The best restaurants serving Indian food in North East

Beautiful Indian restaurant in the heart of Newcastle city centre. Booked a table as it was Saturday night, which is very advisable. The restaurant is fabulous inside beautiful decor and service, and food is amazing 👏. Beautiful starter main and bread as you can see In the photos.

Great restaurant, we have been searching for a quality, friendly restaurant for a while since the ones in nearby Durham have gone downhill. Plentiful food and of a high quality, staff were great and we will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant

Sin duda, este es sin duda el mejor restaurante indio en el noreste. Nos encanta la comida india y hemos probado tantos restaurantes indios en toda Inglaterra. ¡Yo digo que esto está en el top 3! La comida es increíblemente sabrosa y el personal es muy amable. El ambiente es muy bueno también.

Only indians we order from now. Have tried most around sunderland and washington nothing compares. Each order is just as good as the last. Everything is always cooked to perfection and the staff are so friendly even down to handing our meal over at the door. Highly recommend this place.

Used to regularly order here up until a couple of months ago when it first got bad. Tried again for the 3rd time and it will be the last. Three times its been consecutively bad, which is odd because the food used to be SO good. Everything I used to order tastes different and is just kind of lacking and bland now. The garlic rice is spicy now when it didn't used to be and the currys are supy thick and stingey. Today I got barely any sauce and the rice was spicy again after asking for it not to be. The amount of sauce is an actual joke, the picture I've added is after adding water to bulk it out. But yeah, shame

Party of 8, booked in advance to ensure we got in. 2 many dishes to list everything we ordered, but we all had starters and mains and a few nans washed down with various drinks. Everyone agreed the food was excellent, service was spot on. Nice venue, nice staff, good food and value for money, what more could you want. Would highly recommend.

Just divine, you know a great find when you look at the menu: fabulous from start to finish. Staff are just so sweet helpful and friendly. Just our starter was delicious. Poppadoms and chutneys to start, the best I’ve had up here. We had Cauliflower to start. Then Dal Tarka, Palak Paneer and the Aubergine with Spinach. Shared a rice and a Garlic Naan. Every dish was unique, fresh and just sublime. It’s my second meal here and I will not be going anywhere else. My friend has written a review on trip advisor and agreed how special Zamorins is❤️😋

Ate early evening so not as busy as expected to be later, food was superb and service was helpful and lovely. A great little Indian restaurant with a warm welcome and a quick walk to the wonderful view of Durham Cathedral.

Driver very polite and efficient

We are situated on the campsite 5 minutes drive away. However we are in a motorhome, so difficult to move, and thought we’d get a delivery as stipulated several times on the website. When we rang up to order they said they don’t do deliveries. Don’t bother looking forward to an Indian delivery and we’ve suggested they change the wording on the website. ORDER LOST

Absolutely fabulous restaurant, food and staff were amazing. Great atmosphere and a fantastic selection to choose from. Will definitely be back.
