be using this establishment.
