We dined for Mother’s Day lunch yesterday and we’re disappointed that there wasn’t an acknowledgment of Mother’s Day. However, the real disappointment was when we received the bill and discovered we’d been charged £25 for poppadoms and pickles, of which we didn’t stipulate how many we required. La Raj has always been on the pricey side but as the food is usually of excellent quality, it wouldn’t be an issue - we’ve also had numerous takeaways which you are required to collect and pay cash which isn’t always convenient. The price point is just to excessive and unfortunately, we won’t be returning.

We’ve eaten here many times. Last year I found out I was intolerant to dairy and eggs. Last night the waitress came over to take our order I told have about my intolerances. She got the manager who said everything had ghee in it, I was shocked with his statement most places just fob you off to make money and take a chance on contamination. I really appreciated his honesty, obviously values customer more than money. We left and had the normal steak and chips from a pub. Before I knew about my intolerances I would have the Naga Len…. It’s dynamite!

I was going to go until I saw the food hygiene rating. I won't list it here because it could improve and be re inspected. Hopefully they will have a higher score than when I went but decided not to buy food due to the rating. I cannot comment any more than this. You can street park near by.

We ordered two chicken bhuna’s and a Punjabi butter chicken, our Bhunas were ok but my mums so called Buttef Chicken was actually a Korma, we told the manager and although he did offer us a different dish, he was very rude, we said to him that butter chicken should not be coconut flavoured…. He said that if my mum would like to try to make a butter chicken in his kitchen, then serve it to the customers, then see who’s curry people would rather eat! How rude! Very sorry to say had takeaway of lamb ticka dish and special balti l. ast night Feb. 15th. but was extremely disappointed. The lamb was very tough, my wife's dish, and my balti didn't have much content to it nice spice but not much in way of meat etc. Very unhappy with regard to the price of £39 for two meals. Always had nice sit down restaurant food but this was very poor, unlikely to order takeaway away again from here.

Ordered our takeaway on a Saturday night it came within 30 minutes it was hot and delicious. It is unusual for any takeaway to arrive on time and be hot but Mumbai managed this I had chicken takeaway masala with pilau rice and spicy chips i would recommend this takeaway/restaurant 😋 👌
